On a side note this Memorial Day weekend, yesterday in New Ulm we stopped at one of the four liquor stores I don’t always go to and asked a friend’s son working there, “So, have people been boycotting Bud Light?”
His face lit up with a big smile, “Oh yeah… it’s way down. Actually, all Bud products have seen a decrease.”
Then he said something interesting, “We have lots of people from out of town who stop and buy like 10 cases at a time and they all switched over. Many of them are now buying Schell’s (2nd oldest family-owned brewery after Yuengling).”
Even weeks later this boycott has held firm.
These boycotts are the least we can do for our fallen military. I for one did not serve to protect mentally ill people going after our children.
“The Wrath of the Awakened Saxon” is nothing compared to the wrath of the awakened American male beer drinkers.
The “purchase power of patriotic Americans” is the key to destroying the evil kingdom, home to the “democrat and GOPe and their fellow travelers.”

Athens is the seat of McMinn County, which, at the time, was the nerve center for Sheriff Paul Cantrell, a major lieutenant of a corrupt Democratic machine which stretched from Tennessee to the District of Columbia. Though we will eschew labeling Cantrell or his machine politics “evil,” as this was simply the way things were done in many American polities, it is worth noting that before and especially during the Second World War, Cantrell presided over corruption and graft on an industrial scale. As Chris DeRose details, the Sheriff drew salaries of nearly sixty thousand dollars per year over his first six years that were worth well over one million dollars in today’s purchasing power. He was also appointed superintendent of the county workhouse for an additional salary of over two thousand dollars; DeRose notes that “McMinn County did not have a workhouse, making its superintending easy.” This at a time when the median Tennessee home was worth less than two thousand dollars and the starting salary for enlisted men was fifty dollars per month. Despite strict rationing, McMinn machine men never wanted for cars, tires, or fuel. Illegal casinos, speakeasies, and whorehouses payed thousands of dollars per month in protection money. Dozens of county employees were listed on the payrolls for the sole purpose of providing cover for a vast money laundering operation.

Am i missing something? Its my understanding thst what gives the FED, and CONgress the ability to sprnd without limit, isn’t the debt cieling, its U.S. Treasuries being recognised the World over as the RESERVE currency, and the baseline for establishing risk, and therefore “interest”, with U.S. Treasuries deemed as lowest risk.
Originally, this ‘made sense’ because of those things which made America EXCEPTIONAL; Constitution, rule of law, large vibrant middle class, upward mobility, American dream, etc.
And, now that the World sees all of these things being systematically destroyed, they are moving away from U.S. Treasuries and to GOLD-BACKED currencies, which WILL, effectively “cut off” Congress and the feds “line of credit” and IF I understand correctly, NONE of this “debt limit raise” charade, or anything Yellen says, will make any difference,…RIGHT?
The ‘good news’ is Congress will have their allowance docked, the bad news is its going to mean severe cutbacks, and force some truly “difficult choices” something long overdue. Am I wrong?

The 1st article is full of suppositions, allegations, and very little factual information to support your claim of Grenell being a “neocon”. Some of what the defense attorney proffered may or may not be true.
The 2nd article is mostly about AG Barr with a brief mention that Grenell, as the new DNI, also asked a judge to block information about Saudi involvement as the DNI also thought it should be kept sealed due to National Security. While I don’t like this blocking for “National Security” reasons because I believe it to be used mainly for cover-up of government malfeasance , I don’t know the full story.
Grenell may be more or may be less of the sum of his actions, but in my opinion most of his actions show him to be a good man.
Just my 2 cents.

He went onto 1 Kings 18:20-40: Elijah and the contest with the 450 priest of Ba’al and like those false prophets perhaps we are getting to God wins: “Seize the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape.” And they seized them. And Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon and slaughtered them there.”

As long as the words are there, the patriotic emotion is there then it’s fine. Traditional singing of our national anthem is always appreciated but even some of those are quite awful depending on the singer. I was fine with this one.

Old Navy To Shutter Downtown San Francisco Store Amid Retail Exodus

Add the Old Navy store in downtown San Francisco to the ever-expanding list of retail stores closing up shop this year. So far, Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, Saks Off 5th, Anthropologie, Coco Republic, Whole Foods, T-Mobile, and a slew of other retail shops have shuttered operations in the crime-ridden progressive-run city because officials are failing to enforce law and order, which has led to a massive surge in thefts.
According to NBC Bay Area, Old Navy’s parent company Gap Inc. wrote in a statement that its store, located at 801 Market Street, will close its doors on July 1. The company is attempting to find a new location in the downtown district that “will better serve the needs of the business and our customers.”
In other words, the company is relocating from the Market Street location because of out-of-control crime. The other retailers we noted above have specifically mentioned crime as the leading driver in shuttering downtown operations.
