Speaking of which. I noticed that we still have a nearly full bottle of Cuervo Gold in the liquor cabinet the other day. So today while shopping I picked up the fixings for Margaretas. I’m thinking that we will offer Margaretas for our 4th of July celebration at my house.
Every year that I was home I had Dad and any of my brothers and sisters that could come over for steak Kabobs for dinner followed by fireworks. I have already invited my siblings and their families over for this year.
Every year I scour the fireworks stores for deals after the 4th and stock up with the big stuff for the next year. Last year I was on the road and so those two big boxes of 3″ mortar rounds I bought two years ago should be starting to get good and hot by now.
To launch them I have 5 tubes nailed to a 2 x 10 that I set up. I buy extra fuse so I can fire all five tubes together for the finale.
And don’t worry. I was cross trained very well in demolitions by a some of the best there are.

I feel stupid for not knowing this, but U.S. bombers dropped so many incendiary bombs on Wuhan, China, during a 3-day bombing raid during WWII that the entire city was essentially burnt to the ground.
Chiang Kai-shek and his allies supposedly gave the U.S. permission to bomb the city which at the time was being occupied by the Japanese. It’s not really known how many Chinese civilians were killed. The original estimate was 20,000. But now it’s believed that at least 40,000 civilians were killed.
I guess Wuhan took a little revenge, eh?
I still think the virus was circulating elsewhere first, but I digress.
It technically wasn’t Wuhan that was firebombed bur rather one of the three towns that later merged to form the city of Wuhan.
It pales in comparison to the atrocities committed by the Japanese against the Chinese populace.
Total war is an ugly thing no matter if it occurs in Dresden, Tokyo, Atlanta, the Shenandoah Valley, Stalingrad or London. Murdering a few civilians can get you hung, murdering cities can get you a medal.
Yeah, but it was still bad. I find it intriguing because it appears that it wasn’t well documented at all.
Through out the war the Japanese had more divisions in the CBI than in the Pacific or Manchuria/Korea. The casualties the Chinese suffered were horrific compared to what the US and the rest of the allies suffered in the war on that side of the world.

I always wonder how certain effects are achieved in photos. Not that I’m an expert, but it does give a feel that a baby’s head will be peering down soon. But the teletubbies don’t use such harsh lighting.
Yeah, me and some of my friends many years ago, were into 35 mm cameras, and taking pictures. You used to be able to get different kinds of film and/or filters, which would make for some interesting photos.
Here’s another image. It’s real. Hard to tell sometimes. Rural Oklahoma. I don’t miss living in California at all.

the sunburst in the prior picture could be due aperture effects, a starburst filter, or some such thing. It can also be photoshopped. Again, I am not knowledgeable enough to tell which. But it does make for interesting browsing for the curious.
Those streaks of sunlight are called “Glory” and that is exactly what they are.
I got to travel through OK a couple times; I thought it was very interesting country. We don’t really miss CA either. We ended up in the NW because of work, some years ago; and while the rain and overcast and cooler temps most of the time are pretty hard to beat; we do miss the things we used to be able to do in the south land; just have no interest in the high cost of living, and the immorality and crime pushed down your throat every day from all sides!

Good morning, Flyover. I post images from various places including California’s Mojave Desert region. The Sonoran Desert in Arizona has a lot of scenic value.
Took a short drive to Newalla, OK to see someone who was giving away a cat tree. I was amazed at all the trees and vegetation in the rural areas around Newalla and Choctaw. We have had rain here recently, but even in the summer season, everything is still green. Of course, there is a lot of range land where it’s nothing but miles and miles of cow piles.
I missed out on the cat tree, but no problem. Nice drive through the area.

Some time this summer I’m getting a new desk top computer. It will be a top of the line tower type so that I can improve/modernize it as needed. What I do know is that it will not be a Dell. I was very unhappy with the last Dell I purchased and their customer service. When I do get set up on the new computer I will also go VPN. Have not decided which VPN provider I will go with but I have read that many are scams that use and sell your information and thus defeat the purpose of having it.
I really don’t know why I’m bothering with it, or anything else, since Saint Greta of the Thunbergs has declared that according to “top scientists” the climate end times are going to begin in 18 days and there is nothing we can do about it and we’re all going to burn up in climate hell!
I’m really sorry to hear that news. Our garden is doing so well now! The “4th of July” tomato plant has a bunch of blooms on it. It is supposed to bear meaty tomatoes by the 4th. green onion sets and leaf lettuce are sprouting. Cucs and zucchini plants are looking great.
I just order cast iron replacement grates for my Char-Broil commercial IR grill. It would cost over $400.00 to replace that grill. Everything else on that 6 year old grill, except the electric start, appears to be in good shape so the $140.00 purchase of new grates should pay off. I’m not going to fool with the electric start. I have the technique for starting it with a grill lighter down pat and the electric start on every grill I have ever had failed in a year or less anyway. As far as I’m concerned, stainless steel body and cabinet is the way to go when purchasing a NG or propane grill. Just buy a good heavy cover for it and use it if it is going to be out in the weather as mine has been year round for six years.
There is going to come a time when that grill, or another will be in a covered area. I’ve figured out the additions and remodeling we’re going to do to our home and the garage and included in that will be expanding my 1 1/2 car garage to a deep 3 1/2 car garage with good sized covered concrete apron. the closest bay to the house, which will be the original garage will be insulated and heated and house my spare fridge, deep freeze, work bench, hand tools, power tools, air compressor and stuff like that. The other two bays for vehicles and also be insulated but unheated. Deep enough to have plenty of wall space for storage of stuff that will not be hurt by cold and a little condensation.
More to be done to the house.

They’ve shut down plants, refuse to restart despite the entire county, economy, and people suffering to keep afloat. They do ship s#it loads of the stuff to China though, apparently fossil fuel is only catastrophic in certain countries of the world. Now if only the Greta would give us B$$$$, the Russians are dying to sell us pebble bed reactors or some such like. Of course we’ll never see the dough as our government, like yours is too busy looting to give a crap about it’s citizens.

And you shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things (see Leviticus 18-19), and therefore I abhorred them. But I have said unto you, You shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that flows with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people. You shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and you shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. And you shall be holy unto Me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that you should be Mine.”
1. “You shall therefore keep all My statutes, and all My judgments, and do them: that the land, to which place I bring you to dwell therein, spew you not out.” Repentance, and the New Birth from above, and conversion, can only come to pass by obedience of faith. The Stronger Man Christ must first come in and bind the strong man of sin and the old nature of the devil, in order to make the New Creation, the Temple of the Spirit of God. Man being restored into the image and likeness of God can only happen by grace and truth being wrought in the heart of the one who believes in Jesus Christ. And the effect of that grace and truth wrought in us by God, will be that we replicate the character of our Father in heaven, by doing His works, His commandments, showing by the proof of our lives what is the good and perfect will of God.
2. “And you shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.” The witness we are to bear before the world, is the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ having wrought in us a New Creation, by His Spirit. They that are of the world, hear the world, and cannot be drawn to Jesus by the things of the world. If any man love the world, he is yet constituted an enemy of God, and has not seen Him nor known Him. Every one who is of the truth hears Jesus’ voice, and comes out from the world, and is then cleansed from all the defilements of the world, and Born Again. The things of the spirits in the world cannot bring any one to the knowledge of Jesus and salvation.
3. “But I have said unto you, You shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that flows with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.” The mission we have commenced upon as Christians, is to announce Glad Tidings of the kingdom of God to come; which goes completely contrary to all that is of the world, and the ungodly life. We take a course in life in direct contradiction to the spirit of this age: we want to receive correction and conviction from the Spirit of God, and take His side against all the evil and ruin in our nature and behavior; with desire to be changed into the image and likeness of Jesus. The world takes His Name in vain, and blasphemes Jesus Christ, and everything which God says is how we are to live. The proud think that they will continue for ever; but God has promised us that He is going to do something else: and that He Himself would bring us to His glory, and make us all perfect in His image; that He may give us a kingdom and eternal life. While we look for now on a world presently belonging to others, who are ruining all that God has made; we walk by faith and hope and love for Him that will bring all these things to pass.
4. “You shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and you shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.” We are to learn discernment and good judgment, and to put a difference between the clean and the unclean. The dietary laws for Israel are for instructing us how to live in this world. We are to walk in this world as not being of the world. We are to walk according to the word of God, by eating the word and digesting it. We are the children of God, made in His image: we are not made to be like beasts and creeping things, which are formed of the elements of the world; but to be like God.
5. “And you shall be holy unto Me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that you should be Mine.” Jesus did not come into the world to make peace, but to be the cause of divine separation between men, the good from the bad, the clean from the unclean. Through Jesus’ words the thoughts and intents of man’s heart are made known; what kind he is. There are only two kinds in the world: one like Abel, who believed the truth, and took for all his accounting of himself before God, Christ coming in the flesh to redeem us to God. His account of himself, and all his offering to God, was founded on the Memorial and Only Worthy blood and richness of Christ. The other kind in the world, are like Cain; who refused the knowledge and faith of Christ, as having anything to do with him. He had no care, interest, or concern for the condition of his soul with God, nor of the Only Way which God had provided, in His righteousness and mercy, for reconciliation and redemption through Christ. Displeasing God, or murdering his brother who was better than he, was nothing that Cain had any respect for, and therefore was himself nothing respected by God: he had made his choices, that he would not be subject to the Spirit of God and His word, that “THIS” should rule over him. This is what the LORD describes as having “severed us from other people, that we should be His.”

Happy Caturday. My felines are all fed and loosed on the World. The sun is coming up so I am less worried about one of them being snatched by one of the oversized owls that hang out in my yard in the early morning.
Now that the dog has had his breakfast and I have had a nice cup of turmeric tea and a sizeable chunk of raw ginger my back pain has finally subsided and I am going back to bed.
I am beginning to wonder if one of my less than stable ex girlfriends that I acquired when I was still trafficking in negative vibrations as an unrepentant drunk might have made some sort of voodoo type effigy of me that she sticks pins into every so often. It’s either that or I have become so sensitive to barometric pressure changes, Florida might not be the best place for me to live. I will leave y’all to it, have a good one!

THE SECRET OF THE LORD
“The secret (friendship R.V.) of the Lord is with them that fear Him.” Psalm xxv. 14
What is the sign of a friend? That he tells you secret sorrows? No, that he tells you secret joys. Many will confide to you their secret sorrows, but the last mark of intimacy is to confide secret joys. Have we ever let God tell us any of His joys, or are we telling God our secrets so continually that we leave no room for Him to talk to us? At the beginning of our Christian life we are full of requests to God, then we find that God wants to get us into relationship with Himself, to get us in touch with His purposes. Are we so wedded to Jesus Christ’s idea of prayer – “Thy will be done” – that we catch the secrets of God? The things that make God dear to us are not so much His great big blessings as the tiny things, because they show His amazing intimacy with us; He knows every detail of our individual lives.

I am sure you all have seen the stories about ice shelves in the Antarctic collapsing. Well as Paul Harvey used to say, here is the rest of the story.
First off it is important to understand that sea ice that is floating free on top of the water does not restrict the flow of glaciers. It is the sea ice that projects out into the water but is still grounded on the bottom that is believed to serve as a buttress which slows the advance of the glaciers flowing down from the high points on the land to the shore.
When a piece of that grounded sea ice breaks off and floats away then the advance of the glacier it was buttressing has been shown to speed up as much a 6X the speed of it’s previous advance.
That is the primary mechanism by which the alarmist claim that sea level rise will increase. The Greenland ice mass is tiny compared to the mass of ice at Antarctica. Any really catastrophic increase in sea levels, like the alarmists keep claiming is going to happen, must come from the massive ice sheet that covers Antarctica.
The bottom line is that over all ice volume in Antarctica has been growing. Where the alarmists like to concentrate is on the west Antarctic peninsula the tip of which is not even in the Antarctic circle and which is where there has been some ice loss. However that loss has been more than compensated for by the increase in ice mass of east Antarctica.

I just watched CNN’s Paula Newton interview University of Essex’s Prof of Government Natasha Lindstaedt on CNN Newsroom. CNN often drags Natasha on when they want to air a dependable Democrat Party campaign commercial under the guise of an interview with an “expert”. Natasha is a professor of Government at the University of Essex in the UK and so she is an expert on US politics. The discussion was, as usual on CNN, transparently biased towards Biden and the Democrats, praising his ability as a dealmaker to get the “Fiscal Responsibility Act” passed. In fact, both sides are quite unhappy with that “turd sandwich.” However, the most comical aspect of the interview was Natasha’s and Paula’s attempt to explain Biden’s dangerously low approval numbers (On May 7th it was 36%). Both agreed that we will never see presidents with 60 % approval anymore because the country is so polarized. They did not explain where they purchased the crystal balls that enabled them to see so far into the future so that we could get some for ourselves. The real reason Biden’s approval so low is, just in case no one has noticed, that since everything in America from university admissions to presidential elections is rigged now-a-days President McGoo was installed in 2020. And rigged elections require rigged “news” media which in turn require rigged “experts” to explain why their favorite incoherent lightweight has 36% approval numbers (What would President McGoo’s numbers be if the “news” media were not constantly covering for him?). In fact, when the next Ronald Reagan is found, and when what passes for our “news” media is sufficiently shamed for its constant partisan hoaxes that it is forced to start doing its job of real journalism, one will start to see competent presidents again and, accordingly, much higher presidential approval numbers. To get to that point, however, the corrupt media games must stop.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

With today’s busy lifestyle, you may be running here and there from sun up to sun down and wonder if the Lord is keeping up. Is the Lord truly with you wherever you go? Paul asks the Corinthian believers, “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you?” (1 Corinthians 6:19). Wherever you go, He goes, which begs the question, “Are you taking Him where He wants to go?”
Learn to listen to His voice as He guides you. Are you frightened to go new places? He will give you courage. Do you feel inadequate when it comes to helping someone dealing with serious problems? Ask the Holy Spirit inside you to give you the words to say. Do you experience indecisiveness?
Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the wisdom to make the right choices.
What an honor, help, and hope it is to have the Holy Spirit within you. Thank the Father and the Son for this precious gift, for Jesus said, “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you” (John 16:7).
Be confident that God loves you and that His Holy Spirit will help you when you ask. Pray that you and all believers will increasingly be sensitive and obedient to His voice. Intercede for the citizens and government officials of the United States, that the Lord will have His way in each heart and in all political issues.
