The truth about ALL that’s going on in the world right now is in the Bible. There is a reason why all these things are coming on the world; God doesn’t let evil go on forever, and for the countries and the people which have had the most given to them, of having the Bible and the knowledge of Jesus; and have rebelled with such insolence, and have done horrific sin; the day of reckoning is inevitable. For the ones who keep God’s commandments, and hold on to their faith in Jesus, this is the hour of our patient endurance. For He that is coming, will certainly come; and He knows every one who trusts in Him.
I’d like to address your post in a meaningful way because this indictment and all the negative energy has me wanting to hate also. BUT…..
God is never wrong and he says “love conquers all” hang your hat on that truth first before being engulfed in hate. Hate blinds you and yes it is a focused response to accomplish justice as you see it. BUT…. is there a better way?
This I know God is in control and you may expel your influence on others to accomplish something you see as right, just like these democrats are doing right now, or keep your head above it all and listen to God.
What is their purpose? Why are they pushing so adamantly for war in this country? IMO they can influence us to tear ourselves apart and this nation but they cannot destroy this nation themselves unless we participate. They will then gain the people and place a new government over us all, and the mobs will beg for it.
This is not a complete country of haters it’s a few in key places that rot the whole. 2 choices! Easiest is remove the rot but if we are not citizens in agreement they will be replaced, by they that is their intentions a complete country of confusion to rule over.
The other choice is much harder unless we all agree to achieve the goal. Convert our nation back to a citizenship of educated believers, or an overwhelming majority, so the rot will have no effect but will be quarantined by our populace.
It used to be that way, trannys were expelled. Homosexuality was shunned. Thieves were not worshipped.

It’s a shameful day for America as former President Donald Trump was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury. The Democrats have weaponized the legal system for their political gain while ignoring the current Administration’s faults and deficiencies. There’s only One who can save this country, and that is God and God alone. Why should He even hear our prayers when we have turned our back on Him? But I’m going to keep praying that God will intervene and save this nation so we will continue to be that beacon of hope for this very dark world.

Thank you for asking! The scan showed a low pot becoming active so we had another lung biopsy on Tuesday. Now we are waiting for the results. The previous 3 cancer spots that got the radiation 3 months ago are behaving.
That should have been another spot, not a low pot. Autocorrect strikes again. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 😂
Oh, I was going to have to totally google that! I thought it was some new med term to learn. Glad to hear the 3 spots are behaving – that’s a step in the right direction. Will continue to pray for this latest round of biopsy results.

I believe that the intercessory prayer on President Trump’s behalf worked when he was to be “arrested on Tuesday”. Now, that the evildoers deem necessary to continue the charade and threaten this man once again… I believe that the Lord Will hear and answer our prayers again. Let no weapon formed against him prosper, in Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, AMEN! We know fully what we are all up against. Different Christian traditions have different ways of teaching about sanctification – the process of improvement in the behavior and life of the believer.
I appreciate the clarity and simplicity of what Martin Luther wrote about the subject:
“What I have hitherto and constantly taught concerning this I know not how to change in the least, namely, that by faith, as St. Peter says, we acquire a new and clean heart, and God will and does account us entirely righteous and holy for the sake of Christ, our Mediator. And although sin in the flesh has not yet been altogether removed or become dead, yet He will not punish or remember it.
“And such faith, renewal, and forgiveness of sins is followed by good works. And what there is still sinful or imperfect also in them shall not be accounted as sin or defect, and that too, for Christ’s sake; but the entire man, both as to his person and his works, is to be called and to be righteous and holy from pure grace and mercy, shed upon us and spread over us in Christ.
“Therefore we cannot boast of many merits and works, if they are viewed apart from grace and mercy, but as it is written, 1 Cor. 1:31: He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord, namely, that he has a gracious God. For thus all is well.
“We say, besides, that if good works do not follow, faith is false and not true.”
“And although sin in the flesh has not yet been altogether removed or become dead, yet He will not punish or remember it.”
Really, Martin Luther? That is just plain a lie from the devil! God will absolutely punish sin in His people FIRST! How can He be righteous to condemn the unbelievers for sin, when His so-called Believers keep sinning; and worse, they think that God has found a way to no longer think of sin as sin! Those who knew their Master’s will and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with many stripes; and those who knew not, but did those things, will be beaten with few.
What about, “Reckon yourselves to be DEAD INDEED UNTO SIN?” What about, “Sin shall NO LONGER have dominion over you?” What about, “He who sins is of the devil?”
Didn’t Jesus say, “If any man break one of the least of these commandments, and TEACH MEN SO, he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven.?” And how many times did He say, “Go, and SIN NO MORE!”
And of course, as the angel Gabriel said, that the very meaning of His Name, JESUS, “For He shall SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS!”
Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid! How shall we who are dead to sins live any longer therein? (Romans 6) Jesus was manifested to take away our sins, TAKE AWAY OUR SINS! and in Him IS NO SIN! That means, that the power of sin, and the strong man who once held us in darkness and bondage, Jesus has overcome and delivered us COMPLETELY. “Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken to you.”
Proverbs 19:27 “Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causes to err (wander away, be deceived) [away] from the words of knowledge.” The word of God is knowledge, which says we have been set free from the power of sin and Satan, and are now new creations in Christ, born from above, incorruptible seed of the word of God. Repentance for the remission of sins; and conversion for being healed; this is the Glad Tidings of the kingdom of God within us. If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. And the Holy Spirit ONLY comes into a clean heart. Nothing evil or unclean has fellowship with God, until they are washed and cleansed by the blood of the atonement. Forgiveness and healing is for us to not sin any more.
Hi Michael. Luther believed that God saves people from their sins by forgiving them, as well as by helping them, through His grace, to avoid sin. He believed that Christ, “who became sin for us,” paid for the sins of all people, in all times, by His sacrifice. Luther taught that we individual sinners receive the benefit of that gracious payment — life with God here and in eternity — by our faith, which itself is a gift from God.
It is an article of faith for many Christians, perhaps most, that the only human being who never sinned was Jesus Christ. And of course we believe that He was fully God as well as fully man. Luther certainly believed that.
If Christians never sin, it is hard to understand why our Lord would advise us to pray, “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” If the people who pray this, or something like it, never trespass, why ask to be forgiven? It is also hard to understand why Matthew 18 would give detailed instructions for what should be done in the church when one Christian sins agains another.
Michael, you and I simply believe very different things, and we believe them sincerely. That is probably true for most of us here; it just ususlly doesn’t come up. And we get to do that.

What is on God’s mind today? You could think this a pointless question because, after all, “my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD” (Isaiah 55:8). But the reality for a child of the living Creator in the 21st century is that you can know what is on His mind because, through Jesus Christ, the Spirit of God resides with you!
The prophet Isaiah had the challenging honor of speaking to God’s people on His behalf. Again and again, he delivered the same message: “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the water… incline your ear, hear, that your soul may live!” (Isaiah 55:1, 3). God longs to share Himself with His people today, and that is what is on His mind every day!
A large part of your relationship with God takes place in your thought life. God designed you for fellowship with Himself, and He will do much of the work, but you must desire to know Him, not merely what He can do for you. Try this now. Think about one specific characteristic of God, like peace or goodness, and review how it has played out in your life. Tell God about what you think, ask questions, then listen. Soon you will be “talking” with God.
Turn your eyes, and your mind, upon Jesus, think fully upon His wonderful face, and the things of Earth will grow strangely dim, as you ponder His wonder and grace. Intercede for America’s public officials, and pray that they seek to know God better to be better equipped to serve the nation.

Thank you for this! I had to stand up and thank God when I read that. We must guard our heart, for out of it are the issues of life. He is constantly searching our hearts. His life is operating in us. He always does His part. He will do what only He can do, but he will not do what only we can do.
What an astounding fact, that sinners saved by grace, such as we are, once so far off from Him, can serve God by prayer!
It is a great privilege that we can pray for His will to be done on earth. It is yet another thing to be thankful for.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Good morning. We’ve been blessed with getting to watch baby wrens emerge from their nest on our porch and fly away. Mama wren outdid herself with 4 babies. Every other year they come to our porch to nest so this was the third time. It’s such a joy watching the whole process and waiting in anticipation for the babies to emerge.

A Liturgy for Those Flooded by Too Much Information
In a world so wired and interconnected, our anxious hearts are pummeled by an endless barrage of troubling news.
We are daily aware of more grief, O Lord, than we can rightly consider, of more suffering and scandal than we can respond to, of more hostility, hatred, horror, and injustice than we can engage with compassion.
But you, O Jesus, are not disquieted by such news of cruelty and terror and war.
You are neither anxious nor overwhelmed.
You carried the full weight of the suffering of a broken world when you hung upon the cross, and you carry it still.
When the cacophony of universal distress unsettles us, remind us that we are but small and finite creatures,
never designed to carry the vast abstractions of great burdens, for our arms are too short and our strength is too small.
Justice and mercy, healing and redemption, are your great labors.
And yes, it is your good pleasure to accomplish such works through your people, but you have never asked any one of us to undertake more than your grace will enable us to fulfill.
Guard us then from shutting down our empathy or walling off our hearts because of the glut of unactionable misery that floods our awareness.
You have many children in many places around this globe.
Move each of our hearts to compassionately respond to those needs that intersect our actual lives, that in all places your body might be actively addressing the pain and brokenness of this world, each of us liberated and empowered by your Spirit to fulfill the small part of your redemptive work assigned to us.
Give us discernment in the face of troubling news reports.
Give us discernment to know when to pray, when to speak out, when to act, and when to simply shut off our screens and our devices, and to sit quietly in your presence, casting the burdens of this world upon the strong shoulders of the one who alone is able to bear them up.

Fired up about the HRRR 06z run. Bet Tuesdays will be just as impressive. This may be the core of severe season vs averages ( next 10 days) as pattern shift toward eastern trough would limit heart of severe weather season

What Joe is referring to is that already the outlook for Tuesday is showing high convection centered right over Arkansas with a 30% chance of severe weather. That is the next bout of severe weather we’re going to have to watch.
After that the pattern will flip with warmer weather in the west and cooler weather in the east and that should shut down or at least limit the severe weather out breaks for most of the central and eastern US with the exception of the Texas for a period.
So hang in there, because there is light at the end of this tunnel, but we’re going to have to go through some more darkness before we get to it.

You should take a plane ride – for sure! A little local muni airport should offer discovery flights, too. It’s not as expensive as one would think. Way better than a nice dinner out. Exhilarating, scenic, and lovely.

Rusted, it was SOOOOOOO GOOD.
As you might know… my daughter has a learning difference… but you would never know it from meeting her. Only if you lived with her and tried to teach her something.
When she gets up in that plane and we are 4,000 feet up – she is in her element and she is peaceful, attentive, and in full control. She is her very best version of herself – and let me tell you (bias aside) – she has so many excellent, I mean, excellent qualities and the best character and morality.
The instructor had her in control of the plane while heading to the runway and while on the ground, you are actually using your feet on the pedals to steer the plane. Then in the air, you are using the hand controls. Something about the mechanics of that resonates with her.
This time, he had her navigating based upon landmarks and he actually directed her to take us in for a landing and only assumed back control of the plane at around 400 to 1,000 feet up and he landed the plane. The instructor takes off and he lands it – but she was rocking it while up there and even handled a bit of turbulence – which we also experienced last time – and it was a nothing burger to her.
I don’t even think I could fly an airplane – and I’ve done A LOT of strangely unique things in my life. For me, this is my way of showing her that I trust and believe in her fully.
I highly recommend the experience to everyone. I never want anyone to feel they are limited in anything. One of our favorite movies is “The Greatest Showman” In it, there’s a saying by P.T. Barnum that “A man’s station is only limited by his imagination.” I live that mantra, among my many other Christian ones.
The map has changed. Now my neck of the woods is in the medium threat area as is most of Indiana. Tornado warnings in Iowa.
