Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Hello Fellow Treepers,
Inspired by an earlier post here by My Magic Wand, and in the interest of preserving high culture here at the Treehouse, may I present the following video called “Animal drumming to Rush” … as put together by TheAtomFilmCo as a tribute to Jim Henson of The Muppets fame.
Disclaimer: This will be the weirdest thing you see all day. But if you’re anything like me, the scary thing is, you’ll be drumming away at home on your desk or table, look up again at the video, and consider it normal. 😀 … And now, from the sublime to the ridiculous … * drumroll please * …
Appropriate song for our times, pols want us to be automatons to others we are just data.
Grace Under Pressure – The Body Electric …. appropriately from 1984 as well.
Thanks Phoenix, one of the many deep cuts from Rush that never got airplay.
These Rush hits got airplay where I lived … in the Buffalo, NY area, close to the Canadian border. Thanks for posting this version!
These rush hits also got, and continues to get air play in st louis to this day.
Not near Canadian border, but we like what we like. We also love Sammy hagar.
Airplay was limited to stuff from Moving Pictures on … Tom Sawyer, Closer to the Heart……. what I will call their “Main Stream Hits” rarely did I ever hear anything deeper off any new album in Indy area and very short term for new ones if they did. Guess not close enough to the border, EH.
Obviously this tune was bigger elsewhere to make a music video for it.
Animals ticket was for the Time Machine tour, Body Electric was not in their set list, sadly Time Machine never went to Indy, and I moved in 2011 to CO, and they did not stop in at Red Rocks for the tour either. ABQ was the closest they got to me but in 2010.
My friend who was a drummer always told me Neil Pert of Rush was the greatest drummer of all time.
Even changed his drumming style (in mid/late career)to be even better.
And made a documentary about it.
Phoenix— you are seriously strange, but amusing!
Many thanks, Lorrie Girten, Best compliment I’ll receive today! 😀
Strange is good, means you are not a robotoid. And if you are a birder means you are on a higher state of consciousness as Aristotle pointed out.
Here comes some percussion. At warp speed…

Waaaa hooo!!!!
That was fun. It has been a while since I enjoyed some muppets. Loved the dancing Hulk and Spider Man. Just one question.
With the difficulty Animal had reaching and using the mouse, how can we tell if he is drumming, or just trying to get that keyboard?
Keep in mind that this video appears to have been fan produced, not professionally produced. Jim Henson, being the creator of the muppets, made it look easy. That said, what you didn’t see was me while watching the video … was I drumming, or was I just swatting flies? 🙂
You and all the rest of us were drumming and enjoying every last drum beat, Yes, yes, yes!!!
Thanks for bringing me back to the early 80s and yes, they got a lot of airplay further East, too.
Glad you liked it, GreyRockMan! 🙂
Now that i have been so thoroughly immersed in Treehouse high culture, I think i’ll return to my late morning cup of Bustelo coffee.
Good enough, Garrison Hall! Good morning to you!
Meanwhile, I’m enjoying a proper cup of British Yorkshire Gold tea with organic whole wheat bread, Irish Kerry Gold butter, and Amish boysenberry jam. 🙂
Howdy phoenix have been using my Darjeeling last few days to get this thing out of my head 🫖 it didn’t want to leave 😩
Welcome back jay 1776! 🙂
Hope you’re feeling completely well soon!
Hey Jay… I’m so LATE to the party today. Hope you can see this. Sending you prayers to feel better soon and kick whatever it is that is in your head… that isn’t supposed to be there… out!!!
Howdy Garrison 😁😁
Hope your head cold departs soon. Miserable things. It looks like I’ve developed a pollen sensitivity—bad news in Texas at this time of the year. Runny nose without the fever. Sigh.
Heyyyyyy…. I have that in my coffee maker, too!
Thanks, phoenix. You put a BIG smile on my face and I will be drumming on things all day. While I have never listened to Rush I really enjoyed this video and the beat!
Always glad to encourage fellow drummers! 🙂
I saw Rush perform live twice. My son is a huge fan since his teenage years. Their concert was second to none – great live performances.
Sounds like your son is a chip off the old rock! 🙂
Rush Presto Tour attendee right here. Something about dancing rabbits out of big top hats is just cool!
You’re definitely invited to the next barbecue. You’re hilarious. (Bring your camera!)
TO JORDAN’S RIVER CAME OUR LORD
The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, as it is written in Isaiah the prophet:
“I will send my messenger ahead of you,
who will prepare your way”—
“a voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.’”
And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey.
And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
— Mark 1: 1-11
… Now this is sublime! 🙂
Thank you, 1530. This is perfect for the Lord’s day. A very powerful image to carry of the voice of Almighty God and the dove descending upon Christ, our Saviour.
Good Morning, Betsy. I thought of you early this am. I was going thru a box of Christmas cards from 1979 thru 1983. In one card I found a letter that mentions two people that wrote inspirational poems. They were Helen Steiner Rice and Edgar A Guest. My first thoughts were that you probably were acquainted with their poems. I see that books of poems from both of them are still available on amazon.
Good afternoon, marti.
I am ashamed to say I am not as familiar with them as I should be. But thank you…you have inspired me to look at their works right now. I am always watching for familiar names, which they are, and refreshing my memory of their poems. Who knows what other roads they will lead me to…something I discovered this past Christmas that gave me a lot of pleasure.
It is lovely to be thought of. Thank you for making my day that much brighter💕
It will be interesting to see what you think of them. The person that wrote the note (over 40 years ago) was thanking someone for telling him about the inspirational poems that these two wrote. They were a great help in his life. The Christmas cards I was going thru were given to me in a box many years ago.
Helen’s poetry is sweet…but Guest?
I had utterly forgotten Edgar Guest, marti. I am bookmarking his wonderful poems so true. I have even sent “Myself” to my three nearest grands, all teenagers. They will appreciate it, as I do this from time to time when I see something that I want them to know.
And I am in love again with this simple poetry. I can’t thank you enough for jogging my memory. I’d call him a British poet, the place of his birth, such is the wonderful way he writes…perhaps that is why I am so glad you brought him up. No matter…I thank you most sincerely💕
You are welcome! I am very pleased to share Helen Rice and Edgar Guest with you. Glad to see that you will enjoy their poetry. Have a good evening.
I will spend some time going through the works of his I can find. Some real life truths within his words.

Good day, Mr jay….I was absent for a couple of days and missed you…wondering where you were, my friend. SO good to see you!!😘

Thank you, 1530. Beautiful. Amen.

Of course kitty will share with you but kitty gets to keep the spot in the sun.
Hahaha…I figured that would be part, if not all, of the deal, patty😁💕
Clearly communicating to you that “Thou must bow before me Servant.”

Thx to whoever posted “Comin’ Back to Me” last nite. Got me listening to that album again.
Very enjoyable, and perfect right before bedtime. 🙂

There was a lot more to Michael than the Monkees. His mother inventer “white out” correction fluid which made him independently wealthy. This allowed him to make recordings that were both remarkably unique and innovative. Basically, if you listen to this music Michael’s inviting us into a musical sound space. The sound space is open for a while here so let’s got hear what he has to offer us . . . 🙂
One more . . .
He has been prolific. Starting with “Different Drum”. The Stone Poneys (Linda Ronstadt) made that famous.

Have you ever been in one of those moments when everyone seems to be in balance? I was listening tonight to “5 oclock Morning” rememcering when I stood in that very roadhouse on I-10. I was returning to home completely defeated. I had no idea what was coming next. I’d done the best that I could. That much I knew for a fact. But what, in the space of time, would that actually mean? Lots of failures embodied those brave but ultimately futile efforts. I’d hours to go, miles and mile to think about what might come next. When I got home she welcomed me. Trust and loyalty—values that kept us together for the next 55 years—made “home” a reality. Have a wonderful Sunday, Treeper friends. Always know our Lord loves and looks after us if we simply accept Him as our Savior.
Believe it or believe it not, Garrison…yesterday I was thinking about the music of Rheinberger, a composer I heard first last year about this time.
This Kyrie by those most pure voices has put me in complete balance. If only for a moment, what a lovely place it is to be. All blessings to you, my friend.
Good morning, Bet. Finding one’s balance, even if it’s just “a” momentary balance—seemed to be an appropriate part of last night’s benediction. 🙂
Coincidence? This magnificent beautiful work of Rheinberger’s has just now started on my symphony channel.
The Star of Bethlehem.
Listen and feel the love of Almighty God!
Good morning Bet! I’m greeting today at church. ❤️😘
Good morning, dear brother💕 I bet you are exceptionally good at greeting.😉
Hiya, Gramps. I just got back from my Sunday visit to B&N bookstore. While there I came across the latest issue of Concealed Carry magazine. It has a good article about setting up armed church security. Thought you might like to know about it. 🙂
Thanks Garrison, I’ll try to find it.
Glorious, Bet. Thanks so much for posting.
It was late last night when I wrote the comments about balance. Looking at them now, they really needed some additional editing.
“Texas Morning” always reminds me of that perilous time in my life, of not knowing what one’s immediate future will hold, fearing the worst, yet being drawn to “home”.
The purity of balance was exactly what I needed. My inner red-neck lessons from my father combined with a solid kick in the posterior from my loyal wife caused me to get up and try again. And three days later my I’d course-corrected and my life changed for the better. I don’t think I could have made it without her, Bit.
An honest assessment, Garrison. The threads of your separate lives were ordained to intertwine. I do honestly believe that is the way it works. And after that we work to make sure they stay that way. It isn’t easy many times. And many times I also believe we have to fall in love all over again.
The give and take for each I have found have their moments. But as you say rightly, trust and loyalty, and may I add friendship(?) are the first course of material on which everything else is built. Without them, the whole “building falls apart”.
I know you miss her, my friend. And I understand that need for balance…and home. Which when it can be achieved is something to be treasured. Helped in great part by the peace which only Christ can provide through the Holy Spirit, whether we recognize it at the time or later when we are looking back to see where we’ve been. Memories are teachable as well I have always felt.
I am so glad you enjoyed the Star of Bethlehem. I will not believe it was coincidence that I was thinking of his works yesterday, only to find you post the lovely VOCES 8, followed by my hearing this wonderful piece on the radio this morning. It was an historic recording with Fischer-Dieskau, now gone. I was so glad to be able to find the same recording because it was just “perfectly balanced”…voices, orchestra and the music….with great affection to you, my friend. Bet😘
Howdy Garrison!

the mammal and the fish..
it’s a fascinating observation of socio-biological group/trending behavior..
I agree with Alison Towner’s hypothesis on this.. (at the 6:40 mark).. she has observed and postulated a social predatory pressure exists that can cause variations in seasonal migration patterns..
it’s also fascinating because it reveals a clue about their instinctual cognitive intelligence level.. the socio-biological awareness factor of a dinosaur..
and also about their predators.. orcas are a dolphin.. they are smart.. (Family Delphindae)..
never underestimate either of them..
I have a story about this.. (lol.. no really..)..
I have my own postulation about the instinctual socio-biological behavior of dolphins..
I was making a dive.. it was only around the twenty to thirty f.s.w. level in clear seawater.. it was night but we had ample barge and platform lighting.. I was working on a platform leg to install a riser guard stantion or a riser clamp or something..
I was working.. then “slam”..!! right in the middle of my back.. I turned and looked.. nothing.. wtf.. I thought.. I turned back and kept on working.. a few minutes later.. slam..!!.. right in the middle of my back again.. I turned.. and saw nothing.. I reported to topside.. wtf.. ..”just keep on working..”..
long story short.. dolphins were around the platform.. and they were still there when I got out of the water.. huge gray ones.. porpoising up and down right in front of us around the platform..
I postulate my blowing bubbles triggered an instinctual response.. they are mammals.. and their young are born in-water.. right after birth they instinctually nudge their young to the surface to take their first breath of fresh air..
I was blowing bubbles.. and they were trying to save me.. to “nudge” me up to the surface so I could breathe..
That’s so cool! 🙂
I have come to believe we do not know the half of what animals (or mammals) are capable of.
My husband just reminded me of this…
When he was young, his dad who was everything to him was desperately ill with double pneumonia and unconscience in a British hospital. His doctor thought he was dying.
Then suddenly he came around and recovered. He told the doctors a dolphin had saved him, obviously coming to him in a dream. Pushing him up for air is how it was interpreted.
He was referred for psychiatric analysis as his primary doctor though he was nuts. But the psychiatrist said he felt there was a will to live which caused the unexpected and remarkable turn around, and that image of the dolphin doing what dolphins do, as you say in your wonderful story, helped him to recover.
There may be something to it or there might not be. But God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. And that’s how I choose to look at it.
What a incredible story. Fits in with some of the things I have read about Dolphins and dreams.
There is Alexander Key once again. Oh how true…how right he is. I’m sure there are so many more of such people than we are led to believe. So many right here in this Tree of ours. Which is I why I have no desire to roam elsewhere😘
One of his most well known books “The Forgotten Door” the boy fell through a portal from another world to ours. And he could not understand why people here treated each other and animals the way they did. The animals were immediately his friends and it took a while before he meet a Earth human who had the same understanding and empathy to help him.
Recommending that immediately to my “3 plus one’s” mother. Thank you!!🤗
My grandma’s side of the family had triplets. Another one of those coincidences we share.
Oh my!!!!! Coincidences? I simply do not believe in them💕
There are so many stories iout there, about how dolphins save people and the occasional dog or other land mammals. There has to be something to the dolphin thing.
As an aside, I have seen the ‘will to live’ work in both ways. Sadly, the one situation that left a profound mark on me, was in 1978…I was working as a nurse aide in the Medical City Hospital in north Dallas. On the telemetry unit….young and very impressionable.
The attending MD came in and told my patient that he had cancer…it was a sudden and unexpected diagnosis. The patient was about 65. The doctor told him that “we will talk about treatment options tomorrow”…The patient told the doctor that “I am not going thru that”…this was when cancer treatment was way more brutal than today’s treatments. Yet, according to the physician, the suspected cancer was easily treatable and often ended up in remission.
That conversaton happened at about 5pm on a Friday evening.
At about 6:30am on Saturday morning (I was working a double), the patient went into cardiac arrest and died. We could not resuscitate him.
There was no reason for the cardiac arrest, according to the attending MD….everyone was perplexed.
The “Will to Live” is a powerful force.
It is, Aggiegirl…
And when, in his later years, he got pneumonia again, he couldn’t muster that will. He had lost his wife about 10 years earlier and went then into a severe depression from which he recovered. But we believe with all we’ve got that the second pneumonia he chose not to fight it. I think your observations are correct.
Many years ago, I was sitting on a surfboard during a calm afternoon. Homemade 7 foot 7 inch swallowtail board. Not much wave action; very little wind. To my surprise, a seal surfaced and barked. I watched it for about a minute, then paddled away. I figured that where there are seals, sharks could be in the area. Great whites have been known to migrate through the Channel Island waters and I did not want to meet one while in the water. Or any other type of shark for that matter. So I put some distance between myself and the seal. Caught a small wave, rode it in towards the shore, and called it a day.
The seal giving a warning no doubt….wow, interesting experience!
On calm afternoons the water would be very clear and glassy. I could actually see a few feet below me; mostly kelp and some seaweed drifting by. The ocean is very moody and when the wind picks up, the waves get bigger. Santa Ana wind conditions would blow the tops off the waves as they rolled in. Very impressive sight watching the plumes of spray. I never saw any sharks when swimming or surfing, but ran over a jellyfish when riding whitewater towards the shore. I wasn’t stung, just couldn’t turn in time to avoid it. Once in a while, I would find a stingray washed up on the sand.
One time when walking along the beach, I found some seal pups in a shallow area in the sand close to the water. They were awesome. I left them alone.
Love songs about rain and rainy nights, and Rainy Night in Georgia is a definite classic favorite! Thanks for posting it, Michael!
In reply, here’s “Smoky Mountain Rain” by Ronnie Milsap. While there are many good rain songs to choose from, this one seems to have a similar theme and feel to the one you posted.
Thanks Michael! Elvis was a little before my time so I’d never heard this before. (I was still a kid when he died, so of course I knew SOME of his songs.) I appreciate you introducing me to another great rain song! 🙂
I believe today is “The King’s” birthday.
My favorite….
And of course…..
Since we seem to be in a bit of a rain theme… the rain does eventually have to end. An offering from the band Blue Rodeo

Psalm 115 KJV
1. Not into us, O LORD, not into us, but unto thy name give glory, for the mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.

Definitely stately! 🙂
It certainly is that. Soaring to the heavens.
Good morning, Bet. Looking out my back door and enjoying the morning. Having a nice cup of expresso coffee. Clear, but a little chilly outside. 36 degrees and sunny.
Have a blessed day, Bet. Same goes for all you other Treepers.
I hope for a very blessed day for you as well, my friend. And hoping that sun gets to work to warm you up! Now you’ve made me want another cup of coffee myself!😉
Temps are in the 50s now. Still lots of sunshine outside. I don’t mind a little chilly weather; I sleep better when it’s cooler. It’s the heat index and humidity during summer months that I dread. And the winter ice storms can be a problem.
Tried out my new shop vacuum in the living room, put the laundry away, and fed the dogs. The dogs have been outside and are now laying down in the dining room. Heating water for more expresso.
Amazing detail on these model ships

What an ideal day. Productive but peaceful. But of course your dogs will be enjoying weather like that. It has warmed up considerably here as well. And like you, I sleep better in colder temps. Not freezing, but not easily when the summer temperatures arrive. We have a ceiling fan which keeps things bearable then.
Just finishing a cup of tea myself. Hope you enjoyed your beverage and hope it doesn’t keep you up tonight!😉
(Vacuuming is my next “to do”… tomorrow. I do wonder how things get so in need of it😊”
I’m not overly fond of having to vacuum the carpets (what’s left of them), but if I don’t keep up with it, lots of debris accumulates from what gets tracked in the house.
I’ve let it go for a few days; surprisingly, I haven’t seen any exotic plant life sprouting from the carpets.
Took a nice nap this evening and am now having the last of the Bigelow Constant Comment Black tea.
Someone must have a lot of patience and skill to put one of these together.

Here’s a model of Joshua Slocum’s sloop “Spray”. That guy was a true sailor and had a strange experience when he fell ill during his solo voyage around the world. It happened during a storm he was trying to sail through and it appeared as though he had some “assistance” from another navigator. Who came from another period of time.
The incident could have been fabricated, but who knows? A lot of strange things happen out at sea.
Mendelssohn has a sound which can be only his, as all composers do really. The music in all forms which he wrote for scripture is profound I’ve always thought. And yes I have always felt his belief in it all.
🙂
Speaking of Psalms dear sister, last night the Lord directed my attention to this. Must have read it a hundred times before.

Is My Sacrifice Living?
Abraham built an altar…; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar… —Genesis 22:9
This event is a picture of the mistake we make in thinking that the ultimate God wants of us is the sacrifice of death. What God wants is the sacrifice through death which enables us to do what Jesus did, that is, sacrifice our lives. Not— “Lord, I am ready to go with You…to death” (Luke 22:33). But— “I am willing to be identified with Your death so that I may sacrifice my life to God.”
We seem to think that God wants us to give up things! God purified Abraham from this error, and the same process is at work in our lives. God never tells us to give up things just for the sake of giving them up, but He tells us to give them up for the sake of the only thing worth having, namely, life with Himself. It is a matter of loosening the bands that hold back our lives. Those bands are loosened immediately by identification with the death of Jesus. Then we enter into a relationship with God whereby we may sacrifice our lives to Him.
It is of no value to God to give Him your life for death. He wants you to be a “living sacrifice”— to let Him have all your strengths that have been saved and sanctified through Jesus (Romans 12:1). This is what is acceptable to God.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER

So, whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please Him. – 2 Corinthians 5:9
You have heard people in great grief or deep fear say, “God feels a million miles away.” Understandably, in times of distress, it is tempting to imagine He is somewhere else, unaware. However, the Bible teaches God is right there, “Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!” (Psalm 139:7-8).
Jeremiah, a prophet of God in the Old Testament, lived in a spiritually crumbling nation in the southern region of Judah. The kings and leaders of God’s people had abandoned their founding faith in His laws and were living in abomination.
Jeremiah had the assignment to warn the nation of their impending demise. His voice was rejected by false prophets who, instead, spoke blessings over the way-ward people, soothing their sin-soaked minds with lies and lulling them into spiritual complacency.
But Jeremiah remained faithful to God’s Word. It cost him dearly as he lost relationships with his family and influence with those in power. Yet, God’s word through Jeremiah was fulfilled and the nation was overthrown, because God’s Word is always true!
Regardless of where you find yourself today, God is with you.
You may find it difficult to hear His voice because the world is angry and shouting while descending into darkness. Just as in the time of Jeremiah, the truth of God remains.
You have the option to either please God by listening and following Him or ignore Him and go the world’s way into destruction.
Pray for God’s people in the United States to tune their ears to His voice, obey His word, and follow His Son.

A more appropriate and timely devotional in this fallen world of ours, I can’t imagine. May Almighty God, our Father, have mercy upon our lost nation. May we show ourselves worthy of that mercy and His grace. His will be done.🙏
Good morning! Have a Blessed Sunday! 🙏
Karl Jenkins – Benedictus (A mass for Peace) 7:42 mins
Sir Karl Jenkins, a Welshman tried and true, has written some astoundingly moving music, juststevie. This is so lovely and I thank you for posting it. I will repost one of my favourite of his, sung by one of his compatriots, Sir Bryn Terfel, and Simon Keenlyside. I never fail to feel His presence when I hear it. I am hoping you will as well. All blessings to you.
Ahhh, so beautiful! Thank you Betsy for ‘trading’ 😊😁 with me! Saving…
I love ‘trading’! I felt confident you would appreciate it. And I am SO glad you did😘
Have a blessed Sunday all. Initial indications are that:
Projected pressure patterns indicate there is a fair chance that the polar jet stream will come south again in mid to late February and I mean reaching down into the Lone Star again.
We get one little warm up again and then the cold settles in for the eastern half of the country for the duration of the winter NLT the last week of this month.
Colder than average temperatures will then dominate the heartland and the east through April.
The current La Nina is weakening and a switch to El Nino conditions is becoming ever more likely and it is looking like we will have strong El Nino conditions by the middle of this coming summer.
Strong El Nino conditions are not conducive to Atlantic Hurricane development or for strikes of major hurricanes on the coasts of the Continental US.
In the nearer term the US GFS models shows significant snow coming to the eastern coast from NY northward while the European models shows snows only reaching into eastern PA and up state NY then up to Maine with no significant snows along the coasts of NY or NH and instead heavy rain in those locations about 10 days out.
Thanks for the report, rah. Forewarned is forearmed. That last blast here in Texas was devastating for our plants. Our lovely front is now bare, but I’m hoping recoverable once spring starts.
Mornin’ all! Always with the excuses…
So on Friday dispatch called me and told me all loads were covered through Monday and only 3 loads were uncovered for Tuesday.
I just got the call. A driver called off. So today I run up to Dearfield, WI and take a break and then pickup there tomorrow with another stop in Janesville, WI and I have no idea how many others.
Got to get some wood in for the insert for Sherry to have her fires and make quick run to the store for a few things before I go.
You all have a great Sunday.

You have great taste in music.
Thanx.
Being only modestly adept, I am seeking help: how does one append a photo to one’s username on the Treehouse?
I’m with you on this GRM 🤗…I would also like to know how to post a photo/picture here in the Treehouse!
Copy and paste?
It looks as though you have a profile photo. How did you do that?
LOL…I don’t know 🤷♀️ I did that so long ago…and it’s still working! Ok wait, something is trying to come back into my memory! I have a Word Press account and this is my avatar there…but that was way back when CTH was using Word Press too…
It has something to do with using an online program called Gravatar. It’s been so long ago I can’t remember the exact steps because first time creating an image for my user name was using WordPress years ago. Here’s a “how to” link that should give you the needed info for how to add a photo. Good luck!

How about a nice little Sunday ride on this bike? Watch this guy take on heavy traffic on the motorway.
250 Miles with the Triumph Bonneville T120 Ace – YouTube
My British husband owned a 650 Bonneville long ago. He said it was good to see they’ve retained the twin rear shocks. He really enjoyed this, Joe. He went to the happy place in his memories…
“Happy days”, he said…😁
My dad owned a Bonneville, I forget what year as I was a little. My older brother loved it though. Was GTOish.
Hope your doping well and your family. My best to you always.
We are, my friend. Taking each day as it comes and hoping the world we find ourselves in is not one which has swung so far that it can’t return to a better one. This of St Francis’s is so so perfect.
My motto…today I will not stress over the things I cannot control. It seems to fit with this eternal serenity prayer. Leave it all to the Almighty’s all knowing power and will.
I just asked my husband how many bikes he’s owned…8. Favourite? Sunday S7 combination (sidecar). Safer to ride in Blighty than here.
Your husband sounds like a real cool guy. Figures since he married you!
Oh bless! He grew up in post war Britain, is one of those men who is master of all skills, and has a huge heart to boot. You really are a love, Colkitto😌 Thank you.
Oooooo! I’m showing him that right now, Mr jay. He’s actually attended one. A very dangerous race that sees a few tragic deaths each time it is run.
Absolutely nuts!!
A beautiful (and mostly underappreciated) song from Paul McCartney flowing through the listener’s mind and touching them deeply. A song about the great love that God has for each of us. Let the song wash over you… almost literally

After the latest gaslighting by this administration about jobs report I thought it would be interesting to see how many vehicles were sold in America this past year versus previous years.
Overall 2022 sales were down 7.8% versus 2021 where we were still in a Covid lockdown. These charts show during the pandemic auto sales were higher than what they were when lockdowns ended.
This is just a small sample of our overall economy but if automakers were doing 7.8% less manufacturing that would mean the supply chain before and after were doing less business, yet our jobs report says more people are working. Doesn’t really make sense.

Harlequin Duck (male) So beautiful it almost doesn’t look real
In one of my environmental classes, we had a discussion about a group of Harlequin’s that ended up on the New Jersey shore every winter. They are kind of famous. So it is a learned behavior called “Site tenacity” where the parents teach their offspring about a great wintering spot in NJ and the location is passed down to the succeeding generations of offspring
Alexander Key the incredible children/young adult author told this in his books written in the 70’s. He was way ahead of his time.
Gorgeous duck, aptly named … especially when they clown around in an attempt to disguise themselves and go into winter plumage! 🙂
Harlequin is right….aptly named. And what a beauty he is.
Long ago in an earlier life, I bought a hand carved Wood Duck in New Orleans on a girls’ jolly outing. He was expensive but I bought it for an avid hunter, and I knew he would appreciate it.
The problem was how to get it back home. Not in a suitcase because it wouldn’t fit, never mind ruined (the way luggage is handled). So I hand carried it in an open box, and surrounded it firmly with tissue so that its head and upper torso were sticking out.
So lifelike was it that it shocked everyone who watched me carry it through the airport and all the passengers on the plane…each asking how was I allowed to bring a duck onto the aircraft. Their faces when they realized it was a carving!😂
Beautiful story. I am into Duck Decoy/carvings. My lamp is a Greater Scaup and I have a Bufflehead decoy. I always look when I go to antique stores, but most of the time they are very expensive. Waterfowl are very important to me for some reason. I think it has something to do with my Dad taking me to a wildlife refuge when I was a kid, that one of its main agenda’s was Wood Duck breeding program. One time we saw a whole big flock of Green-winged Teal. I think thats how it started even though I was already heavily into birding
They are fascinating creatures…that’s why I think. My mother had a duck base lamp. I can see it in my mind’s eye, remember it was colourful but not the type.
She had a keen eye for collectibles, so I have a massive lithograph by Audubon of 4 mallards….2 male, 2 female. Because they have colour, I think it is a collector’s print. Also two, one is a lithograph of Baltimore orioles(1 female outside a nest, and 2 males)…and the other of a wild turkey. The legend on the turkey says “Great American Cock Male”. Both in colour.
But it is the mallards which I particularly like.
How I admire the skill it takes…and the knowledge and patience…to produce the likes of which I carried home that time.
There is a pond not far from us where I can hear the verse and the ducks, sometimes in the evening when the passing traffic has quietened. Unfortunately there is no access to it so I can’t determine what types. But they do fly over our house on their way to other ponds. If I am lucky I can just catch a glimpse as they speed by. And like you, I am fascinated by them.
And again, like you, I don’t know why…
…you’d be in your element in Britain, Colkitto. Antique Fairs every Sunday all over the country. Plus myriad antique shops. You’d never come back!😁
😂
Right????😁
Classics IV are awesome. That is arguably their greatest song. Love the Moody Blueish addition of added instruments.
Dennis Yost had some great vocal cords. RIP Dennis.
Ty for the reply. I went through my Doors, Jimi Hendrix time period. I did later research and found out that drug hippie music was pushed by government.
As I got older my taste in music changed. I got into the 70’s pop music, British invasion, and garage rock. I listen to live365 sometimes and discover garage/british invasion/pop nuggets that are really good . I’ve thought about starting my own station but time is not my friend.
I appreciate your kind reply and know of what you speak though I am younger than you, but I was forced/found out things I was not supposed to know or be aware of. I was told I have an older soul/old one.
I wish I did more, but I can remember many a time going against the ‘in crowd’ because what they were doing was wrong. I could get away with it because of who I was and whose family I was a part of,but some were not as lucky. According to many “I marched to the beat of my own drum” and was into things like “birding/animals/fantasy/reading” which was not ‘cool’ but again I did not care and I got away with it because I was popular and a jock even though I befriended the ‘uncool’ who I called “originals’. I have been a bit of a rebel and anti-conformist my whole life and sometimes it takes it toll but I could never even contemplate going along to get along. Hope we can have some more music conversations in the future.
Cheers mate
Looks like KM got money from FTX crook $8,700 for LM and 2k for his PAC CLF. Look it up on western journal.
Yep…so surprised…said no one.
“And as we lay out the ancient and primary meanings of the numbers, many Scriptures, no, rather, all the Scriptures around this subject; which have till now been locked up or obscured, will at once begin to be opened up to view clearly. And adding, the entirety of the Word of God will come together in the context they were intended.” – “In the Spirit of Truth.”.
Very deep Michael – Amen
When I was 6 and 7 and without a father figure, a young 20yo station aka farmhand was a good substitute and he taught me some things. Chris was good with horses and rode well in the musters etc, I have the old Instamatic type photos. We saw him at Easter 1965; the photos are of the egg hunt. He was wearing his army fatigues.
Lunchtime January 8th, in the first action of 1966 after Christmas and New Year concerts and drinks, a small infantry patrol walked into a clearing between stands of jungle. After the chopper landings and an alert from a ARVN Saigon HQ Staff traitor/sellout the enemy were ready once again and had hidden underground. The place was Chu Chi in the Iron Triangle. This action uncovered kilometres of tunnels and the enemy base of operations for Saigon. And more.
The clearing I mentioned was thought to have been checked and “cleared” earlier, but that was a radio error. Chris was a medic. He went forward to help when the LT and his mate, and the other medic, were shot by sniper in the trees. Chris was crawling along a very low gully, likely made by stormwater erosion, trying to avoid the sniper when he was shot pointblank in his back and killed. There were no snipers, the enemy was firing through slits (underground) in back of the gully. So much was discovered underground. Other Aussies died that day and the following in Operation Crimp.
The ARVN traitor/sellout was traced via interrogation. The received message and a truckload of documents were examined but Chris was buried at RAAF Butterworth Malaya since his family could not pay the cost of air transport home (the Army was not paying either at that early stage). This was my early lesson of what I grew up to call ‘spreadsheet heads’ and bureaucrats. I saw much more of it up close through my life. This aversion and distrust has served me well since the advent of Bill Gates, Dr Fauci, Dr Collins, Dr Birx, and the host of other sellouts.
Chris and a dozen others stayed there in Malaya until the 50th Anniversary in 2016 and then -at a million+ dollar cost- they were exhumed and brought home. I visited Chris’ grave in the local cemetery at 1220hrs to day and told him of the immense atrocity put on us by traitors/sellouts, like Rick Bright, and that I worry for my children and grandchildren who have been propagandized and poisoned. This week the Twitter collusion and payoffs from the eugenic murderers will be revealed to a degree. Lets hope the shots are stopped and cures rolled out.
Let’s hope it is all revealed.
It is past time for what should have never happened to be in the sunlight. Trials and convictions need to follow.
Requiescat in pace, Chris.
Thank you for sharing your story, 2cor1126.
I always liked “Rainy night in Georgia”…memories…
