35 R representatives are a “No” on the debt bill, but with the 212 D votes, it only takes 6 R votes to pass.
Which is why the Uniparty uses “gerrymandering” in each State, to insure the “R vs D” makeup of the House stays NEAR 50/50; for just this kind of situation.
They do the same in the Senate, its the ‘fillibuster rule’ ploy and enables them to blunt the efforts of something like s “freedom caucus” (traditionally known as a “rump party”) to have any effect.
And, WHO actually carves up districts; either political commissions that both wings of the Uniparty agree on, or in Court cases, where the R party and the D party ‘fight’ in Court, which is exactly like two wolves deciding what to have for dinner.
RNC, and State R parties, ARE the heart of the Swamp. While our attention is focused on the elected PUBLIC officials, they are free to cut their deals, and engage in their machinations to paint districts and States whatever color suits their purposes, and while we focus on ballot fraud and voter I.D., we are distracted from this more foundational fraud which is used to thwart representive Govt.
Why I said numerous times to break up the GOP and start a new Party. As long as the RNC exists there will continue to be a swamp.

MORE “DAMAGE” THAN IS HAPPENING NOW?
Biggest problem with a third party is ballot placement which is highly important. That would be controlled in every state/county/local by a D or R. When I was third party after the GOPe destroyed the Pre-Maga Maga campaign of Pat Buchanan, that was our greatest obstacle. They stuck us way down the ballot. Most people pull A or B, or their attention span doesn’t go below the first or second, which always go to the R or D.
Wouldn’t help with the placement, it would help with getting on the ballot, I had suggested some time back that MAGA usurp the Constitution Party; we’re the ones that want to keep it and want it followed anyway, so it just makes sense.
True, I think sunrei has also mentioned that. The main point being that the D’s or R’s control the voting apparatus. It is in their itnerest to block a legitimate third party unless its a splitter of theirs.
With Trump as third party it would have made a HUGE difference in my opinion.
No other candidate could pull this off, even though Ross Perot was ahead of his time. Perot ran third party to stick it to the Bush family who he loathed. In that respect he accomplished what he set out to do.
My take on Perot the reform party was created to split the anti-NAFTA movement in the GOP which would have drawn many blue dog democrats & independents to the Make America First Again campaign of pat Buchanan who was PDJT decades before him.
I viewed Perot as a 90’s version of Teddy Roosevelt’s third party run that brought globalist stooge Wilson to power by splitting the Taft vote. Or like today with DeSantis.
Perot ran on one issue, trade, and he was surprisingly successful against the corrupt establishment GOP.
Of course, they set out to destroy him and did a good job of making him look like a crazy man. They did the same thing to Ron Paul as you know. They tried to do the same with Trump.
The difference is people are catching on to their corruption, and the middle class knows they have suffered from these trade deals and immigration. Who knows how successful Perot would be today?
The only reason people are catching on to their corruption is because there is so much more news available via the internet.

There is that ol’ wives tale that “all politics is local” going back to at least 1932. Those ol’ wives are smart.

Went to Vancouver for several days about 10 years ago and stayed in the heart of downtown. It was a beautiful trip and the restaurants were incredible. One day we took a drive up to Whistler and on the return trip missed the first bridge into Vancouver and took the second one further East.

When someone starts blurting out the alarmed rhetorical questions (How did this happen?? What shall we do?? More safe places?? More free drugs??) it tells me 1) they have just now (apparently) figured out that reality is really real; and, 2) they think if “we” talk about it, it’ll get all better, etc.
In other words, they’ve been living with a paper bag over their heads and now that they have finally taken said paper bag off, they want points for talking about it. And their talking about it will become a talking point for the grant applications they are preparing.
Spend years in denial, finally wake up, start bleating how bad it all is….and then start yelling at everybody else to “WAKE UP!”—

LOL, that’s easy. I bet you know the answer too…… it was our Deep-State that ran the 2020 steal. How do I know? Just look at how they have reacted since. Intimidating witnesses, going after groups investigating the open fraud, and getting 100% of the elected GOP to pledge that 2020 was a “fair and honest” election. If I recall correctly, the theory was that oil is composed of dead microbes that can survive at tremendous heat and pressure deep in the earth.
I first heard about this theory from a book someone posted on another site over a decade ago.

My geology teacher told us some other non-pc things like Pole shifts in the earth’s past, which explains the deep frozen mammoths with temperate vegetation in their mouths and stomachs as they were quick frozen. One of my biology teachers brought up the anatomical differences between human races in regards to fast twitch vs slow twitch muscle fibers as one example. I had some battles later on with my pointing what our assigned class textbooks were saying in regards to human population growth being extremely anti-environmental and than not being against the driver of human population growth, immigration. We do indeed have some circumstantial evidence that the magnetic poles of the Earth might have “flipped” one or more times in the past. I would not have thought that this was possible until I discovered a compass that I’d had for many years (a hiker’s type of compass with a sight … I don’t remember the proper term now … which can “lock” the dial in place), and discovered that it now points South.
So….”fossil fuels” is right up there with “climate change”.

WE don’t “KNOW” more than at any time in human history, although we may well have more DATA than at any time previous, but our interpretation is totally scewed.
For instance, did you know the data shows eating ice cream at least 2x’s/week, virtually eliminates risk for type 2 diabetes or artheriosclerosis?
That little factoid has been BURIED in the studies of “Americans eating habitsy” for 20-30 years, because it simply dorsn’t fit the narrative.
Either the underlieing methodology of the study modeling is totally flawed, or we all should be eating more ice cream.
This is the study conducted every year, that is the basis for the “food pyramid”, and all of the “recomendations” of the FDA, etc.

I guess it’s time to be that guy again, the one to repeat a basic principle of ALL science. SINGLE STUDIES PROVE NOTHING. It doesn’t matter what the conclusions of a single study are until many others are able to corroborate by re-running the experiment and ending up with similar results. Most of the time it does not work, which makes the few studies that ARE replicated more significant. (No Replication, No Fact, as all my college science teachers emphasized.)
Regarding climate science, or any other discipline, it’s EASY to find stuff to disagree with BECAUSE SINGLE STUDIES DON’T MATTER and are usually flawed in some way. There’s a recurring problem with media, not just msm, because of the need to emphasize drama to retain audience. News sources from anywhere look for single studies with any kind of outrageous or titillating conclusions. It makes the general coverage of scientific work highly misleading for general readers and viewers.
I don’t think most of what we know is wrong. I just don’t think people are comfortable with how much we don’t know. The fact that we have made advances compared to the knowledge basis of a human during the Middle Ages does not mean we understand even half of how our bodies or the natural world works.
I used to wonder how we knew that oil came from fossils. Then I found out that we didn’t know that.

I have heard this before, and I freely admit that I am utterly fascinated to wonder how this process could actually work. There’s a few dozen Nobel Prizes waiting for whoever first describes it.

The House vote is over. It passed. No more riders or amendments allowed. But the Senate has not voted yet. Changes CAN be made there. If changes are made there, and that version of the bill passes, it then goes to a bipartisan reconciliation committee to iron out differences between the versions.

President Trump’s views are already well known. He has already made his views clear –including at the CNN townhall. NO raising of the debt ceiling. NO weak compromises. Better to force the country to live within its means.

I gave up booze for about 2 years after a DUI in Florida. I moved to NC and started drinking again and promptly got my 2nd and then 3rd DUIs. I moved back to NY a few years later in 1997. When Y2K approached I came up with this wild idea that my New Year’s resolution should be to stop drinking. I thought of this in the early fall of ’99 and I couldn’t wait for New Years’s Eve. I stopped drinking in about October but went out on New Year’s Eve, had a few beers to celebrate my upcoming new life and never drank again. For years after, I had a bottle of Skyy Vodka and some beer in the frig for guests. Whenever I opened the frig they reminded me that I was kicking alcohol’s butt. Maybe God took my desire away but it’s been easy street these 23+ years and I’ve suffered some traumatizing losses in these years.

Two years ago this month, I wrote my first article about DOJ concealing thousands of hours of surveillance video from January 6.
For two years, I have beat (banged?) the drum for public release of all footage.
That said–I supported Tucker’s sole access to the footage for one reason: releasing clips must be a surgical strike within a frame of context. Flooding the zone with random clips without proper context minimizes the impact.
Tucker did that with some success–I’m not here to explain why more clips weren’t aired, I have no knowledge –but that approach should be repeated again at least in this next stage.
For the first time, we have the chance to control the narrative on Jan 6 and expose the fraudulent J6 committee, which acted as both a coverup of the truth and a missile aimed at Trump.

SECTION 1.Chapter 81, Election Code, is amended by adding Section 81.006 to read as follows:
Sec.81.006. ACCESSIBLE ABSENTEE BALLOT SYSTEM. (a) A person eligible for early voting by mail under Section 82.002 or Section 101.001 as a person described by Section 101.001(2)(A) may cast a ballot using an accessible absentee mail system, notwithstanding any other provision of this title. (b) An accessible absentee mail system must be an electronic system, including software, used for the sole purpose of enabling any voter, including a voter who has a disability, to mark the voter ’s ballot and print and submit the ballot in the manner required by law for a ballot marked by the voter. (c) The secretary of state shall adopt rules and prescribe procedures for the implementation of this section. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023
In a nutshell, this is internet voting with the voter printing their ballots and mailing them in, as opposed to the current law that voters request a ballot to be mail to them, mark it and mail it back to the election’s office. This will open pandora’s box on our elections for anybody to print a ballot online and mail it in.
