Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Historical note to the above:
God commanded Joshua to get up, arm up, and slaughter the pagan Commun… I mean Canaanites infesting the land.
Joshua’s response was:
a) to sit on his hands and say “God wins.”
b) to sit on his hands vainly repeating “If my people…”
c) to sit on his hands and say I’ll pray about it.
d) to sit on his hands and make a thousand and one excuses.
Or
e) to be obedient and get up, arm up and liberate the land.
The main reason for being condemned was their practice of child sacrifice.
I posted a reply earlier as “Evangeline” — which was a user name I used a long time ago. I don’t know why I used it today.
I said in that post that the condemnation of the Canaanites was due to their practice of child sacrifice
I am convinced that from the very beginning of this monstrous past few years the sacrifice of children to Moloch was the ultimate goal.
When Justice Kennedy gave cover to gay marriage, I felt that obscene and unconstitutional ruling was just the crack in the door which was looked for by those whose purpose, although not explicitly stated as such, is clear today.
That door has now been blown off its hinges. Our children have always been the target.
Who cannot understand what we are seeing? Through abortion, through the mental illness of “trans” ideology, through Pharmakeia through too many acts which I cannot describe. And all of it promoted and given “legal” cover by those who quite simply do not know that they are doing satan’s work.
There are unspeakable numbers of Canaanites today which have no concept of the power of God’s judgement… yet.
Those ‘Canaanites” of today…they know but turn blind eye to the Lord’s judgement….I had to look up the Canaanites for a refresher…child sacrifice, false gods worship, taboo sexual practices….
Yup, that ‘checks all the boxes’…and our government endorses it by providing a “protected class” status and allowing more stuff (gay marriage anyone?)….
The children of Fatima were told that “some marriages are not pleasing” to God.
It’s excruciating to see, Aggie, what is being done to and with our gifts from God. But what these children are experiencing? As I said to Della, I never knew I had that many tears in me.
Good afternoon Bet! God didn’t spare Israel because of their adopting the Canaanite practice of child sacrifice. Why would be spare the United States for practicing the same except in much higher numbers?
I can’t see he will, G…
And this. The biggest abortion centre in Dallas is shutting down.
The announced they are sad.
I announce that I am overjoyed.
Much more to do…🙏🏻💕

I am still getting used to this here tree.
Figuring out how it all works
I don’t always get back to spots I should have spotted.
So anyways, good evening, friend 🙂
I periodically re-scan the thread. and there is a little bell when you post the comment that if clicked on is supposed to send you an e-mail with every response that you get. I never use it, though.
I think we were heard in hoping the tree would fill out💕
Isn’t is glorious, my friend??!?!!🙏🏻
Your comment got me to thinking, Betsy.
The Canaanites in the Bible were referred to as a wicked, idolatrous people. Anti-God.
God is the Author and Giver of life – physical and eternal life.
Satan opposes God in everything by bringing destruction and death.
The evil advancing in our country/culture, is simply a battle between righteousness and evil.
Death of unborn babies; death of the family as designed by God; death of marriage as designed by God; death of the elderly, sick and disabled (by euthanasia or any means possible if they no longer benefit society); death in relationships (divided by differences of all sorts); death to health and well-being of people (Covid, environmental toxins, food pollutants, etc.); death to freedoms given by God.
And sure I’ve left out many things!
It appears that “death” is trying to overcome everything that God created “good.”
But thank the Lord, Jesus said He came that we might life and have it abundantly.
And those who know Him don’t need to fear whatever evil brings.
Oh Amen , Della!!
This spiritual battle is raging. We know this because suddenly the ferocity of the evil has reared its head, as you say so well.
It seems to have come out of the cover of darkness where evil always hides, well into the bright daylight so now we can all see it. Bold and unafraid. That there are millions who cannot perplexes me greatly. As if some spell has been cast upon them.
But we fight it where we can, however we can. We are the faithful battalions of Christ on earth, His eyes, His feet, His hands…and we know He is with is, even as His Father wages the unseen war of good against evil. 🙏🏻
“As if some spell has been cast upon them.”

Good morning, darlin’. Have a great day! A long-time friend—one of the several women in my life who simultaneously (and completely independently) stepped up to pull my creaky old butt out of a depression crash—took me out drinkin’ the other night. I called it bar-therapy and you know something? It works! 3 beers, some nachos, and we were home by 9. 🙂
And now I have a big ole smile….ear to ear!! Sounds like my sort of evening😁

One of the things as parents we hope to hear from our kiddos is “You were right.” Fortunately in my case I heard those words early on in my children’s adulthood.
Of course it would be easier if they listened in the first place….alas…😎
Good afternoon Patience and Bet! Late to the party today 😀 . Had my youngest son this morning to help me with clearing the mess from the ice storm. He came with a pole saw, I had my chainsaw out and we got the work done. I did most of the chainsaw work, he did most of the loading and unloading at the burn pile. The only thing left is to burn the stuff when we get some rain and the winds die down.
And we even managed to get rid of a couple of old rusted grills and some other junk. Didn’t harp on him today about Nipper. Saving it for next time.
😘 ❤️
Wow! And well done!
-“next time” 🤣😁. 😜
There is a time and place for everything, dear brother. You are a good judge of knowing when that will be. You are Nipper’s champion. No finer loving one exists on this earth. I do pray for your son to reverse course, for his sake and Nipper’s. It is not a lost cause to pray for it as I continue to do.🙏🏻💕
Good to know y’all got some cleanup done.
We are looking at severe weather incoming for tonight and wide spread tornado alerts until 10 pm.
The wind is whipping up something fierce.
It came through here and we are without power. Using my iPhone as a hot spot and as long as I have battery power in either I am ok. My ranch guy just called me to let me know that he was able to turn my mom’s generator on so she has power, PTL, and added that as he was driving to town he saw the PEC working. So if there aren’t muktiple downed power lines we may get power soon. If not, I may start the little generator to make sure that our water is on. But I’m stalling for now. ❤️
Dang!!! I saw a map which indicated you were within range. But if looked iffy…
Hope the power comes on quickly. Its unnerving to have “leccy” (British slang for electric).
It us hard and fast. Tornado sirens which went on forever. The worst blew through in about an hour, but there are some near without the “leccy”.
But it was the weird sounds which came…hubs saw a transformer arcing across the way.
The power of God’s creation no man can stop, though the worshippers of Gaia seem to believe they can.
didnt know you played the harp grandpa 🙂
LOL! Just the guitar molonlabe, just the guitar.
Good morning, Mr jay 😁
Not at my home in central Indiana. Last year the Robins arrived early and left early. I suspect this year they will arrive later.
Love robins. The British ones are small and sweet next to the bruises here.
Mom had a large pin oak and white oak that housed many squirrels and birds (cardinals, doves, blue jays, sparrows , owls, robins, etc.).
There were generations of robins raised in her yard.
They would come up to her kitchen windows to let her know when the birdseed would get low. Mom would also make sure the birdbaths were clean.
You would see them grow into adults, then they started to get white feathers as they got older. We just sold my mother’s house. The last time I was there I saw one of the patriarchs of the generations of robins for the last time. He was slightly larger, plump with a lot of white feathers. It was like he was greeting us for the last time.
Well now here come the tears, Donna. As I am certain they came for you on that day. Nothing else…just tears.
Bruisers!!! (Pre coffee comment)
That is one grumpy Robin!
Don’t get in his way today!
Haha! Wouldn’t dare!! 😂

3/1/2023 – The Parable of the Lost Son
Luke 15:11-32 “And He said, A certain man had two sons: and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before you, and am no more worthy to be called your son: make me as one of your hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight, and am no more worthy to be called your son. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: and bring here the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. And he said unto him, Your brother is come; and your father has killed the fatted calf, because he has received him safe and sound. And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve you, neither transgressed I at any time your commandment: and yet you never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: but as soon as this your son was come, which has devoured your living with harlots, you have killed for him the fatted calf. And he said unto him, Son, you are ever with me, and all that I have is yours. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this your brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.”
In the two preceding parables, the man with the lost sheep, and the woman with the lost coin, both put themselves to great exertion under distress to find the one that was lost. But in the parable of the lost son, the young man had to come again to his right mind on his own, and acknowledge his sin and unfitness as a son, in order to return. So in the first examples, it is as for something that can’t be restored without being sought after diligently with great care; while the other must do it on his own voluntary will. And the response in the father shows his overwhelming relief and great joy that “his son” had found his way home safe and sound.
It is very interesting how the father deals with the elder son, who is offended that the younger son should be so happily forgiven and received home with a feast. Having no such experience of, for one, having a lost son himself, and knowing the pain of worry and fear and hoping for him to be okay without any way to know for sure; and, thinking that all that made him a “worthy son” was about being good and keeping the rules all the time. The part that the self righteous and unforgiving elder son knew nothing about, was the love for the brother, the love for his father’s son. Yes of course, the father knew what sin and foolishness his younger son had gotten into; but that was the entire reason for his unspeakable relief and happiness, “that he received his son safe and sound!”
What is also interesting, is how, while the elder son seems so keen on how rotten and unworthy his little brother was, he was also at the same time envious that he had been given such a welcome home; while he had been the perfect son the whole time, and “got nothing for it!” So it is with these kind, who don’t think they have been forgiven much, that they also have very little love or appreciation. And look at how the father doesn’t give it back to the ugly insults of his elder son: while he could have had every right to remind him of his youth and inexperience in real life, and his pride, and how many times he missed the mark; but he doesn’t: he simply appeals to his moral conscience of love and compassion, that it is the right thing to do with someone like “your brother.”
This story always gets to me; because my own experience has been almost word for word what this younger son did. And in all the psychological issues around sinning and falling away, and being lost and destitute in the world, and somehow by a miracle out of the unseen, coming again to a right mind and looking up to God with repentance and true conversion; and then afterwards feeling the standoffishness of Christian brethren who never did such things: is a big reality we have to learn how to deal with.
The rejoicing and festivities didn’t pause or stop because of the hurt pride of the grouchy pants older brother, who “just couldn’t deal with it.” Whatever he thought wasn’t fair, or his imagined being overlooked or taken for granted; none of it was anything worth, and no reason not to receive his brother gratefully back home. And such is the devil’s way to work in the minds of the proud; that all that they trust in as their “being better than,” only puts them in an evil mind against their father, and finding no good reason ever to forgive. So, the repentance and restoration of the younger son, was a way also for God to find out what was in everybody’s heart; who would have otherwise been thought of as “always with the father, and equal partakers of all that he had.”
I am not taking the side of the grouchy older son but the father did remind him ( and all of us) that he would still inherit all that the father had to give.
And while the long lost son was so very much welcomed back with a great big feast and happiness all around he still would get nothing more because he had wasted his inheritance.
The older, faithful son would get it all and the younger son who everyone was glad to see back and safe would get nothing more.
He had been given his share already and it was long gone.
This is a part of the story I think many miss, do not know exactly how to take it in but it is there.
The younger son will not be thrown out into the cold cruel world but he will work for his older brother for the rest of his life some how after wasting what his father had already given him, there would be no more inheritance coming.
Hi Chloe, Its an interesting point you bring up. However the Lord said, that He would cast all our sins into the depths of the sea; and that all our former evils would not be mentioned, because we have done good; and for this we shall live. Also in the law of the priests, it is written, how that when any man should have it in his heart to come participate in the calling (I paraphrase), that he would have equal share with everyone else, besides that which he got from the sale of his patrimony.
I seriously don’t think that anyone who has wasted their substance before salvation, is going to find the Lord stingy and leaning in favor of the ones who never went astray. How about the ones who were hired the eleventh hour? The others had borne the heat of the day and the whole day’s burden; but the Lord gave these last, even as the first! Is it not lawful for Him to do as He wishes with His own?
So I guess my answer is, No! The Lord is not holding anymore account with those whom He has cleared. And therefore the older brother idea isn’t right.
Thank you for your reply. Please feel welcome.
I agree with you on all you say Michael.
I was just commenting on the parable where the father does tell the older son how he will still get “all I have” and asks the older son to rejoice in his younger brother retuning.
I do not understand this either and agree with all you say, knowing also that we are promised that our sins will be forgiven and forgotten.
I also know the parable of the workers being paid the same even though some do not work the full day,
This parable has puzzled me for a long time, wondering what that father meant when he reminded the older son that he would receive all while the younger son was welcome but had squandered his inheritance.
It really does not add up to everything else we are taught, there must be some other meaning to the symbolism of inheritance than salvation or eternal reward.
I’ve always taken the father’s comment to mean, Everything I have is already yours, because you are my son; and not especially that he was getting anything extra. In other words, if the older boy had any idea that he was his son, he wouldn’t have made such a surly and disrespectful remark to his dad. Another way to put it might be, So you think that you’re being mistreated or overlooked? Aren’t you my son, who I love? How could you think such a thing about what you mean to me? Everything I have is yours! What makes you think like that about me? and what makes you so hateful and unforgiving to your own brother? Don’t you love him, and want him to be alright? Would you feel better about yourself to just let him perish for his stupidity, to show the world how righteous you are? What is righteous about not showing mercy and compassion when you can?
I’m glad we can talk about this. I think its something a lot of people have trouble with. Mostly I think its a problem understanding, how mercy is righteous. Another look at what happened in the garden should clarify this for anyone who wants to know. God saw what had happened, and He judged it to be righteous to make a way of redemption; because Adam and his wife really would not have done that if they hadn’t been coerced and manipulated by the devil’s slanders and lies. The same goes for those whom the Lord forgives; He has respect for the broken and contrite heart, and the honesty and courage to confess it to God, in hope of reconciliation and acceptance.
It is a very interesting point to bring up mercy.
I never thought about it when reading this parable but it fits.
Not just love, forgiveness and repentance, but the father is teaching mercy also to his sulky older son.
The father is very patient to both sons, the one who sinned by wasting his inheritance and the one who is showing jealousy towards his brother and being disrespectful towards his father.
I have always given more attention to the sons in this parable and not so much on the father and how he handled the sons and their reactions and attitudes.
I am going to reread this parable and think on this one Michael.
Thanks for the insight!
Thanks Chloe! 🙂 The Lord be with you today.
“Wherever two or three are gathered together in My Name; there am I in the midst!”
Proverbs 11:25 “. . . he that waters shall be watered also himself.”
And I have always thought that Jesus gave us this parable, too, to show us how important parents are to a young family. We are to role model a loving God to our children – showing mercy and yet holding them accountable for their actions, always with great love.
You have made me remember a story my sweet mother in law told of her mother. I have posted this before, but the above conversation brought it sharply back.
Her mother had four children and reared them during the Depression. Astoundingly, someone asked her mother which of her four she loved best.
Her always gracious mother said, “Whichever one needs me most at the time.”
Can we view the situation of the father’s joy in the finding again of his younger son in the parable in the same way?
Or put differently…Luke 15:7
“Just so, I tell you that there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous ones who do not need to repent.”
And, as the mother of three, I can attest to the wisdom of a woman I never met but wish I had.
Good point Rileytrips/
I had always read this parable focusing on the son’s.
Now I can see it from the point of view of the father and I think you are right.
East Of Eden
I’ve heard of the title; but I don’t know the story/movie.
I know where the words are taken from:
Genesis 3:24 “So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”
Genesis 4:16 “And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.”

Who was the most upset when the prodigal son came home?
No, It wasn’t the older brother.
Who was the most upset when the prodigal son came home.
The fatted calf!
Can you imagine the view of the fattening calf.
The master loves me more than any other. I get more and better food. I hardly ever have to move a muscle. The only thing missing is the massages that those Kobe cows get.
I can just imagine hearing it sing that Karen Carpenter song, “I’m on top of the world, looking down ….”
Quite the surprise, when it gets led to the slaughter.

And so easy to get past the message with a little distracting humor!
Well, would you rather that we engage you in a rowdy religious row?
How about debating whether or not conflicts between scriptures are really just conflicts in what we think they mean? Or if my interpretation of one scripture can totally discredit another scripture? Or if any person can declare rightness of interpretation? Or if it is even possible to come up with a single, non conflicting, interpretation of all the scriptures?
And that is before even getting into the details of any one interpretation.
But seriously, it is not worth getting into such a debate. Nor is it worth destroying the nature of this Refuge.
And a little humor, especially the non-confrontational kind, helps the refuge too. A lot of good life-affirming comments have been made in response to your comment. Laughing at the fatted calf being even more upset than the ‘good’ son doesn’t detract from that.
Actually it would seem a more normal response. Heated discussion about serious matters are nothing to be scared of. Also its an opportunity to exercise brotherly love and humility, while we show respect for others we may disagree with. I strongly STRONGLY believe, that that is what’s missing from this generation; which our parents still had some, but our grandparents and farther back had: and that’s the ability to debate and discuss, heatedly at times, and still be neighbors.
I’m glad you bring that up, Jim, ’cause its really the kind of fire we need if there’s gonna be any kind of reformation or revival, that so many whine about. Am I wrong with that? Or do you think milk toast is better?
No offense; just sayin’ I think grown-ups can handle grave matters like adults, and disagreements and strong feelings don’t have to make enemies. Families that are normal fight; sometimes a lot! But you know who’s also gonna be there when the chips are down.
I think people are a lot stronger then they’re brave enough to know. Our hearts have taken a lot of cruelty and abuse from the world; we should really be able to melt of the impurities and worthless, and survive to bring forth the precious and strong quality that God has put in us; but just needs refining.
Just my opinion, my Brother.
I like good humor, that’s appropriate, and doesn’t step into disrespect for the holy things that Jesus taught. And I have no interest in changing the “nature” of this place. I’m inviting more involvement into fellowship. And we have to understand, that its okay that we sometimes have to forgive one another, while we learn how to fellowship.
Peace?
Earn a huge national award, in your profession, for original work you’ve created, watch how your friends and peers behave.
Don’t worry, you will gain new friends. As time passes, you’ll thank God for what He took away, and what He gave in return.
Yeah, I know; thank you for saying.
Its just easier I guess to let the possibility of maybe taking their souls and eternity seriously, to just slide down their back with a chuckle.
One really bad regret I have; is one time we were in a church, (we don’t go to church for lots of reasons), and the pastor was mocking the Our Father; turning it into a comic about football. I was so grieved, and I knew as I knew, that the Lord wanted me to just stand up right there and rebuke the blasphemy, and say, Mock not My Word! But I didn’t; I just sat there. I was so sorry for being such a coward. I really don’t ever want to do that again; to be afraid of what people would think or how they might react, or afraid I might choke.
Do you know what I mean?
Interesting, my friend, which made me think of this…
I wrote yesterday of my prodigal son who has garnered the attention of the president of his nationwide company. It was through a groundbreaking project, the first of its kind which he volunteered for, led, and
which will now, through the success of it will be implemented throughout the country.
In every question asked of him by the brass in this well known company, “I” was used only when necessary. He brought into his answers all he worked with on the project which got him noticed. He gave those men and women full credit for their efforts. They were a team, and he made sure the brass understood. Best of all, his team will understand it as well.
As my husband always told him, you are only as good as the people you work with. There is nothing truer. Or to put in that phrase everyone knows….
No man is an island.
So right!
And just as I posted to you about my prodigal son up thread, I start reading about the parable. Except mine hasn’t quite repented, yet. But with God, all things are possible. 😍
Hi Grandpa, I will pray for your son: In Jesus’ Name, that he would really have a revelation from God, with fearful and sickening visions of what everything is in God’s sight, and that he needs to flee to Jesus NOW! What did it for me; next to the ridiculous shame and worthlessness of what it all was; was the word which He gave me while I couldn’t “decide” to repent and get right with God; He said to me, in an audible voice, that instantly made me straight, You are not fit for the Presence of God. I pray that your son have a likewise mercy from God, and he not harden himself when it comes.
The Lord is with you Brother. He knows your sorrows, and He will not forget a thing, no matter what it looks like.
Thank you!
I’d hope you’d see it, G, and I saw your comment. When I wrote this and the full story last night, I was thinking of your son.
Because I’ve seen what His mercy and grace can do. We had no idea what the future held for a lad with no obvious skills and absolutely no direction or desire for direction.
Had you told me at our lad’s absolute lowest years ago that his life today would be what it is, doing what he loves and for which he never showed any aptitude, I would have eye rolled.
As Frank says, however, “But God…”
Those mysterious ways…and His guardian angels assigned. It was a work in progress, but all such has to start somewhere. So that’s what I hope for your son…and by extension for Nipper, Lord bless his young life. They are both so fortunate that your strong faith and prayers go before them. You will be heard. I am confident of it.💕
Today was hopeful. He worked really hard and was happy. So I know God is answering our prayers. And as I’m typing this the lights came on so I don’t have to go out and play with the generator. Hallelujah! I need prayers for my bride, too. Coughing and a fever.
Just answered your original post above…Hallelujah is right!!! So glad💕
Morning all!
The prodigals in my life have brought me to a new understanding of the dad.
What father would write the check for half his estate to an arrogant 18 year old demanding HIS share? Where is the faith that his sons eternal position would be better by writing the check?
So what happens if the Dad says no? Kid is still rebellious, still goes off on his own, still ends up in a pig pen. Without unmeasured Grace, the kid doesn’t have the belief that the dad has his best at heart and never even entertains the idea of going home.
Just as Jesus did with Peter, we are called to believe in the eternal potential of people and not the easily dismissed evidence in front of us.
Faith enough to write the check allows the possibility of redemption..
It seems a real mystery to us, how God respects our ability (and disability) to make our own choices and then have to deal with the choices we make. At the same time, He is searching diligently and worrying about us, and has no rest till He finds us. And then “IF” He finds us, what joy and relief in heaven! Because not everyone will be found.
My Dad would never have done that, “write a check for half his worth” and given it to me or my brothers, NO WAY! He was very keen to how inclined we were to be stupid and not do right; (even though there was no religious guidance in our house, that might justify his beliefs).
“Just as Jesus did with Peter, we are called to believe in the eternal potential of people and not the easily dismissed evidence in front of us.” – Well said, Brother! A big point that has taken a long time for me to see.
The popular, but unconscious notion, that God is like the Lincoln Memorial, just sitting there watching; doesn’t match our real experience, when we look at it all honestly. He watches over and guards us; and He also lets us go to be free-thinking and responsible for our decisions and actions.
Bible Study Help #12, ‘The Plan‘ Part 2
Revelation 13:8 “...all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him…” Any not ‘sealed’ don’t understand.
This disgusting, evil piece of garbage commonly called Satan, has other appellations as well:
Lucifer, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the greek tongue hath his name Apollyon, the great dragon, the accuser of our brethen, the destroyer, Beelzebub the prince of devils, the abomination of desolation, also the beast, the false prophet, the desolator, the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, has the power of death, a murderer from the beginning, a liar, the father of it. All taken from various Scripture [not cited for brevity.] ALL of those are the antichrist! It’s an office he holds, to perform his evil duties to test us! He so hates our Heavenly Father, the One True Living GOD, that he wants to deceive as many of us as he can, just to cause GOD pain! So we fight back, we study!
Why does Satan find this all so easy? With so many Christian teachers throughout the world, why can he still deceive most? He’s supernatural, and he really is that good at deception. He’s the best liar ever! Look at another example:
Daniel 8:25 “...he shall cause craft to prosper…and by peace shall destroy many...” Listen to any false teacher on this topic, they’ll tell you Satan will cause world war, destruction, mayhem, and death! Since they don’t understand GOD‘s symbolism, they don’t expect or teach that Satan comes into his power through peace and prosperity for the world [or so he says]. The whole world will believe it’s the true Christ when he’s an evil imitation! The antichrist lies, so we don’t believe him!
When we understand GOD‘s Word, we see it’s not a good report of the current state of the 2nd Earth Age:
Estimated population figures from 2015;
Agnostics, unaware antichrist is coming 1st. 100 Million not saved by the True Christ, will worship Satan.
Athiests, unaware antichrist is coming 1st. 100 Million not saved by the True Christ, will worship Satan.
Buddhists, unaware antichrist is coming 1st. 500 Million not saved by the True Christ, will worship Satan.
Folk religions, unaware antichrist is coming 1st. 400 Million not saved by the True Christ, will worship Satan.
Hindus, unaware antichrist is coming 1st. 1.1 Billion not saved by the True Christ, will worship Satan.
Jewish religion, unaware antichrist is coming 1st. 10+ Million not saved by the True Christ, will worship Satan.
Muslims, unaware antichrist is coming 1st. 1.8 Billion not saved by the True Christ, will worship Satan.
Other religions, unaware antichrist is coming 1st. 100 Million not saved by the True Christ, will worship Satan.
And the really shocking number, that hurts us to our core! Many are family, friends, possibly even Treepers.
Christian religions unaware antichrist comes 1st. 2.3 Billion not saved by the True Christ, will worship Satan!
Isaiah 66:16 “...by fire and by His sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD will be many.”
Revelation 1:16 “…out of His mouth went a…twoedged sword…” GOD‘s Word is the sword, it cuts & destroys lies.
Revelation 14:9 “If any…worship the beast and his image...” Apostasy [no understanding] causes many to worship Satan.
Revelation 14:10 “The same shall drink of the…wrath of God…the cup of His indignation…in…presence of the Lamb.” They believe they are ‘saved’ right up to the moment Satan is revealed as the antichrist standing where ‘he‘ ought not.
Mark 13:14 “…the abomination of desolation…standing where it ought not… (Let him that readeth understand…)”
Mark 13:18 “...pray your flight be not in winter...” Don’t be ‘saved’ in the wrong season [harvested by the antichrist].
2nd Timothy 4:4 “And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” Most prefer the ‘religion or teacher’ to whom they have grown accustomed.
Revelation 7:3 “…Hurt not…till we have sealed the servants of…God in their foreheads.” With Truth in their brain.
Revelation 7:4 “…the number of them which were sealed…an hundred and forty four thousand…” That wait for Jesus!
Sealed 144,000! Saved at the end of the 2nd Earth Age, who refuse to worship Satan, and will wait for the True Christ.
Only 144,000 saved, declared by GOD‘s written Word! We don’t want to be in any other group!
Jeremiah 39:16 “...Thus saith the LORD…I will bring My words…for evil, and not for good…before thee.” GOD states; ‘All those who don’t understand My Word, will worship antichrist, and we are going to witness these events.
Jeremiah 39:17 “But I will deliver thee…because thou hast put thy trust in Me, saith the LORD.” Because you study and understand My Word, I Am going to save you out of the hands of Satan the antichrist! [Not 2 separate entities!]
Of those that do study, not all will understand the Truth and take it to others. It is truly GOD’s will alone if we understand, share, and reach another of GOD’s children. Those who try, since we have “eyes to see and ears to hear“, face frustration trying to get others to “hear”. Yet we take heart in the message GOD provided to Baruch, the scribe of all of Jeremiah’s prophesy. Our Heavenly Father sent him a personal message, and we learn from that as recorded in 500 B.C.;
Jeremiah 45:2 “Thus sayeth the LORD…unto thee, O Baruch;” Directly from GOD to a lowly scribe. Baruch was feeling the frustrations of life in an evil world!. “Here I am, writing Jeremiah’s Words. Make 1 little error? Tear it up, start over!” No printing presses, sure weren’t any computers, worked by candle light, very few believed Jeremiah, besides Baruch! It must have all seemed so pointless! Yet 2,500 years later, we’re still learning from Baruch’s lesson!
Jeremiah 45:5 “...seekest…great things for thyself? seek them not: behold I will bring evil upon all flesh…but thy life I will give unto thee for a prey…wither thou goest.” “Prey” = gift. Have faith Baruch, I’m protecting you! Even with all the Truth [punishment] going down, GOD promised the job we do telling His Truth is important to HIM! He will watch over us, it’s all for HIS glory, not ours. We just need to study, learn, and help those who are willing to understand GOD‘s Truth.
Ezekiel 3:18 “When I say unto the wicked, ‘Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hands.” Everyone dies in the flesh, “save his life” means save his ‘soul’. If any understand yet don’t warn others to save their soul, GOD will demand an explanation! When we warn others, we are no longer responsible.
1st Peter 5:2 “Feed the flock of GOD which is among you...” We do our best to help others learn the Truth.
1st Peter 5:4 “...when the chief Shepherd shall appear...” He comes after Satan is revealed.
1st Peter 5:14 “...Peace be with you…in Christ Jesus...” Peace of mind if we understand His Word.
A Brief Synopsis:
1st Earth Age; Millions of years in the making, from GOD‘s chosen beginning, until Satan’s rebellion.
2nd Earth Age; From prior to Adam & Eve’s creation until the start of The Millennium [several thousand years].
Fig Tree Generation; From 1948, the start of the Generation, until the end of 2nd Age when The Millennium begins!
The Millennium; 1,000 years where all souls are in their spiritual body, but without the evil influence of Satan who has been locked in a pit. Satan will be loosed again for a short period of time at the end of The Millennium to test any who do not pass their test this time. It’s not a 2nd chance, rather a 1st chance, for those that have been falsely taught. GOD is always fair, He knows our inner most thoughts, if we understand, and even if we’ve been exposed to the Truth.
White Throne Judgment; The end of The Millennium, when all souls are judged according to our own decisions.
3rd Earth Age; A rejuvenated earth with everyone that has been judged worthy, living throughout eternity with GOD.
It’s all happening again, exactly as explained in GOD’s Word. Any who don’t understand what happened in the 1st Earth Age, won’t understand what’s happening in the 2nd Earth Age. Satan is allowed to take any and all who believe his lies. Those who prefer Satan’s plan more than GOD’s Plan made a choice, and are responsible for their decision!
1st Corinthians 10:11 “…all…things happened…for ensamples: …written for…whom the ends of the world…come.”
1st Timothy 4:15 “Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly…” Ignore tradition, we must think for ourselves.
1st Timothy 4:16 “Take heed unto…doctrine…thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear...” Truth saves souls! We explain GOD’s Plan to any that want to ‘hear’ and still be saved before The Millennium. For some;
Romans 11:8 “...God hath given them the spirit of slumber…” Until The Millennium when false teachings will be gone.
Matthew 11:15 “He that has ears to hear, let him hear.”

Thank you again, KP. I am going to try to print these. It will be easier for me to read and study them if I can sit in my softer chair and have my Bible right there with me. I really appreciate all the time you put into these lessons. Have a bless-ed day. Big smiley faces and praying hands. (Yep, you guessed it, I can’t do emoji’s!!)
You’re welcome. You’ll succeed in your printing endeavors so, GOD bless your studies.
p.s. I can’t seem to complete some of the functions here either [for instance installing an avatar] but when I place the simple equation of colon, dash, close parenthesis, the system automatically changes it to a smiley face. Interesting…

God, I believe that at this quiet moment I am in Your presence and you are now loving me. Come Holy Spirit.
God, I acknowledge Your love for me in the various gifts for which I am very grateful.
Thanks be to God.
God, Help me now to review the events of this day in order to recognize you in all parts of my life.
God, please forgive the times I have fallen short, and strengthen my attempts to follow you.
Lord, have mercy on me.
God, enlighten me so that I may follow you in my daily life.
Such a nice prayer Chris
I’m posting 4 videos from the California wild fires from the past few years. People who run into fires to save those who are about to perish are true heroes. And then there are those who, after the fire has gone, refuse to give up the search for possible survivors. All heroes. God bless them.
The first video is from 2017, the Bonsall fire at the San Luis Rey Downs Training Facility. The horses are Thoroughbred racehorses, the heroes were employees. Groom Leo Tapia shot this video. They saved hundreds of horses but sadly 40 didn’t make it. Some ran the wrong way into the hills while others succumbed from the smoke. The other videos are self explanatory.
Oh Patty, You make me crying!
I live a mile or so from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Forest fires seem to have become an annual occurrence. It’s heartbreaking – so much death and destruction because the powers that be refuse to allow any clearing of dead brush and trees in the mountains. It wasn’t always like this. It seems the ‘environmentalists’ who profess such love of nature are incapable of understanding cause and effect.
Yeah, I know; I lived in Southern CA most of my life. What used to be conscientious and intelligent “liberals” like my parents were; has degenerated into the worst perversion and pollution of all morals. Greed has replaced what used to be militant anti-greed; and with the refusal of moral restraint and any knowledge of God, has come unbelievable and astonishing stupidity on a soap box yelling at the rest of us!
Why can’t we do it like the Germans, and manage our forests and really care for the things God has given to us for OUR Country?
Anyway, thanks again for the very touching videos; it always does me good to cry over love and goodness.
Morning😊
Morning Patience! Hope you have a blessed day.
Awe …thank you.
A blessed and joy -filled evening to you, patty!
Of course you know this, Patty . . . The first step to becoming a hero is just showing up. There’s a good book—can’t remember the name offhand—about the Camp fire and its aftermath. Numbers of heroes showed up. 🙂
Yes, Garrsison, just showing up is the key. Over the past 5-6 years here the forest fires have become annual events. An entire community has developed to help handle the animal rescues.
People show up with cattle trailers (like those you see on the highways filled with cattle). Almost everyone with a horse trailer gets involved. Horses, goats, sheep, cattle, lamas, pigs, etc. are all rounded up and taken to the Porterville Fairgrounds where portable stalls are set up.
The local veterinarians get involved to care for injured animals. People bring in feed and water. Each animal is carefully tagged and recorded so owners can find them. All of this happens because of the locals who volunteer their time and resources to help.
Those in the mountains try to open all the gates for their pastures so animals in the wild don’t get trapped by fencing and perish.
It’s really quite a large undertaking that only works because so many people care and volunteer to help.
Just think, if all the vehicles to haul the animals were electric it would be an unmitigated disaster.
Did we ever figure out (did Carly ever explain) who “You’re So Vain” was about?
Part of her lyrics were supposedly referring to Warren Beatty. I always thought it was about James Taylor.
Some say it’s John Travolta
She said different verses referred to different people. She has only named Beatty publicly. (Second verse). Said he even thanked her for writing the song about her.
Carly Simon finally reveals who’s so vain in ‘You’re So Vain’ – Los Angeles Times (latimes.com)
Bless her heart, she got a lot of mileage out her song. 🙂
Could be. Not tellin’ just increases the value of the folklore . . . 🙂
Joe is right…. although I always found the line in the song ironic.. “You’re so vain, you probably think this song is about you”… is that really “vanity”, given that the song really IS about him?
The version of Mockingbird with Carley and James Taylor is one of my all time favorites
The mystery remains . . . 🙂

Happy Cursday Treepers. Sometimes, when we bond with our dog companions we find ourselves confronted with difficult complications. Our dog companions don’t live as long as we do and so, over time, they decline rather quickly.
Our border collie, Sweetie, was a beloved companion. I rescued her from the patio of a favorite restaurant where she’d rested a few days on their patio. She still had plastic pound tags on, so I suspected that she was scheduled for being euthanized when some caring pound employee had opened a door and let her out into the nearby public park . . . where she’d found her way to my favorite restaurant. She put her head on my knee, looked up at me with her soft brown eyes and I was captivated–“Sweetie” came home with me where she spent her adult years being my wife’s constant companion.
I never worried that my wife, who suffered from advanced Alzheimer’s and who loved walking Sweetie, would get lost because I knew that Sweetie would always bring her home. Sweetie was with us for 8 years. She was slowly declining and died quietly on our back porch knowing that she was dearly loved by us. She was resting quietly. I petted her, told her she was a good dong and then . . . awhile later she was gone.
Happy Cursday, y’all!
One on the left lives down the street and comes up every day to visit
Love it, love it, love it!💕
Made my ❤️ Happy!
OMG. That is an awesome picture. That makes me miss my “Sam”. Aka Samantha. She was my special friend, died the same year my husband died. I love Siberian Huskies and Malamutes. IMHO, Malamutes are the most loyal and protective dogs of all. I can’t get a companion dog now as it would probably outlive me.
I’m meeting 5 of my best friends on the rainbow bridge one day.
We miss all of ours, too, Dixie. And miss having one…
Great story, Dixie. Thanks for sharing it with us. Be well, love. 🙂
Back at cha… 🙂
That’s What Friends Are For
Friendship! :=) When I was in grad school I lived near the campus and usually walked home. My route home took me past a large fenced yard were a Sheppard lived. Over time we became friends—I’d usually stop and pet him on my way to and from school. Once he got to know me, he started bringing me his ball to throw. Yes it was just a medium sized white ball, but it was his prized possession and something he was trusting me with. Of course I always stopped for a game of catch with him. Good dog!
I had a sheppard too. Would sit down beside me on the driveway and growl deep down in his throat. I didn’t know if he was going to bite me or kiss me. LOL!
Nimrodman, I came back to this picture at least 5 times today. The last time I copied it so I could take it with me. Hope you don’t mind.
pleased it gave you pleasure, Dixie
as it does me
not my photo but collected it along the way
I don’t really know how it goes with animals; but my feeling is, that they are living souls of a kind; and there is someone looking at us from behind those eyes. The thing I think might suggest that we could see them again, is the fact that they are all put under our dominion; so when the sons of God are manifested, the rest of creation will also be released from what we put them under. I’m not afraid of standing up for that thought; whether the spirit of the man goes up to God, where it came from; or the spirit of the living creature goes down again into the earth, where it came from: God made everything living to come forth, and it lived. What then happens to that life created by God? God owns it, not the earth.
Perhaps because I’m not churched, I think of my faith as being, as the song says, “on the main line”. I think we’ll find dogs in heaven simply because Our Dear Lord loves us and wants us to be happy.
🙂
Good morning Garrison 🐶 here’s a cute pic that I think what your Sweetie might have been like for you!
Thought you might appreciate, dear sis💕
I found this a while back and have been saving for the perfect moment. I just knew it would happen!😘
And suddenly I am remembering this…
🤣
Maybe my favourite ever, GB😁
🤣
Sometimes you get the dog. Sometimes the dog gets you. Sweetie definitely got us. The plastic pound tags were a significant part of her mystery. Those tags were “internal only” and were removed when a dog was adopted or killed. I prefer to believe that somebody in the pound saw she was on their kill-schedule and conspired to turn this beautiful border collee loose in the adjacent park.
And that “somebody” was likely (unknowingly) directed by our Heavenly Father Who knew that your wife needed a companion…..
The threads of life are intricately woven.🙏🏻
You were chosen by your Sweetie, Garrison. I believe with all my heart it is so. What a life you gave her. Somewhere out there is one who will again take your heart…when the time is right.
Our son and his wife just said good bye to their “Sweetie”. So to repeat, somewhere out there, there is another who needs the love who will, in due time, find his way into their hearts.
How does it go??
Dogs lives are too short…their only fault really.💔
Thanks for the kind words, Bet. I’m pushin’ 80 so age is becoming a factor, although I think I’m in pretty good health. An older border collie perhaps?
Maybe a cat, Garrison? They have nine lives and can take care of themselves. Although music seems to be your anti-depressant. I read the daily thread but don’t comment much unless something reaches out and grabs me….like dogs. I love dogs.
Why not? Older dogs really need that love, too….just like us. 💕
When I still had my business a couple that were clients of mine always adopted older Great Danes. They would foster one and adopt it, then when the dog passed away they would get another one . And they always took a superb care of them.
with us, ours show up on the road by our gate, or in the case with Booger, half a mile down the road. 😁
I’ve told the story of the pile of Great Danes we nearly stepped on in a darkened pub in Shropshire one late afternoon. They aren’t long lived dogs anyway, which is sad, because they are magnificent animals. What beautiful loving people your clients were. What a lovely story.💕
The larger the breed the shorter the life span. That said, the one they had when I retired was getting close to 11 if I’m not mistaken. And my SIL’s German Shepherd is 10 and she is a big girl. Normally, she ran about 105 lbs but now she is 118. With SIL’s demetia she gets an extra meal quite often, which she never refuses. 😁

Good Morning all!
My daughters biopsy was successful and she is home and in bed. Pretty sore but otherwise seems fine. Results should come this week.
No matter what the diagnosis, it will probably be some time before surgery and so at this time, Sherry and I plan on heading towards home at the end of next week.
Thank you all for your prayers and best wishes.
💖💖💖
Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered!!! ❤️
Almighty God be with you all, rah. We all pray for the best news. Prayers continuing🙏🏻💕
You are most welcome rah.
Will keep up the prayers for you and your family for a bit longer.
Hope all works out for your daughter and you.
Praise the Lord! Prayers for favorable results.
Flagstaff, AZ got a good snow last night. At this time AZ have had the 5th snowiest meteorological winter on record.
In CA, despite massive snowpack and topped off reservoirs, the US government insists that there is a continuing “megadrought”. Yosemite snow fall has smashed a 54 year old record and the park is closed indefinitely due to the heavy snow cover up to 15 feet deep in places.

HAVE YOU FELT THE HURT OF THE LORD?
“Jesus said unto him the third time, Lovest thou Me?” John xxi. 17
Have you felt the hurt of the Lord to the uncovered quick, the place where the real sensitiveness of your life is lodged? The devil never hurts there, neither sin nor human affection hurts there, nothing goes through to that place but the word of God. “Peter was grieved because Jesus said unto him the third time…” He was awakening to the fact that in the real true centre of his personal life he was devoted to Jesus, and he began to see what the patient questioning meant. There was not the slightest strand of delusion left in Peter’s mind, he never could be deluded again. There was no room for passionate utterance, no room for exhilaration or sentiment. It was a revelation to him to realize how much he did love the Lord, and with amazement he said – “Lord, Thou knowest all things.” Peter began to see how much he did love Jesus; but he did not say – “Look at this or that to confirm it.” Peter was beginning to discover to himself how much he did love the Lord, that there was no one in heaven above or upon earth beneath beside Jesus Christ; but he did not know it until the probing, hurting questions of the Lord came. The Lord’s questions always reveal me to myself.
The patient directness and skill of Jesus Christ with Peter! Our Lord never asks questions until the right time. Rarely, but probably once, He will get us into a corner where He will hurt us with His undeviating questions, and we will realize that we do love Him far more deeply than any profession can ever show.

Good morning 🌳 Family
Thoughts for today…
Most of the time, I cannot add a comment regarding today’s issues…it’s because once I type the first several words…it will come spilling out and you won’t want to read what I feel inside! Especially before coffee! I know I must not be the only one…
So I have to say to myself…mentally and physically, let go and let God!
Psalm 119:126
I think you are a very special sister in the Lord. You try every day courageously and faithfully to find something you hope will bless and benefit your Christian family and friends. Then this guy comes along and says things about what you posted, and hurts your feelings. I am sorry Stevie, really; I never mean it to hurt you.
I wish I could know how better to tell everyone here, who I know love Jesus and want more than anything to serve Him, and be accepted of His people: but all I’m trying so badly to say to you and everyone else; I know you get comfort and encouragement in the writings you share; but aside from that; have you ever just taken a notebook and a pen, and written what YOU THINK, and what YOU HAVE SEEN out of your Bible reading?
I’m only suggesting that you exercise the gifts that God has given YOU, not Oswald Chambers’ gifts, or Charles Spurgeon’s gifts; but yours! They were here a long time ago; and served the Lord in their generations; and they are with the Lord now. Now it is our time, and our turn to work; and in case you didn’t notice (he said sarcastically), we have a work to do… the Holy Spirit has a work to do through us, in our generations; just like all our brothers and sisters who came before us.
My own opinion is, that this generation is so used to being spectators and sitting in the audience; the idea of actually participating in the Meeting is a terrifying idea; because no one has ever been taught or shown how to do that. But we can learn; I strongly believe we should learn.
Michael, For our generation, that was raised to believe that you did not talk politics or religion in polite society, that we were to be law-abiding, charitable Christians – it is very scary to suddenly be made aware that we are of the “fig-tree” generation, the Lord is coming soon, and we are now called to go out and speak the Word/Truth of God to as many as we can in order to harvest souls for Him. We are getting there.
Well said Riley, but you know what? the small group faithfully assembled and waiting in the Upper Room didn’t know either before the Holy Ghost came down and filled their hearts! What we need to learn, He will teach us; and all that the Lord said is to be our business and experience till He comes (John 13-17) He will do for us if we ask Him, and obey Him.
I know for a fact, that John the Baptist, and all the prophets, would be considered rude and impolite today; while they try to shift the focus of God’s light away from their failure and neglect. We know that there are no more loving and trustworthy souls, than those who love Jesus and seek to serve Him. It has turned out to be a disaster and a horrible sin, that the churches have cowered and backed down for fear of the world not liking them.
We aren’t coming to start a fight with anyone, but we will be the cause of disturbance and divisions, just because we say the truth and have the Holy Spirit.
Dear Michael, I will try to answer your post…
I’m perplexed! I’m not sure why you say you hurt me. I don’t recall you saying anything to do that. So you’re good to go LOL! Maybe I didn’t clearly explain my post above…it was about commenting on political posts and my smoldering anger at the hypocritical politicians that serve themselves today. Sigh…
And yes, I have many personal pieces that I have in a notebook. I have posted original thoughts and poems here on OT on occasion. Maybe it will help you to know that I work a job, I’m a caretaker, and manage two households. And the worse thing about me is that I’m an introvert…a serious introvert which means I prolly won’t post much of my stuff. Sometimes Michael, people are in different places on their journey than where we are. I do what I can with what I have. I post Chambers because he has been so very beneficial in my spiritual growth. And yes, I feel that at some point and time, it will help someone else. Many of our silent visitors to our treehouse may never have heard of Chambers or Spurgeon to reap the lessons therein. How can we deny them the old school of principled direction?
I do know that God is getting this current generation (regardless of our ages) ready to stand strong and be powerful witnesses for him. I know that I am ready to do my part whatever that is and I’m sure that you feel the same way.
Peace and Blessings Michael! 🙏🙏🙏
Gracious, Stevie, you are busy! No wonder you drink all that coffee! 😁
I do thank you for your posts because it is an act of love with so much already on your plate.
From one introvert to another, I found this awhile back:
“Introverts aren’t out of touch with the world around them;
they’re so in touch, they can take only so much of it.”
😊 🌸 😏
OMGosh…that is so true! Reality can be brutal and seeking the Lord can sometimes be our only rest! Thank YOU 😊😁💝
🤗🥰
Some of us get a lot of benefit from Cautious and Reserved types, that somehow have the good sense to hold back a little! 🙂
😁 😁
Another principle I remember:
A wise person has said, “Never miss a good chance to keep your mouth shut.”
Oh Della……yes…times a thousand!!!😘
Thank you Stevie; you have comforted my heart. I thought, that because I had something to say about what Chambers or Spurgeon wrote, you were offended. Afterwards (as usually happens), I think about how you might have felt. That’s what I thought your post last night (this morning) was about. :/
I appreciate you have a lot to care about. And what you say about the quiet ones and new-comers; is the whole point. The Holy Spirit is your divine guide and helper and teacher, inside you; I just want to encourage you to share what God shows you personally, a little more; and when you have time, to review and reply to my posts. I value your opinion and insights.
That’s all.
Peace and blessings to you too, Stevie! 🙂
Thanks for answering!
P.S. . . . I share your sighs and griefs about the way the world is going; and so does the LORD! I read the Prophet Habakkuk again yesterday; and it is just exactly what we are experiencing and witnessing now! From the opening sentences, to the imminent punishment on its way, to our place of waiting on the Lord and not letting the fear of the times cause us to deviate, to the faithful enduring to the end . . . I don’t call the smaller Books, “The Minor Prophets” there’s no such thing as major or minor, if all are speaking God’s words, and giving all the message He is sending. And the apostles told us to “take heed to the words of the prophets,” as they are our light for getting through this time, and understanding what we should do.
You are right, sweet sister, as I understand only too well. What I intend to post because of a comment I’ve read I mean to be short.
But somehow it never works out that way. My original thought leads to another, then to another, and pretty soon out it all spills…
Knowing you and how precious you are and how much you bring to this loving Tree, whose branches have suddenly started to spread (which Molonlabe so accurately observed) and are bearing such nourishing fruit through, I am convinced, the presence of our Lord and Redeemer? I say let it come!!
As I’ve said before, your daily offerings inspired me to timidly search for a vacant branch. It is because of your beautiful spirit that I am here.
So, coffee or not, and as the Spirit moves you, I for one would welcome anything you have to say. No, indeed you are not the only one.
It has been said that one can choose one’s friends but not family. But I say this place is the bright exception to that old saw.
We are friends first, of course. And then, through our sharing of thoughts and experiences with one another, we are drawn closer so that now we are family… a big beautiful loving one from whom we gather strength in this fallen world and one we have chosen to be a part of.
Let it flow, dearest friend. I’m pretty certain we’d all welcome whatever you have to say…with much love😘
Thank you Betsy!!! You know my top burden is the J6’rs! I cry every time I read another article of the abuse they are suffering…all because people lied! It’s why I can hardly comment on articles with a political bend. I just can’t anymore. I will spew all the anger and anguish I hold inside and so only share it with my Father in heaven. My post was trying to be a justification for not participating much in that area.
I do love my Father in heaven more than anything in this whole wide world. And I’m trusting Him to fix it! What’s the name of that song…he’s got the whole (wide) world in his hands??? That’s not how it goes but maybe close…haha!
Love you so much sis…may God Bless and keep you! 💝
Afternoon juststevie, Now I’ll be humming that song in my head for the rest of the day. 🙂
Sometimes it helps to unload and if you ever need to, that’s what friends are for.
Haha….good evening grandpa! 🤗 Here you go…(and thanks for the post)!
I’m the same way. Plus its safer to be prudent in these times.
I’ve read your answers above.💕 You expressed, dearest soul, in such a poignant way so much about yourself that makes me love you all the more.
If I say I understand, I mean it. I was a terrible introvert at one time when I was much younger. I don’t know what changed me.
But as you know because we’ve discussed it, the two of us, I do think you and I are very much alike in how deeply we feel about cruelty, injustice, children….and the most horrid of all, seeing it all and not being able to do anything about it. Knowing the suffering goes on, inflicted by those who seem to enjoy it, whose own souls are shriveled, if they exist at all. And that is when I have to look away also…
I won’t go on, except to say I found myself in anguish the other night, asking God “Why?? ” Just that one word…I’ve cried so many times for so many whose situations are not of their own making and for whom there seems to be no relief, no respite, no way out.
So I am with you, dear sister. At that point, the one thing we can do is say to Almighty God our Father, “We must leave everything to You, Lord,” not knowing His purposes, or His timing, or His reasons…
…but knowing without doubt He has not abandoned those in terrible places. Keep your peace, sweet juststevie, as best as you can. Not easy… I do know.🙏🏻😘
You hit it right on the head! 🙂
I always heard, “Keep it simple, Stupid!” I really try, believe it or not.
I process, too, Michael….as I am writing.
I stop, go back, review what I’ve written, edit…but most important, I re-read as if I were the people who will read what I’ve posted.
I won’t say it is a simple thing to do, but you’d be amazed how much I wipe out before I hit “send”.😉
(Of course as day follows night, after I do hit ” send” and walk away, I often think of something to add…t’was ever thus.😊)

How about mending broken fences? How about a brother or sister offended? I know how very personal things can be accidentally stepped on, by those who simply weren’t being considerate. But can you tell me, Poyeema, How does one speak his mind on a relaxed and natural level, without having to be afraid of people being hurt and offended; I’m speaking specifically to religious loyalties, and certain amounts of individuals’ identity tied up in their devotions they share.
I have posted things from Smith Wigglesworth, and Derek Prince; both of whom I have a great deal of respect for, and I look forward to meeting them one day in glory: but if someone were to voice disagreement or question what they said; it isn’t so personal to me, that I cut that brother or sister off! I want to talk and see what the word says, and if our understanding of the doctrine is sound. Can any human miss a few things? Everyone can miss a few things, as long as we’re on this side of heaven. But it isn’t something to be content with, not knowing; but something for us to work together towards.
We look back on the history of the church, and wonder, How in the world they couldn’t come together as brethren, in the same Spirit and in the same mind and soul; and hammer out the differences by what he Lord says? Yet it still goes on today! In some ways; yes truly, in many ways; the children of this world are wiser than the children of light. They can figure out how to make things work, how to process and compromise, for the best of everyone involved. Christians however, except when we’re being lavished with praise and reassurances, tend to isolate and separate and have no room in their brain, or any need to listen to what others think. But just because we listen doesn’t mean we abandon our convictions; but we do open up the possibilities for treating one another like we want Jesus to treat us.
Sorry for the long reply. But I do want to know what you think about these things. Thank you!

MORNING
God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction. Gen. 41:52
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. II Cor. 1:3-5
Now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. I Pet. 1:6, 7
The Lord stood with me, and strengthened me. II Tim. 4:17
Let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. I Pet. 4:19

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. Heb. 4:9
There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest. There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor. Job 3:17, 18
Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; … they … rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Rev. 14:13
Our friend Lazarus sleepeth…. Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. John 11:11, 13
We that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened.. II Cor. 5:4
Ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Over at WUWT, which is the most frequented site on the internet about climate and related issues, there are a significant number of posters that not only do not believe, but also try to mock those that do so at any given opportunity.
I have learned that arguing with them is a waste of time. So when they go off, I just tell them “I’m so sorry for those have not ever felt his presence”. It lets them know where I stand and what I feel. And I leave it at that.

Good morning!
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
Good morning, dear duchess. And yet again, your Spirit moved selections today have married so well with other offerings above.
I found these in a field and picked them just for you. Blessed be the day in front of you. And may Almighty God, our Father, fill your young friends with His loving and gracious Spirit as they work through their trials.
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

Thanks, Molon!!! Hope and Pray your day is fun-filled with new discoveries!!! 😀
God Bless!! ❤️
Let me just say this… Every morning I read this thread and pay most attention to several Treepers for their Scripture and comment posts. Hats off to WP, Michael, Just Stevie, Patience, and…many others who comment on these posts about our precious Savior. If I didn’t list your name, it’s because the grey matter fails me often
Sets the mind right before I head out to work. Thanks to you all.
Good Morning George!
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I have been (clumsily) petitioning my brothers and sisters here to launch out into the deep, and let down their nets for a draught. What I mean is, that while sharing things from others’ writings are meant well and are very personal expressions of love, for Jesus and for each other; I strongly believe that God wants everyone to learn how that we all have the holy Spirit, and gifts especially given by Jesus for the healthy and complete functioning of the body.
As I was just saying to Poyeema, my opinion is, that most of us have never seen it done, and have never learned how to even do it; mostly because we are raised to just sit quietly in the audience, and let the “professionals” direct how the Holy Spirit moves.
The Lord has brought me along a certain way; which I do not think is special for me at all; but maybe for helping others who don’t know if they can… When I have my Quiet Time, when I first get up; I take my Bible and a notebook and pen; and I pray and read what I feel impressed to read. Then I write down what sticks out to me from what I read. Over the time (if someone isn’t used to doing that) it gets better; as you are forced to think about what you write, and put your thoughts in a way that’s somehow intelligible.
Anyway, I don’t want to talk about myself; I just want to know if I can get others to have a meeting with me, on this platform. Not a physical meeting, but a Bible study; a lively discussion; multiple participants exercising the gifts of the Spirit? I want others to write what the Lord shows them, so we can have fellowship like its described in the New Testament. Just because we do it over the internet shouldn’t be a problem for the Holy Spirit, when He sees we’re serious about it.
Let me know what you think George..
Peace and blessing to you and yours in rural Arkansas! 🙂
I am praying for you and the little flock you’ve been charged with watching over.
The Lord bless you Brother.
Michael, thank you for your kind words. I seem to be developing a ministry to help others MAINTAIN their faith and hope in the Lord. I lean on these scriptures:
2 Corinthians 13:11
Galatians 6: 10
I have no time for argument for argument’s sake. I do see results with soft answers, no malice in my voice OR my eyes. The troublesome times we are in require an extra measure of compassion and love. I once was the man in the ditch who was helped by a compassionate soul. My burden is to return the favor, to the glory of my God.
Be well sir! Continue the good fight of faith. You never know who will be helped.
George
Thank you so much George for your post. It means everything to me (and others that post) that someone is getting blessed with the scriptures/posts! God Bless and keep you safe in His keeping! ✝🙏
Psalm 138:1-3, 7-8
R. Lord, on the day I called for help, you answered me.
I will give thanks to you, O Lord, with all my heart,
for you have heard the words of my mouth;
in the presence of the angels I will sing your praise;
I will worship at your holy temple
and give thanks to your name. R.
Because of your kindness and your truth;
for you have made great above all things
your name and your promise.
When I called, you answered me;
you built up strength within me. R.
Your right hand saves me.
The Lord will complete what he has done for me;
your kindness, O Lord, endures forever;
forsake not the work of your hands. R.
Good morning, my friend.
So thick and broad have our branches grown, it has taken me longer to reach your day’s offerings.
Thank you for this beautiful Psalm. And thank you for all the glorious gifts you have brought with you as you have settled so wonderfully in your chosen branch, which I am so sure was waiting just for you. What a blessing you are to all of us.🙏🏻😘

Hello Molon! Hope your day was pleasant . Antiquing is one of my favorite and relaxing past-times.
We have quite a few stores in my area, and it’s always a treat to go.
Smiling, kind people are the best, right!🥰💐
Hi Miss Della
Wish i saw your reply earlier.
I am fortunate to have a place near me (nothings really near me), that is what they call an antique mall.
It is huge. many many venders. each vender has their own little area about half the size of a small store. I think there is about, oh I don’t know about fifty of them. And the inventory is constantly rotating, always new stuff. its built in a big circle so i just wander through. love it there. my house is full. nobody works the shops. it’s just all there, nobody mans the booths. just a cash register guy keeps track of sales. so, nobody is looking at you when you’re browsing. i love it.
You’re fine …I checked in late here today, spent the morning baking and then chores.
Your antique place sounds much like ours. I visit about twice a month, but would go more if closer.
It’s the simple things in life that I enjoy. Hope you have a peaceful, restful evening.
Praying for all in the storm’s path out Midwest. 🙏🏻😕
You would adore Britain, Della, if for that alone. Thousands upon thousands of them!
My small Welsh town was the same…no shortage of smiles and chat and catching up.
And antique shops?? I’m surprised all the ones we visited in Blighty (and bought from) didn’t have a sign that said “Bet was here!!! Again!”
I was in heaven just going through everyone we crossed.
I hope you came back with a smile on your face. Bet you did😁💕!

When I first glanced at the attached article and picture, the former America lover in me was revolted by the Chicoms obvious dawning of international leadership/dominance.
Not so much now.
I’ve moved on from the America of my naive dreams to what I’m certain is clear eyed reality.
“Americas chickens are coming home to roost.”
Now I say to myself: “Too bad. So sad. Deal with it.”
And I do. I look to Jesus. The alpha. The omega.
…and I laugh at the big bright beautiful future mine…through no merit of my own AT ALL. 🙌✝️🙌
We are under a judgement from God. He put us on notice on 9/11/01, and we still (as a nation) have not repented and turned back to Him. Until we have a national revival and turn back to God, things will continue to get worse, sadly.
My beloved doesn’t often surprise me. But she did this morning as we were sipping coffee together.
She asked me who I thought should handle the funeral service for her momma.
I told her to call Casey. He’s my 88 year old retired pastor friend.
She asked if I’d handle it. I was stumped. I told her that she better ask her 4 siblings, telling her I was certain that wouldn’t go over well. She told me she already did.
You have a wonderful, precious woman!! God Bless You both and help you thru this time of sorrow. Praying for you both.

I Love this:
Florida lawmaker files ‘The Ultimate Cancel Act’ that will hold Dems to their own standards (bizpacreview.com)
Yes it is a stunt, but a very effective one I think, and one, that if we had enough conservatives in congress that should have been tried long ago.
The democrat party was the party of slavery. They started a Civil War over the fear that the expansion and existence of their “peculiar institution” may have been threatened.
And it also pointedly highlights the democrats hypocrisy in trying to force “reparations” on those that had nothing to do with events in the past.
If you don’t believe that the means justify the ends…..
Then 650,000 plus deaths to end slavery in the USA seems a horrid means to an end.
Other countries managed to end slavery without such a bitter bloodletting.
Discount all preconceived notions. It’s tough but try. Why caused the worst war in US history?
What causes wars? Power and money. There is always that “golden watch” driving men and nations.
Where was the money pre-Civil War? Where and how did the Federal Government gather its revenue?
Tariffs which were generated on cotton, tobacco and other ag products which had to be transshipped through NYC to foreign ports after being collected up by coastal steamers. There was a levy so large as to render direct shipments from southern ports unthinkable and cost prohibitive.
An independent and directly competitive free market next door instead of an economic vassal state was intolerable to the bankers, merchants and textile manufacturing in the North.
Money and Power, its always money and power freeing the slaves was almost an afterthought but a handy political bludgeon still effective unto this day.
shrug…….sigh……let the outrage fall where it may…facts are stubborn things.
In light of current events can you not see the past with a more enlightened view? Yes the South and slavery was wrong but I maintain the killing and the formation of the first military industrial complex was worse.
Even more destructive was that the conflict was used as an excuse to forever imbalance our constitutional republic. Harmful amendments in direct conflict with the framers; 10th amendment state governments hold on the US Senate was removed. 14 amendments poor wording and poor interpretation allows for “anchor” babies.
A fundamental concept of our Republic was twisted. Which is the more immoral act? Corruption? Slavery? Mass killing?
Ask a banker.
The “directly competitive” southern “free market” was based on slavery at every level! You can’t talk around that fact! From banking and credit, to agriculture, to land ownership. It was basically all based on slavery. All of it, relied upon the income that slavery wrought.
Plantation owners used slaves as collateral for loans to buy more land so they could grow more crops to buy more slaves.
If you were a white man, not in a profession such as Law, Teaching, Finance, or a Doctor or such, and not in the slave train in some fashioned your prospects of advancing your position and improving your condition was dismal. Tradesmen were looked down upon and white trash.
Well before the war the distribution of wealth was being consolidated into fewer hands and the trend was accelerating with larger plantation owners buying up the smaller ones. It was a system doomed to failure eventually and that was primary reason why the expansion of the “peculiar institution” was so important! The other being the maintenance of domination of the democrat party in the National government.
When the south went to war they had not 1/8th of the industrial capacity of the north. Not 1/3rd of the milage of Railroads. No where near the quality and quantity of roads. And the vast majority of the immigrants were going into and staying in the north because that was where they could find work.
Before the war some northern financers tried to establish mills and the supporting industry in the south and it was a failure because to have allowed such a thing to happen it was feared would establish a new class that would have the resources to eventually wield the political power to challenge the slave owners.
Rah
My asking of questions was not directed at anyone.
I question all history since history is in the eye of the beholder who recorded it. If we’re not all looking at recent history with new eyes we are doomed to fail again for example.
I hope we all can agree that wars since WWII are questionable and that Ukraine is shaping up to be a disaster.
Hope your daughters results are great and you have good times with the grand kids
In this case the history for the cause can be learned from the original sources. Newspaper clippings, speeches, financial records and statistics, etc.
It was not tariffs or duties which resulted in bloody Kansas, John Brown, etc.
The point I’m making is that those that claim that the war came about because of financial factors is a distinction without a difference because the foundation of the economy of the south was slavery.
Still the primary question remains was a 650,000 plus death toll the only answer?
And you make the partial point that it would have collapsed under its own weight as many at the time believed.
The most telling point for me is that Lincoln was going to let the remaining forts go until a delegation from NYC representing merchants and the longshoreman docks met with him in DC.
The media at the time had its own viewpoints.
Welp I typed this to provoke thought not to provoke people. So pardon my poor attempts.
The most famous case of freeing slaves was Exodus……
Basilica of St Francis Umbria Italy
Peace Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
Divine Master,
Grant that I may seek not so much to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For in giving we receive,
In pardoning we are pardoned,
And in dying we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

Sean Hannity, Maria Bartiromo & Jeanine Pirro: Top TV Stars Tipped To Be FIRED In Rupert Murdoch ‘Blood Sacrifice’ Over Fox News Election Lies Scandal (msn.com)
Hannity really is not in the same league as the others, so his absence may not hurt the network.
This wouldn’t be the first time Judge Jeanine has been fired. We’ll have to wait and see.
Sorry, I clicked on the link. Just reading a few lines from msn.com made me want to puke.
