Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Hello Fellow Treepers!

Here is an old-fashioned maple sugar evaporator being put to good use at the Cleveland Metroparks in Northeast Ohio years ago. Just look at that sweet steam rising! Have you ever harvested maple syrup or sugar in your neck of the woods? Photo taken by me.
And here’s a fitting “Maple Sugar” fiddle song played by Ward Allen of Ontario, Canada, who composed the song in 1956. The video shows some clips of collecting and boiling maple sugar complete with buckets and a horse-drawn sled, interspersed with Mr. Allen’s image.
Good morning, phoenix.
My husband’s path long go crossed serendipitously with that of a Canadian trucker. One day this generous trucker, who made frequent delivery runs from Canada to Texas took the time to come onto the premises where my husband worked and handed him a beautifully shaped bottle of maple syrup. Oh my!!! The real stuff. Nectar…
Wouldn’t have remembered it but for your photo this morning. The fiddle made it even better…such happy music.
Blessings to you, lovely friend. We’ve been missing you.💕
Good morning Bet and phoenix! Blessings!
Good morning to you, GrandpaM! 🙂
Good morning, dear G! Bet you can’t wait to get that girl home!💕
Hopefully we get to do it today. This morning her kidney values were still a bit up, meaning she is not completely hydrated so they are running fluids aggressively right now and will do a blood panel check around 3-4 PM. If the values are where they need to be, then most likely I’ll have to drive to San Antonio, pick them up and take them home. So I’m on call. Grandson also was puking during the night but he just called me to let me know that he was feeling better and was going to make the afternoon performance.
Also, called my mom to let her know I’ll be staying away for a couple of days just to make sure I didn’t get the bug. Really don’t want to share it with her.
😘 ❤️
There is a gastrointestinal virus going around, or so I read. But it is winter still, and those awful things always seem to hit then. Prayer warrior here, not stopping. Hoping you’ll soon be bringing her home this afternoon, G. I hope Miss Violet is feeling tons better. Chicken broth is just the thing, and I bet she enjoyed it. Let us know please….🙏🏻💕
Well, one more night at the hospital. Her labs went down but not enough. And it’s called norovirus and it has been going around. At least everyone seems to have gotten over it. Now I’m praying for violet’s labs to get to normal.
Getting my Nipper batteries refilled tonight. Took him to the skate park and he is spending the night here.
Good morning Betsy jones! Nice to see you. 🙂
Maple syrup is definitely a staple on my shopping list when I visit Amish Country.
I’d be buying in bulk!😁💕

“Martha” Tom Waits
Very cool song, lindak! Beautiful piano playing, diamond-in-the-rough voice, simple compelling storytelling.
Yes, Waits is really good. This song is from an album called “Closing Time” by Tom Waits. Highly recommend all the songs on it.
Barney the Cemetery Cat is Buried After Providing Comfort to Mourners
Very touching! RIP Barney.
RIP
He is God’s cat now. Sweet lad who looks as if at one time he was lost…but then was found…
Beautiful!
We have a feral, Andeclain. We make sure he is fed, warm, and secure lo the many years ago when he decided we were a pretty good bet for his needs. He was not wrong💕
Decades ago, teaching courses at Atlanta Botanical Garden, there was a Garden Cat, Blossom. She attended classes, in the classroom, and followed along for the outdoor teaching across the acreage.
Blossom was never partial, she was a friend to all, and never disrupted class.
Years passed, teaching with Blossom’s attendance.
When she died, ABG commissioned a life size bronze of precious Blossom.
Time passes, few seeing her bronze, knew her in life.
Thankful Blossom partook my classes.
Maybe this cemetery will soon have a Barney statue……
There is one of Greyfriar’s Bobby in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is small sweet one which I’ve seen, and which went straight to my heart. A fitting tribute to a little dog who would not leave his master’s grave, and who was much loved.
There is precedent for a Barney statue. Maybe one day….
Bet, when my bride and I stayed at an estate next to the village of Enniskerry in Ireland (the name of the estate escapes me know) there was a pet cemetery with cows and dogs buried there. Don’t remember if there were any cats but on every cows gravestone there was marked how many gallons of milk the cow had produce during her lifetime. Talking about stuff getting in your eyes…
Leave it to the quirky Irish, G. I’m glad I wasn’t with you. I’m afraid we would have had to call the Irish version of the coast guards out to rescue us.
The wonders of travelling through a foreign country. One of the most tear inducing things ever to do is to walk through old cemeteries in Blighty and read the headstones from hundreds of years ago…but not even the eccentric Brits had one such as that you saw in Ireland.
It’s time for me to watch Hachi and cry at the end again.
Have a blessed Sunday, Treepers. These past months have taught me some important lessons. I’ve realized how import trust and loyalty are to long term relationships. They are values that must be nurtured by both parties. I’ve often mentioned my “oil patch” girl pulling me out of metaphorical bar ditches (although she actually did that and more. . .) but the symbolism is what’s important. If I’d called I absolutely knew she’d be there. As would I if she called on me. That’s what the deal is. Believe it.
LUX AETERNA … PAX ET BONUM.
Good morning, Garrison. All His peace surround you, dearest sir. 💕
Good morning, Bet. Thanks for your expression of faith and kindness. I got up this morning having slept on a decision I needed to make. I believe in second chances. While I don’t at all excuse what has happened, a second chance is a far better choice. Didn’t believe that yesterday . . . Be well, love. 🙂
Fun fact, Garrison,
“PAX ET BONUM” is Latin for “Peace and all good” which is quite similar in sentiment to what Betsy jones wished you … I figured I’d follow your lead of communicating in the Latin language when I saw you had posted “LUX AETERNA”, as well to show my appreciation of your use of this language which is near and dear to my heart and so much under attack these days.
This shows the reason why the Bible lists “interpretation of tongues” as a gift along with “speaking in tongues” … 🙂
I’ma great believer in
second chances…where in heaven would we be if it were not for the great gift of paid for second chances through His grace? Things always look clearer in the morning…which I ferevently hope it is for you, my lovely friend.😘
Good morning Garrison! And a blessed Sunday to you!
Mornin’ Gramps. May I ask how your daughter is doing? 🙂
Sorry Garrison, just got back here. Daughter seems to be back to normal, PTL! Thank you for asking.
Really, really good news. I know it takes good doctorin’ sometimes. Looks like she had some good ‘uns. 🙂
“Get Off of My Cloud” Lucinda Williams
l o v e lucinda , thanks for posting her linda..
i saw her at the house of blues , in new orleans
She has a good band also!
Wow! She covers a lot of great songs. The Stones, Dylan and makes them her own.
Agustin Barrios was a Central American guitarist and composer who is known for writing some of the most lyrical, Central American flavored, melodies ever composed. Here is a wonderful selection of some of his most famous compositions played by a particularly gifted concert guitarist. Tatiana is just spectacular . . . The first Barrios piece she plays is simply glorious! Enjoy, Treeper friends. 🙂

They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goes to the battle:
Ezekiel 7:14,23-26 “They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goes to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the *multitude (noise, tumult, crowd, disquietude, wealth, abundance, riches) thereof . . . Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence. For this cause I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled. Destruction comes; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none. Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumor shall be upon rumor; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.”
Proverbs 1:29-33 “For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: they would none of My counsel: they despised all My reproof: therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own *devices (purposes). For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkens unto Me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.”
Two holy men of God; each speaking to their respective time, and to those times to come. A prophet-priest, and a prophet-king, wrote by the Spirit of Christ to instruct an evil generation from God. It is believed that Israel came out of Egypt in 1446 BC; and the first carrying away of Babylon, (which marked the changing of the times from the kingdom of God with the house of David, to the times of the Gentiles with Babylon and king Nebuchadnezzar), was in 623 BC; thus putting Solomon just a little over half way in their history (1 Kings 6:1). Ezekiel was one who was carried away in that first captivity; and was in the distances among strangers, well out of harm’s way, before the wrath came.
As it was ever the condition of Israel’s soul, from the day that Moses brought them out of Egypt; Solomon reigned over a people that did not match the spirit and revelation that he was given from God. So also with Ezekiel; even with all that they had for their history up to that point, and being so brutally chastened and humbled of God; they still were like members of the audience at a music recital or concert: for they sit and listen like they are God’s people, but they don’t do what God says. Solomon’s prayer was that he would be able to feed God’s people with knowledge and understanding, worthy of being God’s people. But they had not changed from what they always were; regardless how, if God had given them a wise and godly king, and peace on every side: they were still ready, as soon as they had an excuse, to bolt in rebellion, and separate completely from David and his God. So the messages to a kind of people then, are for the same reasons applicable to those same kinds in every age.
When we read in the Gospels, on many occasions the Lord Jesus spoke in many different ways, about how they had to be of a kind of character and nature, and be committed and consecrated without reservation, if they were to be counted worthy of being His disciples. Also on many occasions did He scold and reproach the crowds for their hardness and impenitence; while He had done the most of His teaching and miracles among them, but they did not repent. Comparing them to the men of Nineveh; who having no Bibles and no knowledge or prior warning; when they heard the pronouncement of their doom, they immediately humbled themselves and repented: Jesus said, that they will be your judges, and will condemn you; because for all that you have been given, all that you have heard and known and been blessed far above anyone else in the world; yet you do not fear nor at all repent!
In all the previous generations, which were as the birth pangs, becoming more intense and more frequent the closer the time comes to be delivered; history has always followed the same pattern. The word of God is brought, with a time of blessing and enlightenment; and a relatively small number listen and get saved; while the vast majority of the rest of the people make light of it, and go their way, in their false comforts and delusions of camaraderie on the broad way. Then, without anyone laying to heart or considering, what would be the significance; the hour of visitation has passed, and those who would not know it, are marked for the coming punishment and wrath, right on its heels. Next comes the rising of yet another antichrist, with war and slaughter coming with it, and all the deprivations and weighing of spirits, with death and hell following close behind. No one considering, that these things are God’s judgment for the blood of the innocents, and His witnesses which is on their hands.
These things have been done over and over again, from one generation to the next; but even to this last extremity of times, with all the history, and all the multitudes of God’s true and faithful servants among them; “They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goes to the battle:” and they just keep on dancing with their drink in their hand, closer and closer to the edge of the precipice. Why? Because He that searches the hearts and tries what is the innermost parts of man’s soul, has searched and tried, and reached His verdict: I will harden their hearts, that they will not understand, nor believe; and I will close their eyes, that they cannot see; and will stop their ears from hearing any more My words: and I have forsaken the generation of My wrath.
The word that He will bring the worst of the heathen, to dispossess the land, and devour all of our goods, and the things we should have to live on; is still applicable and in force today; as it was with those of God’s own household, so also to the nations which have also been given the most privilege, and all the Light of the New Testament, but have likewise not glorified God, to live worthy of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
We can already see the mounts, lining up and positioning themselves on the crest of the hills surrounding us. We have been hearing the sound of the trumpet from a long way’s off, over many generations. The Lord has borne and kept silence and restrained Himself from giving what our sins deserve; and has continually and carefully sent to speak to this country, by all His good and faithful saints; whom He has taken out from their very families. Now He is done speaking, and done with restraining any longer, all that He said will come. And once He has begun to set His judgment in motion, none of the crying and praying will any longer come into His ears. Now is the time to show repentance and obedience by accepting the punishment at His hand as righteous.
Jeremiah 25:15-16,27-29 ” For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at My hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it. And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them . . . Therefore you shall say to them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink you, and be drunken, and spew, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you. And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then shall you say to them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; You shall certainly drink! For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by My Name, and should you be utterly unpunished? You shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.”
We pray for the Lord of the harvest to still send forth workers into His harvest. We still pray for the word of the Lord to have free course and be glorified; and for the unity of the Brethren; that we all be of the same mind, of the same heart, and of the same soul, striving together for the things of Jesus Christ. But God will not make out of us something we have no heart for, and do not apply ourselves to learn and follow. The things we have all this time heard and received, and have waited for, are at hand. The world is willfully holding on to their own purposes and ways of rebellion and self-will, walking in darkness, about to fall into the ditch. Let us who are the called children of Light, hold fast and true to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Be strong and very courageous, for you must fulfill the sacred charge of God upon you for this time, and many to likewise bring into their inheritance in Christ.
“Five minutes inside of Eternity, I believe everyone of us would have wished we had sacrificed more, prayed more, loved more, sweated more, grieved more, wept more…” Leonard Ravenhill
Thank you Michael
True enough, Sister. The things we have been given,”according to our several ability,” we can still turn into ten talents or five; and we can all follow Paul’s example, of “laboring and suffering more than they all.” Simply and easily said; but, Oh LORD, help us to “man up” and fight for our people and the cities of our God!
The Lord bless you Stevie, and fulfill all your petitions.
Good morning Treepers

At our ouse, we are serenated with that song pretty often.
Same color, same size when we brought him home from the Dallas, TX Humane Society, ca. 1982. Poot.
He played the large mirror hanging on the wall in our bedroom about 6am each morning. He had that huge mirror rocking and rolling on the wall. For effect, after especially loud rocking bang, he would pause and stare at us. Then back to his playing that Mirror on the Wall.
Why not shut our door? And listen to the rest of the house being destroyed ? This tiny, Poot was in charge.
Deeply miss his dictatorship.
That’s hilarious. I can just see that little cat doing that every morning. No need to set an alarm clock.

LORD, KEEP US STEADFAST IN YOUR WORD
On that day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the seaside. Great multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat and sat; and all the multitude stood on the beach.
He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a farmer went out to sow. As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them. Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn’t have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth. When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away. Others fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them. Others fell on good soil and yielded fruit: some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

When I was a kid taking piano lessons, Malaguena was one of the challenges I had.
And everyone likes Greensleeves. Since it’s the melody for “What Child Is This,” I get to play it every Christmas season.
Great music!
I was thinking Chuck Mangione from better times gone by. Johnny Carson is a good pick. Outstanding performance here. This one is quite busy, tightly structured and the horns sound supernal. Drums are solid on Ed Shaughnessy’s kit, who steps aside on this one.
Justice: Ah, the good old Seventies.
IS HE REALLY LORD?
“…so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus.” Acts xx. 24
Joy means the perfect fulfilment of that for which I was created and regenerated, not the successful doing of a thing. The joy Our Lord had lay in doing what the Father sent Him to do, and He says – “As My Father hath sent Me, even so am I sending you.” Have I received a ministry from the Lord? If so, I have to be loyal to it, to count my life precious only for the fulfilling of that ministry. Think of the satisfaction it will be to hear Jesus say – “Well done, good and faithful servant”; to know that you have done what He sent you to do. We have all to find our niche in life, and spiritually we find it when we receive our ministry from the Lord. In order to do this we must have companied with Jesus; we must know Him as more than a personal Saviour. “I will show him how great things he must suffer FOR MY SAKE.”
“Lovest thou Me?” Then – “Feed My sheep.” There is no choice of service, only absolute loyalty to Our Lord’s commission; loyalty to what you discern when you are in closest contact with God. If you have received a ministry from the Lord Jesus, you will know that the need is never the call: the need is the opportunity. The call is loyalty to the ministry you received when you were in real touch with Him. This does not imply that there is a campaign of service marked out for you, but it does mean that you will have to ignore the demands for service along other lines.

John Michael Talbot Come To The Quiet Full Album
Greetings Treepers! 💕✝️💕
I love mornings.
They’re my quiet escape from the tyranny of the urgent, but not the important. I’m a lesser man if I fail to take my early morning moments and gaze at Scripture and think about the stuff that really counts. Alone. In the blessed quiet.
I think of you Treepers here too…sprinkled throughout this borderless land, wishing for law and order, common sense in governance, moral uprightness, wishing for bright futures for those that come after us, etc.
I then look to the future world where righteousness reins with my Master on His throne. Where there is no need for sunlight because the Sonlight of His brightness suffices.
Then. I smile. And move along with a bounce of joy in my gait.
Then! I ask silly questions, like, what in h… are we gonna do with 7 kittens?
Thank you Frank for your encouraging word today! ✝
Enjoy those kittens! 🤗
Good morning Frank
Enjoy your “bouncey bouncey” day
Mr Frank, you have said the words that exactly describe my mornings – better that I could say.
Thank you!
Dearest Frank, I love how you describe shoving the momentary aside for the eternal. Your eye on the Greatest Prize of all.
As we always say, start as you mean to go on. Is there any better way to begin than with the Word deeply embedded within you?
As the recipient of many unasked for litters from passing ferals, I can say you are most fortunate your lot are all in one place.
I suspect you’ll find homes for them all.💕
Good morning, Frank. Mornings are my favorite part of the day. Nice and quiet, first cup of coffee to clear the cobwebs.
Good morning, dear Joe.
I remember my mother drinking coffee, and wondering what was the appeal. I get it now.
She drank hers black, which is something I could never do. I heard it once said that after three black coffees one would never drink it any other way. I couldn’t get past the first cup. So I make it my way, which is a lot of foamy hot milk with Splenda.
All my grown children ask for it when they come to our house. And as my name used by our grands is “Bucca”, their parents always ask for a StarBucca’s coffee. 😁
Good morning, Bet. Working on my 3rd cup of coffee and listening to a piano and cello version of Pachelbel’s Canon in D. I will post this tonite or tomorrow on Open Thread. Very relaxing.
A nurse called me because my wife tried to climb out of bed this morning and ended up on the fall pad. She was ok, no injuries. I was with her last night and always make sure the fall pad is near her bed when I leave. I’ll check on her tonite; maybe she’ll eat a sandwich with me.
I drink my coffee black nowadays; I used to add creamer or some type of sweetener. Now it’s just straight black coffee; strong enough that a horseshoe will stand upright in the mug.
Oh no!! Thank goodness you are there to keep a watchful loving eye out for her, Joe. I always have wondered why side rails can’t be manufactured so that the issue you told us about which scuppered them couldn’t be taken care of. Are we really to lacking in innovative design that it couldn’t be done?
I’m relieved she is all right. Yes, do go with something to eat that will make her eyes light up. You are her loving advocate, God bless you both💕
Church of St Matthew Stitar Croati
Matthew 17:1-9
Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, conversing with him. Then Peter said to Jesus in reply, “Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud cast a shadow over them, then from the cloud came a voice that said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” When the disciples heard this, they fell prostrate and were very much afraid. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and do not be afraid.” And when the disciples raised their eyes, they saw no one else but Jesus alone.
As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, “Do not tell the vision to anyone until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”
(Note to myself)…
May each of you, have a Blessed Sunday, and that your branch be heavy with God’s Love…🙏
That note may be to yourself, dear sister, but I am so glad you passed it on💕

How often do trains derail? More often than you think
Posted: Jun 27, 2022
“This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated”
…From 1990, the first year the BTS began tracking derailments and injuries on a yearly basis, to 2021, there have been 54,539 accidents in which a train derailed. That’s an average of 1,704 derailments per year…
https://ktla.com/news/nexstar-media-wire/nationworld/how-often-do-trains-derail-more-often-than-you-think/
It would be interesting to see how that compares to the year 1900, for instance.
In the early 1970’s, my big sister and I were on a train that derailed. Our parents used to put us on the train in Houston to ride up to Oklahoma City to visit our grandparents. Outside of Dallas, in the countryside, that time, some guy in a truck pulling a trailer with a bunch of metal pipes on it thought he could beat the train coming down the tracks. His truck made it, but the trailer didn’t. My sister and I were playing cards in the lounge car at the time-luckily the tables are attached to the floor in that car. We felt the crash, then a loud grinding sound, then the car began to tip over. We just stared at each other as we gripped the table. We weren’t hurt, but many people were in other cars, a couple of people were even killed – the cook in the kitchen and a woman in between cars. It was awful. They led us to a church, we were allowed to call our grandparents, and then they got a bus for us all and took us to the Dallas/Ft Worth train station to get us back on our way.
That certainly was a terrible experience, but at least you walked away unscathed. Airplane passengers aren’t as lucky when something goes terribly wrong at 450 mph and 34,000 feet….
Expect to read about more derailments as it is quite clear that railroads are pushing too hard for maximum speed, maximum length trains (always increases risk of failures), minimum crews, and minimum track and rolling stock maintenance. All in pursuit of more and larger profits.
Have a blessed Sunday all.

Good morning Patience! ❤️ Last night I was reading Ezekiel 1. This is like one of the living creatures in his vision of the throne and the glory of God.
You saw what I saw, dear Patience…immediately🙏🏻
An Angel.
Our sphere of physical existence really is miniscule compared to the universe and all which is within it. Seeing this? How small are we…🙏🏻
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
I wish for you a bless-ed Sunday, dear duchess. God keep you in His care always.🙏🏻😘
Thanks, Bet!!! God Bless You Real Good!!! ❤️🧚
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

BABY LIVES MATTER
JESUS LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN
Awww…How Precious!!! 🧚🧚🧚
And I know true. It’s the very image which comes to my mind when I think of all those precious souls “returned to Sender” before their sweet lives have a chance on this earth. Safe in the Hands of Jesus Christ Who loves them.
That reminds me of my triplet daughter, Katherine Louise. They were born at 34 weeks, and the boys weighed 5.5 lbs. and 4.8 lbs. Little Katherine was born at 4.6 lbs and lost 2 pounds before we went home. Her Daddy could hold her like that.
What a beautiful name, Rileytrips. Sustainable life when one would think such was impossible. And here she is today…God’s miracle. 💕💕💕 (one for each of yours).
That is an image a parent will never forget. How tall is Katherine today?
She is 5’4 1/2, and is a fit, 22 year old, personal trainer at a gym while she works on a psychology degree- she is a junior. We were blessed x 3!
Her brothers are 6’4 and 6’5.
Riley that is awesome! You ARE blessed! I’ll bet that the three of them are close and supportive of each other more so than most regular siblings.

“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”
Luke 11:9 (KJV)
Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered!!!
Amen! Especially today for precious V, GrandpaM’s sweet granddaughter, on her way to complete recovery.🙏🏻💕
Amen goes right there, Bet!!! 💖
Oh yes, duchess! So so grateful.🙏🏻💕
Excellent from Tony Heller
Dr Dalrymple, aka Dr Anthony Daniels, is one of the most astute observers of life and the human condition I have ever read. Once a (sane and sensible) psychiatrist in Her Majesty’s Prison Service, now retired and living in France.
It is right and proper that this quote which I know so well was used by Mr Heller, rah. Thanks.
This is day 3 of no electricity (windstorms) and I doubt they will get it back on today, but God has blessed us while we wait with beautiful weather and warmth that allows us to enjoy the days outside. Thankful for the people who are working around the clock to get the power lines fixed. Blessings to all!
🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🙏🏻
The power of wind is frightening. Hope those expert lineman can restore your electricity quicker than you might expect.
How much more just would it be for those whose dedication and skill provide us with what we need to live, like these lineman, to receive the salaries that politicians are given for bloviating and contributing nothing but their own wind, which we could all do without.
Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. – James 1:19-20
It is often said, there is a reason why God gave you two ears and one mouth. You should listen twice as much as you speak. Introverts may have an easier time listening than their more loquacious peers. However, whatever your temperament, James’ advice is solid.
Besides being slow to speak, James cautions against a quick temper, noting that fleshly anger does not produce the righteousness of God. In other words, anger has the potential to lead to sin against God and hurt those around you. How can you be slow to anger in the heat of the moment when a perceived offense has been committed?
The Mayo Clinic lists the following ten tips for dealing with anger: 1. Think before you speak. 2. Express your concerns once you are calm. 3. Get some exercise. 4. Take a timeout. 5. Identify possible solutions. 6. Stick with “I” statements. 7. Don’t hold a grudge. 8. Use humor to release tension. 9. Practice relaxation skills. 10. Know when to seek help.
It is not a sin to be angry. Jesus was angry when He drove the money changers out of the temple (Matthew 21:12). He was also angry at the Pharisees’ hardness of heart (Mark 3:5). Paul says, “Be angry and do not sin” (Ephesians 4:26). The emotion of anger is not the main issue – your response to it is what matters.
When you take time to listen to others, you build a better understanding and lessen temper flare-ups. Listening is a simple way to obey God’s commandment to love others. Pray for citizens and government officials to increase their listening skills, which will create a greater ability to solve problems harmoniously.

Did not the anger of David and his faith in God not drive him to step forth to smoot Goliath when no others would?
A Biblical point rah.

Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God. Psa. 123:1, 2
Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm. Isa. 25:4
Christ … suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously. I Pet. 2:21-23

Strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Eph. 6:10
Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. I Sam. 17:45
God is my strength and power: … he teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. II Sam. 22:33, 35
Our sufficiency is of God. II Cor. 3:5
The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Psa. 34:7

Sadly, the snow is melted in Northeast Ohio today. But here’s one of the photos I took while in Narnia years ago …
There is a very strong possibility you and many others that have no snow now will see snow again this month. Possibly much more than you might want for a time.
The reason why I took up painting as an artist is because as a photographer, I was actually getting physically depressed when Northeast Ohio started going through winters where you were lucky to see a snowfall, much less have it stick on the ground for awhile. Elegant snow-covered branches and ice-coated creeks sure beat gray skies with brown bare branches. So I say, bring on the snow! 😀
You will definitely be in your element, booted and coated up, venturing out to take the stunning photographs such as those you have posted and which we all very much enjoy. Cant wait!! 😊

Kamienczyk waterfall located in Lowere Silesian region near south border. The highest in Sudetes mountain range. It is located in Karkonosze National Park. Photo taken in long exposition, taken during summer day. One of the location of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian movie.

I really did love the trilogy. I think it may be time to see them once more💕
I liked a song by this artist so I went searching for another release of his. I wasn’t expecting that not the song, but the video would creep up on me the way it did.
If you know, you know.
Thank a trucker today.
Will do…thank you, rah!!!!!
Your welcome but I wouldn’t have done it, if it didn’t pay well. BTW what he refers to as “Georgia Overdrive” is often referred to as “Hillbilly Overdrive” and other names. Going down hill on a straight stretch, push in the clutch, and let er roll!
I can’t let er roll because they have us wired and monitored and if you get over 72 mph much your gonna get a phone call from the safety department.
For my nearly 17 years of driving a big truck the noose of control has been ever tightening. Just because I understand why does not mean I like it one bit. Heck when I first started work for this company our trucks were governed at 72 mph and now if you let er roll down hill and exceed 72 mph much they’re calling you and threatening to make you go to safety school!
I would stay out a minimum of two weeks and stayed out running for six weeks once, back when I first got into this business. I paid my dues.
at a much, much smaller level I drive a small crossover SUV with standard transmission
my weekly music gig for a long time is “over the hill” – a mountain range that is only a 15 minute drive to cross
the highway designers engineered the grade really well
after I cross the apex I put the shifter in neutral and coast almost all the way down the hill to my apartment
a couple taps on the brakes keep me from going too much faster than the posted 55 mph and then I need to shift back into 5th gear for engine braking to start slowing for a 30-mph zone
it’s a real nice feel, glad I’ve got the manual trans
life’s small pleasures
Here where I live my daily commute has a 4.5 mile downhill, put the manual in neutral and coast the whole way. On another local grade I can get 11.5 miles, but in the more aerodynamic car, not the SUV. I love stick shift.
HIS HEALING HANDS
Lord – on our knees – we humbly adore You;
Lord – on our knees – we humbly implore You;
Help us – we pray – to meet needs and demands;
Touch us tenderly with Your Healing Hands!
For Barb, David, Tex and families/friends;
Our hearts are burdened; the need never ends;
For the lost, lonely, and troubled – we pray;
That they may be relieved of turmoil today!
There are so many, Lord – You know their names;
Who suffer – some who – the devil reclaims;
Help us, Lord – bring them back – into the fold;
Release them, Lord, from the evil one’s hold!
There is anger – there is strife – all around;
No peace anywhere – no peace can be found;
Electromagnetic – chemical hacks;
Through food, water, air – and mental attacks!
Military – who have returned – come home;
Are plagued by technology and syndrome;
Chips in the pills – and chemicals in drugs;
Wreak havoc on health – and the body slugs!
Sometimes, we wonder why You allow this;
Why You let him win – and us you dismiss;
Sometimes – at every turn – we dismay;
We can’t understand why he has his way!
Help us, Lord – to persevere and hold on;
Help us help others know where they belong;
Help us minister – leave all up to You;
Your will not ours – we accept and pursue!
Though we may suffer along with our friends;
Though our petition – our prayer never ends;
We trust in Your Love and Your Healing Hands;
We trust in Your Promise and Your Commands!
We pray fervently – In His Name, we pray;
The Blood of the Lamb protects us each day;
Through His Mercy and Kindness – we heal;
Our souls – we are confident – He will seal!
Touch us, Dear Lord, with your Healing Hands;
Help us keep up with the prayers and demands;
Help us – through Faith – be a blessing to all;
Through divine appointments – answer Your call!
Heavenly Physician – We implore You;
Lay Your Healing Hands – on those before You;
Shine Your Light on us all so that we may see;
The Glory and Honor that belongs to Thee!

Duchess, every night my inadequate prayers include those you have so poignantly mentioned. There are so many for whom I ask that in trials and troubles they may feel the comforting and guiding Holy Presence of our Creator.
How many there are!! And as He knows how many stars there are in the heavens and their names, and how many grains of sand there are on the beaches, we know He, according to His will, will make a way for all who call upon Him. There is great comfort in knowing this is so.
This is lovely. More than any other Holy Spirit inspired poem you have written and shared with your family in this overflowing Tree, I see your beautiful heart and concern for others very clearly. With sighs and great affection….your devoted sister🙏🏻💕
Bet, no prayer is inadequate because only God knows the heart – nothing wrong with your heart – Nope!!!
Yes, so many are suffering – and it is often hard to keep abreast of the multiple names in one’s prayer journal – BUT GOD KNOWS – so all you have to do is mention the name – and He receives your prayer!!!
When I was a little girl, I apologized to God for bugging Him with may requests – Imagine that!!!
I had no idea how BIG God was – until a minister friend told me God is the BIGGEST multitasker of all!!! LOL
And – remember the Holy Spirit makes utterances for us if we feel ‘inadequate’ in our prayer!!!
God is not only GOOD – but He is GREAT in His Gifts and BLESSINGS!!! 😀
God bless your loving heart real good, Bet!!! ❤️🧚🧚🧚
Oh bless, duchess. What a lovely reply, dear friend.
I remember Helen Keller speaking of how the Reverend in charge of her school taught her God’s name…
She told him she always had known God but just didn’t know He had a name.
Can you imagine?? In her deafness and blindness, He made Himself known to her. She knew Him!
That’s how big He is. So uplifting. An affirmation that He is always there.
And yes, our groanings are prayers, when then the Holt Spirit intercedes for us. And there is much comfort in that.
Lord love you always🙏🏻💕

So this morning there was a dog howling and whining in the yard behind us. It was a dog that had somehow gotten stuck in a fenced in yard and couldn’t get out. The neighbor put it in a cage and gave it water.
We decided the thing to do was take him to one of the two Daytona Beach Humane Society facilities and went and talked to the neighbor and he said fine. The poor thing had tumors all over him so who ever owned him wasn’t doing a very good job of taking care of him. No collar or tags but he was a nice gentle dog.
So we put him the back of the FJ on a blanket and took him. Turned out he had a chip. The people at the humane society gave called and found out who the owner was and said they would call to inform them they had the dog.
The owner in the meantime showed up looking for the dog and he was told where it was.
That song is one I have recently learned, and I enjoyed listening. Thanks for posting.
Got a call from my neighbor and friends to the north this morning. Phillis my sweet 98 year old neighbor to the south of us passed away last night. So sorry to see that Lady go.
