for those who kept their businesses open during the covid shutdowns, the federal government has earmarked funds to pay to those businesses up to $26,000 per employee. Saw this ad for a company that is specializing in getting those funds to the businesses, they fill out the forms, help the employer figure out what they are entitled to and such, for a fee (similar to a lawyer’s contingency fee situation).

I saw the ad while watching a Rumble video, they were sponsors for the show, and remember reading several Treepers were able to, through very hard work, to keep their businesses going during the shut downs so if this can help, it might be worth checking it out.

Jesus came into the world to bear witness to the truth, and to save men’s lives, by yielding up His holy and sinless life to be betrayed, to be despised and rejected of this generation, and to be shamefully treated and killed, and to rise again the third day; in order to buy back His elect in a great salvation. Jesus did not come into the world as a reformer, or to start a political movement to overthrow the evil powers that be; but to subject Himself to their hatred and hostility and murder, in order to prevail in taking the power out of the hands of the devil and his children.

Jesus came into the world to announce the Great Glad Tidings, that the kingdom of God is at hand; and to preach that men should repent and believe the Glad Tidings. His coming into the world was a miracle, and all the things surrounding Him and His ministry were miraculous. God coming in the flesh was a miracle; and all that He came to do for us, and in us, is a miracle. Jesus does not need to go forth conquering and subduing people unto Himself; for the only way anyone can be accepted of God, and receive the seal of righteousness and His Spirit, is by being of the truth on the inward parts by faith. This is the only way God uses to separate His children of election, from those who will have to perish, unfit for the Presence of God.

Upon the point by which man sinned, shall all men be tried and proven what kind they are, through Jesus having come in the flesh, and dying on the cross, and rising again the third day. All they who are of the truth will abide in obedience under the commandments unto death; the rest who seek to save their lives in this world will lose them. The point of being of the truth will come to the point of either obedience of the cross, or believing a lie in order to defy the commandments of God. The ungodly men of the world will take all that they believe in to murder and destruction of all; but the saints of Jesus will rather die than betray the Lord by committing sin.

Down in Texas, Joe Bastardi says the I-35 corridor is likely to get inundated this week into the next week. Big time flash flooding coming.

On the other side of the world there is a high probability for a powerful cyclone to form in the Bay of Bengal in the next couple of days. God help the people in the vast low lying coastal regions of Bangladesh it if comes ashore there. The greatest death toll due to a tropical cyclone occurred there in 1970. Well over 500,000 killed and possibly a million lost due to that storm.

The climate change disaster lies are still pouring out at a prodigious rate.

Love is indefinite to most of us, we do not know what we mean when we talk about love. Love is the sovereign preference of one person for another, and spiritually Jesus demands that that preference be for Himself (cf. Luke xiv. 26). When the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, Jesus Christ is easily first; then we must practice the working out of these things mentioned by Peter.
 
The first thing God does is to knock pretense and the pious pose right out of me. The Holy Spirit reveals that God loved me not because I was lovable, but because it was His nature to do so. Now, He says to me, show the same love to others – “LOVE AS I HAVE LOVED YOU.” “I will bring any number of people about you whom you cannot respect, and you must exhibit My love to them as I have exhibited it to you.” YOU WON’T REACH IT ON TIPTOE. Some of us have tried to, but we were soon tired.
 
“THE LORD suffereth long….” Let me look within and see His dealings with me. The knowledge that God has loved me to the uttermost, to the end of all my sin and meanness and selfishness and wrong, will send me forth into the world to love in the same way. God’s love to me is inexhaustible, and I must love others from the bedrock of God’s love to me. Growth in grace stops the moment I get huffed. I get huffed because I have a peculiar person to live with. Just think how disagreeable I have been to God! Am I prepared to be so identified with the Lord Jesus that His life and His sweetness are being poured out all the time? Neither natural love nor Divine love will remain unless it is cultivated. Love is spontaneous, but it has to be maintained by discipline.

BE MY VOICE

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Authority – God has it all! And in that complete authority over all things both in Heaven and on Earth, God gives you His power to overcome any temptation or anxiety the world throws at you. You play a part in the outcome, but that part includes choosing to accept His rule and abide in His grace. Resting in the palm of His hand, you will discover a defeated enemy and an oasis of peace. 

With God’s complete dominion over all things, how can Satan ever retain power over one of God’s children? The enemy leverages human nature to entice you into the realm of sin. Once there he burdens you with a load of guilt and misery. While he cannot have the soul of God’s people, he settles for making you ineffective and miserable. But you do not have to cooperate! 

Only God’s light reveals truth and will give you the right perspective on living. As you realize the enemy is defeated through the resurrection power of Jesus Christ, you can trust you are forgiven from past sin and free to walk away from current temptations. God’s oasis of peace comes into view as you choose to see God alone as good, rather than the distracting things of this world.  

Pray for believers across the nation to live in victory over sin and find God’s peace. Pray for governing officials in the United States to submit themselves to the authority of God both in their lives and in their work. Ask that many will join you in the palm of His hand, the oasis of peace.

Dinner tonight. Hickory smoked BBQ chicken legs and thighs. I have two smoker boxes. Soak the hickory chips in water then drain them and fill the 4″ x 6″ boxes to the top. Start the grill, only putting the burner lines under the two rows of burners that the boxes are over on high. When the boxes start smoking start the other two burner lines on low and put the wings and thighs on the top rack. There they get the most smoke.

Once the smoke is done, assess how done the pieces are, when 3/4 done, mop liberally with Montgomery Inn small batch BBQ sauce and continue to do so intermittently. For the last 15 minutes or so put the pieces down on the main grill surface turning to get the sauce set on both sides.

Corn on the cob and escalloped potatoes round out the meal.

Today will probably be the biggest tornado outbreak since last month.

Big ticket tornado day. Think this should be at least a 20 tornado day. 1) Dry line. 2. Abundance of low pressure. 3) Jet intersections 4) TIME OF YEAR its like being in the heart of hurricane season with tornadoes.

Area where the convective outlook indicates this is most likely to happen has changed a bit from what it showed in earlier post.

Got the garden soil raked into the garden today and removed what tilled up weeds and grass that I found. The bed is ready for planting!

Hickory chips have been soaked and drained and are in their smoke boxes. But before I can fire up the grill, Sherry and I are giving wild thing Buckley a bath. We’ll see who gets wetter; him or Sherry and I.
