Going by the flawed pseudo-science of polling, and common sense, if one whole segment of the population, with a shared “world view” is excluded from polling, whether by self-exclusion or by the pollsters, obviously that segments responces aren’t going to be represented, and the poll results will be scewed.
There are two kinds of polls, the ones that are publically released, and the ‘internal’ polls the campaign conduct.
The first may well be “push polls” structured in an attempt to sway public opinion.
However, the internals are structured the opposite; campaigns really WANT an accurate accessment of “where they stand”, as the campaign proceeds.
One of the factors in the 2016 win, was even in internals, Trump supporters were lieing to pollsters, the “Trump effect” which caused Hillary to set the algorythm too low, and when it became obvious, she didn’t have truckloads of paper ballots to backfill with.
After 2016, MAGA voters went the next step, and stopped participating in polling altogether.
And no, its not an “absolute”, so their MAY be SOME MAGA voters that participate.
However, if they just have a lower participation rate than other voters, the results are scewed, and as they have no way of knowing what the LACK of participation rate IS, they can not factor it into their results.
Its NOT a science, and the first time polling was used in a Presidential election, we got the famous photo of Truman, holding up a paper with the headline “Dewey wins!”
That SHOULD have had the effect on polling, that the Hindenburg had on Airships; NEVER AGAIN.
Truth is, polls have regularly “got it wrong” ever since (think 2016) and they continue to be used because “we have nothing better” like if there were no airplanes, so no alternative after the Hindenburg.
The media relies on them, in order to have something to report; without them campaign reporting would be quite dull.
Watch any video of a horserace; watch it once with the volume on, and once off. Without the announcer, its BORING, its just horses running in s circle. Same thing.
The only poll that matters is the election.
100%. I know my husband would never do a poll and I know many like him who, even if they were predisposed to do so, simply do not have time. Our business is solely dependent on my husband’s phone, he doesn’t tie it up unnecessarily. Now I will do a poll but I think I am not typical of MAGA. I would do it just to see what questions they ask and how they ask them for my own information (and amausement).

I only get calls for RNC contributions. I give them HELL! (Once I get past the robot). I tell them I will not give them a dime because they have not supported President Trump, or MAG candidates, and any monies I contribute go direct to President Trump. Period.

I don’t even answer RNC calls any more. All they want to do is read their script. It does not matter how much explanation you give. It does not matter what objections you raise they just stick to the script. One the off chance I pick up one of their calls I just as quickly tell them I can’t talk right now and hang up.
I remember happily lying when polled in 2016, and by 2020 simply ignored all requests to take part in a poll.

I can’t bear to watch Fox any longer, though I was wondering how Hannity was handling the Durham report. Long ago, I had him on after Tucker because I had fallen asleep. When I woke, he was all fired up about Durham and the report he was going to issue. Until then, Durham was supposedly going to prosecute people, so I found it very interesting he mentioned a report. After all, prosecutors don’t issue reports, they either file charges or decline to. The uniparty clearly wanted to condition the base to prepare for a scathing report instead of prosecutions, and Hannity was happy to play along. Thereafter, he always referred to Durham issuing a report instead of prosecutions, at least when I saw his show. Almost everything we see is propaganda or paid for by someone.

I think it’s more like the Bolshevik revolution. Most people just go along with whatever the government wants them to do and believe whatever propaganda is being spewed. People aren’t going to wake up; historically, that doesn’t happen-they go along instead. The only way to make changes is to win elections, and to do that we have to get ballots from younger voters. I don’t see any circumstances under which Gen Z and suburban women will wake up.

Not having invented thermometers until 1700, all backward temperature projections have to be based on reliable proxies. And all of those are place limited. There is significant difficulty in averaging different proxies. Add to that the difficulty in ‘averaging’ a world temperature, there is legitimate question about the universality of such a temperature graph. (They still haven’t figured out how to average the world’s temperature. Does it even make sense to average Death Valley temps with those at the peak of Denali?)
But the frauds decided to take a proxy that was known not to be reliable for temperature. Declare that they were the experts and that it is the best. Invented phony statistic techniques that allowed them to rely on just a few of them. And used that to flatten that curve. Declaring it had never been warmer and that there was no climbing out of an ice age.
They then hid the fact that their ‘best’ proxy couldn’t match modern temperatures. The proxy showed the temperatures declining after 1960. So they dishonestly hid that decline, just showing a supposed match from 1850 to 1950.
That is what they referred to when they emailed each other about using Mann’s trick and about hiding the decline.
Their proxy, the bristle pine, can give dateable results back 2000 years. (Tree rings). But it grows in arid mountains and its tree ring growth is very sensitive to extra moisture. Not a reliable temperature proxy as declared by the temperature proxy experts.
Statistical experts have also strongly suggested that they involve statisticians in future work.
But none of that matters to them. They claim they are right and abuse everyone who dares to say differently.
Not to mention that Arctic explorers didn’t even reach the Arctic and Antarctic until 1900-1916 or later. Those who were successful were more interested in getting back alive than taking temperature readings.
When it comes to measuring the earths temp, they just need a really big anal thermometer, and stick it in D.C.

Detailed remnants of human DNA can be found just about everywhere that people have been, a surprising finding that raises a host of ethical issues for researchers, a new study says.
Environmental samples of human DNA were found nearly everywhere, save for isolated islands and remote mountaintops where people have never visited, researchers said. While sequencing this DNA offers researchers consistent data, it also presents an ethical dilemma because it reveals so much personal genetic information.
“We’ve been consistently surprised throughout this project at how much human DNA we find and the quality of that DNA,” David Duffy, a professor of wildlife disease genomics at the University of Florida in Gainesville, said in a school news release. “In most cases the quality is almost equivalent to if you took a sample from a person.”
The DNA samples were of such high quality that scientists could identify mutations associated with disease and determine the genetic ancestry of nearby populations, researchers reported.

For example, scientists could track cancer mutations from wastewater samples or locate undiscovered archaeological sites by checking for hidden human DNA. Detectives could identify suspects from the DNA floating in the air of a crime scene.
But because humans can’t help but leave DNA samples in their wake, scientists and regulators will need to grapple with the ethical dilemmas inherent in the widespread availability of precious human genetic information.
Ethical standards and guardrails are needed to govern this kind of research, since it has the ability to potentially identify individuals down to a genetic level.
“It’s standard in science to make these sequences publicly available. But that also means if you don’t screen out human information, anyone can come along and harvest this information,” Duffy said. “That raises issues around consent. Do you need to get consent to take those samples? Or institute some controls to remove human information?”
Policymakers and scientific communities need to seriously weigh issues around consent and privacy, and balance them against the possible benefits of studying this errant DNA, Duffy said.
“Any time we make a technological advance, there are beneficial things that the technology can be used for and concerning things that the technology can be used for. It’s no different here,” he said. “These are issues we are trying to raise early so policy makers and society have time to develop regulations.”

I will be unpleasantly surprised if we do not see a divorce between MAGA and the RNC at some point in this 2024 election cycle, but I think the impetus HAS to come from THEM, either refusing PDJT the nomination, or refusing him his chosen VP, both of which they have the authority to do, WANT to do, need to do (from THEIR point of view, certainly) but are loathe to be SEEN to do.

The house of We the People
Our nation is like a great house that was built over 250 years ago. This house was built on the strongest designed foundations ever conceived, The Constitution of United States of America. This foundation was so well made that other new nations who later would build their own new homes would copy this design.
At first this house of the Americans would have only 13 rooms but as the years and decades came and went the owners of this house would add on until eventually it was a mansion with 50 grand rooms. Like any home there is always something that needs to be fixed,repaired or brought up to date and the owners of this house would use the materials and methods known to them at that time to conduct such necessities.
Unfortunately sometimes these repairs or upgrades where not always done in the best way…shortcuts, substandard materials or graft where common practices. Not because the owners didn’t love their great home but the owners, being human, are susceptible to greed and laziness.
Eventually like with any old house the owners reach a conundrum, they wish to improve their home even more but they are unable to build any further because the old materials and methods used will not support the new construction.
In order for the owners to achieve their dream of building a better home for themselves the decision to tear the great house down to its foundation and rebuild anew with modern materials and means in order to ensure a home for them that is stronger and designed to last for future generations is made.
This is well within the rights of We the People, the blood was shed over 250 years ago.

The people who expanded us into an empire did it for greed and self enrichment. They betrayed “We the People” and continue to do so. None of what they did was for the majority of Americans. The founders were vehemently against expansion and empire. Maybe they should’ve listened? Once in the cycle it has to run through.
