I wish SUNDANCE would inform us a couple of days before a rally is scheduled. Many of us could reschedule our evening. When there’s a Trump rally, I insist on being alone because I don’t want anyone interfering with my happiness. Just saying.
Maybe one will drop a house on another venue of ……? I was going to go but a 4 hour drive and long wait in line, deterred me.

There are hundreds of comments. And I always look at the top comments and even go to page 1 and scroll down.
Suggestion: Post it as the first comment on the first page.

Question-How do you (chooseamerica) “look up” a particular post about a particular subject in the Daily Presidential Thread, when there are maybe 700 to 800 comments spread across 6 pages?
I ask because the Search block at the upper right doesn’t find the search terms in comments; it only finds articles.
GB, I don’t know if this is what you are asking, but if you are on a Windows computer, you can hit the F3 key at the top of your keyboard and a search window will open (different places for different web browsers) so that you can search for key words that you might be looking for. If this isn’t what you needed, it may help someone else. 😉
P.S. It will only search on the page you are currently on. So if there are 5 pages of comments, you will need to check each page for the keyword.

I was wondering / hoping if anyone has found a more powerful / less tedious method that searched though all pages of comments under any particular article. Seeing the replies to my question I conclude that no one has yet found one. No problem.

CTRL + F on a PC will pop up a search box you can use to search the page text in your browser.
The WordPress search function only searches the database.

specifically…the way that web pages are stored, there is no shortcut key or special function command to search ALL pages of a particular article/thread. This is not unusual. The vast majority of webpages for comments which is live, and can grow very large in size are best handled with paging controls. Otherwise, comments would be published as one single large massive live file and you would have to refresh that page often to on the front end (your browser). So it’s a tradeoff. Convenience to all users with pages that do not require a refresh to see live comments ON THAT PAGE….the downside yes, is that it is not treated as a single html file…thus page numbers.
imagine if you your publish a book and it was one very long sheet of paper …you would call it a scroll…which was a thing before humanity decided to make things a little more portable.
I use ctrl-f on a chromebook…same as windows…same as apple. One page at a time. I am usually doing it to find a commenter or a specific reference someone made ..if I can remember the key word..or handle/moniker.

On Firefox. On Menu Bar hit ‘Edit”/ “Find in Page”. Search box show up with boxes to the right of it to Highlight all, Match Case, Match Diacritics/Whole Words and a total of matches found e.g 9 of 10 matches for each page
You are talking about the “Search Bar” on the TreeHouse website. That bar only shows the words on the articles.
This is how I find words in the comments:
On iPhone you click on the arrow at the bottom of the page
and this page appears:
You type the word you’re looking for.
On Android, there are three dots on the top of the page and the “search on page” is there.

it’s not possible from our “front end”…you would need access to the backend where the comments could be made into one single long file.
this isn’t unusual. It’s the reality of dealing with separately names and published html files…or pages in this instance.
Look it up on trumpeventschedule.com. It shows there as soon as a rally is announced and is where people get their tickets to attend.

You could try using duckduckgo.com or startpage.com (or originally, Google) for a query with syntax like this:
site:theconservativetreehouse.com bari
(where bari is the keyword that you replace with whatever you want)
This method is not 100%, but it is better than nothing for searching within the comments on the CTH site.
Chooseamerica most likely meant to use “google” or other. Not “look up” a post on this site.

I have lived through two tornadoes, one in Western Mass as a child and another in Central Ohio in college.
Whether a watch or warning, there is no messing around with an open venue with thousands of people.

Tornadoes are quite likely in this area with these weather conditions. They pop up quickly and with an outside venue? Lots of risk. I live in the surrounding area. Very active weather last few days.

That system was much earlier today, and it traveled east towards Knoxville (cancelled sprint car races) and Pella (Central college graduation ceremonies took refuge in the locker rooms). 6:09 pm tonight my small town’s tornado siren sounded off again, with the storm system traveling only 5 miles an hour. There are tornado warnings and watches in many areas of Iowa tonight. Some are ‘extreme warnings’ as another tornado was sighted just a couple of miles from me. I don’t see any current lightning, but the sky continues to rumble. Some areas are measuring 3 inches of rain in 1 hour. Not a night for our President to be in the air or on a stage.
