Happy Weekend, Betsy. Wish you were with us on the garden tour… you would have been so inspired. Glorious. I didn’t take pictures, as I wanted to respect these folks’ privacy… but seriously considered setting up my tent and squatting.

Immediately after taking one, we’d head out to the magnificent well stocked and beautifully laid our garden centre/nursery on the estate of the Duke of Westminster , inspired to improve on ours.
I always wanted to go to the yearly Chelsea Garden Show at least once…alas. At the end of it all the place he in the designed competing gardens were given away to the throngs of visitors🌿😍
But it was enough for us go to the Duke’s estate and enjoy splendid afternoon. We never left without a few new additions to plant. And of course we had to stop and have a cup of coffee and a pastry in their beautiful tearooms.
I really do appreciate the thought, sis. I’m so glad you enjoyed, and I bet you took more than a few mental snapshots😎💕

he really is riding that wave … at a surf break in the Bahamas, 2 dolphins showed up and surfed the waves for about a half hour, they’d ride a wave to the inside then kick out and swim back to the peak and catch another one
they ride ahead of the wave crest and within the wave base, like that whale but a little deeper. that’s the spot of max propulsion if you’re underwater, apparently
I swam out with mask and fins and tried to talk to them, I’d blow trills and bloops in my snorkel as they passed me on their way back out to the peak
they didn’t pay me no nevermind, they’d give me side-eye as they swam past but didn’t hover or do much talking back, tho they did some squeaks and whistles between themselves, it seemed like

Anybody that has not tried great fresh raw tuna has no idea what their missing. If you can’t stand the idea of raw fish then try a fresh #1 tuna steak blackened. There is absolutely no resemblance to what you get in a can or foil pouch. You won’t think it’s tuna!
And if you do try sushi for the first time ask for the Yellowfin. It has the mildest flavor of any of the traditional sushi orders. And California roll and crap like that is NOT Sushi! The stuff at buffets are a poor resemblance to what you get at a Sushi bar where a specially trained Japanese cuts and makes your order before your eyes.

A big reason why the ACE (Accumulated Cyclone Energy index) in the Atlantic basin has been down is that there have been a lot fewer long track storms. Not many storms have been forming in the MDR (Main Development Region) from African waves and tracking long distances across the Atlantic piling up ACE points day after day.
Now it’s back to bed for me.
Far more storms have instead been forming in the western Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico and are shorter lived.

Jesus says regarding judging – DON’T. The average Christian is the most penetratingly critical individual. Criticism is a part of the ordinary faculty of man; but in the spiritual domain nothing is accomplished by criticism. The effect of criticism is a dividing up of the powers of the one criticized; the Holy Ghost is the only One in the true position to criticize, He alone is able to show what is wrong without hurting and wounding. It is impossible to enter into communion with God when you are in a critical temper; it makes you hard and vindictive and cruel, and leaves you with the flattering unction that you are a superior person. Jesus says, as a disciple cultivate the uncritical temper. It is not done once and for all. Beware of anything that puts you in the superior person’s place.
There is not getting away from the penetration of Jesus. If I see the mote in your eye, it means I have a beam in my own. Every wrong thing that I see in you, God locates in me. Every time I judge, I condemn myself (see Romans ii. 17-20). Stop having a measuring rod for other people. There is always one fact more in every man’s case about which we know nothing. In the rejuvenation or spiritual rebirth we experience something of enlightenment. It puts us in a spot where we can see clearly our faults and many of our weaknesses, not all. The tough ones are usually the most familiar. What should we do??
Number one we must love ourselves, we cannot walk with God our lord and savior if we do not. Charity is love, charity? Yes the act of loving what is unworthy and giving in humility of oneself. I’m nothing but God says love. So, in that message from our lord what becomes blatant is we are surrounded by the “unworthy” and we begin to see the intent and failure of all. Then what? We love them in duty and obedience.
I little foundation in my life as a dad, “love them the most when they are unlovable”. When the “want to” has left the building, you love even more or you lose them.
Transfer this to this world of dirtbags, all are dust, the dust in the mouth of the serpent, why? He hates us and has no humility, it was taken from him and our “dust” is torture, he has no love due to no obedience, no charity. In charity we see our lord.
Having said this we cannot over look our place as judges. A whole lot of scripture on and in judges, why? We are priests of God, judges. Yes and judges are scripted with one job, judging. How can we as dirtbags ourselves? By Gods word, it is our guide.
So when you hear “don’t judge others” you disobey a very important edict our lord gave us if you follow this line of heresy. Regardless of what a believer says he judges. It’s why there are Christian schools, Catholic schools, why we have confessions, meditate on Gods word.
Judging is done in love as charity, humility, it is not condemning of others. Condemning is to curse another, it’s what moms and dads do in our current seasons. “You will never amount to anything” or “your not a boy your a girl” they are now condemned, thrown out like trash because they will never be enough. That’s not God.
God gave instructions TO THE CHURCH to separate the sinners who continue to sin in the congregation. Allow satan to have them. Why? Because the final judgement is not yet but when you die, there is still time to sway a soul from sin and Satan will torment that living soul just as if they were in hell. It changes people in hopes of redemption.
The church has taken this ridiculous attitude that “all is acceptable” marriage of men to men and women to women, putting gays in charge of churches, transsexuals, birth control, some advocate abortion, the sacraments of the demonic. They give exceptions due to skin color or cultural differences. (That is judging by the way) That is not of God.
The church IS the judge of this world, that is its place, and to turn your back and sit quietly while this world perishes is evil. Who will step up and pronounce sin for what it is f not the church. That folks is to judge.
Why spank a child if you do not judge his actions? You actually are judged as hating that child if you do not discipline him. Is this not the world today?
”judge not that ye be not judged” is not DO NOT JUDGE it is, you better look very closely at your own life before you ever open your mouth to judge another. God is a just and righteous God and every nook and cranny of your house will be examined for the same judgement you are making.
It is exactly why so many preachers and pastors fall, they are attacked for every judgement by the demonic that roam this earth. You must confess your sin, you must be holy, you must wear the robes of righteousness to stand and preach or teach. This is not a gift but a burden that is rewarded in heaven.
Remember the scripture “the ruler of this world has no place in me” John 14:30 it is why Jesus could judge this world and all the host of heaven and hell. He was crucified and rose up because of that fact. The ultimate act of humility. The son of God to lay down his life, it takes humility. To love a dirtbag so much that you die in their place, and that is our example of charity. Judgement is in love and an act of love, don’t think you are exempt your role is to clean your house and take up your cross. Speaking and acting on the truth, Gods word.

There are many kinds of prophets recorded in the pages of the Old Testament. The story of one wicked man, Balaam, is particularly interesting in that while his heart was set against God, he repeatedly emphasized one of God’s most beautiful and comforting attributes… God is not a man! The first step in knowing God personally rather than merely having knowledge about Him is to surrender to His goodness. Accept the sacrifice of His son for your sin and invite His Spirit to indwell your heart. As you allow the Holy Spirit to fill your being, He makes the scriptures come alive and, through prayer, you develop an ear for His voice.
God will always lead you according to His character. Ask the Lord today to reveal any areas you have tried to justify not walking with Him. God does not change the attributes of His holiness based on cultural norms.
Pray for those making policy in America’s halls of law and justice to seek God, surrender their ideas to Him, and know Him personally and not just in name.

For all who remember childhoods like this (GrandpaM💓), and for those of us who wish we had…
Several years ago I took Sherry canoeing on White River. We just ran downstream from Yorktown, IN to the landing at Mounds State park in Anderson. Right after we started we hit a little rapid with a big rock and got upset. Water was shallow.
Sherry was wearing a 1 piece swimming suit with a pair of shorts over it. I got the canoe righted and the cooler and us back into it and we went on our way. A little while later Sherry started screaming and stood up and almost upset us again. A crawdad fell out of her shorts into the bottom of the canoe. One of those things we will both never forget.
Hooboy!! I’m picturing it😂. Not that I’d have reacted any differently.
When we would go to my grandparents cabin on the Tennessee/ North Carolina border, one of my favorite things to do as a reptile and amphibian obsessed kid was to go turn over rocks in the creek and try to identify as many of the salamanders I could find! What an amazing time.
Those who have those memories, CR…like you…wouldn’t trade them for anything😊
I always felt at home in the Appalachians, just like I always felt at home out in the boonies in Florida.
There are different places which speak to every single one of us. If we’re lucky we get to live in them.
Saturday morning when I was a kid, after cartoons, was great. We lived one block from the edge of town. After that there was nothing but oil fields for miles and miles.
All of us kids would ride our bikes out into the oil fields and check all the sumps (where they would collect the water and some heavy crude from the wells) and check for animals to save. The critters would wade into what looked like water but the heavy crude under it would trap them and they would be stuck in the crude. We took rakes with us to help reach the critters that were still alive and pull them out.
We learned to watch the sun to tell the time. If we came home too late for lunch Mom would just tell us that she’s not a short order cook, if we wanted lunch we had there when it was served. I missed a lot of lunches.
Are we born loving God’s creations, patty? What a splendid childhood🤗💕 What I remember was that much of the time I was out of my mother’s sight bike riding. Today?
None of my grands when they were little were allowed out front. And isn’t that a shame?

Yes, we are born loving God’s creation.
Being out on our own in the oilfields taught us important life lessons. We are responsible for our actions. When we acted irresponsibly there was always a price to be paid. It’s always good to help others (critters) when they are in need and can’t help themselves.
I just can’t imagine growing up now with no freedom. They are being taught that they will always be watched and managed. That is so contrary to raising self assured, independent kids who will be self assured independent adults.
Every once on a while, the full import of what this country has become and the impact of it on my grands in their lives to come makes my stomach turn. It’s a nightmare and I see no exit doors…and the consequences for them terrify me.
Bet, the great thing is that even now I can anytime step out my front door and play in the boonies. 🙂 And sometimes I get to catch a snake and relocate it.

Skiing the middle Teton. This what you get into doing Alpine touring. It is a whole different ball game than cross country or downhill on a groomed slope. The risks are far greater but so are the rewards.
Insane. I basically lived at Grand Targhee and Teton Village for several winters. Those ski resorts are on either side of the Tetons.
I was at Grand Targhee a few years ago for my sons wedding. It was summer so it was biking season up there. However there was still a pretty good cornice at the top. We stayed at the resort for 4 days for the wedding and then my Sherry and I and my son and his wife rented a condo down in Driggs for a week and went to see the sights, including Yellow Stone.
BTW I drove back from there to our home here about 35 miles NNE of Indianapolis, only stopping for gas and pee breaks. About 1,500 miles the way I went because I refused to take I-80 which I have driven plenty of times before trucking.

Our co-op is reporting about 40,000 customers without power. All across east Texas that number is in the hundreds of thousands. Some places may not get power until next Friday.

The weather models were right! Hope all get their power back soon. Only 3 killed from what I’ve read but the problem is the threat of severe weather will continue today and tomorrow.
Our forecast in Tarrant County says thunderstorms starting at 11 am and continuing all day long….just as it has every single day last week forecast.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

God morning, Treeper friends,
Our Tree has grown so much! I have had too little down time and can barely keep up to read comments, let alone to post anything. We have such beautiful contributors here – and they always offer snippets of their Spirits to share. When they are missing – Leon, Mary Van Deusen – we miss them and we notice. We can only wish them well and that life has carried them to their respective missions – as God would have it.
Comings and goings – we pray them blessed and for hedges of protection around our pals – our Tree family.
My contribution to the Tree this morning… I have sweet news!
I placed an inquiry with Veteran’s archives for my father’s personnel records. My father was a very mysterious person and never spoke about his military service. I knew he was a military police officer narcotics division and that when I was a child – he was gone 11 months of the year to South Korea. He was training South Korean troops to be police officers – 400 men per year.
The South Korean government sent my mother silk, dolls, her own letters and commendations, and we had a plaque on the wall – I remember it because it was funny to me as a kid – it was from Kim Moo Duck and it was written in mostly Korean – and now writing this… I wonder if it were all a joke and he had some other family he was tending to in another part of the world? I was born in 1973 and he retired in May of 1981. He had fought in the Korean War so he had many years of military service, plus odd stories of other jobs he held.
I remember the drug dogs. German Shepherds. They weren’t friendly, but I wanted to pet them anyway. I wasn’t allowed to go near them in their kennels on the military base at Fort Benjamin Harrison. The family stopped traveling with my dad when I was born. He married my mother and adopted her son and two daughters from her previous marriage. I am his only biological daughter.
Dad had some odd stories.
One such was driving trucks and delivering a truckload of Tropicana Orange Juice to Al Capone’s home in Florida.
Another odd story – I was pregnant at 32 years old and learned for the first time from my aunt that my father was not a biological member of the family. He was “placed” with the family and a birth certificate was “created” for him, so that he could enter the military. He had no birth certificate. He was apparently a consequence of a clandestine relationship with someone out of Pennsylvania and the woman who became pregnant had the child removed and she was banished to Colorado. A birth certificate had to be created so Dad could enter the military.
He was underage and with his parents permission, he entered the Navy first and then switched to the Army a year later.
He told me he fell off a Navy ship and had to be fished out of the sea using a bucket and a rope.
He had a half paralyzed face from being in a vehicular accident and going through the windshield. One side of his face wrinkled as he aged and the other was as smooth and defined as a twenty-something. My parents very closely resembled Maria and Captain Von Trapp from the Sound of Music – spitting images.
He had an injury where he was investigating a crime and there was more than one perpetrator and one of the guys came up behind him and crushed his neck, damaging a vertebra, however he was not medically discharged from service.
How strange is this? Seriously – I have NO HISTORY on my strange father. You know about as much as I know. They don’t talk about it!
His DD215 is several pages with codes that are unknown to me. I am receiving help from a staffer at the War Memorial in downtown Indianapolis in deciphering – but I had only sent the staffer two pages for deciphering – until I found about 21 other pages with mysterious breaks in service dates. Maybe these were campaign dates? I can’t be sure.
Work and life demands took over, and I had long since forgotten the veteran record request, however I received an email this week that my record request was approved and processed.
The personnel record of my father was a corrupted file and could not be opened – so I will call them on Monday – however, I was able to receive the Transmittal letter.
Within it – I was notified that my request for the replacement of his medals and commendations was approved and they were shipping his service awards to me. His home had been looted at his death by my father’s crooked brother and it was quite the fracture of our family.
So a piece of my family history is coming home. I will have a commemorative plaque made and have them mounted.
So grateful the agency’s thoughtful and kind handling of a veteran family request. I am my father’s only daughter and no matter the personal effects – I carry his legacy in my heart. Someday I hope to piece together more of his life.

I really find the present use of God’s symbols offensive. Just like the drag queens ‘Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence’ they show contempt, even hostility towards Christians.

Greenland getting snow. Surface Mass Balance (SMB) is the Snow accumulation minus melt. As you can see the summer melt has been delayed as the accumulation is exceeding the melt. Low pressure is centered over much of the Greenland ice dome and it likely to stay there or a time.
Why does this matter? Well the alarmists have been saying for 30 years or more that the ice in Greenland is going to melt and cause a spike in Sea Level Rise (SLR). It ain’t happening and so the Bozo’s at Vanity Fair and all the alarmists are going to be disappointed because once again it looks like the big cities on the east coast will not be going under water as they have been predicting all this time.

Joe Bastardi says that he believes this winter we will have a pretty strong Modoki El Nino. That means highest sea surface temperatures will be further west than during a traditional El Nino and based on the analogue of past years when that has happened it will mean a quite different snow and winter storm pattern than last year. For one thing we can expect the large east coast cities along the I-95 corridor to get blizzards and heavy snows next winter in that situation. It will be fine with me if DC gets buried. The fewer days congress is in session the better!
Praise The Lord for an early morning thunderstorm to help me sleep through most of the night! I was a little unnerved by my left shoulder popping out of socket on account of my torn rotator cuff while I slept.
Thankfully it corrected itself in a brief but painful fashion a few minutes after waking up. Every morning/day/afternoon or night I don’t have feel like dragging myself to the ER to be abused by uncaring staff after begging for treatment as an uninsured chronic pain patient with perceived “white privilege” is a Victory and a Blessing. This might shape up as a halfway decent Caturday.

Here in Central IN, we have Ortho Indy and you can just bypass ERs and go straight to the orthopedic surgeons. They even have an imaging center built right within near the Noblesville area.
Do you have anything similar near you? I assure you.. an orthopedic surgeon will likely be much more sympathetic!!
