The problem with Ted Cruz 2.0 is that it’s still based off version 1.0. And there is no guaranty he won’t fall back into… well let’s look at the 2016 RNC Convention floor… when instead of supporting Donald John Trump, he did this…

Some countries have no-confidence votes against their current government, perhaps we should have a ‘no-confidence vote’ against ours sense the sitting government seems to be violating every enumerated duty spelled out in the constitution? Any thoughts?
Keep in mind that the sovereign entities in this country are each state, individually, and (I believe) each American citizen. My understanding is that the federal government is not sovereign by itself but is given its ability to govern by the states and by American citizens.
Given the system we HAVE, rather than the system we WANT, the system we THOUGHT we had, or the system we were TAUGHT that we had, back when Civics and U.S. Government was actually taught, there is a way to do exactly that; to give a vote of “No Confidence” to our Government.

Stealing in the primary, is different in some ways than stealing in the General, and no, they do NOT have stealing elections “down pat” not by any means.
Stealing R party primaries starts with the RNC and State party hierarchy, maintaining the illusion that, as it says in the by-laws “The party remains neutral, until there is a nominee, which is horese pucky of coarse.
THEY conduct the primaries, they have their finger on the scale throughout the process, and will exert considerable effort into controlling the outcome.
However, in part because the R party has always tried to maitain this fraud of impartiality (so that, after their preferred candidate wins, they can sing kubiyah and join together, heal the rift and lets all work together to beat the Dem candidate cause they are worse) the R party has never done anything so overt as to openly dispel this myth of impartiality.
It is because that forced SOME restraint on them, that B. Goldwater, R. Reagan and D. Trump WERE able to successfully gain the nomination, despite the best efforts of the RNC and State party leadership.
Not so the D party, which was always more blatant, and in 2008 “jumped the shark” with the Superdelegates, making it clearcto all that primaries/caucuses are no more binding than an opinion poll.
The way Goldwater, Reagan and Trump overcame the party, is twofold.
Firstly, its about DELEGATES to the National Convention who are ostensibly chosen by the State party, to represent the base at the convention.
This is why every candidate expends efforts on wooing and courting the party activists most likely to be or influence the States delegates.
Right now and for some time both PDJT and RDS campaigns have been actively involved in this, behind the scenes.
IF the RDS campaigns efforts at securing delegates is as heavy-handed as it has been at securing endorsements, PDJT SHOULD havr this well in hand, and he has actually been working on it, all along.You know how PDJT is “backstage” meeting “with people” before each rally? THIS is part of what he is doing, ans sometimed offering people rides on Trump one, an opportunity to “schmooze” etc is all part of the courtship.
The second thing, interrelated is this; traditionally only 25 percent of registered Republicans vote in primaries or caucuses.
USUALLY its only the “most partisan, most ACTIVE” R voters that “bother”.
However, with Goldwater, Reagan and Trump, they raised those #’s up, considerably and as we now understand, ONE aspect of “beating the cheat” IS to “Swamp the vote”; the greater our actual “margin of victory” the harder it is for them to cheat.
And, that gets back to my earlier post, that ballot stuffing is only ONE aspect of cheating, and often not the decisive one; VOTER SUPPRESSION is a vital part of manipulating elections, BECAUSE every vote they block, is one less phantom vote they need.
Ballot stuffing “gets all of the press” but voter suppression is the big guy, staying in the shadows.
WE need to GOTV in the primaries, by identifying OUR voters, motivating them to vote, both in the primary and the General, AND schooling them to change HOW they vote in order to avoid some of the ways our enemies suppress our ballots.
And, promulgating the false narrative that “they have stealing perfected” while a genuine sentiment amongst many of our voters, is a big vote suppression tactic they are pounding us with, relentlessly, but one we CAN turn the tables on them with, and actually use as a tool to identify OUR voters. Need eye catching vehicles traveling every street ,county road, highway messaging the dire consequences of not voting and a strong plea to please go vote. Do this all voting day plus door to door. Guilt people if we have to. Bill boards on interstates and highways . People placed at key gathering places urging voting importance. We can not stay home on vote day.

I agree with what I suspect is your theory that it’s always good to use the other side’s concerns against them. But I remain leery of this one, because the ultimate position is going to be “let them stay primitive and impoverished”, as well as maybe stepping into the quagmire of implicit concern about nonexistent climate issues.
If we’re going to end up having to come off as uncaring about other people, why not just go with: we’re full, in fact overcrowded, we’re already overtaxed, we don’t need more people here, and we don’t have any obligation to accept large numbers of new people who let their own countries go to hell, don’t necessarily share our core values, and don’t actually bring anything of benefit to the current population overall.
