A scene super similar to this actually happened in real life in my house. I owned a cat that looked just like this, and a parakeet that looked just like this. The cat was allowed the run of the basement and passage in and outdoors. The bird was allowed the run of the living room. Once, somebody forgot to check that the bird was in her cage while the cat came through. I had to physically intervene to save the bird. The cat was not happy. So yes, this picture resonates!

The Climatnistas would take that beautiful image and claim it is a picture of the symptoms of “Climate Change” and foretells the disasters to come because of humans warming this world. When it is in fact an indication of the exact opposite.
For icebergs to calf there must be a build up of ice in the glacier’s regeneration zone that is pushing the river of ice and snow down to and then out into the sea. There are other factors involved, such as lubricity resulting from the meltwater lubricating the flow of the ice over the rock, but in the end without the mass in the regeneration zone being pushed downhill by gravity, the calving of icebergs would slow and eventually stop.
When you read or hear the BS about the Greenland Ice sheet melting just remember this. The bottom line is Sea Level Rise! Where is the water? Where is the spike in sea levels? After a period of radical changes due to several episodes of the breaking of ice dams and dumping of millions of tons of cold fresh water into the seas, Sea levels have been rising at more or less a steady rate since the end of the last major glacial period.
For the last 40+ years they have been predicting catastrophic melting causing sea levels to rise relatively quickly and flood the lower lying coastal cities and shores. And for 40+ years it hasn’t happened and there are no indications that it is about to happen. And those who have not succumbed to the propaganda understand that, as indicated by the continued investment and development along the shores and the ever rising values of those properties.

Okay … here’s my 2¢ on the topic:
1) Climate change (global warming) is real and is being helped along by mankind.
2) Alarmists don’t see it as a good thing and use it to try to rouse the public to a panic … ask for the elite’s help in saving the planet (as though the planet needs saving).
3) The public’s not buying what the alarmists are selling … why should they, when Horny Gore and Barack & Mike have beachfront properties?
4) Perhaps mankind was placed here to fix a double whammy problem of nature … first, the opening of the ocean between South America and Antarctica which created the circumpolar current, blocking Antarctica from the moderating influences of the rest of the planet … and, second, the smashing into the Eurasian landmass by the island of India several million years ago, which saw the rise of regular major monsoons which gradually, over the course of centuries, washed CO² out of the atmosphere. It was these two major events that gave rise to the current multi-million-year ice age, which ebb and flow every several hundred thousands of years from extreme to moderate.
5) If mankind is allowed to continue to thrive and prosper (spare us from the tyranny of the New Green Deal), over the next several centuries, by using so-called fossil fuels, we can raise the CO² levels enough to moderate the planet, making life much more pleasant for all of nature’s creatures. Yes, some may go extinct in a warmer climate; but not mentioned is that new species may arise to take advantage of a more moderate climate.
6) So, to mix science and religion … perhaps our creator place mankind here with a purpose in mind … to moderate the harsh climate of the ice age and retore a pleasant climate (the Garden of Eden??).
You can also bet that when the elites call for us to make sacrifices to change our way of life and save the planet, the only thing they intend to do is to be the collector of sacrifices, while people suffer in silences and the elites live out their lives in mansions.
The Climate on this planet has been changing ever since it has had an atmosphere. But the human emissions of CO2 are miniscule compared natures.
The sun and the oceans are the gorillas in the room when it comes to climate.
The oceans are by far the greatest carbon sinks on the planet. When their waters warm they do not absorb or retain as much CO2. You can demonstrate this to yourself in your own home. Which loses it’s CO2 quicker? A refrigerated can of soda or a can of soda at room temperature. Or, why does a warm beer foam more than a cold one when opened?
It is physically impossible for CO2 to warm the planet. According to the quantum physics, it is impossible for it to do so.
CO2 molecules cannot store heat. Albert Einstein made that clear.
CO2 molecules do not re-emit absorbed surface radiation.
And besides that, water vapor, by far the most plentiful “green house gas” in the atmosphere and much more efficient at absorbing radiation than CO2, covers over 80% of the spectrum of radiation that CO2 can absorb.
The warming of the oceans not only increases the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, it also increases the amount of water vapor. Higher water temperature = less energy required for evaporation.
Water retains thermal energy/heat 98% better than air. So a largest portion of the answer to the question of what is causing the warming the atmosphere comes down to answering the question of what is warming the oceans?
Solar insolation at the equator is 2.5 times greater than that at the poles. Thus the vast majority of the warming of the waters by the sun occurs in the tropics. That warm water is transported via the various currents, such as the Gulf Stream, towards the poles. The atmosphere at the poles is considerably thinner than at the equator and thus it the area where the largest amount of thermal energy escapes back into space. But increased water vapor inhibits this process.
The winter time temperatures in the Arctic circle have been warming, but the summer time temperatures have remained at or below the 30 year mean for year after year. Why? Water vapor and not CO2!
But solar insolation has not changed enough to account for nearly the extent of warming of the oceans we see. So what is warming the waters of the oceans? My primary candidate is Abyssal Geothermal activity. But that is an area of research the IPCC and most governments do not wish to fund. The IPCC does not even consider it in their reports.
But no matter what the cause of ocean warming, find the answer to that question and you find the primary answer to the reason for our atmosphere warming.

My Caturday began about 4:01 AM when my Bengal/Abyssinian male who did not make it inside at “Last Call” squared off with the neighborhood bully tomcat on the front walkway. By the time I fought the blankets off and made it out front with my pitbull/Rhodesian ridgeback mix on my heels, there were just patches of fur left on the concrete walkway. I am going to snag that feral with a wire raccoon trap and take him across the river on the john boat and turn him loose. If that burly cuss can make it back across the alligator prone waterways over to my side I just might set him out a bowl of food.

Paxlovid is marketed as the new Ivermectin. Everything I’ve read says otherwise, and may lead to repeat Covid incidences. Many articles by such as Dr McCullough and Dr Malone.
My daughter was prescribed it and I told her under no circumstances should she take it. I had Ivermectin horse paste which I got off Amazon (apple flavoured). She started on that and after two days was symptomless and feeling whole.
My story only. But as Pfizer make it, I can say for me and mine ?? Absolutely no.
(Elderberry chewable are antiviral by the way, we take them every day prophylactically).

A liquid expectorant like Mucinex cold and flue (even 1/4 dose) with the steam may help with breathing;
-IF, of course , she can rake that kind of medication!

-Wipe foot with real warm wash cloth , dampen hands, apply a lotion or oil to hands

pretend it’s your foot😊.
When that foot is like putty (ahhh) , do the other one.

This is me and my beloved, still hanging in there. I wanted to say hello before I head out to see what next. The stent surgery was textbook, and when I spoke to him in ICU he sounded better than I’ve heard him in a long while. As I said yesterday, prayer is medicine in itself. One cannot overdose on it. So once more with deep feeling, I profusely thank every precious friend for their words of love, support and faith. I believe the miraculous turn around from Monday last is due entirely to every single prayer. I love you all!!

A story of one of those “coincidences” that aren’t.
On Tuesday when I was so worried, I was trying to find my way to my husband’s room which was buried somewhere in the behemoth hospital complex where he still is. I had no idea where to enter, but after parking saw a door indicating that was the one.
I got inside the first one but discovered the second was by access card only. I knew I needed to ask someone for directions but outside there was no one…absolutely no one. Just parking garages and acreage and highways, no human being in sight…
However, as Frank said long ago in the first post of his I read…But God!!
Suddenly a solitary man in a white coat appeared, walking towards those doors. He told me where the hospital opening was but graciously let me in and escorted me down two long corridors to the proper elevator. And while we were walking I attempted some idle banter and mentioned why I was there and that my surgeon father had performed many ops such as my husband would undergo. He was pleasant, listening, and on parting wished us the best.
Tue next day when the surgery took place I waited in the room for the phone call which would give me I hoped good news. As I was speaking to the surgeon and thanking him, again I mentioned my dad and how much I appreciated the kindness and skill which brought my husband through what turned out be a more serious, not routine operation. On the other end of the phone?
Dead silence, not a word.
And then this surgeon said to me, “I was the guy who let you in the building yesterday.” And we both broke out into laughter at the sheer unbelievable “not coincidence”.
I’ve had chills before, but never such as those which went down my spine. I knew then all would be well, that Almighty God, the Great Healer of us all, physically and spiritually, had my husband in the palm of his hand. I can think no other way.
I am sorry the story was so long, but I had to tell to my family here. That hospital employs thousands…
What are the chances? I suspect I know…🙏🏻💕
Great story, Bet. Thanks for posting. What were the odds that you would encounter your husband’s surgeon in that huge hospital—especially when you consider the number of surgeries going on at the same time in that complex of thousands? I don’t think it was coincidence, either.
I’d mentioned a bit earlier that I had the same surgery in ’07. Repairing an aortic aneurysm is never an easy surgery—they can take hours to successfully complete. It was only several years after my successful surgery that I found out that the mortality rate for such surgeries is about 1 out of 4. And I just thought the nursing staff were just extraordinarily nice people. They knew, of course.
Good doctrin’ brought your husband (and you) through a very touchy, very dangerous time. Every time I talked to my cardiologist or my surgeons (there were 2) I made a point of thanking them for saving my life.
Be well, darlin’. You guys will be home soon. When I walked through my front door, having just left the hospital, the sense of relief at just being home was enormous. Hope it will be for you too. 🙂
Oh, dear Garrison, I read every post over the last few days but was so worn out. I wanted to reply to every single one as is only right when one receives what we did from beloved family. But try as I might my energy was depleted and no words would come. I posted hearts to everyone late late last night and so I pray they were seen.
Yes, I did read about your surgery. Scary. It’s one thing to read about it, entirely another to be the person going through it or the one waiting to hear how it went. His was abdominal not thoracic, I doubt there is more risk for one than the other. Four hours. When I spoke to him almost immediately after he said the Lord Jesus wasn’t through with him yet.
His brother in Christ, a man he worked with for many years and who felt the calling to become a deacon in the Catholic Church took time out from his very hectic Holy Week duties to come see him and to bless him twice and the cross he always wears with Holy Water, and to bless his surgeon and all who assisted. He kept taking his free moments between duties to enquire, and when I told him what my husband had said, he said, “Well, we’re not through with him yet either.” And like your nursing staff, his have been angels. God eternally bless them every one.
And finally, like you, I have been sincerely effusive with my thanks as well. He doesn’t have his phone but said he would let me know where they move him today from ICU (where the RN told him he didn’t belong) but no word yet…so I’ll go phone to hunt him down😊. And yes…hopefully he’ll be home soon. He said he’s gasping for a proper cup of tea. Being British, he would say that though…😎💕

Two times we’ve been told the hospital can’t make sense of why rooms are hard to come by. They said this is normally their least busy time of year.
His breathing is not good and hasn’t been for ages, but unless he can do without oxygen, they’re keeping him. He wasn’t on it before he went in, so we wait….🙏🏻

Now that I think about it, Bet, I stayed in the hospital about 4-5 days before I could go home. Hope you get the room assignment soon, love.
I just spoke to him. His breathing was not good before he went in and since has worsened, no surprise. Until he can walk without oxygen (which he has never used at home) they won’t release him. It will be a long haul I’m afraid. But yes, on the day he is home, it will be wonderful😘

ask if your husband may have a therapeutic by hand foot massage.
Honestly… , sometimes that is offered at hospitals for various procedures.
Try it. It helps with so many ( mind and) bodily functions. 💖

Yes, that’s exactly right. I had to bring his inhalers home, which doesn’t help at all. We got a thing at home here which we bought on Amazon. Comes with three sized balls to choose from, placing one in a sort of inhaler thingy. It was reasonable and exactly like the but
more expensive one. And yes, it does make a difference.👍🏻

As for the kiddo, she turned in early tonight. We were going to try to take a road trip to the cathedral in St Louis which is 3.5 hours from us and they were having an 8 pm service, but another friend was in hospital for a heart arrhythmia… so we stuck close to home in case a need arose with him. He’s one of my clients from work but doesn’t have family… so we are just on standby if he needs anything.
Daughter is good and looking forward to new job. Her name is “Savannah” by the way. We had a nice day and baked my mothers traditional coconut Easter Bunny cake from scratch. Messed up the stabilized whipped cream frosting so had to opt for cream cheese… way toooo sweet. But passable. Lamb tomorrow for dinner. Her favorite.

When I first landed in Britain I wondered why their eclairs didnt have a sweet French cream feeling. Their biscuits (cookies to us) seemed to short sheet the sugar as well. When I came back and had a cookie or any other dessert, the taste of sugar was overwhelming. Cloying. It’s a fine line and certainly to taste. Wish I had a piece right now!😍

So, true! I remember drives with my mother and sister searching for bluebonnet fields. You have to have the right music on the radio, too. My mother loved the classical music station. I remember hearing Gershwin and Chopin on those drives.
