The time of our Lord’s Glorious Appearance is coming fast. All the beast technology is in place, the “knowledge “ is increasing exponentially, and lawlessness abounds.

Cindy, I’ve never been very good at proselytizing, not good at witnessing. When asked I simply tell the truth . . . my truth. Do you talk to God? All the time. Does He answer back? Sometimes, especially when I’ve really needed His help. What does His Grace feel like? Mysterious, profound, like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. You’ll know it when it comes. And it will come.
A most satisfying win was with a dear friend who, overwhelmed by church doctrines, insisted he could not pray. A couple of weeks later he said he’d begun say the “Now I lay me down to sleep . . .” children’s prayer. He’ d simply chosen the medium—that simple child’s prayer—as the way that was most comfortable for him. I inwardly cheered for him and told him that’s all it takes.
Don’t give up on your friends and family members. Acceptance can come in even the most simple forms. Our Lord is simply waiting to hear from them. How they speak to Him about this can be simple or complex. My impression is that it’s the acceptance—however it gets expressed—that counts.

The Lord is slow in His coming as God is patient with them, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.

Praying for your family members and those you love. Sometimes it is not through us that their salvation will come, but from a bystander who crosses their path. No matter what it takes for your loved ones to come to that knowledge of Christ as their Savior and lover of their soul… I pray He does what is needed. Even through tribulations – they will look back and find it was all a Divine recipe for their perfect testimony.

Good morning Della! To answer your post from yesterday, when I saw Nipper for lunch he still had the Urban Air band on his wrist. Reminder of the day spent with his daddy. And then his dad was supposed to call him Sunday night and didn’t. It’s a roller coaster of a ride. Sometimes I am ready to pull out the 2X4.

Thank you for your kind words, Della. Prayer definitely helps ease the grief. The 18 years that I cared for her was a blessing, a time in which we fell in love all over again. Then the Lord allowed her to pass gently—she just went to sleep and didn’t wake up. With the help of hospice and a physician friend, I knew what was coming. Despite that, so far I’ve had 3 depressive episodes. It has now been two weeks since I felt depressed. Not feeling depressed is a wonderful feeling!
When we’re feeling depressed, the best thing to do is just wait. Most of the time depression will simply go away after a while. That’s the first antidote for a grief-caused depressive episode—just wait and see if it goes away on its own. If it doesn’t go away, long term depression is called dysthymia, it can always be successfully treated medically.

John 6:47-66 “Verily, verily, I say to you, He that believes on me has life eternal. I am that Bread of Life. Your fathers ate manna in the desert, and died; this is the Bread which from heaven comes down, that anyone may eat of it and not die. I am the Living Bread which out of heaven came down: if anyone shall have eaten of this Bread, he shall live forever: and the Bread also which I will give, is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore were contending with one another, saying, How is He able give us his flesh to eat? Jesus therefore said to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, If not you shall have eaten the flesh of the Son of man, and shall have drunk his blood, you have not life in yourselves. Under the administration of the law given by Moses, the representations in the flesh were for spiritual teaching. For as long as Christ coming in the flesh was still being looked forward to, for so long were the types and elements of carnal ordinances necessarily held firm in place. But those carnal ordinances were nonetheless however spiritual in nature, and were to be observed spiritually. The purpose of the type is to point to and teach concerning the anti-type; so that when Christ came they should know Him, and all that for which He came to do.
Insofar as the priesthood, with all its statutes and ordinances surrounding sacrifices, and the blood of atonement, and reconciliation for sins, was made so prominent and central to the life of the chosen nation; their minds should have been firmly grounded in education and training, and accustomed to think and discern on spiritual lines. But it was in fact the fault of the teachers of Israel; who deviated by purpose away from the Scriptures, to a form of religion of their own making; which was so devised to the most extreme tediousness, and all consuming bondage of the mind and conscience; so as to render the devout worshiper utterly incapacitated in his mind and conscience to the Spirit of God; bound under chains of darkness and hopelessness, to the slavish system they had invented to replace the faith of the fathers.
So it was, that all these things had been cleverly fabricated, for the express purpose of disconnecting the mind and conscience of men from the Holy Spirit of God: with the natural result, that when Christ did appear, they did not know Him, and everything in them raged in hatred and hostility, and antagonized by His Presence. So were their interactions with Jesus constantly in adversarial mode. They had made their religion according to the carnal mind; and Jesus was speaking from the Spirit and eternal life of God. And the evil effect upon the people over whom they were charged to shepherd for God, was devastating. For the blanket remains over their heads to this day, with regards to everything spiritual and from the Scriptures, (which they do not know); until they turn to the Lord.
This is part of the reason why the Lord’s words seemed so hard to them; because they were brought up into a religious world that was spiritually incoherent: so that when Messiah was teaching them the most important words of God for their eternal salvation; it was a language they knew nothing about, and had no interest to learn. So with that, they renounced and forsook all, and went back to their meaningless and self-centered lives without Jesus, and without hope of salvation.
What then was this very simple illustration, that they found so hard to understand; that the Messiah the Savior of the world, had come down from heaven to give His flesh and blood so the world could live? How is it so difficult to understand the spiritual word? If you use words like, feasting on pleasures, or drunk with power and pride; everyone knows what you mean. But as soon as you attach the Name of Jesus, and things that have to do with getting right with God, all of a sudden everyone pretends heathen ignorance, and they become frightened and offended; and all the defenses go up to keep the word from entering into the heart with power to convert and heal.
These kind do not need long and tiresome explanations, or the word watered down till its made a completely tasteless mush they can swallow; for Jesus said it perfectly; whether they liked it or were”able to hear it” or not. Unless we eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, we have not life in ourselves. The entire reason for our species even being allowed to exist to this day, is on account of Christ coming in the flesh to give up His life, His blood, to redeem us to God. The entire reason why God didn’t kill Adam and his wife outright when they disobeyed; was on account of the circumstances through which they were beguiled and coerced by the devil. Therefore must it be on those same lines, SPIRITUALLY, that God found a way for righteousness’ sake, to have mercy on everyone who was of the truth, and heard His voice. Unless we eat the flesh of Christ, and drink His blood, we have no life in ourselves: but if we eat His flesh and drink His blood, we have life eternal: this indicating, that the works of the devil have been undone, and we have been delivered and saved and restored to God!

My prayers in my final day of fasting on behalf of Donald J. Trump are that we are fine, well, and of sound mind, and peaceful Spirit.
I want to advise you what happened to us… yesterday. My 17 yo daughter is set to compete in a Social Studies Academic Bowl this Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.
Yesterday, my daughter asked about dress code for the Academic Team for Wednesday evening’s meet. She’s a good kid, who is respectful of rules. The teacher coach of the team said she could wear anything she wanted but – “nothing faith-based”.
Who are we afraid of offending?
Are they concerned there will be an unfair advantage – with God’s Help?
Is this discrimination?
Who is harmed wearing “The Chosen” t-shirts, or a Chris Tomlin shirt with no vulgarity, no offensive language, no sexual offensiveness, and no violence? It sure beats the books they force her to read in English class.
I’ve emailed the Principal and her teacher of record. Mind you, nothing my daughter wears is outlandish beat-you-over-the-head Christian. However, it is enough that another who recognizes God knows who she is and what she stands for.
In the middle of the Administrative fire storm.
Teacher claims she didn’t say it. Said my daughter misinterpreted “holey jeans” for “Holy”. (Gaslighting anyone?) This is an academic team and a student competing can’t discern between holey and Holy? Really?
The words used were “faith-based” in front of her Spanish class. I am praying for witnesses who wouldn’t fear coming forward if asked.
The Principal says she can wear faith-based t-shirts. I appreciate that, however, if the academic team coach tried to suppress her, I want it addressed. We’ll now be watching for retaliation.

Thanks, Molon. Whether it is retaliation towards her (she’s ready) or retaliation in their direction by The Lord, it is out of our hands. We’ve done what we are called to do. Defend and assert. Stand in the face of persecution. Be willing to take heat to stand for what we believe in.

We have had a complete 180 degree turn. And an apology from the teacher and an affirmation that in “no way” would she ever want to violate my daughter’s Constitutional rights, suppress my daughter, and to cause her to miss her competition because she would stand up for her faith… first and foremost.
We have to nip this in the bud… immediately… and every time we witness or experience such things.
There is a line of witnesses to what transpired in her Spanish class. Whether those witnesses find strength to come forward or not, I will certainly not be made aware about it. They circle their wagons and protect their own, so I will never be told if this woman is lying or not.
Plus, The Lord is our Witness, and we commit our ways to Him and He Makes our paths straight. The Truth is always revealed. I am grateful to learn who might be a threat and who is safe – so Romans 8:28 always applies.
Daughter wasn’t even intending on wearing a subtle religious t-shirt tomorrow. Her question about dress code was more if she should dress professionally – or if jeans and t-shirts were acceptable? She will likely choose professional casual attire – but now certainly with her cross necklace – showing.
Ball is still in daughter’s court and she will decide whether she participates or not. I believe she will. I’ll be in the audience with my “The Chosen” t-shirt on. To God be The Glory – always.

But, it is God alone who strengthens me and when I think I can’t possibly take one step more – He carries me up with eagle’s wings and helps me to fly – and somehow the time passes by until the next cleft of a rock where I can take a rest. As I read your posts, it all seems very familiar to me. I once served as principal of a private school so I know how school adms—good and bad—tend to work. Before I go on, I want to say immediately that you did everything right. Making calm, orderly, and reasonable arguments, even if in opposition, is the best way to speak truth to power.
I was going to write and suggest that you go over the principal’s and teacher’s heads—1st to the board member representing you and then to the president of the board. But now it sure looks like your advocacy was persuasive to the principal and the teacher.
And kudos to your wonderful daughter for not simply caving to her teacher and, instead, coming to mom who, as it turned out, is one tough lady who can bite 10-penny nails in two when she needs to!
And I’ll also give quieter kudos to the principal and teacher who are good folks. Having been there several times myself, I’d imagine the principal called said teacher in for a private meeting and said something along these lines: Did you say that to our student? If yes, we’d best rescind something that is well outside our rules (principal: and I also don’t want a board member breathing down my neck). If no, then we’ll apologize for the misunderstanding and tell our student she can wear religious images if she wants to wear them. The Principal is a Christian – albeit a strongly conflicted one who cowtows to the pandering at every turn. I pray for his health. His position is a terrible one to be in. I like him. I send him little things to uplift him on occasion to hopefully help bolster his faith. (We need a revival and our kids need a revival. They want rules and they want to be safe.)
As for the higher up Superintendent – that man is a liberal animal and needs to be run out of office. I full blown saw the devil in him as he gleefully discussed the massacre of legislation that would have protected our children. He said “if the bills passed, it would remove humanity from the schools.”
I’ve seen humanity – and I don’t like it. Humanity has done lost its mind. I’ll take morality and good citizenship any day.
As for the teacher – she outright lied. By the time I was done with her and saying “surely you didn’t intend to violate my daughter’s rights because that would be…. discrimination” – her response and tone changed entirely. We will now be watching that teacher carefully, however she’ll think twice before messing with us. I could almost hear her peeing through her words.
That’s it, though. Evil expects us to not stand up. Evil expects us to cower in fear. Just don’t! What are they going to do, take away our birthdays? Even if they fail my daughter and ruin her academic chances – guess what? She’s still God’s amazing and precious child and she is an heir to His Throne (as we all are) and His Will for her life (and ours!) will not be stopped by anyone.
These nut jobs truly have no clue – and let’s all pray that they will see and want the abundance that we have found in our lives through Christ Jesus.
Of course I now will attending the competition to make sure she doesn’t get jacked in a hallway. Geesh.
Believe me, I know how serious this is . . . but I also have to say you have me broadly smiling. One thing every school administrator knows about is just how powerful Sec. 504 and, especially, ADA laws are and how they seriously punish schools that are not in compliance. So, when you used the “discrimination” word that really got your school’s official attention.
At my school I was chair of our ADA committee. I astonished my colleagues my telling them they didn’t need to attend meetings if they weren’t conversant with both laws. I could quote The American’s With Disabilities Act chapter and verse—especially the parts about “Reasonable Accommodations”.
We had a very nice, pretty, 18 year old freshman who was in tears because she couldn’t get along with her math teacher. She was failing College Algebra despite being able to correctly solve every problem presented to her. Turned out she was being failed because her teacher expected her to verbally describe and then write down in detail the steps she was using to reach her uniformally correct answers. She was LD, had a serial ordering deficit, just couldn’t readily explain the steps she used to get the correct answer. Still, her teacher was adamant—she was going to fail the course.
I took this up with our AVP, telling him we were exposed to an ADA based lawsuit . . . 🙂 He blanched and told me to immediately go solve the problem. I transferred our LD student to another math teacher who’d come to us from a Jr. school where he had a lot of experience with LD kids. Even transferring in the middle of the semester she finished with a solid grade of “B”. He told me he was astonished at her ability to solve complex math problems without using a pen and paper. She just studied the problem, and quickly deduced the correct answer. And she could do the work in a lot less time than her non LD peers. She was quite remarkable in being to do this.
Does your school have an ADA counselor? It would be a good idea to get in touch with that person. When your daughter enters college there will most definitely be not only an ADA office but a faculty committee like mine with real power to aid students. Wait . . .was that the sound of a ten-penny nail hitting the floor? 🙂 🙂 🙂

As for an ADA counselor… no, merely a teacher of record, guidance counselor, etc. Just found out I’ll need to go to court to get limited conservatorship over her, as she turns 18 in her junior year. Once she reaches 18… the school and apparently her doctor… will cease to counsel with me and they will force her to deal with only her own devices.
Sad lot we’ve done to our parents when no one respects the parent/ child relationship.
I’ve no intent on going Brittany Spears with her… only to mitigate liability for errant choices until she’s maybe 23. She still needs maturing to properly defend herself and she’d be too easily manipulated and coerced… but she’s got discernment rooting. She just fears standing alone on her owjot.
Teaching her to drive is proving a not so fun experience… traffic cones aligning a parking spot will save many a car in the future. Lol

I think you are right. Your daughters cognitive problems can be a very serious problem once she’s legally an “adult” because of autism she will like the essential social skills that she needs. That means you need to be in her life, guiding her and, yes, protecting her.
She can, however, develop the kinds of adaptive strategies she needs to function as a responsible adult. However, it’s just going to take some time during which a lot will fall on you. Now I know you don’t mind, but I fear you are going to need legal advice and, sadly, some legal decisions.
Have you talked to the formal organizations that deal with people with your daughter’s conditions? I found, for instance, that the Alzheimer’s Association had quite a lot of useful information. You may (or may not) find local support groups helpful.

Today’s verse expresses a comforting thought. When you walk after the Spirit, doing what pleases Him, you will steer clear of gratifying the desires of the flesh, those things that offend the Lord and are harmful to you. In other words, if you are busy doing the things you are supposed to do, you will not have time to do the things that displease the Father.
Following after the Spirit is a learning progression with many ups and downs. Ingrained habits or addictions can cause great difficulty when walking after the Spirit. Some people are delivered instantly from habits like drugs or smoking, while others struggle through a long process of recovery.
Emotions like anger, impatience, and pride may take time to unlearn and overcome. It involves working “out your own salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12). The work is a partnership. “For it is God who works in you, both to will and work for His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13).
The process begins with prayer and Bible study. Paul told the church in Rome, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2).
Be attentive to the Spirit’s guidance and timing in your growing pains. He may be concerned more with your attitude than a particular action. Pray for believing citizens and government leaders to understand the intensity of the Lord’s love and spread it to all those around them.

The imperative need spiritually is to sign the death warrant of the disposition of sin, to turn all emotional impressions and intellectual beliefs into a moral verdict against the disposition of sin, viz., my claim to my right to myself. Paul says – “I have been crucified with Christ”; he does not say – “I have determined to imitate Jesus Christ,” or, “I will endeavour to follow Him” – but – “I have been IDENTIFIED with Him in His death.” When I come to such a moral decision and act upon it, then all that Christ wrought FOR me on the Cross is wrought IN me. The free committal of myself to God gives the Holy Spirit the chance to impart to me the holiness of Jesus Christ.
“…nevertheless I live…” The individuality remains, but the mainspring, the ruling disposition, is radically altered. The same human body remains, but the old satanic right to myself is destroyed.
“And the life which I now live in the flesh…,” not the life which I long to live and pray to live, but the life I now live in my mortal flesh, the life which men can see, “I live by the faith of the Son of God.” This faith is not Paul’s faith in Jesus Christ, but the faith that the Son of God has imparted to him – “THE FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD.” It is no longer faith in faith, but faith which has overleapt all conscious bounds, the identical faith of the Son of God.

Religion, or, more precisely, the revealed doctrine of Christ in western civilization has not grown much past where apostle Paul left it when he departed from this side of heaven. If it were not so, we all would be living in a much different kind of world. But, as a consequence of the failure to grow and bear its promised fruit, man-made doctrines of denominational Christianity no longer serve or advance the Doctrine of the Christ-man, Jesus of Nazareth.
This does not mean that Christ’s Doctrine itself has failed. The Great Implication of Christ’s Doctrine is that every element of every human life, especially those elements of which we are unaware and cannot know in our present state–all of THAT is naked and opened in God’s Sight. For anyone who is willing, anyone in whose heart the Christ is formed by Christ’s Faith (he is the author and finisher of faith), God our Father will, by His Spirit, coordinate and harmonize everything that He sees, right now, in each one of us, with everything else that He sees: which is everything. He will not make our choices for us. But in the lively Spirit, Faith and Doctrine of Christ, God our Father will lead us, and guide us, and help us make better choices.
Man-made interpretations of Christ’s Doctrine always fail. Man-made religion has no power to give anyone any kind of genuine hope. Only God can do that, “not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit says the LORD of hosts.” Man-made religion (of all kinds) cannot ever teach or bring to life the living truth of Christ’s Doctrine. And yet, the Holy Spirit abides with us.
“I am the way, the life and the truth” is now only a pretty saying of empty words in the lives of most humanity. The arrow of time flies toward its final mark. The Christ’s grim promise is shown more truthful in every passing hour: “Many are called, few are chosen.” The lies, terror, and darkness of the evil one take their toll. Memorize verses 1-10 of Psalm 91 and revolve those great words in your mind for the rest of your time on this side of heaven. Amen.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
