I’ve gone to a few townhall meetings over the years of my Republican House reps in both CA and UT. The Dems will sometimes challenge them but know they are in the minority so they aren’t too aggressive. I will challenge them based on conservative values but very rarely do the other Rs or conservative voters do so. They may generally complain about taxes, generally complain about the border, generally complain about this or that. But it’s truly a rare person in the audience who points out the rep’s hypocritical voting record and asks why the hell are you voting that way when you dare tell us you are conservative?! A much more assertive approach based on knowing their voting records (including committees) is what is needed. Get in their faces and expose their hypocrisy to their constituents who seem much too meek and uninformed on specifics.

During the Korean War my parents would always invite a sailor or two from the nearby base for Christmas dinner, a tradition they started in World War 2.
Before my grandparents passed, their Christmas tree always had a couple “real” lighted candles.

We had an almond and pistachio farm. A good pair of piers abd sharp nails did a better job of getting the meat out of the difficult nuts. We had machines to Hill and shell for bulk! Glad we sold and got out of California in time.

Do the republicans have people in place in these states who are willing to change zip codes and retrieve undeliverable ballots for use later? Do they have others who are willing to comb the voter rolls for those people with birthdates between 1900 and 1920 who simply need some “assistance” with their mail-in ballot?
What is your plan then? I personally am getting tired of people who blast other people’s plans but offer none of their own. We’re past the point of just b*tching about problems. We need a serious conversation about what we should be doing.
The RNC isn’t going to do any of that. They have a power sharing agreement with the Dems.
The way to investigate this properly is for a proactive prosecutor to seed the voter rolls with some fictitious registrations (a perfectly proper investigative technique) and wait and watch for them to come out the other end as ‘votes’ on Election Day. Then work backward and see how and by whom those ‘votes’ were cast. If none of those fictitious persons / registrations get converted into ‘real’ votes, then no foul & no harm – simple.
In other words, a sting operation which will – if successful – drive the Left into screaming conniption fits because it will get to the heart of what we suspect they’re doing beyond any reasonable doubt.

That reminds me, I got yelled at by a doctor (first AND LAST visit with her), she accused me of getting medical info from unreliable sources on the internet. I yelled back “Is Mayo Clinic unreliable?” and then I told her I’m not stupid. Why didn’t she just ask me where I got my info? I do a lot of medical reading, I don’t just look at the primary sites that offer info, I read research and studies too. I’m sick of being presumed stupid.

Being Russian, it needs to get really cold to put on winter clothes. I worked for decades in 30 degree weather in shirtsleeves and a ball cap. Only murderous part was handling cold metal and standing on a cold floor running the machines. Built some wooden platforms and wore work gloves to fix that.
40-50 degrees is heaven for me. Work all day in it. Don’t sweat much. Did today actually, repairing fence and gates from the burglary last month. Foggy, 40’s. Perfect.

In general … the first stage is the convention, if a candidate doesn’t get greater than 60% at the convention then the vote opens up to the public in a primary. In the first stage in 2018, Romney got only 49% and Kennedy got 50%. Too bad the threshold wasn’t 50%! So the two advanced to a public primary and dang it the dummy Utah voters gave Romney 71% of the votes.

Heard a Republican senator speaking to Clay & Buck on Friday. He noted that while Schumer needed 10 Republicans to approve the 1.7 trillion DC swamp spending spree, he actually got 17! That’s right, 17 republican senators elected to lock-in this disgusting display of financial abuse rather than wait 1 month for the new republican led House to take control and decide on spending.
I believe this was one reason for mini-Napoleon’s (Zelensky) speech to congress; the visit provided cover to the RINOs in DC to vote for the spending because, as McConnell opined, the number 1 priority for Republicans is unending support to Ukraine. They ‘needed’ to pass 1.7 trillion in spending to give the grifter another 45 billion dollars.

Read up a few comments. The list of Senators is there. I think there were 18. Notice that all but two aren’t up for re-election in 2024. 3 are retiring at the end of this session, they probably got vacation homes for their votes. The rest must be so smug as to think nobody will notice or everyone will forget, and they’re probably pretty close to being correct. We need to make it our business to not forget. Just like Sundance posted the list of House traitors who voted to voted to impeach Trump so that we voters could work to oust them during the primaries, we need need a scoreboard for 2024. And it’s not too early, people need to run against the RINOs to provide an opportunity to primary the RINOs.

I’m an atheist and I say Merry Christmas and I refuse to use the “holidays” alternative. It’s Christmas, and IMO it doesn’t matter that I’m not a Christian or the recipient of my message is or isn’t. It’s Christmas. I’m celebrating Christmas with all of the Christians. If I can handle it then everyone else can too. 🙂

NBC’s Today Show did a glowing 2022 wrap-up report on Biden’s performance. lol And then Jonathan Lemire from Politico was on. He actually said (my words, not a quote) that people don’t care about Hunter Biden’s laptop. lol Well, they would if they understood it incriminates Creepy Joe. Lemire also spoke briefly about the 2024 election. He acknowledges that Trump is still a strong force and said (again my words, not his) the Dems think Trump will be the 2024 GOP nominee regardless who runs against him, and the Dems think Biden is the only person who can beat Trump.
IMO, whoever is running Trump’s campaign needs to focus on Trump’s track record for both primary and general election. I would advise no negativity in the primary, Trump has so many accomplishments, he’s a proven winner, he doesn’t need to go negative. Remind everyone how good we had it and point out that none of the other candidates have Presidential experience. In the general he can easily compare his version of the US to Biden’s, and go negative in that campaign only to point out the reality of what life has been like under Biden. Hammer home to everyone the real cost of inflation and higher mortgage rates (it’s like taking a pay cut!), the flood of illegals, and hemorrhaging national debt. Use real scenarios, real numbers.

The impact of the vaccines on Transmission is an another issue especially in institutional settings where elderly are more crowded together.
The assumption was wrongly made that vaccines reduced transmission. Now research is emerging that the vaccinated are more likely to transmit. Per an Israel study, the vaccinated or boosted are contagious for significantly LONGER than the unvaccinated. So a fully vaxxed nursing home may experience much higher transmission rates entirely due to the vaccine.
Informed consent is just not available to the elderly as they have been excluded from these vaccine studies.
Data is emerging to suggest that those of frail health might actually want to avoid the vaccine. And those in institutional settings may be put at greater risk of infection surrounded by vaccinated vs unvaccinated.
Yah, they weren’t included in the studies, and now we have “clinical” data. Elderly and other at-risk people need to be as informed and careful about the vaccine decision as they are when they make decisions about finances.
