I agree. In my professional life, I worked for too many power hungry women to not be educated on how they operate. Most of them are controlled by emotion which in the professional world is not a good thing.

There are a lot of ‘nurses’ nowadays that have a degree in ‘Masters in Public Health’ that gets them a higher job but are useless. The degree includes no medical training so they are incapable of making any decisions that would be no problem for those with real medical training.
Nursing has become memorizing what pill is given for what aliment. Older nurses are better and Masters in Public Health is just expensive indoctrination.

I’m aging myself now. When I was in elementary school the teachers only needed to have a high school diploma. Many of the teachers were combat vets from WWII and from Korea. Vets were given preference in hiring. The schools seemed to produce a better student and a more respectful one.
I remember when the transition began for being required to have a college degree to teach. That was the beginning of the end for receiving a good education from public schools. That was when libs started to take over the education system.
The Vietnam era draft dodgers that used a college deferral to avoid the draft, became teachers. The America loving war heroes were booted out of the teaching profession and were replaced with the America hating draft dodging cowards.

Vietnam draft accelerated the grade inflation process–everyone was so afraid to flunk someone that a C became the norm and it was a slippery slope from then on out. By the end of the war you had to have straight As to get into medical school.

I had a CT scan on Wednesday, had been told I needed to be there an hour early for the dye. When I got there, he put in the IV and said I will have you out of here in about 10 minutes. I said I thought you needed an hour for the dye. He said the dye the usually use has not been available for 7 months and they had to use something else. My niece has had trouble finding OTC meds for her girls for the flu and colds. I guess shortages will only get worse.
Iodinated contrast for IV use in CTs comes mostly from China. No American companies supply it. Hospitals and imaging centers have been on notice to use less and conserve it since mid-September.
If it’s a newer CT machine (or a hotshot tech), you can easily adjust the scan parameters and use up to 40% less contrast, depending on the size of the patient and the organs under examination. (I’m guessing it was the Chinese stuff they couldn’t easily get.) Still, you can produce a decent, useable image with any of the brands of contrast for CTs. The downside is the patient gets a higher dose of radiation, because you have to scan at a higher power setting. CTs are X-rays.

Once had a life threatening reaction to that iodinated CT dye. Fortunately, had a really good tech that was watching when the reaction started. Was in a major trauma center at the time. He called a “code” and it seemed like about 30 people showed up and started pushing IVs and heart drugs to stabilize things until they flushed the dye. Scary
It goes much further than contrast dye shortages. My son is a pharmacist in a major medical center. The shortages are alarming. It started years ago when we went to “corporate model” rather than a healthcare model. One of the reasons we were caught with our pants down when COVID hit. No supply of protective gear. It’s across the board.

Many of the shortages we aren’t hearing about. Children’s hospitals and major centers always have priority status for meds. If you need to check on the shortages, this is a pretty good site. (The shortages will also affect maintenance meds for many, like blood pressure medications. Antibiotics will be a huge problem going into the 1st quarter of 2023.)

She is looking for a new pediatrician.

We’ve had a place in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) for 20 years. I feel safer in Mexico than the USA. That’s with getting a couple tickets down there and giving the cops 20 or 40 to get out of them. The Mexican people are much more pleasant and hard working. I’m sure the Cartel is around but the only evidence I’ve seen of it was a major government sting operation with helicopters and gun boats going after this guy who was holed up at one of the resorts.

I no longer ‘add’ spellings to computer dictionaries. It’s a brain thing. Once the wrong spelling gets set in my mind, I start ‘correcting’ the dictionary and then it can never correct me again.

I flip homophones. Always have. I also can’t recall names as I speak or type. Always had that issue.
It wasn’t from coming from a mostly oral home + family. My mother’s mother + mother were lower Working Class like all the rest of the family – but they read voraciously. Which meant there were always a stack of books for my sister + me to pick up + we followed their examples.
So I don’t know how my brain got wired to be able to remember so many things about characters in books + people in the world —- but not their names — or why I frequently use “sale” instead of “sail”….

A couple of years ago, I returned to my home city of Seattle from the UK, where I had been teaching and visiting family.
As I was about to leave SEA-TAC airport, I was standing, with my bags already collected from the carousel, in a line to hand my arrival card to an officer before being allowed to exit the airport.
I was pulled out of that line, seemingly at random, by an officer who wished to search my bags and ask me some questions.
He took me to a nearby dedicated area for the purpose and, as he started going through my things, the questions began.

Two weeks later, I received a letter from the Department of Homeland Security, telling me that my Global Entry pass had been revoked. No reason was given, but there was a website that I could log in to file an appeal. I had to create an account where I could view a notification of my revocation of status. The only means of communicating about the revocation was an online form that became available to me once I had created the account.
Accordingly, I sent a brief message about having had my Global Entry status revoked with no reason given, and asked for the reason so that I might defend myself against it.
Soon thereafter, I received a further letter telling me that my appeal had been rejected.
What appeal? I had made no appeal. I had merely sent a request for information – information that I would (obviously) need to make any appeal. My message had apparently been read by a government official who, like the officer at SEA-TAC, was merely doing his job – and very possibly with no understanding of why he was assigned the tasks he was doing. Since, evidently, I had contacted DHS using the means provided for appeals, my enquiry was treated as one and, since it contained no information that would support an appeal (since it was an enquiry asking for that information), it was rejected as one.
That means of electronic contact was then no longer available to me: it could only be used once because only one “appeal” was allowed.
So I filed a “Freedom of Information Act” (FOIA) request for all information related to the revocation of my Global Entry status and the incident at SEA-TAC on that day.
About six months later, I received a partially redacted copy of the report that had (presumably) been written by the officer who had interrogated me at the airport.
Not one sentence in the report was accurate.

Here’s something that’s been bugging me. How did US intelligence analysts pick up on what they deemed a dangerous novel virus in China at a time when there’s no good evidence China had picked up on it or was concerned? How did they spot the signal in all the noise of a normal Chinese flu season?
US intelligence officials have admitted in various media reports to tracking the coronavirus outbreak in China since mid-November 2019, and even briefing NATO and Israel at the time. Yet at no point has any detail been provided on what caused them to take this unusual action.
Maybe it was released intentionally by…?

It was because there were videos on social media showing people falling down dead all over the place in China. Also, there was reduced cell phone usage around the location of the lab leak. Also, there were reports of military academy cadets (or whatever they call them there) falling very ill.
Oh, and international military had lots of illness after attending the military games in 2019.
Lots of clues something was going on at that time.
I would guess by analyzing the “chatter” out there, electronic communications in the chinese languages…etc. Is where that came from.

But most of the confusion is in competing statements of the professional liars. Some used evidence that China knew to say there was a virus running amok, while others claim that there was no evidence China knew. The author is intentionally conflating the two.
Don’t forget that Drastic? figured out that the lab took the database of bat viruses off-line in September. Either they were hiding the evidence after the fact, or they were hiding it in advance of planned action. In neither case is China unaware of what is happening. But in both cases, China is actively hiding what is happening. So there will be lots of evidence of both those that know, and those that don’t know.

Retired Magistrate here: So, I am in my kitchen, the warmest place in the house because it is -3 outside with a wind chill of minus 34 degrees, wrapping presents and listening to the radio. Thankfully, we still have power after the snow and high winds last night. Still windy but not as bad as last night.

Two Maricopa County, Arizona people were sent to Runbeck as OBSERVERS. Reportedly to watch Runbeck count the 295,000 ballots per Director Scott Jarrett. In short, the ballots were counted by Runbeck with unidentified and unquestioned Maricopa County people selected by Scott Jarrett. Who were these Maricopa County OBSERVERS and why were they not called by someone to testify, since their existence was not revealed until late in the second day of the trial, Apparently behind closed doors at Runbeck with security provided by government CICS contractors.
The Judge, the prosecutors and defendant attorneys at trial could have called these mystery people in to validate Scott Jarrett’s account. Were these Maricopa OBSERVERS FBI people?
