Here’s How “Prosperity” Ends: Global Bubbles Are Popping

There are two kinds of prosperity, one fake, one real. Bogus “prosperity” depends on credit-asset bubbles inflating, magically creating “wealth” not from labor, production or improving productivity, but from the value of assets soaring as bubbles inflate.
This bubble-generated “wealth” then fuels a vast expansion of credit and consumption as assets soaring in value increases the collateral available to borrow against, and the occasional sale of soaring assets generate capital gains, stock options, etc. which then fund sharply higher consumption.
When the value of a modest home skyrockets from $200,000 to $1,000,000 in a few years, that $800,000 in gain was not the result of any improvement in utility. The house provides the same shelter it did when it was worth 20% of its current value. The $800,000 is gain is the result of the abundance of low-cost credit and the global search for a yield above zero.
When an investor bought the modest home for $200,000, the costs of ownership were low due to the costs being linked to the value: the property tax, insurance and mortgage were all based on the valuation. (The costs of maintenance were unrelated to valuation, of course, being based on the age and quality of construction.) Let’s say the modest house rents for $1,500 per month.
The investor who buys the modest home for $1 million has much higher costs, even if they bought the property with cash and didn’t need to borrow money (i.e. obtain a mortgage). The property taxes and insurance are much higher, and the comparable market rent of similar houses reflects the expected yield on investing $1 million: if investors expect a 3% yield after all expenses, then the rents have to rise so the investor/owner nets $30,000 annually.
Due to the valuation increasing in a bubble, the rent is now $4,500 per month, even though the house hasn’t materially gained any utility at all. The rent has to be high to justify the purchase price of $1 million.
This is why all credit-asset bubbles are self-liquidating: once the cost of credit drops to near-zero, there’s no discipline left: any loan for any investment can be justified by the “guaranteed” increase in value / collateral. Since everything will rise in value, then it makes sense to leverage up as much debt as possible to gain control of as many assets as possible, as the means to maximize gain.

When I lived in Scottsdale, Arizona, in a lovely brick home that had been built in the early 60’s in an unassuming but quiet neighborhood, it became extremely annoying when my mortgage payment kept going up (precipitously) due to embedded property taxes. I finally sold the place, of course for a profit, and moved far away to the country.
Our troubles here now are that “we own land,” and some developers would rather raise $300,000+ crackerjack houses set 40 feet apart than sheep. Our property taxes are going up each year because of this pressure, although not to the same degree. Our paid-for land is not for sale.

The “set backs” are determined by the municipality. I’ve seen them a low as five feet from the property line putting McMansions ten feet apart. Truth is, if they’re stupid enough to buy, somebody is always clever enough to build. My town no longer issues permits for single family homes.

I lived in Scottsdale in the late-90’s. We drove through the north end (I-17 to 101 loop to I-10) last May and I couldn’t believe how much the area has blown up.
I worked a season at Motorola in Chandler in ’96, at that time the plant was the very SW edge of the sprawl. I lived in a motorhome in a tiny little Indian village called Casa Grande, a 20- mile drive thru the desert to work.
I passed thru there a year ago on my way back to Florida, and was stunned at the density. How few more years before Tucson and Phoenix become a single megametropolitan zone?

People often forget that those new developments bring families with schoolchildren, and then all of a sudden the existing school system is inadequate, requiring new construction and hiring more teachers, etc.

We too are property owners, and have done quite well.
By a combination of luck, sacrifice and good fortune ( we live in Greater Vancouver B.C.) which is an attractive location for inward migration and immigration.
However when you say your land is not for sale is laudable, and likely true for you.
Taxes here and “ soft costs” even on mortgage free properties have deemed the homes of many seniors and others on more modest incomes unaffordable, and the numbers of these folks is increasingly significantly and they are selling.
The house immediately south of us has an assessed value that would stagger many, it has sat vacant since the summer of 2022.
Around the corner from us two more homes are sitting vacant.
The wealthy offshore owners often prefer to leave them vacant as to avoid tenant hassles.
Their homes are simply viewed as an asset class, and their long term return on “the dirt” ( as these homes are all viewed as lot value only.) is all they care about, and “ dirt” has shown to be a nice place to “ park” laundered overseas cash.
As we hear know local governments have an insatiable appetite for taxes and levies.
Ours have now introduced a vacant house tax…( aimed at speculators) however they owners don’t care as most are owned by “shell companies “
A rental property in another location we have owned for over twenty years had its taxes raised from $6000.00 per year to $9000.00
We can make it work for now, however.
We may sell, we had never considered it before but things change and they sure are and rapidly.

Have you dealt with government telling you that you are not allowed to use basic common sense screening criteria? Do you have rent control? Do you have “code to the max”? Are you required to accept government assisted rental applicants? All of these and more have been imposed from above here in commiemommysota, in the twin cities. Added on was the declaration that nobody could be evicted for the last year or two for not paying rent (or for nearly any other reason). The eviction moratoria were lifted but in a bastardized process that included traps for anyone caught in the system. Even if a landlord was able to file for eviction after more than 2 years with no rent (even as the tenant was handed the rent money by the government over those months) the backlog for eviction hearings was running at 8 months or more. (by law the hearing is to be held within 14 days).
I follow your comments and wish you the best in your rentals. We’ve been given the shaft here but are still trying to find a way forward to salvage something of what we spent decades to build.
We may end up with all of what you describe as our “ progressive “ governments are doing what governments do to stay in power.
Much of Europe has a renter class, with no chance of property ownership.
I believe 60% of the French rent.
Inter generational mortgages are in existence in parts of Amsterdam.

Owned 2 duplex’s in MPLS. What a rental nightmare. When sold in 2019, it was hard to meet sales criteria that MPLS imposed. Tenants kept damaging the properties daily. Hired a company to do daily inspections/repairs. Was finally able to sell the properties, but at a great cost to me.
Here in Las Vegas they allow 12 feet apart and in many cases they have what is called “zero lot line” which means that your garage set near the front of your house which is the “wall” immediately next to your neighbor’s driveway. Their garage is set towards the back of their lot which becomes the “wall” for your backyard. Without even trespassing onto your property they can run sprinklers, bounce balls off of, and break into your garage. In LV, we have stucco homes which is interior drywall, insulation, chicken wire, and stucco. Mild climate, easy to dig through.
The “investors” are stupid, the Zillow home flipping fiasco proved that to me.
Nothing wrong with investors buying houses and renting them out. The problem is with big investor groups far removed from the money hiring idiots who don’t know what they’re doing – over buying in hopes to get rents they probably won’t.
Saw it around the corner from my house, I could’ve bout these six lots for $25k each. I think this investor paid $40k and built houses to rent. Our friends ended up rented one of them, we learned the investors were in Chicago. Fast forward 1 yr after they moved in – the rent was going to to up $600, our friends found a new rental and so did everyone else. It’s been almost a year and I think only a few of the six have rented and those just recently.
25k? When I got out of building in 1985 the average lot in my town was 74k. Today they spend 400k min and demo the existing structure leaving one wall intact and it qualifies as a restoration. It’s all a scam today.
My wife’s father did the same thing. A year later he did a ‘restoration’ again and replaced the old wall.
If someone is doing something that doesn’t make sense, it is almost always due to exploiting a loophole in the law.

And, we invest that $ in things which will further reduce our monthly outgo.

In the 1990’s, that technology started to cross over into the military and other commercial applications.

The only limit was “training the devices” as to the voice patterns being read and mimicked. The quality of output and impact of training was limited to the speed of the digital processing and algorithms used in the devices. The rest is just linking the device to a dictionary.

As I understand it “AI” refers to computers that can LEARN, thats the idea.
Just like any organism, they ‘learn’ from their mistakes, and so gain knowledge from experience.
But with humans, such a process requires recognising you have MADE a mistake, and usually/always involves some PAIN, whether physical or emotional.
Touch a hot stove, and you learn not to do that, again.
Mouth off to your boss and get fired, you learn not to do that again.
HOW does the computer experience PAIN, in order to learn?
Pain re-enforces neg experience but not necessary to still learn..you learn with near miss at crossing street .. you learn by opening wrong door to women’s room (if you are a man)..machines learn by trying over and over until success..no pain.. computer chess 🤔

I do a lot of this ML quantitative stuff in my line of work. Here’s a way to think about it.
Some programs are “trained” with data to produce a target. The training data is structured (labeled) with the thing you are trying to forecast, and the code tries to minimize error to the target. Then you flip it around to produce your forecast against live data. The “penalty” is the error to the known human-curated target.
These algorithms don’t perform well when operating outside of historical norms. The first time you touch a stove, you learn. A computer only knows a penalty multiplier to the bad result; my robot arm would gladly crush itself if it started its routine too close to a wall. Think of your automatic garage door; if it hits resistance, it bounces back because someone learned and put it in the program.
Speech recognition is a neural net trained to match vocal frequency to words, then the word sequence are matched to a question. Then the question is fed to a database of other questions to answers. Humans had to put all those answers together. It’s not that different from teaching a child, except programmers don’t want to wait 15 years for a trained model.
Unstructured / unlabeled data can still give meaning.
Clustering looks for commonalities in the features of the data, then groups it based on human design. The danger is correlation is not causation, but the algorithm doesn’t know that.
Is someone a credit risk if they missed a few payments? Maybe, maybe not, but the clustering can have a real world impact if not trained off of good data.
It’s terrible that “they” can take something intended to work in a good way but turn it around to shaft the american people with it. Turns my stomach that we have so many traitors in this country.

My task was made clear: Design HRT ‘knock-offs’ that are effective without causing cancer. My attempt to design safer alternatives began with small alterations to the two-dimensional structure of tamoxifen. It was unsuccessful. All chemical cousins acted as cancer fertilizer and after one year, the project was ended. Access to tamoxifen and other HRT meds however, was not. Despite its ability to inflame cancer, tamoxifen continued to be used as the Gold-Standard in breast cancer treatment. As a young naïve chemist, I was determined to learn how such a dangerous drug could get through the prestigious FDA approval process.
Checkbook Science
Tamoxifen was developed by British company Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), whose pharmaceutical division was later spun off as Astra Zeneca. Knowing that “demand drives drug approval,” ICI established—in partnership with the American Cancer Society–National Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Fueled by fear, women worldwide began pushing for more choices in cancer drugs, and in Big Pharma language, that means more drug approvals. Tamoxifen demand was successfully created and expanded every subsequent year thanks to ICI’s self-serving pink ribbon campaign. But, how did tamoxifen sail past the protective blood-brain barrier of the FDA? A quick lesson in statistical contortionism shows how.
Just like chemists manipulate the properties of matter, Big Pharma manipulates studies using “checkbook science.” This allows them to pay for the design and interpretation of clinical trials. Tamoxifen studies were conveniently stopped at five years, the minimum amount of time required for cancer to develop. This successfully hid its cancer causing problem. But just like their pink campaigns, there’s more stink.
In 1992, tamoxifen evangelist Dr. Bernard Fisher, working for the National Cancer Institute (NCI), received $68 million in federal money to assess whether the drug could prevent breast cancer. In an effort to make tamoxifen appear safe and effective, Fisher failed to report falsified data and enrollment fraud to the NCI, casting further stench over the study and resulting in his termination as director. The smoke and mirrors showed that tamoxifen reduced breast cancer by 50%. In reality, it was an insignificant 1.3% absolute difference.
Checkbook science isn’t illegal by FDA standards. It’s been going on for over 20 years. Known as the Bayh-Dole Act, US law was amended in 1980 to permit flagrant conflicts of interest, ones that allow the industry to design drug trials and hire experts to conjure up favorable results at will.
Once demand was created, and checkbook science in place, the FDA only needed one study to approve tamoxifen in record time: 30 days. They did this by hiring advisors with Big Pharma financial ties to sit on its review committee. Failing to do their homework, only ten percent of the case reports from women enrolled in the tamoxifen trials were reviewed by the committee. But, most alarming to me as a chemist, it was still given a green light as a preventive cancer treatment for healthy women!
Aiming for wealth, not health, Big Pharma hit the financial bull’s eye. As the Gold-Standard for breast cancer treatment today, generic tamoxifen rakes in billions every year with few noticing its “little cancer problem,” as it became known in our lab.
As usual the people responsible for prosecuting “crimes against humanity” are the people actually committing the crimes.

What I am wondering today, though, is why are these people being transferred to a little-known area in Brooklyn with cots? Who spilled the beans or who made this big move? 600 people from 600 hotel rooms is a lot of people in one day.
One theory might be that already-densely populated regions (mostly cities and immediately-adjacent urban areas) that have existing multi-ethnic populations with above-average percentages of latinos are the perfect place to “hide in plain sight” these new, large batches of illegals who are pouring over the southern border every day. Huawei, 5 G, the Travis Scott Concert, the early CCP videos of men suddenly keeling over and dying, pacemakers, and the jabs.
Facts we know –
– President Trump made it a high priority to ban Huawei from the US, although it was lined up to be a major player in the 5 G rollout.
– The early CCP videos bear a close resemblance to Damar Hamlin and other videos and events we are now seeing daily, including an Air Force Academy cadet dying simply walking to class. We now have plenty of evidence, including the Thai study of adolescents,
that this delayed sudden death is due to subclinical cardiac damage from the jabs, perhaps due to scarring from myocarditis.
– The Travis Scott concert was, for anyone with eyes to see, a Satanic occult performance and gathering, attended by a Hollywood family associated with Balenciaga who take photos of themselves bathed in blood. It featured, like most concerts, intense sound waves and also electromagnetic waves (without verification that it was completed in that stadium, it is a fact that Verizon was outfitting all stadiums with 5 G a few years ago). Is it possible to dysregulate heart rhythms with electrical impulses in the same way that a pacemaker regulates them?
Would 5G or other electromagnetic fluctuations be able to induce electrical impulse disruption that would cause atrial fibrillation sufficient to cause death in a young man at relatively close quarters whose heart was already scarred from subclinical myocarditis?

If, extrapolating from the Thai study, 30 percent of those developed cardiac damage, could the CCP at a time of its choosing, potentially generate high intensity electromagnetic impulses sufficient to kill or disable its opponents- without doing any direct damage to infrastructure- in such a way that a battle or war could be won?
Would that be the modern equivalent of poisoning the wells, but with no damage to the drinking water?
Would a clever CCP committed to unrestricted warfare think up such a scheme, if it thought the scheme could be implemented with the help of quisling, traitors, greedy businessmen, and fools?
Is the combination of 5G and cardiac damage done to our armed forces a national security risk?

Why would we treat military pilots any differently?

Last I knew, if the Army says show up for a physical and get these tests, the soldiers do not get a vote.

You did not limit your suggestion to pilots (who, even when not medically cleared to fly, still could do something else.) Many members of the military have worked very hard to get in, and to qualify for their specialties, sometimes skills they hope to transport to the private sector later. Officers sometimes even moreso. There are many who even after being injured in battle want to get back to work.
My question was: what is to be done if large percentages have some measurable degree of damage to their bodies? (Where’s the cut-off point?) I am not sure that we’re saving lives by trashing our numbers of “soldiers” or decimating a military that currently can’t make recruitment objectives.

I would think given that capability that you could theoretically interrupt the heart at other wavelengths. It’s not true that there’s graphene oxide in the COVID vaccines. The magnetically-reactive substance is used during many kinds of industrial manufacturing processes, and there’s some in anti-cancer drugs, but not in vaccines. However, let’s go with the theory of graphene oxide circulating around in the body as a hypothetical. If that was true, then any vaccinated person getting an MRI would be severely injured. (Vaccine status isn’t even one of the screening questions to qualify you to have an exam.)

Alex, I’ve had P.A.T. for many years which is similar if not the same as you have described. I inherited this ailment as my mother and all her sisters had it. It has been under control for years. I’ve always known it was an electrical malfunction so it would not surprise me to learn it can be affected by electrical impulses. My problem is affected by cold blasts of air (the kind that takes your breath away) or anxiety so I have no idea if it is the same thing.
Just as scaring can interfere with a regular heart beat. Doctors regularly use scaring to interrupt heartbeats keeping them regular. It’s a fascinating little organ we got there.

He also points out that the national defense reason they want to gain public trust of mRNA injections as safe and effective is because they are the only way to counter biological threats (intentional or otherwise) in a sufficiently rapid fashion.
I’ll add that this didn’t go well for SARS-CoV-2 because they chose an inherently toxic protein to replicate with the process. There were warning signs they shouldn’t do that and the FDA was told about that prior to granting an EUA, but they were ignored .
Also, even using the fast mRNA development process can’t keep up with the mutations of a coronavirus. Thus, the claim by the Pfizer dude in the Veritas video that they want to perform predictive evolution of the virus. The same thing (replication of a toxic protein) could happen with too-rapid responses to other viruses in the future and there will also be inherent virus mutation/new injection time-lag issues with many virus types.

According to Col. McGregor, before you even get to the issue of training, maintenance, etc. there is a more basic problem.
Abrams are lemons! They have TURBINE engines, essentially JET engined, that are quickly ruined if dirt gets in the intake.

This engagement (or perhaps simply ‘War’) between Russia and Ukraine is somewhat similar to fighting (i.e. ‘War’) between Finland and Russia during WWII, with some glaring differences. The Fins had an excellent trained military and the tactic of fighting on ski’s, their ability to separate the Russian forces, encircle them and then set out for a Turkey shoot. There’s some really interesting history written about the Fin’s tactics (The Army of snow skiers) and heroic efforts. This is the glaring difference, I don’t believe that the Ukrainian’s were/are any near as well prepared and well trained as the WWII Fins. Nonetheless as the end of the day. The Fin’s lost. They were simply overrun by superior numbers. A negotiated settlement and the Fin’s are still a proud nation today. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. A corrupt Ukraine attempting to when a war of defense against Russia is and always was a fools errand.

I think it’s the second one – once rumors started that the Memphis five did NOT go through regular channels/background checks to get their jobs, but were “installed” by woke factions within the city government, TPTB probably decided this would NOT be a good story to get any further publicity. (Initial reports were that they had been with the Department from 2-5 years but I bet most of them were hired under the new “relaxed” guidelines instituted after 2020.)
I saw a post by a Memphis resident who said that the SCORPION Unit was very well known for skating a LOT of corners and there are even stories circulating that they were affiliated with a known gang in the area and carrying out “enforcement” action against their rivals. Frankly, at this point, nothing would surprise me!

Of course having strong and mature men marry the mothers of their kids would have the greatest impact and it doesn’t cost the tax payers a dime!

Curious if anyone has noticed that of the homeless we see on the streets (insert any city here) very few of the houseless camps are occupied by the undocumented population we know are swarming into America? I don’t think I’ve seen any of the undocumented in the camps or on the streets of downtown in the cities near me. To be fair, I admit I rarely go into the city so, there might be a lot but, I don’t see them. Now, I just want to cut through the bullshit and get to the heart of the matter. This professor is mendacious. He is a liar. I am operating from the assumption – which I believe to be true – that vaccines, prior to covid, have a high injury rate, which includes fatalities at an unknown (t0 us) rate, causes autism, and different sorts of allergies, etc.

We have large enough populations within the US who do not take vaccines and we could have analyzed their health, rates of autism, the various allergies which afflict them, and so on.
This SOB knows this. His role is to say that the vaccines are safe and so government, big pharma, etc. can make big bucks, impede parental control because the government knows better and thinks only for your well-being, and impose greater and greater control over our lives because of ‘safety’ and ‘science’.
This guy is jumping ship because it is all unraveling. He probably knows that Robert Kennedy, Jr. will publish a book on this very subject so he will bail now when it does not look too unseemly.
In my opinion, the only time in history which is remotely similar to now is just after WW1 when the royal families fell into ruin and disrepute because of their disastrous handling of their armies. Wave after wave of precious, wonderful young men were sent to the front only to be slaughtered like animals at an industrial scale. In that war, the same, murderous tactics were used for years on end without changing and with zero achievement of any military objectives. It was a stupendous waste of lives, genocide of the youth. All of those young men dead for nothing. This is what we are seeing now and a reckoning is coming and the closest analogy is that time just after WW1.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has changed the end date for a key study on post-vaccination heart inflammation without notifying the public.
Pfizer was supposed to complete a study on the occurrence of subclinical myocarditis, or heart inflammation, after receipt of its COVID-19 vaccine. The completion date was listed by the FDA in 2021 as June 20, 2022. Pfizer was also supposed to submit the results of the study to the FDA by the end of 2022 as part of a list of requirements the FDA imposed as a condition of approving Pfizer’s jab.
But after the deadline passed, the FDA quietly changed the date.
Under a list of postmarketing requirements for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the FDA now says the same study has an “original projected completion date” of June 30, 2023.
The current status of the study is listed as “pending.”
The FDA and Pfizer did not respond to requests for comment.
