Morning JWoo, got about 5 hours in. Need to increase my physical activity . The problem with chillaxing is that the sleep don’t come easy. Especially when the only position sleeping is on your back.
Mornin’ ‘Woo. 🙂 For as long as I can remember, I’ve always tended to do my best writin’ and thinkin’ work between the hours of 10PM and 2AM. Since I’m ADD I really appreciate the solitude feelings when most things (and people) are shut down.
I can get by pretty easy on 6-8hrs but the *##@!!! bed-bug invasion made it hard to get a decent night’s sleep. Only had one bed-bug around 6AM this morning so it looks like I’m making some progress. This one was mature so I’m hoping I’m interrupting the cycle. Talk about boring, sleep deprived, work!

Lightworkerspirit, I feel blessed to be able to provide something that you needed. Like you, I have always been drawn to their majesty and beauty. They are like the best dog you could ever imagine – loving, loyal – just humongous in size.
When I was a little kid, 11, I got my one and only horse, Joey. He started life as a wild horse roaming free on thousands of acres. They guy who owned them lost his lease on the land and they were rounded up and sold at auction.
Joey was only 18 months old when I got him, too young to ride, so I had 6 months to work with him and gain his trust. Those were truly the best days of my life. I look forward to seeing him again after this life in the flesh is done.
I love your story Patty I have not had the pleasure of being around these beautiful beings.

“Our 14-year-old dog Abbey died last month. The day after she passed away my 4-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if she could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could do so, and she dictated these words:
Dear God,
Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy you let me as my dog even though she was sick.
I hope you will play with her. She likes to swim and play with balls. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take a lot of stamps to get the letter all the way to Heaven.
Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed to ‘To Meredith’ in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr Rogers called ‘When A Pet Dies.’ Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page were the picture of Abbey and Meredith and this note:
Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in Heaven. Having the picture was a big help and I recognized her right away.
Abbey isn’t sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I don’t have any pockets to keep your picture in so I am sending it back to you for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.
Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember I love you very much. By the way, I’m easy to find. I am wherever there is love.

It is so sad. I was very fortunate to experience it about 25 years ago, and even then there were absurdities we witnessed that caused me to lament for the city. Hotel with sheets uncleaned and it being really obvious. Happening upon a nudist beach. Someone pounding on our door at 3 AM scaring the living daylights out of us. We did not answer, of course!

A significant portion of books written today promise a path to inner peace. Whether the claims for obtaining peace are founded in self-discovery or improved cosmic alignments, inner peace appears to be the holy grail of human existence. For many, it is an elusive quest with disappointments and broken promises along the way.
However, for the child of God, the disciple of Christ, inner peace is a gift.
When the Spirit of God comes to live in a human heart, He fills it with Himself. And He is amazing! The more one allows Him to fill mind, body, and soul, the more peace and wonders of God Himself will be found in that person. The key is to recognize the necessity to put “self” and things of the world aside, focusing on the kingdom of God first, and letting God’s Spirit have more and more room in your life.
Jesus says, “My peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you” (John 14:27). He is talking about Himself there, inviting you into His presence to find the serenity you have been seeking.
You can take a different path than the world in the quest for inner peace. If you have trusted Christ as your Savior, you are already on it. Open your Bible, shift from self-focus to learning about Him, and invite Him to fill you with His Spirit. He will wrap you in the peace that passes all worldly understanding. Pray for public servants in America to be surrounded by people pointing them toward peace and spiritual knowledge in Jesus Christ.

I don’t know how I got into this two years ago, with really strange Divine appointments to cause us to see a really wicked underbelly of conservative politics in Central Indiana… but I can’t help to think that the party that brought us some of the most corrupt politicians in the land… is busy at it again.
What are they up to now?

Cool here at my central Indiana home. Only 50 deg. F with a forecast high of 69 deg. today. But it is mostly sunny. Windy also.
This morning Steve and I will be going to watch qualifications for the Little 500. A sprint car race held at the Anderson Speed way on a 1/4 mile high banked asphalt oval track. The race is run the night before the Indianapolis 500. They put 33 sprint cars on that “bull ring” that start in rows of three just like at Indy. When they start there is less than a straightaway distance between the first row and the last. It is called a 500 because the race runs 500 laps and thus the cars must fuel and get new tires during the race, which is unusual for a sprint car race.
Qualification today may be a bit more interesting today than usual because the track will be relatively cool and the drivers will be starting their qualification run on cold tires.
Pretty soon I will start getting things lined up to get bids on some remodeling and add an addition to the house.
The tasks never end, but it is nice to be in a financial position to get the stuff done that we have been wanted done for several years now.
Last night my sister, who is going to buy my half of Mom & Dads house from me, gave me a box of stuff from their house. Included was a cigar box containing the letters I wrote home to Mom & Dad while in SF and was on missions in places like Beirut, Lebanon and Monrovia, Liberia. Perhaps on some rainy day I may transcribe a bit of those letters and share them here.
Then this afternoon after qualifications Steve and I will finally get around to fixing my flag pole so I can have my flags flying for Memorial Day weekend. The bucket truck is already parked in position and I will go up and get it done.

We lost a true American hero and a wonderful person a few days ago. Brian Shul passed away on May 20. So, we’ve been feeding a possum for several years …
We put table scraps in the pan at edge of woods.
We actually see him eating, and every morning the plate is clean.
Few nights ago before bed, looked outside and Mrs Possum was there with pouch full of babies!
But there was no food. I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
This morning I scrambled some expired eggs in fridge for tonite.
I might be off my rocker?

I do the same. I put out dry cat food every night (a big old bowl of it), and every morning it is gone. Occasionally a possum will find a secure place in our garage which I leave opened little bit…when its cold or rains.

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Well we enjoyed watching the qualifications for the Little 500. Fast field this year. New single lap track record already set. The top five or six qualifiers all had a lap time of less than 11 seconds on that quarter mile track. The race on Saturday night will be the 75th running of the race.
Today is a very powerful day spiritually, on this day Israel received the Word on Mt Sinai from the Creator though the hands of Moses. Remember they had just sinned in the most un-Godly way (pretty much as we do today), yet after much pleading, praying, begging, more praying and even some foot stamping on the part of Moses, the Creator in His mercy granted redemption and thus began our journey. This revelation of God was experienced by the entire Israelite community. The Word they received is Eternal, and has been passed through the generations to us. Through it, we learn the will of God and learn how to connect to Him, and in turn we pass it as an Eternal heritage. This is how they stood that fateful day.
