Kyocera, one of the largest chip component manufacturers in the world, believes China can no longer play its role as the global factory amid heavy sanctions from the United States, and the company has begun shifting production to other places, including Japan.
“It works as long as [products are] made in China and sold in China, but the business model of producing in China and exporting abroad is no longer viable,” Hideo Tanimoto, president of Kyocera, said in an interview with the Financial Times. “Not only have wages gone up, but obviously, with all that’s happening between the United States and China, it’s difficult to export from China to some regions.”
Kyocera is building its first factory in Japan in almost 20 years.
On Oct. 7, 2022, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced new export restrictions on chip manufacturing and advanced semiconductors in a bid to prevent American technology from being used in the development of the Chinese military.
Tanimoto admitted that the U.S. export controls were a reason why the firm cut down its operating profit forecast for the year by 31 percent. Kyocera commands a 70 percent market share globally in ceramic components used in chip-manufacturing equipment.
“If chip equipment makers stop shipments to China, our orders will be somewhat affected … They are now even [being] asked not to ship their non-cutting-edge tools,” Tanimoto said.
Back in 2019, when the Trump administration had imposed tariffs on China, Kyocera had moved the manufacturing of copiers for the U.S. market from China to Vietnam.
Many companies have moved production out of China or plan to do so.

James Riady also visited the White House over a dozen times and his visits were scheduled through Mark Middleton.
When asked in the House committee hearings on campaign finance abuses that occurred in 1996 whether he conspired with government officials in China or elsewhere to illegally funnel contributions to the Democratic National Committee or the Clinton-Gore re-election campaign, Middleton took the 5th Amendment 28 times … the highest ranking Clinton administration official to do so in Chinagate. And Janet Reno did nothing.
Mark Middleton committed TREASON and got away with it because of the Clinton and the UNIPARTY. Concerned with what he knows … perhaps even where the bodies are buried … they likely sent in a clean up crew to silence him permanently.

I’m curious what a kinetic war with Russia would be like. I dont really think nukes would be part of equation…..of course if they are then this is a moot question. But, if kinetics with Russia does happen it does “need” to be none of these proxy skirmishes of the last 20 years. Something a bit more newsy? Air dogfights. Naval operations? Anything on US shores? Would they put standard munitions on subs or something to at least sting the US land and cities? Would Europe be the playground like WWII was?
It would be a relentless, long, bloody, grinding, conventional war that ultimately will be decided by manufacturing. By the fact that Russia and China can still do it, while America and Europe no longer can.
So, we would not win it.
A billion-dollar missile will not take the place of 100,000 artillery shells and rockets per day, and the raw capability to produce and deliver them.
A Patriot system, which actually costs more(!) than that, burns up just as well as anything else. Plus, you don’t have three years in order to manufacture more $600,000-apiece rockets for it. In an actual battle, you might need to fire 500 of them per day, and you very simply don’t have them nor the capacity to produce them (and deliver them) rapidly.
After a week or so, it would become a useless thing that you would blow up and abandon. Along with your tanks, which have run out of diesel, lubricants and jet fuel. “Now what?”
Naval operations would be useless because the battles are far inland. Fighters have impressive penetrating power but can’t carry much.
And, “forget nuclear.” There is no bypass to what I described in the first paragraph.
We would not win it. Neither would NATO, which has never been tested in any battle against a first-class enemy, and which has never done well even in much smaller and simpler conflicts of its own choosing. We have “prepared” for war as it does not exist.
