Good morning Treepers

Well Treepers, I’m back. Power is back on and laptop back on-line. Wednesday night, I had to take cover in my bathtub while a tornado roared overhead and through my neighborhood. I was watching a LiveStream with tornado chasers near Cole, OK and had News 9 on the TV at the same time. Lots of lightning and wind earlier, then the tornado sirens went off.
While listening to the wind turn into a loud roar, I was crouched down in the bathtub and kept the dogs as close as possible. Lots of banging and clattering as objects slammed into the house. Very intense for a few minutes.
Then it was quiet. I didn’t get a scratch.
I listened for a few minutes, climbed out of the tub, and tried to see what kind of damage was outside. Large tree limbs laying in my driveway and front yard, windshield cracked on my truck, debris everywhere. People came out with their flashlights to survey the damage.

Called the nursing home to make sure my wife was ok; everyone there were ok. The building wasn’t touched by the tornado. No fatalities or reports of injuries in my neighborhood.

The nursing home where I worked had some serious structural damage, flooding, windows blown out. No one hurt, no fatalities. All residents were evacuated to other facilities; some were moved to facilities out of state.

Went to see my wife yesterday, lots of damage throughout Shawnee. NWS says the tornado was an EF-2; to me it looked like an EF-3. Power lines and trees were down everywhere; buildings were torn apart. Cars flipped. Driving through town was a nightmare. A lot of the roads were blocked off and traffic was backed up due to lights not working.

Power finally restored in different parts of Shawnee earlier today and this evening. God bless the utility workers.

Easing into my East Texas morning. Relishing the moments with very few necessities to do.

Ahhhhhh. A day to recreate and rest. ✝️👀

Good morning all. Have a blessed Sunday.

For the first time Buckley didn’t get up with me this morning. He is still sacked out on the bed. And for the first time last night when I went to bed Gabby the cat came up on the bed to get her pets even though Buckley was there.

Buckley is learning the routine and Gabby is losing her fear of Buckley.

Buckley did not know how to tug at first, but watching Giesha, he has now learned and loves it. He has a rubber bone that squeaks that he loves and carries around a lot. Loves to play fetch with it.

And most importantly of all Buckley has learned and complies with NO! Until last night he would go absolutely bonkers for a time when we went to bed before he settled down. Now he complies with NO and settles down much more quickly.

So things are progressing. I think he has now figured out that this is his forever home.

• Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.  – Romans 12:10 

• Division in God’s Kingdom does not always present itself as one would expect. Many followers of Christ are on guard against blatant sin, yet, when unity wanes in a body of believers it is often due to pride and selfish ambition, which destroy harmony.  

• Christ set the example for humility and showing honor to others. If you believe Jesus to be the Christ, God’s Messiah, then you accept the fact that He is eternal and in that eternal state He chose to give up the glory that was naturally His. He traded unfathomable beauty and riches for the broken and sin-filled world you know. How does that idea sit with you? It goes against human nature to trade a beautiful and exalted status for lowly servanthood.

• Christ-like love for your neighbor or fellow believer can be similar to this. It willingly adopts an attitude of preferential treatment for others before yourself. That kind of humility in action is found in John 13 when Jesus washed the disciple’s feet at Passover. Afterward, He taught them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? … I have given you an example that you also should do just as I have done” (John 13:12-15). 

• Pray for God’s church in America to be devoted to humility and unity, avoiding selfish ambition and conceit. Ask that believers will bless their communities in harmony and faith. Pray for America’s public officials to put aside pride and arrogance, and choose to humbly serve the nation.

MORNING

PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.

THE WORSHIP OF THE WORK
 
“Labourers together with God.” 1 Cor. iii. 9
 
Beware of any work for God which enables you to evade concentration on Him. A great many Christian workers worship their work. The one concern of a worker should be concentration on God, and this will mean that all the other margins of life, mental, moral and spiritual, are free with the freedom of a child, a worshipping child, not a wayward child. A worker without this solemn dominant note of concentration on God is apt to get his work on his neck; there is no margin of body, mind or spirit free, consequently he becomes spent out and crushed. There is no freedom, no delight in life; nerves, mind and heart are so crushingly burdened that God’s blessing cannot rest. But the other side is just as true – when once the concentration is on God, all the margins of life are free and under the dominance of God alone. There is no responsibility on you for the work; the only responsibility you have is to keep in living constant touch with God, and to see that you allow nothing to hinder your co-operation with Him. The freedom after sanctification is the freedom of a child, the things that used to keep the life pinned down are gone. But be careful to remember that you are freed for one thing only – to be absolutely devoted to your co-Worker.
 
We have no right to judge where we should be put, or to have preconceived notions as to what God is fitting us for. God engineers everything; wherever He puts us our one great aim is to pour out a whole-hearted devotion to Him in that particular work. “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.”

Good morning, dear Treepers. Praying for God’s Blessings upon all dear souls perched in these branches.

The worshipers of false idols. Climate Change Cult on the march.

Sending a prayer up for The Phoenix this morning. Really love Phoenix’s pictures of the Ohio scenery. What a bright spot to the day Phoenix is.

Miss the posts and praying the Lord covers Phoenix’s person, mind, and fortitude. I pray His Healing and restoration for the ecology and environment in Phoenix’s home state. I pray He miraculously cleanses the water and heals the animals, birds, flora, and fauna.

Terrible what happened to East Palestine and must have been a difficult experience with such a blight affecting the scenery Phoenix loves. We will not forget.

I know Phoenix knows The Lord and whatever Phoenix is experiencing, I pray He reminds Phoenix of His deep love and abiding, faithful, protection and mercy. I pray His Miracles are new every day for Phoenix
