Officials Move to Seize Land from American Farmers to Advance Green Agenda – Slay News

“Tennessee government officials have moved to seize land from American farmers in an effort to meet the goals of Democrat President Joe Biden’s green agenda.

The state is suing to confiscate farmland just west of Memphis that will be repurposed to build a new multi-billion dollar electric vehicle (EV) plant. Ford Motor Company has announced plans to build a $5.6 billion electric truck and battery plant to be built in the rural area of Tennessee.

Officials in Tennessee are so eager to bend over backward to comply with the green agenda that the state is prepared to seize land from black farmers in order to facilitate Ford’s EV project. Here’s a bit of the legislative contortions that led to the decision to build “Blue Oval City” in the Volunteer State, as reported by Reason:

“In return for picking Tennessee, state lawmakers overwhelmingly approved legislation that would grant Ford $884 million in state incentives.

It can also take privately-owned land, via eminent domain, in order to facilitate construction of the facility and supporting infrastructure.”

Eminent domain could not be more antithetical to the American concept of the primacy of private property.

Eminent domain refers to the authority claimed by the government and its agents to seize private property for public use. The land can be taken against the will of the landowner provided the owner receives “just compensation” for his property.

Supporters of this scheme point to the Fifth Amendment as the authority. The relevant part of the Fifth Amendment reads:

[“…N]or shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.” …….

The government is suing private property owners and asking the judiciary to collude with them. The move seeks to deny to the landowners the most basic benefit of government: the protection of the right of private property.

One of the landowners being targeted by the state government is Marvin Sanderlin, a longtime local farmer with 400 acres. According to court documents, the state is planning to seize 10 acres of his land.

Tennessee officials are determined to keep their $884 million promise to Ford and comply with Biden’s green agenda. To meet these goals, however, will mean destroying the very thing the government was instituted by people to protect: the right to property.”…….

In the ‘Kelo’ Decision, the Supreme Court gutted the Takings Clause. It had always been held that ‘public use’ meant highways, infrastructure, parks, libraries or government buildings–not the seizure and transfer of private property from one private owner to another, but government-preferred, private owner.

Justice Thomas:

“Long ago, William Blackstone wrote that “the law of the land…postpones even public necessity to the sacred and inviolable rights of private property.” The Framers embodied that principle in the Constitution, allowing the government to take property not for “public necessity,” but instead for “public use”.

Defying this understanding, the Court replaces the Public Use Clause with a ‘Public Purpose’ Clause (or perhaps the “Diverse and Always Evolving Needs of Society” Clause), a restriction that is satisfied, the Court instructs, so long as the purpose is “legitimate” and the means “not irrational”. This deferential shift in phraseology enables the Court to hold, against all common sense, that a costly urban-renewal project whose stated purpose is a vague promise of new jobs and increased tax revenue, but which is also suspiciously agreeable to the Pfizer Corporation, is for a “public use”. I cannot agree.

If such “economic development” takings are for a “public use”, any taking is, and the Court has erased the Public Use Clause from our Constitution. 

I do not believe that this Court can eliminate liberties expressly enumerated in the Constitution and therefore join her dissenting opinion. Regrettably, however, the Court’s error runs deeper than this. Today’s decision is simply the latest in a string of our cases construing the Public Use Clause to be a virtual nullity, without the slightest nod to its original meaning. This would contradict a bedrock principle well established by the time of the founding: that all takings required the payment of compensation.

The most natural reading of the Clause is that it allows the government to take property only if the government owns, or the public has a legal right to use the property, as opposed to taking it for any public purpose or necessity whatsoever. The Public Use Clause, in short, embodied the Framers’ understanding that property is a natural, fundamental right, prohibiting the government from “taking property from A and giving it to B.”

Something has gone seriously awry with this Court’s interpretation of the Constitution. Though citizens are safe from the government in their homes, the homes themselves are not. Obliterating a provision of the Constitution, of course, guarantees that it will not be misapplied.

The conflict of principle raised by this boundless use of the eminent domain power should be resolved in petitioners’ favor. I would reverse the judgment of the Connecticut Supreme Court.”…….

In ‘Kelo’, Connecticut confiscated and tore down Susan Kelo’s house, but Pfizer never came through with the re-development they promised. Thus private property was razed and the Constitution was raped–for nothing. 

And now Tennessee wants to hand Marvin Sanderlin’s farmland over to Ford Motor Company so it can build glorified golf carts using Chinee battery technology, thus helping the Obiden Junta shoehorn Americans into these clown cars for their ChiCom owners. 

BTW, they’re also preventing the power plants needed to power the golf carts. And the Feds will control the ignition switch–just in case you’ve had too much to think. It’s no accident that the satanic Occupation Government has recently whipped up a Smear Campaign on him, either.

The Court illegally amended the Constitution to say “Public Purpose” instead of “Public Use”. Well, guess what? A Public Purpose can be the Prevention of Bad Hair Days. Or ‘Gender Equity’. Or ‘Environmental Justice’. PUBLIC PURPOSE CAN BE ANY DAMN THING THE GOVERNMENT WANTS. IT IS A TOTALITARIAN BLANK CHECK WRITTEN ON SOMEONE ELSE’S ACCOUNT.

Anyway, I’d like to bring up an important point rarely touched upon even by anti-establishment media: China isn’t the aggressor in the Taiwan crisis, we are.

When Taiwan was established, it was intended to be a temporary placeholder for the old Republic of China led by Sun Yat-sen and Chiang Kai-Shek. The end goal was Chinese re-unification, not permanent independence. However, the Taiwanese government has since been hijacked by CIA-aligned subversives who want to not only make Taiwan permanently independent, but also – in order to keep it that way – impose a “soft Cultural Revolution” which would abolish the country’s traditional “Chinese” identity and replace it with a woke “Taiwanese” one.

China sees these developments as a grave threat, and for good reason. The Deep State has long expressed its desire to dismantle China into a bunch of smaller states which could be easily controlled, and Taiwan is the experiment designed to prove whether such a venture would be feasible. If the CIA succeeds in fundamentally transforming Taiwan and securing its independence, then its next move WILL be to spark separatist rebellions in the Mainland; these rebels would undoubtedly resort to mass killings in order to achieve their goals. The end result of course would be tens of millions if not hundreds of millions dead, with China and its neighbors being in the same kind of chaos we saw in the Middle East following the Arab Spring, if not worse.

THIS is what is currently at stake, and we need to put our feet down NOW.

I just tripped across this really cool LIVE version of Melanie singing Lay Down (candles in the rain) with the Edwin Hawkins singers. In the preamble interview, Melanie explains how she was inspired to write the song after attending Woodstock. Her lyric describing how everyone was so close (physically) that we bled into each others wounds is a powerful image. And even MORE than the imagery … I believe it is what God calls all humans to do … that we bleed when our neighbors bleed … that we share a closeness that literally heals each other.

Our world and our country is desperate for that healing and that human contact now. Say what you want about the Hippies and Woodstock and the 60’s counterculture … but there was a spirituality to it. Melanie actually understood the spirituality of the words and music she penned by insisting the song needed the vocal backing of a Gospel choir. We all need a new Woodstock a gathering of people who are so physically close, so connected to the earth, so spiritually connected that we become more than isolated individuals. Inotherwords … we need to find the exact opposite of what the government did to us based on the LIE that they were “saving us” from COVID. We need to come together again to find our God-inspired relationships. The ghouls in our disembodied government are still driving wedges between us. We need to come together again … so close … that we bleed into each others wounds. So poetic. So true. So necessary.

Trump’s assault on the foreign-policy status quo is all the more remarkable for the near total lack of literature discussing it. Here is a very brief sketch of what he did: Trump ordered the withdrawal of one-third of all US military personnel from Germany, which is a central fulcrum for the entire American imperial project. The 40 German military installations housing US troops support American military operations in 104 countries and contain an estimated 150 nuclear weapons; among other projects, the military’s Africa Command is headquartered in Germany. Trump also ordered the Pentagon to explore withdrawing troops from South Korea, which plays a similar role to that of Germany as a central, high-tech node of US power projection throughout the entire East-Asian region.

Trump likewise drew down the US military role in Syria, even as the foreign-policy establishment urged him to overthrow Bashar al-Assad. He withdrew troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, refused to escalate in Libya, and withdrew almost all US special forces from Somalia. In the rest of Africa, he mused about closing all US embassies—important nodes of Central Intelligence Agency operations.

On the economic and diplomatic front, Trump pursued similar anti-imperial policies. He repeatedly talked about withdrawing from NATO entirely. He insulted European leaders to their faces while he became buddies with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. He pulled the plug on the Trans Pacific Partnership, which was to have been the mother of all free-trade agreements and the centerpiece of the “pivot to Asia” sought by Barack Obama. He renegotiated the North American Free Trade Agreement after having first attempted to scrap the whole thing unilaterally.

At every turn, Trump’s foreign-policy staff sabotaged his efforts. On two occasions, a top economic adviser stole documents while they were awaiting a presidential signature; one would have destroyed a trade agreement with South Korea, the other would have simply killed NAFTA. When Trump ordered the withdrawal of troops from Germany and South Korea, his defense secretary, Mark Esper, worked diligently to redeploy many of these personnel within the same theater. Such internal opposition limited Trump’s moves and helped the press play down the importance of Trump’s anti-imperial foreign policy.

I got back on mainly for faith reasons rather than politics, and I may well get off again given what I see. Anyway, the bots. If you go through a tweet thread you will invariably see leftist taunt posts from brand new accounts with just a couple of followers. Has anyone tracked down exactly where they are coming from?

I know several weeks ago SD noticed an avalanche of nameless brand new accounts that spontaneously showed up as followers of his one day, as if it was an army set in position waiting to be mobilized. Did he ever find out anything more about it? Is that related to the bots we see?
