‎4/‎20/‎2023 – Be Strong And Of Good Courage

Joshua 10:25 “And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom you fight.” 

How many places in the Bible does the LORD tell us to be strong and of a good courage? And how many times does He tell us to “pray for courage?” Courage is faith in action against fear and unbelief! Jesus told us, that the reason we cannot cast out demons is because of our unbelief, and lack of prayer and fasting. For He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt us; but then He said, “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

We have Moses and the prophets; we have the New Testament and the Psalms; we have libraries full of books, of teaching and history and the victorious testimonies of so many thousands of the saints of Jesus: what are we waiting for now? Moses and the prophets aren’t here; we are here! King David and his mighty men are not here; we are here! Jesus is in glory at the Father’s right hand, interceding for His saints who are in the earth; and His holy apostles, and all the Christians of this age who are now with Him in heaven, all wait for the fullness of time, when the Father shall send Jesus and all the holy angels with Him to take possession of His kingdom. What are we waiting for, that we still haven’t taken all that He has given for our success and overcoming? I’m talking about real fellowship in the Spirit, and the entire community of Believers exercising their particular gifts of the Spirit, all the members equally vital and needed for the whole. There is certainly a time and place for sitting and listening to a pastor or teacher speak to the whole congregation; but that is not the sum total of what the Lord has made the church to be. But we have inherited the ways and systems and structures that our parents had handed down by tradition to them; a “system of religion and church” which was not the Judaeo Christian model, but the Roman Pseudo-Christian design of a questionable experience of Constantine; who as a matter of fact; did not repent of, nor forsake at all, his Pagan religion. but forced by the power of his authority as emperor, all the population into his version of the church. And that’s the short version of what happened; and why the difference between us today, and those at the beginning.

I really don’t believe that most Christians are content with the watered down and faded out experience they have today; but most don’t know what to do about it: where to start, and how to change. My idea, is that even on this simple place where so many nice people have addicted themselves to socializing; maybe some would like to try if we can do “virtually” what they had at the beginning. We really don’t have much time; as I’m sure most of us here feel the same; the Lord has His finger on the curtain, and it will all happen very quickly. I just want us, whoever else might feel the same as me, to really try to be what Jesus wants us to be for this last time.

Will it take a worldwide disaster, and the ascent of the Antichrist to his throne over the whole world, for the heat to get hot enough for the church to prove what kind they are? 

Jeremiah 12:5 “If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein you trusted, they wearied you, then how will you do in the swelling of Jordan?” We have an opportunity, even in these last (we don’t know how long) days, before the wicked one makes himself known and takes his appointed place as the devil’s king over all the earth; we have an opportunity to band together as brothers and sisters in the Lord and give ourselves wholly to the work.

Pretty pictures and religious icons and cozy kissing on one another, will not hold us up in the day our soul is required; and they do not make true fellowship now. In Malachi 3:16, after he had prophesied concerning the judgment of God upon the false religion of the people, and spoke directly against their sins; it says, that “Then they that feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon His Name.”

As we are watching all these things taking shape, right before our eyes; and as very many of us know from reading our Bibles, what these things mean; why are we not talking to each other about the Scriptures and the judgments God has given us about them? Reading and “liking” is fine; and I’m thankful if I can add anything to encourage others to be on fire for Jesus; but I do believe, that we will look back at these times, and wonder, how did we not know how important they were? and how did we not recognize the preciousness of fellowship, as God intended it to be?

I think that much of the time, some of us feel like a voice crying in the wilderness; for who is out there to hear or answer? Faults and shortcomings can all be overcome by love and Christian kindness, and taking a decided position of holding true to the Holy Spirit and the word of God. What one has from the Lord, is for the benefit of the whole body. A hand cannot be a hand by itself, without being connected to the arm and the rest of the body. I need everyone here; and I believe, that everyone here needs me too; just because Jesus has loved me and saved me and made me your brother, unworthy as I am.

Good morning all.

Happy with the chores I got done yesterday. Steve and Betty and I mowed all at the same time yesterday. When the 5 acres are all mowed it looks like a well maintained park. Gave the mowers a good spring cleaning to get them ready for a tune ups, oil changes, and blade changes. I have a blades for each already sharpened and balanced. Did some other stuff outside around the house too. It was a beautiful day.

Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.  – Hebrews 10:24

Jesus spoke in the Sermon on the Mount about people being anxious and worried about physical things in life – what they would eat or drink, or clothing they would wear. He told them not to be anxious, “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, yet, I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these” (Matthew 6:28-29). 

“Consider,” Jesus said. It means to observe, to study, to look at closely. Today’s verse uses the same word, but the writer references what you are to do in the congregation of faith. The thought of some believers, when they assemble with others, is how it will benefit themselves or what they will personally get out of the service or prayer meeting. The meaning of “consider” carries a responsibility for you.  

Observe and be attentive to those with whom you worship. Many will have a need that might only be shared if you take the time to sincerely ask about their welfare and purposefully listen. Others may be in the midst of temptation or trial and need encouragement to lean on God to stand strong against the evil one.  

“Consider” is a call to support others in their commitment to God, to love one another more, to inspire a life of holiness, and to stir up one another to a life of being loving and helpful to others. In today’s times, those in positions of authority in this nation need the same encouragement. Assure them of your prayers for them to make decisions based on the truth and God’s Word.

The lies the Climate Scam tell are recycled on a regular basis complete with fake graphs and data and projections by models that have already been proven to have no predictive ability.

In fact when you see the weasel words such as may, might, could, etc. used in articles and papers on climate, your most likely reading projections based on computer modeling. Virtually all the doomsday BS you read in climate articles and papers is based on computer modeling. Such models are no better than that data and formulas put into them. And they are all based on our obviously very limited knowledge of nature and its natural processes.

They are trying to predict the actions of a seemingly chaotic system which is always striving to obtain a balance that can never be achieved. In this seemingly chaotic system there are variables which are either unknown or are so complex in their interactions or which we have a very limited to predict the variations, that they are ignored. Clouds/cloud cover and solar variance are examples of two variables which the climate models the IPCC use have ignored or IOW entered no values for them in their calculations.

As you may recall I explained how glaciers calving ice bergs is a sign that there is still snow falling in the recharge/regeneration zone providing the mass to push the snow and ice below down hill towards the sea.

Now a little information on sea ice. First off the melting of any ice in or on the water has virtually no effect on sea levels because it is already in the water. One can demonstrate this at home. Fill a glass to the rim with ice cubes then set it on the counter and add water until the water is to the rim. leave it there and let all the ice melt. Does the water overflow the rim of the glass? NO it does not. What moisture there is on the outside of the glass is condensation.

There is a bit of a difference though in nature because the ice is floating on/in salt water. Salt water is denser than freshwater. Icebergs are freshwater and the older the ice the more it has been compacted. The different colored strata seen in icebergs come from impurities such as volcanic ash, minerals, and organic matter such as plankton etc.

Icebergs come from two basic sources. Glaciers and Ice shelves, both of which are formed by snowfall turning into ice over time by the pressure of the snow continuing to build up it and thawing and refreezing.

Sea ice however is formed when seawater is frozen. As the seawater freezes the salt ions are forced out into the unfrozen water or trapped in brine cells within the ice. The extent, thickness, and volume of sea ice is greatly effected by the weather. Wind and wave action have a lot to do with where sea ice builds up and how much there is, and the area it covers. And thus sea ice is not a good proxy for determining changes in air or water temperature for the purpose of climatology. But you sure won’t hear the alarmist climate scientists tell you that.

Our Lord must be repeatedly astounded at us – astounded at how un-simple we are. It is opinions of our own which make us stupid, when we are simple we are never stupid, we discern all the time. Philip expected the revelation of a tremendous mystery, but not in the One Whom he knew. The mystery of God is not in what is going to be, it is now; we look for it presently, in some cataclysmic event. We have no reluctance in obeying Jesus, but it is probable that we are hurting Him by the questions we ask. “Lord, show us the Father.” His answer comes straight back – “There He is, always here or nowhere.” We look for God to manifest Himself to His children: God only manifest Himself IN His children. Other people see the manifestation, the child of God does not. We want to be conscious of God; we cannot be conscious of our consciousness and remain sane. If we are asking God to give us experiences, or if conscious experience is in the road, we hurt the Lord. The very questions we ask hurt Jesus because they are not the questions of a child. 
 
“Let not your heart be troubled” – then am I hurting Jesus by allowing my heart to be troubled? If I believe the character of Jesus, am I living up to my belief? Am I allowing anything to perturb my heart, any morbid questions to come in? I have to get to the implicit relationship that takes everything as it comes from Him. God never guides presently, but always now. Realize that the Lord is here NOW, and the emancipation is immediate.

Geisha is now putting Buckley in his place. As I write this Geisha is sleeping at my feet as has been the custom long before Buckley came. For the first few days after Buckley came Geisha did not do this but this morning after they had both gone out and done their business Geisha came in here and let Buckley know that she was taking her spot.

That’s great as far as I’m concerned. Geisha girl has seniority and Buckley needs to be taught his limits. I look forward to the day when they are both in here with me as I write and I am confident that will happen.

Lord, please send us some rain north of Tampa! My neighbor has a 6 ft circumference depression at the back of their 2 acres near the canal also we are one flicked cigarette butt or dry lightning strike away from this are going up in a puff of smoke. This area is either a dust bowl or a mud pit as the porous limestone base layer draws the water through the sand of the ancient river bed that we live on top of. The thirsty ground is drying out my gardens.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.

When Jesus raised his eyes and saw that a large crowd was coming to him, he said to Philip, “Where can we buy enough food for them to eat?” He said this to test him, because he himself knew what he was going to do. Philip answered him, “Two hundred days’ wages worth of food would not be enough for each of them to have a little.” One of his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, said to him, “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish; but what good are these for so many?” Jesus said, “Have the people recline.” Now there was a great deal of grass in that place. So the men reclined, about five thousand in number. Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed them to those who were reclining, and also as much of the fish as they wanted. When they had had their fill, he said to his disciples, “Gather the fragments left over, so that nothing will be wasted.” So they collected them, and filled twelve wicker baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves that had been more than they could eat. When the people saw the sign he had done, they said, “This is truly the Prophet, the one who is to come into the world.” Since Jesus knew that they were going to come and carry him off to make him king, he withdrew again to the mountain alone.
