Have you read the trilogy he wrote of other planets? That’s stuff most won’t talk about and way too close to reality of explaining many issues. I find my mind often wanders where he went with those books. We are never alone and people would be much better off taking into account that aspect of our existence. Not talking about just angels or demons.

I have somewhat of a ‘tradition’ at the end of each year which I have adhered to for decades. I take time between Christmas and New Year’s to seek the Lord in prayer for some understanding of the coming year to get some ‘footing’. When I had done so this past season, I came away with a ‘knowing’ that 2023 was going to be a very ‘bumpy’ year. I also had the assurance that God’s people would survive it, though they may get a few scrapes and bruises in the process because:

I also had an understanding that the stench must reach the Ivory Towers. This, of course, has a number of potential ramifications.
Folks often say that ‘light is the best disinfectant’. In these dark times, God’s Light can be blinding for it is bright. I am reminded of a quote by C.S. Lewis: “God will invade. But I wonder whether people who ask God to interfere openly and directly in our world quite realize what it will be like when He does. When that happens, it is the end of the world. When the author walks on to the stage the play is over.”

Every single one of my immediate and extended family members are diehard Dems. Given a choice between Biden, Newsome or Kennedy, they will vote for Kennedy. Regarding the First Republic bank failure and the $30B infusion by big banks to help deposits. I wonder if big money (over $250K) deposits were given priority to get out and into big banks and regular folks with few thousand $ were “persuaded” to not get out…..maybe accounts not accessible? So, again…FDIC (us) stuck with the socialized losses.
