Satan’s evil plan fulfills a portion of GOD‘s overall plan. The earth in chaos, struggles between governments, wars & economic disasters. Then;

Dan. 8:25 “...he shall cause craft to prosper…by peace shall destroy many…” Chicken in every pot, & world peace.
Satan comes in peacefully & prosperously. False teachers say, ‘he will cause murder & mayhem‘. Liars.
Rev. 16:15 “...I come as a thief…” Then Jesus returns and destroys Satan’s deception. Most won’t be expecting Him.
Rev. 11:15 “…seventh angel sounded…”...He shall reign for ever…” Satan comes at the sixth, before Christ returns. It’s easy to understand, a testament to how clearly GOD teaches using similitudes.
Rev. 12:7 “...war in heaven…against the dragon...” 12:9 “...and Satan…was cast into the earth...”
Understanding means we’re sealed with that knowledge.

Jesus asked us to witness for His impending reign for all time, and explained no harm will come to any who understand. Satan is the serpent, our power is greater than his, through Christ. Why leave?!
Luke 10:19 “...I give…you power to tread on serpents…nothing…shall hurt...”
We can’t step on a rattler and not expect to be bitten. GOD doesn’t suffer fools, He provides wisdom.

Rev. 10:7 “…in the days of the…seventh angel…the mystery of God should be finished...” The ‘mystery’ Ps. 78:2 “dark sayings of old” as explained by Jesus in Mat. 13:35-42 “secret from the foundation“.
10:8 “...from heaven…”Go…take the little book…”…of the angel...” GOD said read it.
10:9 “Give me the little book.” Requiring action on our part to understand the mystery.
10:10 “...it was in my mouth sweet…my belly was bitter.” Learning truth is sweet, providing peace of mind.
Understanding truth is bitter, revealing GOD‘s cup of wrath against the deceived. GOD foretold us.

I posted this true story yesterday on Menagerie’s Memorial Day thread. If I may, I’d like to also post it here for my Open Thread Treeper Friends. As I mention below, this story is true—as told to me by the former 20 year old soldier who experienced the event as I describe it. I don’t think it has ever been formally recorded, so I hope you won’t mind if I post it here. Can’t think of a better place than the Treehouse for it to reside.

Thanks, Menagerie. If I may, I’d like to add a true story from WWII. My sister-in-law’s life partner was older than us and a veteran of WWII combat, especially the famous Battle Of The Bulge. One evening after a good dinner we were finishing off some good Scotch. As the evening mellowed, Harry—who was a professional historian—told me a war story.

As the German attack developed, his division which was on the Schnee Eifel, a mountainous area on the German/Belgian border, was overrun by the attacking German corps. Two regiments surrendered, while his regiment was in full retreat.

Along with two other soldiers in a jeep, they spent 5 days doing their level best to not get captured by rapidly advancing German forces. Late one afternoon, about dusk, they came upon a clearing in the deep woods. It was snowing and visibility was not great.

Harry described carefully nudging the jeep out of the treeline when across the clearing he suddenly saw the unmistakable shape of a German tank. It was a MK IV which mounted a 75mm high velocity main gun along with several machine guns.

Although the jeep’s .50 cal machine gun was a formidable weapon, it was unarmored and stood no chance a real killing machine like a MK IV tank. Frozen in shock at the sudden appearance of the tank, Harry described watching the tank’s turret slowly turn toward them.

Although it was probably seconds, Harry said it seemed to take forever for the tank gunner to align the big gun onto their tiny undefended jeep. Then it fired—and missed. The high explosive round passed over their heads and exploded behind them in the woods.

Harry described the distance between the tank and jeep as being about the length of a football field—“point-blank” “can’t-miss” range for a tank gun. Still the tank round passed over their heads.

Instantly, Harry slammed into reverse and backed into the woods as fast as the little jeep would go until they were well out of sight of the tank.

So, what happened? So many years later, after a particularly good meal and mellowed by some equally good whisky, my friend ended his harrowing war story by concluding that the German tank gunner intentionally missed what should have been a to-easy killing shot.

Such historical anomalies are rare in wartime but history records that they do happen. I agree with Harry. I think that German tank gunner intentionally missed.

‘Fart spray’ prank at Texas high school leads to criminal charges for 2 students

Two students have been criminally charged after allegedly bringing “fart spray” to their Texas high school this month, a prank that led to evacuations, hospitalizations and canceled classes.

Diego Flores, 18, and a boy, 17, were both charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, a third-degree felony, after authorities said they “intentionally or knowingly” possessed “a chemical dispensing device,” according to court records. (The 17-year-old is not being identified because NBC News does not usually name minors charged with a crime.)

A strange odor at Caney Creek High School on May 3 and 4 prompted extensive testing of the campus’ mechanical, ventilation and sewer systems. Multiple fire departments responded to the school, including Caney Creek Fire & Rescue, and determined that its air quality was safe and there was no odor in the building when it wasn’t occupied by students, the school’s principal, Jeff Stichler, said in a statement May 5.

Some students had “strong negative physical reactions to the odor,” including headaches and nausea, and were taken to hospitals by ambulance, according to court documents.

Good morning all.
Mowing day today. I will switch out my large flag for a 3 x 5. I save the big one for patriotic holidays. I have a couple that need to be burned. No matter how high of quality a flag is, it will fade over time. We could use some rain here at my central Indiana home but there is none in the forecast for this week.

Some time this week I’ll get the lighting for the flag set up. Hopefully once done I won’t have to fool with it again. Still need to get a dusk to dawn sensor and I should have everything I need to get it done.

May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way.  – 2 Thessalonians 3:16

Paul’s prayer for the congregation at Thessalonica was one to give a sense of peace to a people who thought that judgment day, the Day of the Lord, had come – they were shaken and afraid, and confused. Paul wrote this letter to explain what had to take place before that day came.

He also rebuked the lazy Christians in the congregation who were refusing to work, and who took advantage of those who provided food for them, giving instructions to the others on how this situation should be handled to bring peace to the congregation. 

Paul’s final prayer in this letter is significant – a prayer to give them assurance of the grace of God and His constant presence to guard them and guide them through the persecutions they were experiencing. Jesus Christ was grace manifested, and the one who believes in His redemptive work here on earth can enjoy an inner calm that cannot be taken away by outward disruption or chaos. 

Paul emphasizes, “The Lord of peace himself give you peace.” The Source never changes, peace is a gift, so it is yours without question. It is not just for a short time, it is “peace at all times,” an unceasing flow. You can have peace “in every way,” meaning in the varied circumstances of life. What could be better than this deep-seated peace through the personal presence of the Lord within you?! 

Pray for peace within the congregation of believers. Then intercede for those in this nation who live in turmoil when they could have peace from the Lord and Prince of Peace Himself.

BE MY VOICE

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Supposing God tells you to do something which is an enormous test to your common sense, what are you going to do? Hang back? If you get into the habit of doing a thing in the physical domain, you will do it every time until you break the habit determinedly; and the same is true spiritually. Again and again you will get up to what Jesus Christ wants, and every time you will turn back when it comes to the point, until you abandon resolutely. “Yes, but – supposing I do obey God in the matter, what about…?” “Yes, I will obey God if He will let me use my common sense, but don’t ask me to take a step in the dark.” Jesus Christ demands of the man who trusts Him the same reckless sporting spirit that the natural man exhibits. If a man is going to do anything worth while, there are times when he has to risk everything on his leap, and in the spiritual domain Jesus Christ demands that you risk everything you hold by common sense and leap into what He says, and immediately you do, you find that what He says fits on as solidly as common sense. At the bar of common sense Jesus Christ’s statements may seem mad; but bring them to the bar of faith, and you begin to find with awestruck spirit that they are the words of God. Trust entirely in God, and when He brings you to the venture, see that you take it. We act like pagans in a crisis, only one out of a crowd is daring enough to bank his faith in the character of God.

I am sorry. I am HOT and I am saying GOODBYE.

On the Presidential thread yesterday, Sunnydaze, posted an image of child pornography. I spoke out against it and flagged it. The link posted is completely UNACCEPTABLE.

If you want to point out a public figure doing something nefarious… that is one thing… but when you post an image that is clearly the ASSAULT of children…that is quite another.

YET… TODAY THE IMAGE STILL REMAINS.

There is a well-known scripture in the Bible about when the disciples were sent out by Jesus two by two. They were instructed to take nothing, no food, no extra tunic as a change of clothes. They were to rely on the hospitality of the towns they were visiting. However, if they were unwelcome, they were to shake the dirt from their sandals and move on.

The part of that scripture that many don’t realize or discuss, is if they found someone honorable in the village, to stay with them overnight in their home. They laid their blessings on the house. Like a physical gesture. However, if that host or hostess was unkind to them, they could “remove their blessing”.

That is what I am doing today. A “family” is no family when there is a pervy Uncle preying on children and that includes anyone who would pass around pervy pictures of what the pervert is doing!

THIS IS NOT OKAY… NOT ONCE… NOT EVER.

Therefore, I am removing my blessing. I trusted Sundance and his team and the allowance of this filth to stay on this site is my red line. No more. I will not post. I will not read his materials and I will not send funding until the image is removed, and a public message from Sundance is sent that these types of imagery is NOT ACCEPTABLE HERE. My funding may have been small, but those are God dollars and dollars that are prayed upon – even $1 can do great things.

THIS IS NOT OKAY and all should be highly concerned that if you were on your devices and that you clicked on the image – what sort of metadata recording is on your device that you viewed it. On an android cell phone, an older model like mine… it was just a link with no imagery and I clicked on it. On my desktop this morning where I am typing this, the image pops up and is viewable without touching a thing.
