I cut my working teeth at age 16 at an Isaly’s store. They sold Italian and French bread that we would slice for the customers. I never saw them (slicers) after I left that store. Then again, my days at a bakery have been awfully limited. I always wondered why a company would use that name! I still have the bread knife my mom used 60 years ago. Has a nice walnut handle! I bought a used bread/dough maker 15 years ago or so, maybe break that out and smell up my house again, oh the memories of that smell! Speaking of mom, have a nice Mother’s day this weekend!

The Whole Foods in Houston where I used to shop had a bread slicer. They would bake challahs on Fridays and offer to slice it for you.
We’d buy our loaves in Wales unsliced from one of the two bakers in our town.
First, it stayed fresher longer. Next we could slice to the thickness we wanted depending. Thin for sandwiches or thicker for toast. A small or large “tin” is what those loaves were called.

Re: Trump’s Townhall. I didn’t watch the whole thing but what I did see was Trump in his element. What he does (and does so well) is his performance art.
He walked out and just basically took over CNN’s show. What then followed was an epic demonstration of just how DJT’s on-stage performance can totally command the news cycle.
Suddenly it was 2016 all over again. Trump’s gloves were off and even the hard-left progressives were forced to pay attention. Did you notice, for instance, how the usual anti-Trump propaganda just wasn’t working? Trump is so very good at this stuff, his presence so commanding, that he simply throws shade on each of his competitors. Next to him they just now look so diminished.
And of them all, the most diminished, is Joe Biden. Trump didn’t even have to mention him, yet everyone on the progressive/hard-left had to stop breathing when they saw how casually Trump demolished not just CNN but the entire “Progressive Experiment” (to quote Victor Davis Hanson). Suddenly, thanks to Trump, politics is becoming fun again. When Trump left that stage what was left behind was a pile of wreckage.

Now… I’m such a MAGA Trumpster… my prayers are for THOUSANDS of Trumps to STAND UP and say:

Make no bones about it… the man can fight with demons… and humble himself in service… even to those unworthy of his representation. I’m not making him a deity… but He is the Lord’s Man. I know you like the “Leonore” Overture. This is the third one performed by that East-West, Israel-Arab youth orchestra Mr Barenboim and Edward Said formed.
Well, I now have a new favorite Leonore #3 performance. This was just exquisite — in addition to being demonstrably, and very importantly . . . civil.
Haven’t seen Barenboim direct in quite awhile and, man, he has lost nothing despite his advancing years! IMHO it takes a high level of musicianship to “get” Beethoven “right”. Otherwise the performances feel flat and seem more like practicing. This one is definitely right. And, yes, I noticed how young most of the musicians were. Good on ’em!!
As I watched this, I was thinking of Trump’s Townhall comment when he said he could settle the Russia/Ukrainian war in “24 hours”. I believed him. His hard work in the Middle East was quickly abandoned by Biden and company. And now look at what’s happened.

Noble, OK was hit; there was some property damage and first responders rushed to the area. Not sure about injuries or fatalities there yet. I saw some lightning here and my area was under a tornado warning for a couple of hours. Should be expired by now. So I’ll be up for a few more minutes, then I’m calling it a night.
One tornado was enough for me; I thought I was going to hear the sirens again. And duck into the bathtub. This time I had a bicycle helmet close by just in case.

When Chris had his abdominal aneurysm repaired, they went in through both femoral arteries. He was expecting the worst because a colleague he worked with had essentially the same done and was in discomfort after…whereas Chris had none much to his shock.
I’d hoped, prayed for, the same for you. Please don’t make the effort to answer. Rest up. Prayers are incoming that your nurses and doctors are compassionate and attentive and that you’ll be home quicker than at the moment you might believe.

Oh it will be a huge relief! One tube post gall bladder surgery for Chris was, shall we say, bothersome. I can only imagine how uncomfortable you are.
Regarding that, Frank did say in his post telling us he had been with you and Elizabeth pre surgery that your recovery would be a doozy. So half expected there was waaaaay more than I first thought. You can educate us later.
And yes…you won’t believe how monumentally better you feel once they disconnect you feel on all the plumbing. It will all be uphill after that😘😘😘

Nothing over 10 lbs for a while. Today did 50 feet walking before the chest tubes got pulled out. Will do it slow and steady 😊. Probably could have doubled the distance after the hoses got removed.
Eeks… plumbing. Reminds me of my kidney stone surgery and they inserted a stint that had to stay in a week. I went in to have it removed and the awesome Uroligist said “You’re gonna feel some pressure”
Pressure, my butt!!! That is a nether region where that kind of pressure is unwelcome! Lucky I didn’t kick him in the teeth.

A couple years ago while having 5 am java on the veranda, a sister said she realized -there and then- that I didn’t talk very much as a kid…. and she often wondered what I was thinking; as there were lots of fascial expressions, giggles, movements and dancing.
I reminded her that Ma used to ask what I was thinking often, cuz she knew it was something like,
“That lamp shade is too plain. It could use some fringe or painted patterns”.

Uninterrupted sleep is a luxury for me these days. Remembering when I was youngster being unable to wait until I was old enough to stay up as long as I wanted…even all night!!!! Pulling a few all nighters at UT disabused me very quickly about that little fantasy.

Luxury for me too. Usually get 5 1/2 to 6 hrs then get up for awhile and then sometimes get another couple hrs and sometimes not.
There’s no rhyme or reason for me. Sometimes sleep for a couple of hours, then I’m wide awake. Get up, fix a cup of tea and check in here to see all the early postings. It works most nights it happens. But always up about 6 am. Another hour to get the brain cells lined up and functioning and I’m ready to go.
Then are just some days of doesn’t happen….and those are the days when inspiration has left me high and dry and I take a 24 hour break.

Good morning, JWoo. More T-storms coming this afternoon according to the Weather Channel. Low tornado risk. There was some structural damage in Noble, and I heard that Bethel Acres was also hit (unconfirmed). Bethel Acres is about 9 miles away from where I live.
I’m not going to stress over it. Try not to anyways. As I’ve mentioned before, I like the thunderstorms and continual rain makes me sleepy.
I’ll watch Livestream tonite for storm updates. Reed Timmer and a couple of other chasers really get close to the action during weather events.
Sat with my spouse for a while yesterday afternoon; she was sleepy. When I left, I put the fall pad in front of her chair as she has a tendency to lean forward sometimes.
Ahhhh. That first cup of coffee….hits the spot.
Joe… my father used to teach me how to watch storm clouds for signs of trouble.
I love storms. I love the smell of electricity and earth worms in the air.
Always looked at it as the Lord washing the earth with rain water, and showing off His Skills with lightening bolts and the finger of God twisting a tornado.
Strangely, I was never scared. Still am not. I want to be in a hurricane… you know behind really thick glass… to just watch it from a safe vantage point. (I’m sure there’s YouTube videos for this… as there is for everything!)
I find God’s weather fascinating and maybe it inclined me to have such great interest when I was in electric power generation and our teams ran toward storms to supply power to fit the need. Never have I worked in a job that I loved so much and felt my work… mattered.
I’m so glad you’re okay. I was praying for you, as I often do for all are Treeper friends.. regardless my ability to post or not.
I still have my USA map in my office and I can see you guys every day… those whom I’ve been able to post there.

I took today off work. Thought it would be my ONE day before kiddo lets out of school to have a “me” day… only to have to stand by for an electrician who no-showed.

Too much going on here to share. So much I’ve wanted to say and just paused and couldn’t.
I posted at length on the prayer thread, and each of those issues have moved mightily… not necessarily all in a good direction. Heart CT scan next Friday because apparently I feel like I need to join you tree monkies in ticker issues??? Had a strange long covid flare up one week prior to blood work, so wondering if not just my appliances were zapped. 2nd blood work redo.. came back same… lots of red ink.
Let me emphasize… there is no need for concern and I’m NOT AT ALL worried. I will not be pressured into statins and I will look at holistic measures to address the 6 or 7 data points that are now out of whack since last normal results from monitoring in November 2022. Great to have and keep baselines.
As for all else… my anger, frustration, is all going in the God Box. He needs to FIX things and He Will in His Due Timing.
Kiddo is excellent and counting down to 9 more days of school. Can’t get her out of there soon enough and she’s looking forward to a grand summer. With exception of impacted wisdom teeth extraction. Mass exodus of Christian staff at her public school. The mice are fleeing the ship.
As my father would heavily sigh “It’s always something.” I’m so glad he’s in Heaven and he doesn’t have to witness this something.
BUT GOD. God determined that we were all worthy to witness this monumental time. What have we to fear?

Only 9 more days for Savannah?? And I guess ours here. Every year ear I say to the grands at the first of the that year, “Mark this well!! Before you know it the school year will be over.”
And here we are. Not a moment too soon for you and Savannah I know. And I fervently hope there is a path for your beautiful inside and out daughter for the next year, JWoo. Senior year? She’s a survivor, as are you. That, you have to turn over to God as well as you stand between her, warrior-like, and n the ungodly forces which have infiltrated her school.
I had my impacted wisdom teeth removed when I was 14. Lived on chocolate malts for a month after. The silver lining. I hope she’ll sail right through, dear sis, and will pray so.

Kiddo got her yearbook today. Interestingly, the yearbook staff left OUT the academic team and included all other “clubs” with the exception of the Gay Straight Alliance. Do you think they did that on purpose because they don’t want the history recorded to remember the sins against our children?

Our twin grandlads who are Savannah’s age didn’t start school when they should have, their birthday being early July. Best decision ever.
And our daughter with the three plus one has held the triplets back a year, their progress not being what it should be. Again I think a wise decision.

I keep looking at the weather app on my phone and every day it says rain. Just looked now and I see there is a chance of it for the next 4 days at high percentages. We’ll see, but so far we’ve struck lucky for only one of the last 6 it was forecast. It’s in Gods hands.
As an afterthought, I’m remembering when I was little and wondered why it was that adults seemed to be so talkative about “weather”. It seemed boring and inconsequential to young me.

Storm prayers worked again! Watched the radar of what passed you (thought you guys were going to get hit again with a tornado) and then headed for us…looked really nasty. Then it just miraculously split and went to the north and south of us! That was around 3am…and still now, though no rain, the thunder continues deep and rolling. Makes you wonder what’s really going ‘up there’!

It is written in the law, that the testimony of two men is true. The Lord Jesus also told those whom He had chosen to be with Him, that He might send them forth to preach, and to continue His ministry; that “You are witnesses of these things.”
In Revelation 6:9-11, there was seen under the altar in heaven, the souls of them which were slain “for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held;” crying to God for vengeance upon their murderers: and God answering commanded for every one of them to be given white robes; and He said to them, Not until your brethren also, who shall be killed as you were, is fulfilled. Just as the Lord taught in the Beatitudes, how that suffering reproach and persecution for His Name’s sake, made us like the prophets who were before us. So the martyrs of Jesus, and all His servants the holy prophets and messengers which He sends; are not only witnesses of the things of God in Christ, as those who saw and heard His words; but were themselves the witness, the testimony of the manifestation and evidence of the truth of God wrought in them. As soon as the dragon saw that the Man-child was caught up to God, he went out in a fury to persecute the woman which gave birth to Him, and the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God. So we see, that we are intrinsically connected to the Savior, and are His witnesses, in the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death; that we may share also in the power of His resurrection.
When the Lord spoke about the coming of the Holy Spirit to dwell in us; as One called in to help us; it was for the purpose also of convicting the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, through us. So too, this testimony is in how our love for one another is made of God, to be the sign to the world that Jesus has come. Yet in all these things, it was implied that they should be manifested through opposition and contradiction from the world, the flesh, and the devil; and that our obedience of faith and love would not result in the world’s repenting, but in its hatred and hostility, judgment and condemnation.
Not even with all the trumpets of God warning them, through terrible punishments and plagues; and the preaching of the saints alongside; would lead them to repent and seek mercy from the Lord. Not even the glaring witness of the world they are creating under Antichrist, and the exceeding fierceness of the times; which God makes them to be for the purpose of shaming them and putting them in fear of His destroying them; can they come to themselves to consider what’s happening to them.
Now the complete teaching here, is not only concerning how the elect of God are witnesses to the truth, but that those also who set themselves to oppose, and are contrary; that these also are in fact witnesses, and their very lives in ungodliness, evidence of God’s eternal power and divine judgment; for the wrath of God is manifested in them, according to how God sees them. These things should put people in fear, by seeing what they have become.

It was a memory and had it not been there I would not have any comfort in times of trouble. How lost this generation is.

A Baptist church we attended was getting new hymnals. They were disposing of the old, so we grabbed one before it found its way into the trash. I still bring that thing out and sing with my daughter in the living room. It is so nourishing a capella… and she was so little at that time. Maybe 4 years old? She’s 17 yo now and recognizes every word. To watch her remember, light up, and join in. Awesome. I hope some day to take portions of it for caroling. Or maybe we just take to the streets?

It looks like that cyclone in the Bay of Bengal will come ashore in Myanmar (Burma) with the windward side just missing the shore of Bangladesh. It is going to be a major though. Probably a 3 or 4. Tropical cyclones coming ashore anywhere in that area usually result in high death tolls. According to Joe, 26 of the 36 most disastrous tropical cyclones have come ashore somewhere along the coast of the Indian Ocean.
In our part of the world conditions still look like they are going to be ripe for an early TS development in the Gulf of Mexico very late this month or during the first week of June. The Atlantic Hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th, with the most storms forming typically in September.
The convective outlook for today shows possible tornado conditions all the way from the Mexican border through central Texas up to the border of S. Dakota. Enhanced conditions along the Nebraska-Iowa borders.

MAKE a HABIT of HAVING no HABITS

When we begin to form a habit we are conscious of it. There are times when we are conscious of becoming virtuous and patient and godly, but it is only a stage; if we stop there we shall get the strut of the spiritual prig. The right thing to do with habits is to lose them in the life of the Lord, until every habit is so practiced that there is not conscious habit at all. Our spiritual life continually resolves into introspection because there are some qualities we have not added as yet. Ultimately the relationship is to be a completely simple one.
Your god many be your little Christian habit, the habit of prayer at stated times, or the habit of Bible reading. Watch how your Father will upset those times if you begin to worship your habit instead of what the habit symbolizes – I can’t do that just now, I am praying; it is my hour with God. No, it is your hour with your habit. There is a quality that is lacking in you. Recognize the defect and then look for the opportunity of exercising yourself along the line of the quality to be added.
Love means that there is no habit visible, you have come to the place where the habit is lost, and by practice you do the thing unconsciously. If you are consciously holy, there are certain things you imagine you cannot do, certain relationships in which you are far from simple; that means there is something to be added. The only supernatural life is the life the Lord Jesus lived, and He was at home with God anywhere. Is there anywhere where you are not at home with God? Let God press through in that particular circumstance until you gain Him, and life becomes the simple life of a child.

Trolls. Can’t live with them – can only pray FOR them.
Don’t feed the trolls.
How then is it possible to keep in mind the Scriptures we need in times of trial and temptations, if we are not “consciously” Bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ?
And how is it, that it is always the godly exercises that are attacked and slandered as possible “idols” that make one a hypocrite?
The way these things are presented do not encourage faith, nor the simplicity of heart that they purport; but like the one who learns more and more about less and less until a button pops!
So the way I understand this message; the only way to undermine our idolatrous tendencies toward religious methodologies, is to pretend not to care at all? Did I get that wrong? Or is God really like the Lincoln Memorial statue, just sitting there stoically looking on?
Maybe someone would like to explain, in case I’m not getting it.

When Savannah was in utero at 12 week… and I an unwed Mom… it was determined that her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck. I had to go in for non-stress tests twice a week and she was considered an “at risk” pregnancy. I had to eat dry turkey sandwiches and drink oreo cookies and cream milkshakes to make that girl of mine move for the doctors.
I knew she was a girl and I named her from my dream of her… I held her and told Savannah that I couldn’t help her and she would need to be very good and help herself in there. I spoke right to her often.
Psalm 139 is our family verse and her baby book is filled with many ultrasounds, and medical things. And Scripture.. lots of Scripture.
When she was born, my water broke and I labored 24.5 hours. Of the six women there, I was dilated most and was sure to deliver first. The Lord had other plans and one by one those women all surpassed me. I threw up at least 48 times at every contraction. On my knees on the floor, bent over a chair.. I said in my usual comic relief under duress “Knowing what I know now, why would anyone do this twice?”
I outlasted three nurse rotations, 2 anesthesiologists, and a most dedicated obstetric surgeon on a 24 hour shift who refused to go home until I was delivered.
They put me on a table for cesarean wide awake. I was so small, my hands kept slipping out of the strappings they used to restrain me down. So I held on. They had to remove vital organs and set them beside me because I was so small and she was stuck in my rib cage and they kept pulling me off the table trying to get her out.
Then to everyone’s astonishment, she was born..a full head of flaming red hair… and her umbilical cord wrapped… not once… but twice and knotted around her neck.
The medical staff kept filing into the room to see the miracle baby… the moniker “double nuccal with a knot”.
If she would have delivered normally, she would have killed herself.
God directs the waves to crash on the shore and to come no further. As He did my precious girl. And she was a peaceful baby too. The day care staff would take their breaks and come and just hold her. She was.. and still is… that peaceful powerful Spirit.
Psalm 139… our family verse.

That’s an amazing story – and a God one, for sure!

JWoo, that’s the Psalm that our_astor had on the card he brought me tod when he visited me. He gave me a choice, eucalyptus vs spearmint oil to be anointed with. Chose the eucalyptus cause I thought it’d be fun to have a koala around here. 🐨
Koala…. bwah ha ha!!! Eucalyptus is very cathartic. We built a home in Fallbrook, California on a privately owned road on 5 acres of undeveloped land. The mountain across the street from us was all Eucalyptus. Very flammable – so not good in the wildfires of Southern California – but nonetheless breathtakingly beautiful. Fallbrook was also known as the Avocado Capital of the World and known for its fruit groves and Macademia nuts. I marveled at how anyone could be starving with the fruits that would fall from the trees and languish along the roads.
She was a beauty…. take a look at the scenic pictures. Our neighbor grew persimmons on 2 acres for Harry and David. The neighbor next to them a race car driver. Kris Kristoferson and Rita Coolidge were popular residents in that small and blessed community.
Alas – my engagement did not take. After two years, I left him for unspoken reasons and never lived a day in the home. We worked at CAT together – I in Lost Angeles (yes, I spelled that correctly) and he in San Diego County.
We imported the bones of that home from Canada – a Linwood Homes package – Californiaized. I, along with the Architect, designed it. To meet Title 24 standards for efficiency, we had to rotate the home 5 degrees, because there were too many windows. LOL How could you not have windows with all those views!!!!
I ran all the trades on the undeveloped land to cut in a 420 ft driveway, 20 ft wide, with a culvert (300 cu ft short of a major grading plan) and installed all the utilities. I only left the superstructure to a General Contractor. Save us a FORTUNE… and in the end only had a $260k mortgage. My job for CAT had me running sub-contractors and I was fearless with regulatory agencies. 7 of them to approve the building plans.
I am a freak show of odd talents. Joan (Jack) of all trades, but master of none. I love surveying and investigating land use. Thought of making a company of it at one point in my life.

I am facing a bit of a dilemma. The United States Patent and Trademark Office has changed their procedures. Renewing a trademark used to be a simple matter of paperwork and fees.
Last August they increased their renewal fees and also now require an hour-long Zoom interview in which I must set up a digital ID called IDMe. I am told the only way I can avoid IDMe is to use a lawyer.
I am even contemplating letting the two trademarks in question expire, since I only supply these products to one legacy customer. This is not a solution for the future, of course. I have another trademark that is more valuable.
How can I resist this government intrusion, as they force me to submit to a digital ID?

The verses preceding today’s tell us that “the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, division, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these” (Galatians 5:19-21). The devil uses many things to pit one person against another. He also uses the diversity of sin to pit you against God.
However, you don’t have to live that way. Once you have taken on the mantle of faith in Jesus Christ – belief in His saving work of redemption – you are not bound by the ways of evil. Faith in Christ means Christ lives in you, and you can have peace with God. The Holy Spirit resides in you, and you exhibit His fruit as you mature – traits to cherish and cultivate into a harmonious whole.
Paul points out that “you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus” (Romans 6:11). This means that the pervasive attachment to sin is dead. You are not a slave to it anymore, but you are alive with the fruit of the Spirit working in you. Jesus bridged the gap between you and God so that the peace of God can flourish in you. Once an enemy, you are now His child. His grace abounds.
The person who does not know Christ as Savior still indulges the divisive fleshly works. Ask the Lord to enable you, and believing leaders of this nation, to be examples of peace in a world of chaos. May the fruit of the Spirit abound in your life.

Just a blip of hope.
first samual 22 speaks of David who ran from Saul the king.
who was Saul? A man who was placed in the position by men who would not listen to God. Saul was not a bad man nor good until power was in his grasp and he was plagued with demons. He counseled with the soothsayers, mediums a witch, which God has specifically given instructions NO. And why? They are not allowed to enter our realm of existence because you have no idea what you are being counseled by.
David was the anointed king but, Saul would not allow that to happen and tried over and over to kill him. It was his demise. David did not go against king Saul at any point due to his reverence for the position of king. Saul killed himself eventually.
The nation was always with David, he was a king who defeated the enemies of Israel, his son Solomon brought peace and prosperity beyond imagination. Streets paved with silver.
What was Solomons prayer to God? “Give me wisdom to rule my people justly” and he did. What was David’s prayer when he committed adultery? “Lord do not take your spirit from me.” That means something. God did not and will not remove his spirit once you are his.
I see resemblances in this story and today’s season, history repeats over and over until we get it right. David was not a perfect man by any means. Saul had no loyalty to anything but self.
I remember this one from my childhood…
My mother and my aunts used to tell me stories about growing up out in the country during the Great Depression. My grandmother used live chickens to pay the peddler. My impression is that chickens were a rather common currency during those times. When I looked for info on chicken barter during the Great Depression, this came up. I enjoyed it. I hope you do too.

Bartering helped survive rationing in WWII as well! I remember bits of what I was told. Depression time the family only got meat once a week on Sunday. Whole extended family had to share 1 chicken.

During summah up in Penobscot Bay area the chicken man drove his chicken wagon all around for the entire summah season. Horse and wagon full of wooden cages and the chickens would lay and he would deliver. People saved the eggs in saltwater barrels in the basement.
Prior to the Great Depression lobstah was considered inedible. Only poor fisher families ate it when nobody was looking. Back then only poor people lived close to the water and soon as high tide come up they’d toss those lobstah shells off the back porch so’s nobody would know they was having hahd times.

So sad about the Maine Lobster group versus the government. Makes me sick.
My mother never had bacon. If they came on some bacon the adults got it and the kids got bread soaked in the bacon fat. I remember watching a woman saving bacon fat as a child. (Raised vegetarian) Now I save it too. As for the Lobstermen, it’s easy to see another agenda there that has nothing to do with whales. It’s families mostly, same families for generations.
Thanks for posting this. Brought back many memories for me. Back in the 50s and early 60s my sister and I would spend the weekend with my Dad’s mother who was born in 1896. She lived 2 blocks away from the railroad tracks. Every weekend at least one hobo would come to her door asking for food. She always fed them a sandwich and a big glass of cold milk. She was adamant that no one would be turned away without food.
Lots of people hungry then still. A neighbor lady somehow ended up single and of course didn’t tell anyone (for good reason.) After eating just flour and water all winter she and the kids were near death so everyone found out and pitched in to fill her pantry. Not these days. When people cause harm to others they console their conscience with the thought of the social safety net. But it looks like the rules want you to starve and be homeless for a while before you can qualify – as if big government just knows you have a cash stash in your mattress cause they would.
I suspect, patty, your grandmother has collected her heavenly reward. One wonders if perhaps one of those men wasn’t an angel…
We had a good friend here once from elsewhere. His grandmother did the same in the country where he came from. They all knew where to go. None was turned away. 💕

H. Ross Perot grew up near the train tracks in Texarkana. The hobos knew to go to Mrs. Perot’s door. She would always provide a meal to a man who was riding the rails looking for work.
My grandmother did the same thing. She would feed the men who would pass through on foot and let them spend a night in the barn. She hung a dipper by the well so anyone who needed water to drink could get some.
My grandparents’ house blew away in a tornado in 1935 when my mother was 5 years old. My aunt says that the men in the community came together and helped my grandfather build another house. They were done in three weeks.

I’m so glad to see this post, Duchess… as I had no detail who Mike was or was connected to… nor did I know timing for his surgery. Starting now, I guess, as I’m in eastern standard time zone.
Continuing to pray for him. These medical professionals can do miraculous works and I’m prayerful for one for Mike, as well!
Father, God,
With humility, prayer, and supplication, we come to You in Your throne room on our knees on Mike’s behalf. Give his surgeon patience, steady hand, and great wisdom to work on every portion of Mike’s brain to bring him healing and full recovery.
Comfort Dee and quiet her Spirit with Your Divine and Warm Presence to still any anxieties and remind her that there are no uncertainties with Your Presence in their lives. All is known and all is for their ultimate good per Romans 8:28. “All things work for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His Purpose”. That’s ALL THINGS.

Strong El Nino coming on. There has never been a big Atlantic Hurricane season when there is a strong El Nino. Easterly wind flow tends to sheer the tops off the storms that form in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico and those that form in the main development region out in the Atlantic tend to be steered away for the US coast and stay out to sea.
However water temperatures in the Atlantic are warmer than they ever have been during an El Nino. There are no analogs for that condition to be found in past years. So we will just have to see. But I think I understand now why Joe believes that if we a strike on US shores the most likely area would be along the northern half of the US east coast.
