After the last crash I picked up a modest place among them to spend my twilight years and can share that nature is truly a salve for the soul. Perfect place to be the village blacksmith. Once among them you likely will find it difficult to leave.

Nature also provided my companion, a once-bedraggled kitten found under a neighbor’s deck among the trees.
I can’t imagine someone abandoning an already spayed, beautiful cat like that in the forest. Now she’s a healthy mature adult and sleeping at my feet as I type this.

If officers come up from the ranks – they should be mostly white. I was at Ft. Bragg (soon to be Liberty – ugh) at a graduation ceremony. About 300 hundred on the field being graduated & hundreds in the bleachers just attending.
Majority of all troops were young white *men*. Definitely brown, black & women, but in the minority. It was just and *observation* on my part.
Actually, it was a really great day – nice to see all these young patriotic soldiers smiling and enjoying the day! One gets a feeling of pride being around the military in their uniforms – at least I definitely do! 🙂
