Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

✝️ DAILY DEVOTIONAL, March 27, 2023

Good morning, Dan. Your faithful postings of Charles Spurgeon are the perfect start for any new week, and I thank Almighty God for your presence in these branches.
And I thank Almighty God for the blessings of friends here without whom my life would be the poorer.
Good Monday morning to everyone perched in his or her branch. And good morning to those who are passing by. The Tree has room for all. 💕
Good morning!
Just low hanging fruit over here
Good morning, monticello😊
I must admit you look very happy! I see you have a rope swing as well. And when I say “you” I am obviously speaking of your inner child. Who could wish for more?😉
Good morning Bet and monti. That was Nipper in the middle of last week, minus the front 2 tooth. 😂
Morning, dear brother😁
I hope the tooth fairy was generous. In my day the going price was 25 cents a tooth, unless it was a big one. Then I raked it in… 50 cents!!! Life was sweet💕
Good morning. Took grandson fishing last Friday, good times. He’s 6.
Good times he’ll remember forever💕
Making some great memories, Monticello!
Nipper will turn 8 mid April.
Afternoon, GPa. Give Nippers a high five from us.
Fishing 🎣 times are the best times! Some of the happiest memories with the kids and grandkids have been the fishing expeditions.🥰
Love the pic, Monti. We “gingers” have to stick together.
Afternoon, darlin. 🙂
.

.
Such bright cheerful colors and lighting. And kitty seems to have had several cups of coffee –on alert! Gave me a boost, thanks Leon 🙂

🇺🇸🤠🇺🇸
Good morning, y’all. Have a blessed bench Monday!

Howdy, Parichute.
Good morning, Garrison😊
Afternoon, Bet. Busy morning today . . . Spectrum wants me to upgrade my cable boxes. Since I never tough them I have to re-learn what I’ve forgotten . . .
Met with the tree guy (who also does my lawn). They’re coming on Thursday to trim new growth in my huge old pecan tree.. This is young man’s work. I ain’t goin’ up there anymore.
Hi Garrison – don’t upgrade the Spectrum boxes – “it’s a TRAP!” Just turn them in and save the money. Just keep the Wi-Fi router to play with us. I actually pay MORE for internet Wi-Fi access exclusively… because I was making a point that I didn’t want their cable trash in my house anymore.
With rabbit ears – we get 40+ stations and that includes MeTV (the great channel with shows like “Andy Griffith”, “MASH”, “The Munsters”, etc…), WTTK which shows the old “Frasier” and “Big Bang Theory” sitcoms, DABL which has “Jamie Oliver’s 15 and 30 minute meals” and 3 channels of PBS. We love quite a bit of the PBS programming – especially the concerts and British shows.
We found that for as much (or as little) as we watch TV – we don’t need cable. And we are a lot happier for it, without all the noise.
We have never had cable, just an outside antenna. We get over 30 stations. I get all the programs that you get and don’t have to pay for cable.
It’s like “freedom”, isn’t it, Marti?
Well . . . there are some things I like about Spectrum like On Demand movies and, of course, Fox news. It is pretty convenient.
But then electrickery is not my strong point. (I’m much better at asymmetric camshaft timing for old Italian sports cars.) So, I think I see how this install works. I can always quit if I don’t like it.
Hope you did notice that I have a tree guy coming this week? I was stubbornly going to do the trimming myself until my Peripheral neuropathy sent me a rather poignant and direct message. My left toes are numb with atrophied tendons. As I was showing tree guy what needed to be done I stepped on a hidden tree root and almost fell on my face.
I’d already explained to Rafael that I was done with climbing ladders (again, thanks to you, darlin’ along with my other Treeper friends) at my age. With me almost falling from just walking across the yard the reason didn’t need any additional explaining. Take care, love. 🙂
I did see that you were deferring to the professionals regarding your grand old Pecan tree. Very wise, as I know you are, Garrison. Gives you more time to tinker with the cars.
Have you seen the movie “Ford vs Ferrari”? I bet you’d like it!
Oh, yes. And it quickly became a favorite. Another favorite is “Grand Prix” (now about 50 years old), along with an all-time favorite “Two Lane Blacktop” with James Taylor (the driver), Dennis Wilson (the mechanic), and Laurie Bird (the girl). Finally got to watch it after a long absence—every bit as good as I remember. I dearly love well made old movies.
Good!!! Stay where you are…feet on the ground, in every way!😎😘
Oh, yes. Lesson learned. My tree guy was much too polite to point and laugh.
Little ‘Tink report. She is so cute in how she’s working out her sleeping perch—on me. This morning when I needed to get up before daylight, she just politely moved to the corner of the bed . . . waited for me to return and get comfortable — and then thump!! she was back in her claimed perch. Cute little kitty.
You’ve been claimed!
Good afternoon, Betsy, Garrison, Molon, and all dear treepers! Hope everyone has had a good day. 🌿🌸🌿 The March lion has been roaring around here.
That means dirt and pollen swirling 🍃around causing problems. Looking forward to a calmer April 🤞.
Rusted
I’ll say again
I’m so glad you’ve found a branch here
Peace friend
☘️
Thanks Molon. This is a great place to hangout. So many nice Treepers who make it welcoming! 🌸🌿
Howdy Rusted!
Hey, JWoo. I think you indicated you might be a ginger. Me too, or at least I used to be—hence the name rusted 😆.
Awesome!!! Great name!
Afternoon, Rusted💕 My red car looks like someone dumped the contents of their vacuum cleaned bag all over it. Readying the allergy pills has we speak.
Oh, Betsy, I know what you mean! Allergies and sinus have been really bad for me for about a month now. Hopefully they will blow away soon. 🍃🌺💞
Good afternoon to you, Rusted. Reasonably pleasant day here in Texas. I’ll take it. 🙂
Well , Garrison, it gets better here once Lubbock blows through—that red dirt sky 😉. But it has been better this afternoon. Yea!
Good morning jay.
Hey Joe 🇺🇸🤠🇺🇸
Good morning, Joe. 😊
Good afternoon, Bet. I’m up again; back door’s open so the girls can go in and out. Drinking green tea with lemon after having coffee earlier this morning. Nice looking spring day outside, 51 degrees F and sunny. Cold earlier this morning.
Have a blessed day.
Howdy Joe – didn’t have my first cup of coffee until 3:30 PM today – and it could explain a lot. LOL
Pot roast in the dutch oven on the stove top – seasoned with Herbs de Provence, Onion and Garlic Powders, Kosher Salt, and Black Pepper – and will steam up some veg’s. It’s a cold day here – and it’s a meal I can throw together and not tend to.
It’s cold and rainy and dreary – definitely a pot roast kind of day.
Good afternoon, JWoo. It warmed up to 60 degrees F and partly sunny now. Raked some more leaves and now getting ready to visit the wife.
Another day, another dollar…
Or more like, a day late and a dollar short.
Just kidding, it’s all good. Enjoy your pot roast.
A day late and a dollar short
I like that one
My best to you and your bride, Joe.
Same…cold then sun blazing. Just looked at my weather thingy on my phone. 90% chance of rain around 5. Its never accurate. We’ll see.
Good morning, Mr jay. And now the benches come into their own. Glorious!
Maidin Mhaith Betsy some sunshine this week 🇺🇸😎🇺🇸
Ours came…then went…but while it was out felt more like May. Which, as the year speeds along will be here soon enough.

3/26/2023 – The Pursuit of Wisdom Brings Security
Proverbs 2:1-5 “My son, if you will receive My words and treasure My commandments within you, make your ear attentive to wisdom; incline your heart to understanding. For if you cry out for insight, and raise your voice for understanding; if you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and discover the knowledge of God.” (New American Standard Bible)
James 1:21 “Therefore having put aside all filthiness and abounding of wickedness, in humility receive the implanted word, being able to save your souls.” (Greek Interlinear – biblehub.com)
How does anyone learn that which he has no heart for? That is why, when the Lord began to teach His disciples, what it means on a practical level, that the Kingdom of heaven has come to them; He began with the Beatitudes, and then proceeded to explain how the law is something that goes to the thoughts and intents of the heart; and not merely the outward performing of it. The law of God is written for our benefit, as His children; to know His nature and character, His reasoning and judgment; for describing to us His Anointed our Savior, in whom is all our guarantee of life, after this present evil time in the world is finished.
It be might assumed, by the title of this message, “The Pursuit of Wisdom Brings Security,” that religion is in itself something that God will respect; and as much as one devotes his life to religious exercises, he should have good confidence in God’s protection and guidance. For isn’t it true, that we study and pray and remember and hold fast to the word of God, for the very reason of being His sanctified ones? Pure religion, and undefiled before God and the Father, is this; to visit the orphan and the widow (the truly needy and them that have no helper), and to keep himself unspotted from the world. Faith puts religious convictions into actions of mercy and judgement and truth. Wisdom is not merely an astute insight, or grasp of deep things; as the world thinks of wisdom; but true wisdom is acting on the knowledge and understanding of the truth, and the commandments of God. The fool on the other hand, rages and is confident, and cannot receive instruction on account of his pride.
James said, that you have not, because you ask not; and you ask and do not receive, because you ask wrong; that you may consume them upon your pleasures. We do not pray to make God do things for us, or give us the things we wish for; but we pray, first of all, to set in order our account before Him; and after that to inquire about the things His Spirit has stirred in you. We meditate on His word, and we pray it in, so we can remember to work it out! We find in God’s word what is on His heart, and seek to make ourselves the kind of man or woman He is comfortable to come and talk to about those things. Abraham knew what was going on down in the cities of the plain of Jordan, where his nephew moved to. When the LORD came to visit with him and Sarah, and to tell them that Isaac was on the way; He lingered afterwards to talk with His friend about what He had now to do. Abraham didn’t have any Bible that we know of today, unless perhaps some writings handed down to Noah and Shem and to his father Terah; but that’s pure speculation. But what the father of the faithful had, was truth in the inward parts, and that deep and whole integrity and faith, that God knew him as a real friend.
We can read today the wisdom of Solomon and James the Lord’s brother; but the Holy Spirit had been communicating those same things to the righteous ever since Abel. For even Paul intimated this, when he said how the Gentiles, who have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, by their integrity to their conscience; which God gave to every living soul of man, regardless of to what degree he has, or has not, the Bible. Therefore it is all the more demanded of the ones who do have knowledge and understanding according to God’s word; who are then expected to walk accordingly.
So we see, that there is an order to coming into this grace: which begins with hearing the word preached and receiving it in a good and honest heart. After that, or rather, WITH that, treasuring God’s commandments within us, making our ears ATTENTIVE, hearkening, listening eagerly with the intent to obey! Watching our Master’s hand, like a servant does toward his lord, to be always ready and in the action when He speaks. Inclining our heart to understanding, (as the Psalm says, ‘and not to covetousness’); implies an already decided “bowing down to” knowing how the way that we take works, or know what our choices and behaviors mean.
If we have seen the Lord in our hearts by faith, and have truly heard His voice and His Spirit, then our response should be like blind Bartimeus calling out from the road, for Jesus to have mercy on him. we need insight and discernment as much as the blind need sight. discernment and insight are as our eyes are to our bodies; that’s how the light comes in, for us to know where we walk and what we do.
We have to want it bad enough that we lift up our voice, in such a way as will make others around us uncomfortable, but that it gets the Lord’s attention. If others are embarrassed or ashamed of such enthusiastic displays, like those who told Bartimeus to be quiet and calm down; then we need to cry out all the more, and make sure that no one keeps us from our heart’s desire and real need. The world is perishing, many would-be Christians are perishing, for want of knowledge and understanding. They’re just standing there waiting for someone to tell them what to do. When all the while, God has provided for them to have the Teacher and the revealer of the things of God, dwelling right inside of them; but they have never learned it.
God saw us as a treasure hid in a field, and sold all and bought that field. We are to Him like the pearl of great price, which the merchant man having found, sold all that he had to purchase it. How much more then is it our place, and what is the only fitting response to His great love for us; to seek for Him as far more worth than silver, and search for knowing and understanding Him, who is beyond all estimation of what is treasure! And the end, the thing aimed at, the perfection of God’s completed good pleasure; We in His Presence, unashamed and full of unspeakable joy; seeing Him “AS HE IS!”
Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
James 1:21 “Therefore having put aside all filthiness and abounding of wickedness, in humility receive the implanted word, being able to save your souls . . . FOR THEN you will understand the fear of the LORD, and discover the knowledge of God.”
Is everyone paying attention?
New Global Reserve Currency – SPECIAL EPISODE – Robert Kiyosaki, Andy Schectman
Thanks for this link, Michael. I’ve been watching his alert videos but had not caught this one.
Your welcome. I just happened to see it in the thumbnails on the side, while I was watching something else. These are really very serious issues, and I am afraid for this country, that is SO not prepared. And I don’t know that buying gold or silver is necessarily gonna make any difference, in the worst case scenario. Are we also going to be able to build fortresses and form communities to protect ourselves from the inevitable bands of robbers that will be looking for every opportunity to pillage and destroy? Who will we trade the gold and silver with?
And what about all the little people who are alone, and family very far away, like me and my wife? We have to be right with the Lord, and seeking Him with all our heart; and ready for enduring in faith, whatever must come. Trusting Jesus, and maintaining a good conscience and pure hearts, is how we will overcome.
What’s that old saying, prepare for the worst case scenario and pray for the best. I think it’s definitely the older generation, looking through the lens of history, who has some idea of how bad it could be. I don’t think the younger generations have a clue. At least most of them don’t.
Michael, here is the answer to your question after my late post about Israel.
And yes, I do think someone(s) want Netanyahu gone.

Morning Garrison!
Afternoon, Gramps 🙂
Nice Garrison!!
Below is a video of what is going on rain-wise in Tulare County and Porterville, There is very little video coverage of Tulare County. Tulare County is sandwiched between Kern and Fresno Counties, both of which have a dramatically larger population than Tulare County. There are no TV stations in Tulare County. It’s like Vegas, what happens in Tulare County stays in Tulare County with no media coverage at all.
It really frustrates me that this is going on here with the rain. The biggest problem is the dam east of Porterville, which is a flood control dam built by the Army Corps of Engineers back in the late 50s or early 60s, is almost worthless now. Since the 80s it has been in desperate need of repair. The silt has built up so badly that Success Lake can hold less than half the water it was built to hold. In essence, it is a flood control dam that can no longer control flood water. The downstream flooding is a direct result of letting the water out of the dam because if they don’t it will top the dam and the MASSIVE flooding would make what is going on look like a cake walk.
Back in the 80s and 90s when I was actively involved in Tulare County and Porterville politics this was a problem that I and several others tried to remedy but it has been shunted down the decades until here we are. So much can be hidden when there is no media to cover it. The video just shows up as a link. Click on the link to see the video.

can they hydraulically dredge the silt out and into rail tanker cars and train it to somewhere and pump it out over the terrain to create fertile agricultural “bottom land”?
or is it cheaper to move upstream or downstream and build a new damn and let the old one stay, even though it’s becoming ineffectual? (although half-capacity is nothing to sneeze at, it’ll still provide substantial floodwater interception in conjunction with a new upstream or downstream dam)
No, they have completely removed the rail lines that used to come through Porterville. Much of our produce used to go out by train but is now shipped by truck.
If I recall correctly, they did do a minor dredging of the dam back 10 years ago or so, but it was very minor. It wasn’t meant to alleviate the potential for flooding. Or at least I remember reading in the local Porterville Recorder that they were planning on doing a minor dredge. Don’t know if they actually did it.
A couple miles upstream is the town of Springville. A dam there would completely cover the town.
Where the dam is now is at the very point where the foothills end. No more hills to dam the water behind.
thanks for the explanation, patty
I think I get it, downstream you run out of valley onto the flatter lands so you don’t get an impounded volume
upstream and you drown a town, like you say
Long ago there was the Tulare Lake. It was the 3rd or 4th largest lake in the US. As the Valley became more populated the rivers that flowed into the Tulare Lake were used for ag and city water supplies. Also, late 50s, early 60s they dammed the rivers to stop the annual flooding. (I remember almost every winter there would be weeks when Oildale, across the river from Bakersfield, was isolated because of flooding.)
And the Tulare Lake became history.
My great aunt Eleanor was a math teacher in Salinas for many, many years. She was born in 1900, so her tenure there was long ago. Devin Nunes also represented Tulare County, no?
Wow. The early 1900s were quite different than now. Would have been a great time to be here. And, yes, Nunes was my congressman for years till he quit. He was a local dairy farmer here in Tulare County.
I misspoke. Salinas is in Monterey. Auntie was in Visalia.Sorry, I have had a lot on my mind lately.
Visalia was a tiny town back then. Even in the 60s Visalia only had a population of about 10,000. It’s the county seat of government. Now Visalia is about200,000 folks.
I was in Visalia with my family visiting my great aunt with my grandmother, her sister.. I was just a kid. Great Aunt Eleanor had a wonderful disposition, great for a teacher, (especially a math teacher). She was just so positive.
I recall her though, explaining to my father that a mouse had run into her dishwasher and she turned it on. She was scared! Poor mouse.
Poor mouse. She made a clean sweep of it, so to speak. Poor mouse.
I learned about Salinas Valley from the James Dean film East of Eden, then looked it up on the map and where the train went out to that town on the coast (Monterey? Santa Cruz?)
Yes. Salinas is Monterey area. Visalia and Tulare are farm towns, or used to be , in the San Joaquin Valley.
Tulare Lake
yep, shows as cultivated fields now no Google Maps
I like to look up locations mentioned in discussions here to get the lay of the land in my mind, I’m highly map- and visual-oriented
https://goo.gl/maps/MfUUrgtKcnvqnUHt7
JG Boswell bought up the Tulare Lake basin and turned it into ag land. JG Boswell was soundly hated by most folks back then. I remember. At the time he was the biggest farmer by far. What JG Boswell wanted, JG Boswell got.
Some interesting facts… Back in the early 2000s Diane Feinstein unilaterally decided to shut down the Friant Kern Canal system , it was a federally funded system. The Friant Kern Canal system diverted water in a number of canals throughout Kern, Tulare and Kings counties for the farmers.
Crisis ensued. Farmers had NO water at all. So all the farmers began drilling their own wells to supply water for their farms. In a matter of a few years they had pumped virtually ALL of the groundwater out. Areas around the county have sunk, some several feet or more because of the groundwater subsidence.
The removal of the groundwater was catastrophic. Everyone, like me, were forced to redrill our wells much deeper to find more water. My well went dry on June 30, 2009. That’s the day I shut off the power to my well. I called all the water drillers and finally found one that could begin redrilling my well about 6 months after it went dry. So for 6 months I had NO water. Quite a trick figuring out how to live with no water.
At the time I was peeved I had to wait 6 months. As it went on I found I was lucky. My well was one of the first to go dry. By the time they got here to redrill the wait list was over 2 years.
The really bad part for me was it was just after the ’08 crash. I had all my retirement in the stock market. My $220,000 had turned into $65,000. I had it with Morgan Stanley and their rules were that one must have at least $100,000 to keep the account open. If the acccount dipped below $100,000 because of market conditions you could keep your account but you could withdraw nothing from it.
I tried going to banks to get a loan for the well but they, reasonably, refused to take my stock as collateral. I could have mortgaged my house which was paid for but without being able to withdraw from my stock account I couldn’t repay the loan and would end up losing my home. So I had to cash in my stocks, lock in my losses, so I could drill a new well.
I had to drill down an additional 150 feet to get adequate water flow. When the well was drilled and done the total came to about $25,000. It was a disaster but for many others it was complete disaster as they didn’t have the money to redrill and had to sell at a loss and leave.
After Diane Feinstein had caused so much misery she relented and opened up the Friant Kern Canal system again. But the damage was done. I still have my place but live month to month. EVERYTHING in my life I ration. Thank God I own my place or I don’t know what I would do.
I hear you there Patty!
Very sorry for everyone there. How about the nearby towns; anyone offering assistance, like heavy equipment, pumps, housing, some way to help people to retrieve their stuff and stow it somewhere?
Lotta rich farmers etc. in the Central Valley.
Yes, there has been help. People around here tend to help one another, too. Actually there has been a lot of help come in from communities outside of the Valley and they have brought heavy equipment to help with the flooding.
That’s good! You and your family are okay?
Yes, I am fine. I shouldn’t have to worry unless the water tops the dam. I’m about a mile from the Tule River but only about 1/4 mile from the old river bed. Long ago the river ran much closer to my house. Day after tomorrow we are supposed to have and 3 days of drenching rain. I truly hope and pray the rains stop soon.
Father, in Jesus’ Name we ask You, Please have mercy on all the people in Porterville and the whole valley, and turn away the rains and the floods and the winds. And cause the waters to quickly recede, and not everything be a loss. Amen.
Thank you, Michael. Very few people around here have flood insurance. We are technically not in a flood zone.
3 days of drenching rain…wow! Be safe and praying for you and yours….and everyone else.
Thanks Aggiegirl. I’m just trying to enjoy today, sunny skies and temps in the upper 60s. There will be plenty of time to worry, if need be, when the rain starts again.
I did, however, get my ladder out and put it up against the house. Just in case. I feed several dozen feral cats and if need be they can get up on the roof.
I live in Sonoma County area. Right outside of town there is a “laguna” and beyond that there is a long stretch of flat grassland where a dairy farm grazes their cows. In heavy rain years the whole area turns back into the lake it must have once been and floods the farms and gas station.
Some local enthusiasts who must believe in climate change planted the whole area near the Laguna with native plants and pathways, apparently having moved here recently during the drought years.
There used to be an apple pressing warehouse near the Laguna and they turned the area into really nice outdoor shopping/restaurant area on the outskirts of town. You guessed it. When we have heavy rain years, it floods.
So, if your dam busts, it sounds like Tulare Lake will return.
Don’t you just love how local planning depts hand out building permits like candy? When the costs come due the builders have their money and are long gone leaving the new owners with all the costs. The planning depts are supposed to calculate potential forseeable problems and make the builders mitigate them but they don’t. Those bribes, I mean political donations, keep them on the rosy side of the street.
They had built in a system to control the flood waters in the new shopping district but it required someone to activate it in the case of flooding. The first year flooding happened, no one knew what to do and many businesses and restaurants were flood damaged.
One business, a bakery, had been in town and moved to the new district when it opened. She did not have flood insurance, believing the flood control mechanisms would work. She had a heart attack, the “broken heart syndrome” when she lost her business.
How very sad for that dear lady. I hope God holds her close and blesses her.
Last week Juan Brown, his blancolirio you tube channel did an overview of the California flooding looking specifically at the Tulare area, and the planners thinking about just letting the lake go back to being a lake;
it was a pretty informative; 20 minutes. Praying that everyone in the area will be safe when this incoming storm moves in.
Such a sad situation. It’s a shame that issues like this are constantly ignored until something devastating occurs. So very sorry for everyone there.
Thanks Rusted.
Very sad Patty…sorry for you and your neighbors..and all the animals affected….🙏🙏🙏
🇺🇸💪😀👍
Amen
Yes, unfortunately a number of horses and cattle have lost their lives by drowning. After watching that video last night I realized why all the helicopters keep coming and going from the airport about 1/2 mile or so west of me. Most of them have a sling thing hanging from the bottom. They are trying to pick up and move as many large animals as they can.
Praying for sanity in California, Patty. It’s so beautiful there. Glad you are safe and pray it stays that way.
Thanks, JWoo. I just checked the weather again and we are now scheduled to have 2 days of rain, not 3. Yay!!! One day of hard rain and then one day of moderate rain. The best part – no more rain is forecast after that for the next 10 days. Praise God.
I watched that video with the San Joaquin farmer – and the desire to be able to store all that water. It is really a shame – you all need moderate rainfall so badly! Moderately!
Once upon a time . . . No air-conditioning, huge industrial fans blowing the mosquitos out into the nearby boyau. There was magic here. Love’s won and love’s lost. Music that promised everything to whoever chose to listen carefully. You could easily lose yourself in a place like this on a hot Saturday night . . . Many people over all those years did just that. 🙂
For Southeast Texas live music fans, the original Rodair Club in Port Acres, was a stronghold of Cajun music for many years.
Going to the Rodair Club was a family affair with most parents bringing their children to this Cajun club every weekend.
The Rodair Club in the big city of Port Acres was a hot spot of Cajun music, dancing and drinking for generations in Port Acres. Southeast Texas Cajuns remember well the wooden floors and two-stepping to “Jolie Blon” (a song recently featured in James Lee Burke’s Dave Robichaux novels) as children, then teens, and still later as adults. Some remember dancing with their parents, their spouses, and then their own children.
Although the original Rodair Club has been closed since 2004, it remains a

My editing was a bit slipshod, guys. Sorry . . . 🙂
Hi Garrison, How’s it goin?
A little off topic; but did you hear anything about what’s going on with Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Iran all joining BRICS; and the US now wants to go to war with Mexico?
I just saw it on REDACTED.
Did not notice – the brain fills in the blanks – Isn’t God. Grand? 💙
It is until your wife’s complaints sound like she is offering you a beer.
Rodair Club still shows on Google Maps but says “permanently closed”
near Beaumont, where Johnny and Edgar Winter hail from, I believe
I hail from Beaumont, too. That is where i grew up.
Went to the Rodair a few times. Loved Cajun culture. Fell in love with my wife while flying kites over the ship channel.
Beautiful place to meet a beautiful girl!

Loved him in a flick where the devil gives him X number of wishes for his soul. Cannot remember the name of the flick. Was it Bedazzled?!?!?
It was!
Bedazzled: A hapless loser sells his soul to the Devil in exchange for seven wishes, but has trouble winning over the girl of his dreams.
He always made me smile. Loved Arthur!

Good morning Molonlabe.
I’m almost embarrassed by my relationship with Christ at the moment.
I get it, now.
Finally.
My daily devotional and meditation in prayer
has re affirmed a belief in the power of the Holy Spirit,
land the sacrifice that Jesus made for everyone.
Again, I’m overwhelmed and so blessed to be in touch with Christ
as I am right now. It’s a connection that fuels my entire life.
God Bless You Fellow Treepers.
The Lord bless you Bobo.
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Hunger for God’s word, and don’t look back! Keep your eyes upon Jesus, and make it your whole desire to always have a good conscience with Him and with men. He will never fail you nor forsake you, when He sees a true heart that needs Him.
Good morning, Bobo😊
Hmmm… What could possibly go wrong.

Good morning Molonlabe. Yep. Cute kitties that will brighten anyone’s Monday.
Good morning Joe!
Good afternoon, GrandpaM.
Roadtrip!!
I love “America” – the country and the band. Reminds me of my late teens early 20s working in Lake Arrowhead. Good times!

Both these pics made me think of the song you played

Thanx, Molon. The Mojave Desert is mind boggling when traveling through some of those areas. It’s huge. And somewhat intimidating. Hotter than a firecracker during the summer months. Great place to visit during winter and spring time.
Wow. Look at the vintage recording equipment (Beatles, circa 1967)
?quality=90&strip=all&ssl=1
Edit: I wanted to change the estimated date of the above photo, but I didn’t get to it before the edit button timed out.
I was looking at the hairstyles and ties they’re wearing; everyone is clean shaven. And John Lennon isn’t wearing glasses even though he was nearly blind without them.
I’d say the photo of that recording session was taken around 1964. Again, that (sound mixer?) looks like something that was used during the early 60s. That must have been high tech back then.
Meanwhile in Bakhmut…
what has any of this accomplished for anyone

For those in the DC/ Military Industrial Complex? Plenty.
Stained Glass window in the Cathedral of Bayeux, France, depicting the Archangel Michael holding a set of scales, performing the Divine Measure of Soul
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Matthew 18:20“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Love your window scapes, Molon. Interesting that the picture shows the justice scales tipping in the good direction, and check out the little cheater, cheater, pumpkin eater on the evil side trying to pull his scale side down. Evil always cheats, always is revealed, and never (ever) wins!
Todays gospel
John 8:1-11
Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. But early in the morning he arrived again in the temple area, and all the people started coming to him, and he sat down and taught them. Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery and made her stand in the middle. They said to him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” They said this to test him, so that they could have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger. But when they continued asking him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Again he bent down and wrote on the ground. And in response, they went away one by one, beginning with the elders. So he was left alone with the woman before him. Then Jesus straightened up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” She replied, “No one, sir.” Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”
Good morning molonlabe! 🌞
I love this story! The gentleness and wisdom of Jesus towards those that need His salvation. I thank God everyday that I am fortunate to be one of the redeemed! 🙏🙏🙏
BTW…I did see your beautiful long post to me Friday or Saturday morning! I was out of pocket (spent some down time with family in Dallas over the weekend) and couldn’t respond. I was doing good to get OC posted LOL! So thank you for that! Peace and Blessing to you from God our Father! ✝🙏

A beautiful carved door to Brasenose College in Oxford. The design, a maned lion-like face is said to be an inspiration behind the famous CS Lewis book – The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe.

“Friendship … is born at the moment when one man says to another “What! You too? I thought that no one but myself . . .”
― C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves
“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”

VISION BY PERSONAL CHARACTER
“Come up hither, and I will shew thee things.” Rev. iv. 1
An elevated mood can only come out of an elevated habit of personal character. If in the externals of your life you live up to the highest you know, God will continually say – “Friend, go up higher.” The golden rule in temptation is – Go higher. When you get higher up, you face other temptations and characteristics. Satan uses the strategy of elevation in temptation, and God does the same, but the effect is different. When the devil puts you into an elevated place, he makes you screw your idea of holiness beyond what flesh and blood could ever bear, it is a spiritual acrobatic performance, you are just poised and dare not move; but when God elevates you by His grace into the heavenly places, instead of finding a pinnacle to cling to, you find a great table-land where it is easy to move.
Compare this week in your spiritual history with the same week last year and see how God has called you up higher. We have all been brought to see from a higher standpoint. Never let God give you one point of truth which you do not instantly live up to. Always work it out, keep in the light of it.
Growth in grace is measured not by the fact that you have not gone back, but that you have an insight into where you are spiritually; you have heard God say “Come up higher,” not to you personally, but to the insight of your character.
“Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do?” God has to hide from us what He does until by personal character we get to the place where He can reveal it.

Good morning, dear sisters, juststevie and molon. Blessed be your weeks.🙏🏻💕
This is Ely Cathedral. My father in law installed the sound system in this magnificent structure built for the Glory of Almighty God.
To imagine the skills of those who built it is…well…almost too awe-some to contemplate.
Good morning Bett
That’s beautiful .
Your father in law did a great job I’m sure . It’s very important a good sound system is used . I have been in more than one cathedral with a terrible sound system , makes my head hurt .
It’s an important job and I bet your fil was the best , Bett

Ely Cathedral

Thank you, dear friend, for magnifying the glory of this most stunning cathedral, complete with those sublime voices.
Every stone measured and placed perfectly, each pane of those windows artistically created…the vision! The height and breadth of it! All without what we’d call modern equipment.
I watched in that video people walking in and out, oblivious to this structure. How much we take for granted.
Could we build this today? The art of those craftsmen of yesteryear, all gone. I think not…
As someone commented elsewhere, architecture as art. I cannot disagree.
I could stroll in here for hours. I love, love architecture. Love, love art. Love, love woodwork. Love, love stained glass. Just wow. Now, all I would need is bird feeders by the window, a soft spun blanket, a cup of tea… and that’s it. I could stay there for days.
I could, too! No one could build this today.
Maybe our Heavenly Home.
My dear neighbor friend who passed away of terrible cancer – had a herringbone floor like this. Her husband installed it for her. As the realtors were showing her property – the floor was all the rave.
I dated a carpenter “back in the day” who owned an old home on the “Miracle Mile” in Stockton, California – with hand carved inset wooden shelves, lead glass windows, and a hand carved, multi-hued, multi-wood species, floor. It was spectacular.
Loved that old place. Sad to see what’s become of Stockton.
I’d trade a hundred modern homes with fake flimsy plastic plumbing and styrofoam walls – for one of those tried and true, sturdily built places.
Beautiful!! Such craftsmanship. Awesome!!
It is absolutely breathtaking, Rusted. Where to start looking…

it just kinda stuck. ☘️🌸☘️
Ahhhhh!!!! All is clear! Apologies…
Molon, you asked on Saturday what Levi was like.
Here’s a shorter answer to a lengthier one I could have written…
Just like you! 💕
I will take that as a compliment.
Huh
I think I woulda liked him

I’m sorry I came across that way. I can’t believe all this time. Oh boy. Hope that doesn’t change anything dear friend . ☘️
Oh well, I got I good laugh out of it and I’m sure maybe some others did too 🤪
It is a compliment…

Bett, so ya know who ur talkin too and ive changed quiet a bit ,! this is a pic of me and my Babe in 1973.it was after a concert, greatfull dead allman brothers and the band all played at an outdoor jam at watkins glenn in new Hampshire . it was bigger and better than woodstock. we danced all day . my babe could dance and when we danced everyone stopped and watched (HER). she was a bit of a showoff. i think i was a lil mad the concert was over thats why i dint look too happy , but i always was happy with my Babe holding on to me , she always always did that . i miss my Babe , thats what i called her . i never let her out of my sight , ever. i just couldnt. she was one of a kind. my Babe
.jpg)
If I could upvote that photo, a million times, dearest friend, I would do so.
I can see why you loved her, molon. It’s in her eyes.
It’s always in the eyes, the windows to the soul. Your words are a poetic tribute to her, and they are beautiful as she was and remains.
And so now I will explain why I got confused in deciding if you were a sis or a (an obvious) bro.
When I decided you were the latter, all of a sudden flowers appeared at the end of your always thoughtful, wonderfully worded posts. They were at odds (for me) with your avatar, so as I said I made up my own story.
I understand completely now. They are for your “Babe”, always with you. I would hope I am not wrong. Even if I am, I would like to think that is why you include them. Which is how I will always see them now💕.
And molon…that you would share that deepest part of yourself has brought me to tears. Suddenly. Two pieces of life’s puzzle, you and she, who when meeting fit perfectly. Inextricable.
Thank you, thank you, my brother, for this photo of you both. I’ll never read another post of yours without seeing her there beside you…with great affection, your friend. Most certainly your friend and blessed to be so.😘
For you and your “Babe”
Bett
I can still smell her .
Not kidding. It’s in her clothes . She loved oils.
Sadness is not an option though , can’t be . I know where she is and can’t wait to get there. Old age is not a curse , it’s a blessing . As we age we slowly get close to our real birth. When we start the new birth with Christ our Lord in heaven . So really when we get older we are really getting closer to that birthdate .Any suffering we do in old age can be offered up to the Lord. Use the pain , save souls . Pray . Offer it up . Die to this world , live again in Christ . She’s going to be there but she is not all that matters . Seeing the face of God is . We will share in that . Total bliss . Total joy.
This world is only a stepping stone. She always did want to beat me at everything . In this , I’m so glad she did.
☘️🍀☘️
She was Irish and a Sweet Sweet girl
Never wore makeup . She didn’t like it.
Didn’t need it
But when we got dressed up on Sundays
Oh my , I’d say “ babe , you might wanna put on a sweater “. She’d grunt. Then smile !
☘️
She looked soooo gooood
I’m thinkin there’s a difference between missing someone and being sad . When I miss her I’m feeling the love , I’m not sad .I still make her side of the bed just like she liked it. That makes me happy when I do it. Yesterday I had a nice talk with her . The dogs were looking at me , like “ who the .. are you talking too. “ . There right.. I’m nuts . I said to her “ see Babe , I’m makin the bed perfect , just like you like it , and I don’t need you to tell me how it’s done. .. she had to have it perfect and let me know every time . Do it like this.
Im like , ya , no kiddin , ya tell me everyday day.
You could bounce a dime off our sheets .
Still can
I do it for her
☘️
I don’t think she’s left. I really don’t. And I’ll bet after you’re finished with the bed, you can feel her nodding in approval. Betcha!!💕 Look to your beloved dogs. They can hear things we can’t you know😉
Truth. Trust and Loyalty. 🙂
Yes. The fork in the earthly road we all travel on the way to our ultimate destination. Those whose journeys coincide with ours for a time, be they short or long, may take that fork sooner. I intuit your meaning precisely when you write that you are glad hers came before yours.
I am glad you are at peace with her momentary absence, my friend.
CS Lewis from his short book “A Grief Observed” wondered why, when Christ said the door would be opened if we would only knock, his fierce knocking seemed to have no answer and the door remained shut…until he finally came to understand that it had indeed been answered. And that Answer was God Himself…so simple.
So knowing you will see one another once again, face to face with our Saviour, knowing that the fork which separated your journeys will eventually rejoin the road to so much better? There is all to look forward to with anticipation and joy.😘🙏🏻
In the meantime, it seems your mental cocktail cabinet is well stocked to overflowing. Imbibe freely. I’ll have one with you as often as you like when you share them, and will enjoy them with you. Do not “drink” alone.🤗💕
Bett , i really liked this one you played it yesterday. the blonde violinist that goes off and flips her hair around , she reminds me of my Babe , she could talk with her hair . like she would wind up and throw a pitch with it , like a whip . or flip it back . i knew what she was sayin
I hadn’t listened to that in years! I don’t know why not.
I posted that following another of his I left Farewell to Stromness for Garrison. And now that I know more about you and have seen your beautiful photo from long ago with the story of where the two of you were, it makes perfect sense you would like it.
It was a find, this link, with Sir Peter explaining the story. It sounds disjointed otherwise. When I listened to it again, I really couldn’t help but smile. So now I’ll listen again. Those bagpipes!!! I’d even forgotten those but they were so glorious!
If that was your memory, then surely no coincidence I should suddenly remember that work to post. And since I don’t believe in coincidences? Well, you know….😁
Heeeeeyyyyyy!!!!
Molonlabe, what an excellent photo (memory) and a sweet love story.
I’m so pleased to make your acquaintance and sorry about my mistake of thinking you a lady. The internet can be funny and Bets is right, we do make our own stories in our mind, to put an image in front of an online persona.
I guess it’s a nice thing on our Tree – we can be as revealing or as private as we want to be.
I do have a personal wish that someday we will have little events hosted locally where fellow Treepers can come and have a beer together. Or a barbecue. I would travel for that.
These folks really are the best “family”. Love and hugs to you, brother!
PHEW!!! So glad I was it the only one, dear JWoo!😂
Yes, I got to eat the big ol’ piece of humble pie with his gender reveal the other day. Good thing Molonlabe doesn’t hold grudges. He was pretty good to me about it.
If not here, dear friend, then…..sometime🙏🏻
You are the best JWoo
And now I know something about you too , ginger.
Gingers are special. I’ve know and have known many. Great big hearts of gold they are filled with. Like this tree ☘️
Gingers I’ve known have some special personalities.
Pure gold
I mean ginger
Gingers sort of gold
Just as valuable
I’m a strawberry blonde, my daughter is a flaming red. I mean flaming, Rene Russo, “I pay big bucks for bottles upon bottles to get just that certain color”…. all without bottles and aides, of course. She’s a pure bred. Thanks to my mother. You have to have the genetics on both sides – but I don’t give the other side any credit.
The picture that Sundance posts – of the young red head staring off into the distance with her red tresses blowing – looks just like her. Her hair has its own zip code, so thick and wild.
She has all the beauty, all the warrior heart, and none of the ‘tude.
❣ ❣ ❣
I think you’re right about the flowers Molonlabe, I expected sisterhood as well, though when I looked up your nickname a while back, I should have had a clue you might have the other DNA. Nice to have a brother. My parents were successful in gearing up for an all-girl choir.

I’m smilin because,
My babes family was five

You’ve started…please don’t stop.🙏🏻💕
Ahhhh, finally I am here…
…and to say, reading thru the OT is so relaxing to the soul ✝ makes my heart smile!
Brothers, sisters, moms, dads, aunts, uncles, we all fit somewhere in one or a few of these descriptions! It made me smile real bigly that you’re my brother! I only have one, but could use another!!! And you offered LOL! So I’m taking you up on it…deal? 😉
PS: don’t change how you post ~ I like you just the way you are… 💐🍀
So there are two of us who like them, dear sister…and very probably many more. 💕
How are you my dear sister in the Lord? I read your posts that always encourage others, to lift them up, send them a blessing in disguise, make them smile, and to laugh…and you do it serving tea! lol! I just wanted to say thank you for picking out a heavy, sturdy branch that we all can sit with you from time to time! 😍

At children’s Church, Wednesday evenings, our leader begins the same way each time, across decades now, the kids grow up with it.
He shouts, at opening, God is good all the time, and the children shout back, And all the time God is good.
He shouts, after a prayer, at closing, God is good all the time, and the children shout back, And all the time God is good.
In addition, we ‘teachers’ shout it too. Joyful screaming sound !
None of us tire of it. God is good……………
…and last year I was not the same either! By God’s grace we keep moving forward!
Happy! 🙏✝
Good stuff!
We will make mistakes, the biggest is to be paralyzed about making mistakes.
How does God take a dirt bag like us to the cleaners? We are filth. The scripture “God uses all things for good” apples here. Our fallen desires animate us and God uses that animation to turn our desires around. You will make mistakes, but those mistakes are movement and if your desire is Gods will, you will see it achieved in your life. Ego will fight you, humility becomes a must, as well as Gods word.
Palerider
You’ve put that so simply ,
That’s always what’s best for me.
Keeping it simple
Thanks

Perfectly said my brother! 🤗
Great Chambers Devotional, Stevie. I have become more and more dedicated to journaling. Praying, writing, then study in The Word. Lots of lots of practice. I look forward to gathering all these little journals someday – maybe there is a book in there? But what FOR SURE is in there – is a legacy for my daughter – so that she can pick them up when she, herself, is a Mom and she can hear me of how the Lord Has been so merciful on our behalf – or even how I have struggled with some things. I think people seem more “real” when they reveal that sometimes we don’t “have it all together” and we rely on God’s Mercy to carry us through.
Hi Joan…I know what you are saying! Around ten years ago I started writing what I called my “Dear God” letters. There was that time then that God pulled all the strings in my heart and helped me put it on paper. Today I read them and still cry. Your daughter will do the same when she reads yours…but not before you will! Promise! 🙏 ✝
Today even though I would like to write like that again, I can’t. The Spirit moves when it moves and we have no choice but to follow when it leads. So journal on dear sister…while you can! (((hugs)))
I love how you call them your “Dear God” letters. To me, they are my “David Prayers” after King David in the Bible who is so real to me. Faults and all. But he was a man after God’s own heart and I so want to be like him.
I agree with you wholeheartedly – there are times when The Spirit takes over and that can be some of the most amazing “What just happened???” time and I couldn’t possibly recreate it on my own if I tried!
But even in the dry spells, it can be just a short “Hi God. I see You. I love You. – Me” and it’s enough.
(((hugs))) back to you, Stevie.

KIEL, GERMANY The Jazz Singer Tom Gaebel plays the THEREMIN

KATICA ILLÉNYI – Once Upon a Time in the West – Theremin
Don’t fret the small stuff. Play the theremin.
Spectacular videography! Thanks for posting. 🙂
Garrison
i was amazed by this when i first saw it .
i want one . i know , i could find out who sells em and go to their shop and ask if i could test drive one . that would be somethin.
why have i never seen one before
amazing
Theremins have been around for almost a century but never really achieved pop culture status. I remember seeing one played on a Walt Disney show when I was a kid – maybe Mickey Mouse Club tv show in the 50’s. I never saw one used as a serious musical instrument along with an orchestra until this video.
I don’t think theremins ever achieved any prominence in the music industry because electronic organs and keyboard synthesizers came into vogue in the late ’50’s and 60’s. Only a few people have mastered playing a theremin – it is exceedingly difficult to play cleanly.
My husband bought one, and played it for a while. You are correct…not easy.
I believe it Betsy. From the looks of what that woman in the video is doing, it requires exceedingly rigid physical control and lots of practice to know how to make the exact moves to get exact notes out of it. She’s making very specific hand and arm movements to get certain intervals so as to avoid a glissando from one note to the next….. Lots of practice evident in her playing..
What mystical creature is THIS??? Okay – now I have to do a full blown investigation on what this contraption is and how it works. The kid and I are enthralled.
The theremin is the instrument used in the theme music to the fictional series “Midsomer Murders” on the BBC.
We’re watching that now! I’ll listen more closely. Thank you, Sepp
Keep your life free from love of money and be content with what you have. – Hebrews 13:5
Isn’t it great when you have a healthy balance in your checking account? You probably feel peace of mind when you have money left over at the end of a pay period after your needs and some of your desires have been met. How much is enough? Today’s verse says to be content with what you have, and Ecclesiastes 5:10 states, “Whoever loves money never has enough.”
Some misquote the apostle Paul, claiming that money is the root of all evil. He actually wrote, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils” (1 Timothy 6:10). The point is what you love and what you set your heart on! The Bible has a lot to say about money. In fact, it mentions money, wealth, and possessions over 2,300 times.
“It is He who gives you power to get wealth” (Deuteronomy 8:18). God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). In 1 Timothy 6:17-19, Paul says of the rich that they are not to be prideful of their wealth, but put their hope in God. They are to do good works and share. A believer’s love and concern for others is vital in having a godly view of money.
A healthy balance concerning money acknowledges God as the provider and money as a provision and tool to be used to honor Him. While the United States is known as a materialistic nation, it is also known to be a kind and generous nation. Pray that citizens and elected officials will recognize where all good things come from. Ask that the country as a whole will use its resources in ways that please the Lord.

Love that hymn❣️. My dad would start playing that hymn on the piano.
He would start singing as he played,
and my younger brother would sit down beside him
joining him in singing How Great Thy Art.
Both are gone now, but it brings back memories……then sings my soul…🕊💕
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

Great but that blow up doll needs more patches because real science done by real scientists and events like the hacking of the East Anglian University e-mails have poked one heck of a lot more holes in that doll.
As per the physics the dooms day climate models are based on, there are supposed to be permanent hot spots in the middle Troposphere over the tropics. To this day, try as they might, they have not found a single one. So just last week, what did an alarmist “climate scientist” say? ‘Just because we haven’t found one doesn’t mean it’s not there.’
Good morning!
Great news to start the day!
Elizabeth, “Forked Tongue” Warren has announced her run for the senate in the next “election” (You crazy kids who think your vote counts, are no doubt excited. I think Manti Te’o’s “girlfriend wants to meet you.).
Unfortunately, they didn’t have the announcement where it would have been far more appropriate.
The announcement should have taken place on those dusty slopes in Montana at the Little Big Horn.
“It’s a good day for this poseur-fraud-liar and her campaign to die.” said the ghost of Tatanka-Iyotanka
Good morning all. They are classifying that tornado in Mississippi as an EF-4. I guessed that was what it was but you don’t get the official word until after they have a chance to assess the damage to determine the classification per the Enhanced Fujita Scale.
May 20, 2013 a tornado hit Moore, OK that was classified as an EF-5. That was the last time one hit. So it has been almost a decade since the last EF-5. That is the longest period between EF-5 tornadoes since records began in 1950. I would not be surprised if we see that streak end this year.
The damage path of the EF-4 in Mississippi was about a mile wide.
Good morning Rob
What about the one that was headed your way
☘️
Side note :
I can picture it at home lookin all this stuff up.
I’m betting you have more than one monitor
☘️
Just sayin 😊
Morning, Rob.
4 or 5…the destruction was the same. Devastating. Unimaginably life destroying.
Anything from an EF-3 on up is considered a “violent” tornado and almost all injuries and fatalities come from those. But the Enhanced Fujita Scale is based on type of damage a storm does and so an EF-5 is worse than a 4. For example and EF-5 can actually pull up the asphalt on a road or driveway, while and EF-4 only scours it.
And Molonlabe, no, I don’t have multiple monitors. In fact for the last couple years I have been working on a single laptop. What I do have are lots of links, stored in folders in my favorite places that I have accumulated over the years concerning climate change, weather, Oceanography, Astronomy, and paleontology.
BTW I just got my desk top to my nephew to get it repaired. It is a nice one with a large monitor. Power supply failed. If it was the tower type I could have repaired it myself, but it one of those all in one types that does not have a tower and the guts are like that used in a laptop. Never again! My next one will be the tower type and have dual hard drives and processors.
You are our go to for this sort of information. I am so glad you share it all with us.👍🏻 Thank you!

MORNING
To him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. Prov. 11:18
After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matt. 25:19-21
We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. II Cor. 5:10
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Tim. 4:7, 8
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Rev. 3:11
EVENING
God is faithful. I Cor. 10:13
God is not a man that he should lie; neither the Son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Num. 23:19
The Lord sware and will not repent. Heb. 7:21
God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us. Heb. 6:17, 18
Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. I Pet. 4:19
I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. II Tim. 1:12
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. I Thess. 5:24
All the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. II Cor. 1:20

Excellent commentary on the SJW issues of our times.
There is no problem the government can’t make worse! Everything they touch turns to shit! Their solution? More layers of government corruption, waste and fraud. Our government has legalized counterfeiting money! That’s how corrupt they are! They are still promoting the death jabs too! Murdering us and our families while telling us it’s ‘Safe and Effective’! Plus, they are destroying everything they can as fast as they can to collapse the economy, jobs, our freedom and rights! They are as evil as the devil himself!

Good afternoon, everybody!
Had the best day visiting our dear sweet friends, who live too far away. She’s like an adopted Grandma to my daughter and the most amazing prayer warrior, mentor, friend a person could have. You don’t have to mince words with her and I just love her for it. She’s who introduced me to the CTH – and I admit, I’m hooked.
Work is a bear – so no big posts of dialogue today. (Yes, I see you all breathing a sigh of relief! Ha ha!) I’ll send my Representative to say “howdy” in the most dignified way possible. Harry Houdini’s the new Office Manager and keeps me in line.
He’s staring at you in Southern!😎 He’s a handsome lad. I think I’m in love😍
He is such a ROMEO – it’s ridiculous! He’ll curl up by my head – flop over to face me – take his paw and caress my cheek and quite literally lift my chin and bite my nose. It hurts – because his teeth are sooo sharp – but he’s so cute and just the sweetest guy.
I’m like “Where you goin’ with this Harry, are you going to kiss me???” AAAACKKK!!!
He’s just effusive and the most darling cat.
I’m “his person” and he plays this hilarious game with my daughter. My daughter just can’t help but go after him to hold him like a baby and cuddle the mess out of him. He is as soft as a bunny. He tolerates her. He loves her, but would just prefer to do so… more at a distance. I think she’s a bit “loud” for him. So, when he sees her coming towards him…. he plays OPOSSOM and tucks his head in pretending to sleep. Like “If she doesn’t see me awake – she’ll leave me alone.” She’ll stand still and a few seconds goes by, and he opens one eye to see if she’s still there. It’s hysterical.
He says nothing, but speaks volumes.
I’m not even done reading the post and you got me again JWoo
laughin
Have you read “ALL” of it – OMGEEEEEEE…. I am DYING. My kid is rolling hysterically. I didn’t even notice it. Only after seeing the cat’s paw. I’m like “ohhhh noooooo!!!!!”
How squeaky is your chair now, Molon???? ROFLOL
He’s curling his paw at you, Betsy.
OH MY GOSH!!! I just realized there is a nudey tudey t-shirt mannequin in the picture under my desk. Sorry everybody! I’m not vulgur, I swear it. That mannequin was used for my “Biblical Citizenship” classes to display DefenderGear.com t-shirts, which are awesome by the way! Ha ha. Talk about no “self-awareness” when taking pictures!
I’M SO EMBARASSED.
Oh my God – I can’t breathe! And you KNOW that after a certain amount of time, you can’t take the posts down. So, it’s out there!!
“I’m out there, Jerry, and I’m looooovin’ every minute of it!”

Tornados wrought devastation in Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennesse. Bowling Green almost wiped off the map. Downtown Louisville gutted. Still one of the deadliest outbreaks in US history. Twenty four separate paths of heavy devastation identified at the time.

got it
BTW I think it was year before last Bowling Green had a tornado go through. I happened to be making a delivery to the Corvette plant there shortly after that and they had rows of brand new damaged vets lined up in a lot in the back of the plant. It was a sad sight to see.
Let’s not speak it into existence, Rob. Sigh… though NOTHING would surprise me anymore, it gets stressing at the onslaught. Bless you, friend.
Greetings Treepers!

Good evening, Frank!
This story got me to thinking.
Perhaps the solution is to call their bluff. If you are born a male and wish you were a female or the other way around and are of the legal age of consent then get the surgery. Until you get the surgery then you have no legal claim to be declaring your self of any sex or gender than what the chromosomes you were born with dictate.
After the surgery you will have the legal right to be granted the “sex” of T-male/T-man or T-female/T-woman. And the designation that applies will be used on all legal and government forms.
Once that is done then separate sports can be set up for the Ts and once again women’s sports will be on a level playing field.
I would bet not even 1/8th of the attention starved perverts that claim they are trans would get the surgeries.
Amen
