I’ve always been opposed to people being forced to buy EVs and I’m sick of the hypocrites who tell us to go electric while they fly around in their private jets. Then I started reading more about the lack of infrastructure, the cost of replacing batteries (advice is to buy another EV!), the numerous situations in which EVs would be a great inconvenience, and the pollution and damage to the land caused by mining the materials for batteries, most notably but not limited to lithium. I’m bordering on anti-EV now.

You are correct about heat pumps. I rented a house in Idaho one winter that had a heat pump. We almost froze to death.
Then you have to move into one of those towers they have planned for us. Of course, there will be a waiting list. Illegal aliens, then legal immigrants from thoird world countries, then Americans.

Looks to me that MOST Chinese citizens live in towers. Pretty easy for the government to weld the doors shut on the ground floor and keep 25 floors of people locked inside.
We have the most updated mini split system at our house. Had it put in last year. They are now rated down to -13 degrees although when it is that cold their efficiency suffers a little bit. They’re actually pretty nice and you can choose ac as well as heat in one unit if you want. No more ducts which has been great for allergies, very quiet operating and electric bills have not skyrocketed except for the raises of price the electric company wants and usually gets.

I think you’re talking about the type of system I’ve seen in Europe. You have a somewhat bulky component mounted in each room and tubing that carries stuff to and away from those components. It’s a step up from the HVAC units in motel rooms. If you like it that’s great, and I hear you about the benefits of not having ducts, but I don’t want those wall-mounted things in my rooms.

A heat pump lasts maybe 15 years in a moderately cold region and only 10 in a colder region. A gas or oil furnace will last 30 years. They’ve underestimated the maintenance increase a bit.

How quickly people forget that he took no salary while serving as President.

Covid+mRNA vax is probably the greatest widespread scam in human history. For most people, it was a cold, or even more mild. It never required a vax. The vax served as a pharma windfall and never helped a soul. Dual scam of the century.
Way worse than this statement. The vaccine has myriad side effects
and injuring and killing people. It was way worse than a money windfall
for Pharma and likely to affect the vaccinated for many years.
The jab itself wasn’t a scam. The MANDATES were. People were forced to take the jab to protect others … and then we found out it doesn’t cause immunity and jabbed people get and spread the virus just like unjabbed do. Fauci babbled on and on for more than a year IIRC about achieving herd immunity if only a certain percentage of the population took the jab, that too was a scam.

Someone I know had a recent single vehicle incident.
Private autopsy to determine cause of death – no apparent cause for the incident, at this time.
(there could be thousand reasons, so some just want to try to narrow it down, in order to get closure and cope with the loss of a loved one,
and / or
provide information to help others into the future ) : )
Thankfully no other passengers or another vehicle with passengers was inadvertently involved (that we know of, at this time)
A lot of times, the details are never known.
But losing a love one, is a big deal and stays with the memory for many (for those that have a conscience).
It was good to talk with the person quite a bit, just weeks ago – and see the smile. : )
Yep, death can be kinda nebulous until it comes to visit one personally. Then it gets real.
I Went Back To California. My Home Town Looks Like A War Zone.
Pick a town in CA and enjoy the view. The town I was born in the 50’s there went to sht 30 some years ago. By the time I sold the last of my rentals I could hear gunshots every night while fixing them up to sell. It was a war zone.
At least they clean up the dead bodies. Small victories.

They are letting poll workers put ballots in cars and transport them all over the place in Florida. They are using machines in Florida. Florida’s elections are no more secure than any other state. If DeSantis “won big,” it is because the Uniparty wanted him to “win big.” Easy to see why, since we’ve heard nothing from the Uniparty since election day other than how great DeSantis is and what a loser Trump is.

The expert testified there are only 2 ways for the 19 inch image to have bee projected onto the 20 in ballot which would cause tabulator errors. Both methods require an administrator to change. This could not have happened by chance or error. It was fraud.
