Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

I wanna stop and take pics but 18 wheelers use these roads too.
Mostly logging trucks
Hope your days a good one

So good, molon. Same…one day then the next. Glad you’re taking in the sites. I’m so curious about where you are…not specifically but generally. Knew you were in Florida at one time. You seem to have found your little bit of heaven, as your pictures always show.
Enjoy the scenery and all the cows in it😎

I keep worrying about the kitten’s back claws. I’ve had my arm in that position so many times.
Morning Ya’ll 🙂
Dad’s right he’s the one !
Happy bench Monday, Mr jay. Found one to add to yours. Hope ya don’t mind…
Maidin Mhaith Betsy 🙂
Bora da, Mr jay😁
Great bench, Betsy. Makes one want to settle and just watch the water ripples and smell the nature. Beautiful.
We had one just like it in our Welsh garden, placed by our small pond between two apple trees, Mary. We’d take a cup of tea up and sit on it just watching the world go by. Many a pleasant afternoon spent on ours. Memories, memories…looks as if there might some creature making its way somewhere in that photo I thought.
You’re right. I didn’t catch that, though I saw the ripples.
Mornin’ Bet. 🙂
Morning, dear Garrison. This is me right now😉
Need a bigger cup…
Me, not you!
The smile is as cute as can be!
Morning, Greg😉 I’ll root around my cabinets for you…I’m sure there’s a larger one on there…somewhere…
Bett and Mary
Some time this week I will take a pic of my bench by the lake
Some days I sit still and watch
Geese mostly
Ducks too
It’s fun listening to them
Different groups talking to each other
Please do!!!! Your thinking and listening bench. I had one once….nature and all in her spoke. So many conversations if one were paying attention. My soul was at peace.
Nice bench Bett
Throw a pebble in and watch the water ripple
The ripple keeps goin and goin and goin
Kinda like we do here
Drop a pebble or two here and there
and watch the ripples
☘️
And that is the beauty of our conversations. Start with one comment, which reminds another of something else…in goes their pebble…and so on. 💕
That quite a (uh, ) Monday bench.

Yupp ! 🙂 😉

Hope you are faring well!
Oh my goodness, Griever! Haven’t seen you in ages!
Doing well, my friend, and truly hope you are as well.
Wouldn’t wish harm on anyone but gosh, how right they are…coincidence? Someone was bound to take the mickey.
agree! Jusr some fun satire.
Bestsy, would you – or anyone reading – mind doing me a small favor? My son has been working Very hard on creating a youtube series called ‘Stickmen’, and he is not getting many views or support. would you mind taking a moment and stopping by and dropping him a like or comment? I hate to ask but he has been working sooo hard and my heart breaks for him. A little encouragement would mean a lot to him.
To simulate animation he sets the Frame-rate really high so setting the speed Of the video at .25 helps a lot. The lastest episode – tales from the resistance – is the most well put together. He taught himself how to do everything and gets better at it with every release. I am very proud of him.
If yes, you have my gratitude, if not all good – i will still love ya =)
I would be delighted to do it for him.
My husband’s two lads had muscular dystrophy, and the one thing they could do was work with computers and programming. This was in the infancy really of internet; but they became experts, as you can imagine as they did this day in and day out. We understand and feel every single thing you said, because they taught themselves from the beginning. Tell him for us, keep going, try to not get discouraged. I admire his diligence and passion, and perseverance… qualities in short supply today. The best part of him which no doubt he got from his loving and supportive father…
Which I really believe is one of the most difficult things about being a parent…watching our children making their own roads in this world…😘🙏🏻
Lord love him, Griever, and you for being the dad you are for him. Trial and error makes for good learning and knowledge. He’ll get there.
Incredible reply, and very kind. Thank you again and again. You’re such a wonderful person, Betsy.
It is a perilous world out there and he is handling it very well. I just pray those roads you speak of take him to a good place. So far so good. But as you sagely say: it is incredibly difficult to stand back, watch, and let him find his own way.
Difficult and sometimes impossible. Leaving this for you. I’ve kept it for ages and just recently reread it. See if this helps😘
Pretty certain I kept it for a reason…😉
https://www.quora.com/profile/Eric-Wong-197/https-humansinstructions-quora-com-My-mom-did-not-sleep-She-felt-exhausted-She-was-irritable-grumpy-and-bitter-She-was
PS…I know this about a mom, but I do believe as a dad there are some interesting points to be gleaned 😊
Excellent story, thank you. It reminded me of a couple of quotes. I am paraphrasing:
“The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly is to fill the world with fools.”
“Pain and failure are the best teachers, but no one wants to be their student.”
“Anyone who view the world at 50 the same way they viewed it at 30 has wasted 20 years of their life.”
“One cannot remake themselves without suffering, for they are both the marble and the sculpture.”
I’ve learned that there are times when rescuing someone is genuinely the best thing you can do for them because they’ve reached the limit and any more stress will damage them permanently, but this is rare.
More often, letting them fall is better so that they may learn how to pick themselves back up again.
Betsy, I just wish the above was as easy to do as it is to say, especially when it comes to my son.
Thanks again for the story, it’s given me a lot to think about
I know… We can all write little bits of wisdom. Following these words is hard and sometimes simply impossible. Add in what CS Lewis said…
“Experience that most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God do you learn.”
I know this because we stood backstop for our son while he pulled himself together out of a terrible place. Eventually he knew what it would take to get where he wanted all his life to be, did it, and has arrived at his destination.
And I say this not knowing how old your son is, Griever. What we do for our beloved gifts from God (as I have always called my children and grandchildren) is subject to the ages they are. That’s the first thing to remember.
Mentoring and loving our youngsters so by the time they reach the age where they are out the door is a crucial 24 hour a day job.
And at one naive point when I was doing this for my three now grownies with children of their own, I imagined that once they reached that age and were in the big wide world, I wouldn’t worry so much. Boy, was I wrong!! Worried more because they were out of my grasp. Learn? By God I did!
We never stop loving our children no matter their ages. But as Erica Wong said in that link, at some point once we’ve done our best to rear and guide them, we have to turn them over to God and let them “learn”…as we all have had to do. And trust that Almighty God is doing things better for them than we can hope or pray for. Amen🙏🏻
Apologies for going on and on…once I get started, it’s a job to find the shut off switch. Sometimes I think those who read what I write must believe think the factory simply forgot to install one. 😎💕
Very wise again, I could read your words all day. I am glad your son managed to pull out of his tailspin, no doubt it was in no small way due to your guidance and the good examples you set for him throughout his life.
Yes ma’am, it’s knowing when to and when to not intervene that is the key to all of this. That kind of wisdom is generally achieved only through trial and error. Take the cookies out of the oven a moment too early and they are raw, a moment to late and they are burnt. It’s a tough needle to thread.
My son just turned 11, and i didn’t know what love really was all about til he was born. He’s a helluva good guy. =)
The age when a present dad can make or break a lad going forward.
My husband’s British father taught him everything. They were close. The other day, he said that when he made mistakes with whatever he was doing, his dad would say to him, “I’m not going to say you’re doing it wrong, but you might want to do it this way and see if it makes a difference to you.” Good mentoring. And that’s the sort of guidance he used with our now 17 year old grandlads when they were your son’s age…it has paid dividends.
Oh how beautiful is your testament to the love you feel for him? It’s an overwhelming feeling, I know. Bet you never knew you could feel such love to the depths that you do, Griever💕 You and he will be mates, and great ones going forward.
Our Garrison who posts music every day has some wonderful stories about his dad, as have others…and they make the tears flow I can tell you. You both have some brilliant years ahead.
Know it, my friend. Your lad knows who has his back…🤗 Bet (please) to my friends.
If I could “thumbs up” your comment more than once Bet, I would do it a thousand times. I’ve taken a screenshot of this and will read it to my son tomorrow. How remarkable!
What a brilliant technique of subtle instruction your husband was lucky enough to have his British father utilize. I will attempt employ it for my son going forward. (My father was from Britain as well, but I never had that benefit.)
The lesson then, is that is isn’t just knowing when to intervene, but how to do so, when you do so.
You are so right, again: Regarding how I feel about my son, this (paraphrased) verse I heard from a Brian Burns song many years ago captures it:
I met him when the world began
Or was is last July?
I must go, but I will be back more often to read these open threads with close attention. Garrison, if you’re reading, I look forward to learning more about your relationship with your father – I no doubt have much your stories can teach me to be a better one myself, and I thank you – sincerely – in advance.
Thanks for everything Bet, and everyone else.
I will sub and share.
Maybe we can get it viral on iFunny. 🤔
On Griever’s behalf, thank you. He is such a great Treeper.
Good morning Bett
Grievers a Treeper
I will gladly subscribe later on today when I’m done giving barks baths.

Thanks for counting me among your ranks Molonabe, and for subscribing, my son will be thrilled! I love this community!
=)
Thank you, you thank you, thank you. Going viral would be pretty amazing =) But just a sub is great!
He gets new subs so rarely that each one means that much more.
Good morning Treepers

Morning, Joe. So good to see you right back where you belong. Beautiful!!
Good morning, Bet.
Got a few things done. Cut tree limbs and hauled them to the curb, changed cat boxes, did laundry again. Made a nice breakfast when I decided to take a break.
I took my time; no sense in getting in a hurry. Big piles of limbs, brush, and debris lining the curbs in front of houses along my street. A church group came along and cleared some of the tree limbs that were poking out in the street; they did this in front of a number houses, including mine. Very nice of them.
Tomorrow I’ll take the chain saw out to the back yard and try to clear some of that mess. Walked the big girls numerous times so they could take care of their business in a large grassy field down the street.
I’m having a cup of tea, calling it a night soon.
Lots of chain saws buzzing throughout the day as others are cutting and clearing tree limbs and brush. Neighborhood is in recovery mode, and things are already looking better.
Have a blessed day.
You be careful. I know it looks an awesome task, but every bit done is one less to do. And bless those lovely people who saw the need and stepped forward. That’s America. The very best God fearing, loving folk who thankfully still exist in this country in communities like yours. May He cover you and the others with blessings, dear Joe.🙏🏻💕
EXCELLENT choice! Really beautiful.
Thanx, Mary and good morning.

Good to see you, too, Molonlabe. Mine are only getting up for food. Then back to sleeping. Smart little ones.
Good morning Joe

Love your pics
Glad your safe
Well done, Molonlabe. I really enjoy the strong horizontal of the far bank, the strong vertical of the sun reflection and that great slant of the lens with the sun at center. The clouds with their silver (gold?) linings are just the icing on the cake.
Very nice, Molon. Thanx.
Speaking of being overwhelmed…
Gotta try for some shut eye or else this will be me in about 6 hours.
http://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/52b231386e7b3b63135b1fbce1fa4a9379600f23b63dd409a290b4face473467.jpg
Awesome. And hilarious.
Yep. That.
Felt lousy all weekend. Got up a bit before 3AM, had coffee, ate. Got more coffee. Asked my back if it wanted to go to work today, and it informed me it was less than willing. Pondered how a sleeping pill can refuse to work, and yet leave one this unable to move in the morning. Couldn’t sort it out. Called in to work and laid back down.
Only to not sleep.
Grrrrr……
More coffee. Currently wondering if a walk will help the back. It will, I think. A couple of ugly back surgeries in the past and the lengthy recovery proved walking helps. But I don’t wanna. (I will, I just don’t wanna. Besides, the cat is asleep with me in a recliner, and it wouldn’t be right to wake a sleeping kitty.)
Staring at the pic of the spilled coffee and thinking maybe more will help.
It’s funny, but it’s not funny. But it’s funny…..
That pic says a LOT!
Thanks for posting it, at least it can bring a smile!
Oh gosh, Greg…I am so sorry! My son had back surgery recently, my dad was plagued by a bad back, my husband has endured them in the past. If you can manage a small walk…needless to say, I am all sympathy for you, and pray this bout will be short lived. Take care please🙏🏻💕
(Clutching at straws here but do you have a hot water bottle? Would that help do you think?? And yes…nothing worse than pain at 3 am an a useless sleeping pill. Have you tried turmeric on a daily basis? One with ginger so it doesn’t upset your tummy? So so sorry……)
Appreciate the thought, Betsy. The surgeries were in 2019. Nine months to the day apart. Had more done in two than Tiger Woods did in five. They helped, but there are those days……
This is one of’em.
Going for more coffee and then forcing myself to walk. Under normal circumstances I can walk for miles. The last few weeks…not so much.
It’ll get better, it’s just the back and sleep loss conspired against me. Whew!
I hope your son’s surgery went well. The PT afterward is critical.
And, it is lifelong. Mess up and fail to do it for a bit and you end up where I am at the moment. I *KNEW* better!
The cat got up. She’s now staring at me like she’s contemplating another nap!
Oh, to be able to sleep again. Like a cat.
I hope your son didn’t need a lumbar fusion. I’ve never met anyone who could sleep well after that.
You are SUCH a kind hearted person!
He sent xrays…some insert which will fuse to remaining lumbar disc. Went in from the front, so needed a vascular surgeon as well. As a Navy vet he uses the VA and what he went through to eventually see a private doctor was unbelievable. But thanks to Mr Trump he was able to do it.
As for PT? Now he is back under VA care and is yet again waiting. Last I heard anyway. He’s so busy with his job, I haven’t received any updates. His company, bless them, paid him3/4 pay while he was recovering…no small blessing.
Ok then…motivate for your short walk and let’s feel better!! Maybe, hopefully, you’ll be able to sleep like this🙏🏻
Thanks Betsy!
All the best to your son in his recovery. Between the two surgeries my spine fractured and destabilized. All told I lost twenty months of work and was a stressed out wreck thinking I’d never work again.
God provided.
I can walk and I can work.
And I am THANKFUL.
Tell your son that a brother in back pain, as well as a fellow veteran (Army) wishes him well.
The more he puts into the PT, the more he will get out of it.
Above all……put God first.
Always, Greg🙏🏻 And I will pass on your kind message. Strangely (or not) he just texted to say he has started his PT…
Thank you for the back and forth today.💕 See you anon. Hope…truly hope…you get a better sleep tonight.
now THAT’S funny
So very wonderful.

You’re welcome Marti. Glad you like Johnny Cash and June Carter.
I know I do.
“Everybody on the ground !!!”
Nimrodman: Check the dog. I think he’s carrying.
I didn’t understand about “on the ground” until you replied. Now I understand why it’s so clever! Thank you.
Exodus 23:9 “Also you shall not oppress a stranger: for you know the heart of a stranger, seeing you were strangers in the land of Egypt.”
Leviticus 19:34 “But the stranger that dwells with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.”
Numbers 15:16 “One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourns with you.”
1 Corinthians 4:7 “For who makes you to differ from another? and what have you that you did not receive? Now if you did receive it, why do you glory (boast), as if you had not received it?”
Matthew 9:35-10:1 “And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the Glad Tidings of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every bodily weakness among the people. And having seen the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were wearied and cast away, like as sheep not having a shepherd. Then He says to His disciples, The harvest indeed is great, but the workmen few; supplicate therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He may send out workmen into His harvest. And having called to His twelve disciples, He gave to them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every bodily weakness.”
1 Corinthians 5:9-11 “I wrote to you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must you needs go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.”
In the law, the provision of a sacrifice for sin, to make atonement, that the worshiper may be forgiven of his sins; it was made expressly for those who sin through ignorance. For once the things was known, it was expected that there would be repentance and conversion; that now having knowledge, the person would cease sinning. And if however, one continued in his transgression after he had been instructed; it was counted as arrogance and presumption and rebellion; and there would be no offering for that sin, but only death.
Now we understand, that the LORD forbears to execute judgment speedily upon men, with the hope that through mercy and space to repent, the man should come to himself and take steps to reconciliation and amending his ways. This is very important for us to understand, who have a heart for souls to be saved. The LORD’s long-suffering is for salvation; because He truly is unwilling for any to perish.
The difference which God makes between His saints and the unsaved, is not for winking at the sins of His people, and waiting to catch the ungodly to destroy them! But this seems to be the tenor of what most churches teach their congregants. They have changed the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ into something like a get out of jail free card; that if someone merely “accepts” Jesus as their personal Savior; all sins, past present and future are automatically and without exception forgiven. While those who are without, and have no knowledge of Jesus and His dying on the cross for us, if they should even accidentally die in that condition, automatically, and without exception go to hell! What is wrong with this view? And how does it line up with everything Jesus taught, by word and by example?
The truth according to the Scriptures, and according to the Spirit of Christ; to those whom the more has been given, OF THEM will the more be demanded! If someone without knowledge commits things worthy of stripes, and does not repent; he will be beaten with few stripes, says the Lord: but the one who knows his Master’s will, and yet commits things worthy of stripes; he shall be beaten with many stripes! So too is it, that the Lord wants us to love the stranger; because we know the heart of the stranger. But the one who is called a brother; when he is sinning, after having been counseled and warned by many witnesses; we are to have nothing to do with.
In the Epistle of Jude, the Holy Spirit is addressing the issue of false brethren and deceivers, especially prominent in these last days. These are spots in your feasts of love . . . and Enoch prophesied of these saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; how that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.”
So we see from all the Scriptures we have here today, that it is not to the sinning and disobedient church people that the Lord has compassion, and wishes to send workmen; but to those great crowds of non-Christians in the world; who are cast away and wearied, and there is no one who is going to look for them for God. Jesus came into the world to save men’s lives, not to destroy them. And seeing that we all have knowledge; that an idol is nothing, and has no power to do anything at all. We are not defiled by being among sinners! Jesus said, that “They that are whole need not the Physician, but they that are sick: I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
So what can all of us do? We can pray for the Lord of the harvest to raise up workmen, that He might send them into His fields to do His work of saving souls. It does not make us holy to read books, or even to be in various groups and “ministries” at church. We are doing the Lord’s will, when we are attending to the things He says He cares about; which is having compassion on the multitudes of wearied and cast away who have no Shepherd! The example given us in Paul and Barnabas, in Acts 13, shows us how we can do our part toward helping the Lord in His work.
Acts 13:1-4 “Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.”
Did everyone in the church at Antioch go to the mission? No; but all were instrumental, in their unity of heart and soul, to attend to the Lord with prayer and fasting; so that the Holy Ghost could speak to the whole assembly what He wanted them to do. Love in the Spirit, and unity of purpose, fasting and praying with one accord, “ministering unto the Lord;” praying for the Lord of the harvest to send out workmen into His harvest; when there’s real love and holiness, the Lord will speak and He will direct the work He wants done.
WHO TRUSTS IN GOD A STRONG ABODE
Therefore let’s also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
— Hebrews 12: 1-2
This hymn was written by Joachim Magdeburg (1525 – ?), a German clergyman. The words are said to have undergone several revisions over the years. The tune was written by Claudin de Sermisy (1490 – 1562), a French composer of Renaissance-style part songs. (Information from hymnary.org and Britannica online)
There are so many reasons I like this hymn. It emphasizes the Gospel’s simple message of salvation through trust in Jesus Christ and His work, even (and especially) to those who are already Christians. It asks and expects that we can depend on God to protect and guide us daily. It trusts that God will continue to renew us as we pass through life. And it looks prayerfully, but with confidence, to God’s comfort as we leave this life and enter the next. All of this in one hymn!
It is about what God does for us and has done for us. It is not about what we do, or feel, or even what we should do. The emphasis is on simple trust.
Finally, the tone is emotionally neutral. It is accessible to people in their sad moments, as well as their joyous ones.
As I get ready to play for the funeral of one of our parishioners, I am grateful that she was comforted by hymns like this all her life and that her family may find some comfort in them now.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
Good morning, dearest duchess. How apt is Daniel today for the world we find ourselves in. I say a rousing Amen to that!🙏🏻 May your day be overflowing with all the blessings He can bestow💕

Galatiens 5:22-25
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Love
“Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Joy
“My lips will shout for joy as I sing your praise;
my soul, too, which you have redeemed.” – Psalm 71:23
Peace
“Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7

THE WARNING AGAINST WANTONING
“Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you.” Luke x. 20
As Christian workers, worldliness is not our snare, sin is not our snare, but spiritual wantoning is, viz.: taking the pattern and print of the religious age we live in, making eyes at spiritual success. Never court anything other than the approval of God, go “without the camp, bearing His reproach.” Jesus told the disciples not to rejoice in successful service, and yet this seems to be the one thing in which most of us do rejoice. We have the commercial view – so many souls saved and sanctified, thank God, now it is all right. Our work begins where God’s grace has laid the foundation; we are not to save souls, but to disciple them. Salvation and sanctification are the work of God’s sovereign grace; our work as His disciples is to disciple lives until they are wholly yielded to God. One life wholly devoted to God is of more value to God than one hundred lives simply awakened by His Spirit. As workers for God we must reproduce our own kind spiritually, and that will be God’s witness to us as workers. God brings us to a standard of life by His grace, and we are responsible for reproducing that standard in others.
Unless the worker lives a life hidden with Christ in God, he is apt to become an irritating dictator instead of an indwelling disciple. Many of us are dictators, we dictate to people and to meetings. Jesus never dictates to us in that way. Whenever Our Lord talked about discipleship, He always prefaced it with an “IF,” never with an emphatic assertion – “You must.” Discipleship carries an option with it.

Revelation 13:15-17 “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”
It is not something far off; but happening now! The whole world is moving very rapidly to roll this out over the next few years. WEF – “You’ll own nothing!”
The Lord has forewarned us of all things. Have you repented of your sins, and are you saved? The day of grace is closing. The transgressors are coming to the full. Get right with God today! Jesus loves you, and He died on the cross for your sins, to save you from your sins. If you do not repent and believe the Gospel, you will perish. That is God’s word to all humanity. And we are almost out of time. The Day of the LORD is near in the Valley of Decision

Beirut – No No No
Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace. – 2 Corinthians 13:11
The church in Corinth had been in turmoil. The believers had begun questioning Paul’s authority and the message that he had given them. The rebellion had intensified to the extent that Paul refrained from visiting Corinth to avoid severely rebuking them (2 Corinthians 1:23-24). He subsequently wrote a letter to the church in Corinth calling for their repentance.
The message of Second Corinthians is one of thanksgiving that many repented. It also appealed to those who still opposed Paul (12:19-21). Some believed that all that Paul suffered in carrying the Gospel was proof of God’s rejection of his message.
But Paul is quick to state that God is the “God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” (1:3-5). Paul’s behavior and attitude under adversity displayed God’s presence and power in his life.
Paul only wanted the members of the church to do what was right, and make amends with each other (13:7-9). They were to comfort one another in the trials and hardships. They were to “agree with one another, live in peace” (today’s verse). Paul urged them to stand firm in their faith.
Relationships are difficult unless you have the unifying Word of God in your midst. There is no substitute for having the love of God in your heart and the hearts of fellow believers. Seek to cultivate this with others in your congregation. Pray as well for restoration in this country through hearts and minds unified in the message of the Gospel.

Well, look who showed up again! Guess it’s time to re-post this precious little spirit.
I have chills already.
It is time, nwtex. I’m sure he was heard. 💕
Have you every seen such a sweetheart! I want to see more, want to know what his life is about, want to hear from his parents etc. Anyway I’m glad you acknowledge him ♥️
How could we not?? Those tightly shut eyes…I can see him thinking, “I’m praying so hard. I hope He hears me.” That firm, earnest voice. I have a picture of one of my triplet grands doing the same thing…praying, eyes squeezed, folded hands uplifted to the heavens. Please hear my prayer.🙏🏻
I have seen this before and it went straight to my heart then. More so now.💕
WOW! You have a treasure in that picture!!! 💞 How old was your little one at that time?
About 5…and yes! A treasure it is. I’ve got the photo on my phone, but I’ve also stored it in my head and my heart, which is much better😌

A 3-year-old boy bowing his head in prayer during school lunchtime is taking the Internet by storm.
While Martin and her husband Darnell were impressed that Makhi memorized the prayer, Martin said it’s consistent with his “great personality.”
“He’s very smart,” she added. “He’s obsessed with dinosaurs. He can name all the dinosaurs and something special about them. He can tell you his birthday, his mom and dad’s names, where he lives … he can tell you everything.”

How deliciously serene, dear friend. I’m there…sigh…💕
“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Good morning all!
Wyoming had the coldest winter on record and it took a toll on the wildlife. If the left has their way the death toll in the future will include humans.
The EPA is getting ready to try and destroy coal fired power generation.
EPA to Propose First Controls on CO2 Emissions From Power Plants – ‘Will be 1st time fed gov’t has limited CO2 from existing power plants’ – Watts Up With That?
Here is a link to current sources of power generation in each state.
Electricity Generation by State | March 2023 | Choose Energy®
For Wyoming:
64.3% of their electricity is generated at coal fired plants.
1.5% by hydroelectric
4.8% by natural gas
0% by nuclear
0.2% by solar
28.2% by wind.
For the US
20.1% by coal
6% by hydro
38.8% by natural gas
19% by nuclear
2.9% by solar
10.8% by wind
percentages do not add up to 100% because other very minor sources like geothermal and biomass and not included.
Solid info, thank you for posting it.
And yes, that is EXACTLY what the EPA is trying to do.
Waiting to hear the absolute outrage from the left that China is building six times more coal fired plants more than the rest of the entire world combined is building this year…..
From the perspective of the left, we must destroy ourselves to save the world from “climate change” while the rest of the world keeps on doing what they are doing.
Stupid on steroids.
India is #2 on the list of those building new coal fired plants.
Monsters… psychopathic cult worshipping monsters, Rob.
Any state that follows this path to devastation will condemn their populations to misery and death. This is not hyperbole. This is despotic and evil.
These states must screw their courage to the sticking place and refuse. How much hope that will happen? Little to none.
All part of the great reset, and for that to be instituted people must die.
The founders understood that government was a necessary evil. They hoped the combination of a founding document establishing a representative Republic government and the will of the people would prevent the natural progression of the Federal Government to gather all power to it’s self. We have failed them by allowing this to happen.
Needed a moral public for the Constitution to work. I’m afraid that ship has sailed.
They used a ten year (Milankovitch) Warm cycle in the late 80’s to early 90’s to try and launch a “Global Warming Carbon Tax” and than had to change it to “Climate Change” (which the Sun and Earth do all the time) after record Cold temps. The Earth’s Climate is all about change. One thing is certain, the Earth’s Climate Changes. No amount of tax to Wall St vermin and political criminals like Al Gore, David Blood etc is going to change that

Well climate is just the aggregate of weather over a long period. So what they are really saying is that they can change the weather. One of the oldest snake oil scams in history.
God does not exist in the minds of these monsters. They’ve elevated themselves to that position. There will be a price for them to pay at some point. In the meantime, they’ll take as many down as they can, which was always the point.
Can’t sort out homelessness or crime or etc? But by golly can certainly control the climate.

A letter published today (Monday, October 19, 2020) with the signatures of 50 “former intelligence” officials is a self-inflicted wound of comedy and absurdity wrapped in the specious claim of special expertise. Thank God none of these clowns still hold a position anywhere in the national security bureaucracy. Their inability to grasp basic facts and engage in simple reasoning perhaps explains why the Obama team abandoned American military and intelligence officials at Benghazi in September 2012 and why they considered ISIS as “a junior varsity” team.

As I was in my backyard I noticed a Mockingbird with a bug in its beak standing on top of some hollies I have along the driveway on the same side and below the Lorpetulum hedge where the Cardinals and the cousin of the Mockingbird, the Brown Thrashers are both nesting. Sure enough it eventually dove into the shrub. I just saw him again today grab a bug and go to the same holly which means they are indeed nesting there. I’ve never had a Mockingbirds nest on my property before, though they guard my suet feeder every year. Pretty cool.
Like my holly!!! Nests occupied, left, occupied again, and so on…cardinals, jays, and mockingbirds in that order.
Consider your mockingbird, which has a glorious song repertoire and is our state bird, a messenger from me to say Good morning, dear Colkitto!💕
Yes! It is thrilling to see😊😊
Ty ty Bet! I’ve always loved Mockingbirds even though they can be a bit pugnacious. As a kid I remember watching a Mockingbird taking on a flock of Bluejays during nesting season as Bluejays are nest predator relatives of the Crow.
Your Holly is doing what my Loropetulam is doing. Always keep your eyes and ears open you never know what you will see.
This is our smallest Warbler. A Northern Parula. Kinglet/Chickadee sized with a big song. They nest up the street along the river. They have a distinctive song that abruptly ends like they got strangled. They love Sycamore Trees which is a very “birdy” tree, but it is messy and its the one tree/plant that makes me sneeze.

What a sweetie! How fortunate are you for seeing him? And yes, no fear in mockingbirds. I’ve watched many dive bomb a cat just strolling, minding its own business. Fascinating.
For some reason three crows, big ones, have decided our neighbourhood, and in particular our fence, is the place to be this year. Haven’t heard them today…but yesterday? Wow!
Don’t know if you saw my short post yesterday…in the rain and on our front lawn arrived Mr and Mrs Mallard, resplendent in their colours. Settled for a bit under our Mexican pin oak, groomed themselves for a few, then headed out to a body of water across the way. Loved seeing them💕
I really love Waterfowl, kinda one of my favorites. I had a pair land in my driveway where I lived up north. They were looking for a place to nest. Years ago the bottom of the street was a pond which they drained (unfortunately) and my neighbors who were big birders and where the first house built on the street said the ducks would still come looking for that pond. Another neighbor who had a pool had a Mallard nesting years ago. Another neighbor had a pool that was set away from the house near a small patch of old forest that was left b y the builders, and many a time I would see Wood Ducks and Mallards come in at dusk back there. Very cool.
I always wanted a pond that was big enough to attract Ducks. Hasn’t happened yet, but perhaps some day. Ty for the news. Love it
You will one day…know it💕
I even have Mocking birds nesting up here in Indiana some summers. Always loved to hear them except they sometimes sing all night and can keep one away when sleeping outdoors in with an open window.
HOLY CRAP !! Tucker Carlson and FOX parted ways. Friday was his last show.. Now I am TOTALLY done with FOX..
Hope Tucker lands over at NEWMAX or OAN
There is still Gutfeld. WOnder when he will go.
Gutfeld has a platform but doesn’t really care for the political side of things. I miss the days of old Redeye before FOX went nuclear on Greg and got rid of people like Oderus and other good comedians from being on the show.
If any of the rest had any guts at all, they’d all walk off today as well. They won’t. Tucker’s was the last show I watched on Fox. Recorded it every night. Bye Fox.
Cut the cord well over a year ago.
Liked Fox Business, but then Neil Cavuto morphed into a thoroughly partisan nasty man. And that was that…snip.
Sundance has a thread up on this. Should have known when I posted a Zerohedge link below he’d be right on top of it. Comments now almost 1000 and growing.
A comment for Tucker Carlson.
I believe Tucker’s comment that the Episcopalian Church is essentially no religion at all misses the mark.
If one looks for an official statement of Episcopalian theology one is struck by its absence and by an apparently proud declaration of that absence. There is no Aquinas, no Benedict, no Luther, no Wesley, no Calvin, no Rick Warren. Instead what you have are the St. James Bible, the Book of Common Prayer, the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds, and the Hymnal. Everything you ever need to know about Christ, His message, and how to conform one’s life to that message, will be found there. It is most definitely religion. Christian religion. What it is NOT is theology.
Some (meaning me) view the Old Testament as a 4,000 year history of the Jews getting it wrong. Some (me again) also view much of Christian theology as 2,000 years of Christians getting it wrong.
I don’t need 2,000 years of layer upon layer of Greek reasoning to understand Christ’s words in Matthew 5-7. I don’t need a pop “Christian” magazine to tell me how to live. And I don’t need a stack of Mr. Warren’s books telling me it’s not about me. It IS about me, and you, and you over there as well. It is about ALL of us, individually, getting right with God.
I am not an Episcopalian, but all I need to be a Christian is available through the Episcopalian Church.
Ward, I think you’ve been a little hard on the Beaver.
My Book of Common Prayer is precious to me.
How does it go? I didn’t leave the Episcopal Church…it left me. Well and truly.
Now this…
Tucker Carlson has been fired…

So is mine. It left me as well. “Love the man – hate the sin” is commonly perverted into a self-congratulating “tolerance,” which then gets hijacked and morphed into advocacy for the tolerated bad behavior. I prefer INtolerance. Jesus drove the money changers from the temple. Not an act of tolerance.
Don’t you now wish you hadn’t rattled my cage? Hah!
Wish I could remember the quote I found about the evil of tolerance, trapper. Alas…
Always put forward as a good thing. I need to go find it…more or less mirrors what you said.
Except the parts you left out, for some reason: that we are all members one of another, and we all need each other to make the whole body; and with that, that we are to submit ourselves to one another, as unto Christ; receiving His words which His saints speak! If you think you can say, I don’t need to listen to a man, I listen to God; but God has ordained it, that we should be saved by faith, HEARING AND RECEIVING THE WORD PREACHED BY ANOTHER MAN!
If you think you don’t need even the least of these, Jesus’ brethren; then you will sadly find out, that you don’t get Jesus either!
Faith works by love. And how are we ever gonna be willing and obedient to go to our own Calvary, if we can’t even take up a little humbling ourselves, to show respect for other Christians, WHO ARE ALSO BOUGHT BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS, AND MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD!
Or did I misunderstand you?

I took a vow
My life to risk
For this?!?
No
But I vow this
The America left me
Us
I’ll fight in the tightest little coop
Or the largest open field
Close quarters. Far
Not for myself. I’m shit
But I have friends whose skills and foresight want

I boil
A cauldron of love of truth
Against lies and liars

BE SILLY
Silly is as silly does
As silly is meant to be
Outrageous uncontrollable because
It’s a release to set us free
We might feel foolish for a little while
Embarrassed and giddy and nutty
Normally not like us or our style
Unglued and detached without putty
So when you feel overwhelmed
Just let go and be silly
Shake the shackles be unhelmed
Writhe about willy nilly
Refrained and restrained for so long
Tied up in knots we have become
Stiff and unfit is oh so wrong
What happened to many benumb
Surely events of the past two years
Have shaken and rattled outrightly
Increased our fears brought us to tears
And unnerved us more than just slightly
So if you are unravelled and uptight
Pay no mind to the cold and chilly
Get rid of the stress release it outright
Just let yourself go and be silly
