Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Preach it DD!
Merry Christmas Treepers!
Interesting, unless they preach falsehoods. Mr. Spurgeon couldn’t know this in his day.
For further consideration:
Matthew 20:6 “...Why stand ye here all the day idle?” Haven’t you begun to study GOD’s Word?
Matthew 20:8 “...give them their hire…from the last unto the first.”
Matthew 20:15 “Is it not lawful for me to do what I will…be cause I am good?” I reward all that study. [I Am, the Sacred Name.]
Luke 15:24 “...this My son was dead [spiritually]…he was lost, and is found…” He has finally begun to learn My Truth!
Matthew 20:16 “...for many are called, but few chosen.” Any who believe Satan’s message of a rapture, won’t be ‘chosen’.
Our Heavenly Father doesn’t care how late one comes to Truth, so long as one does so before it’s too late.
“Too late” is coming soon.

Excellent!
Hello Fellow Treepers!
Red Winter Berries in the Snow … Photo taken by me years ago along a nature trail in Northeast Ohio. Wishing all here a beautiful day and a wonderful start to the week!
Beautiful! 🙂
Thank you very much, jay 1776! 🙂
Good morning, phoenix! A photo to lift the spirits on this December day.
Reminds me that one of my holly bushes is laden with berries this year. I have never seen it produce so many. Food for our birds, I hope.
Very cool that you have holly bushes, Betsy jones!
On another note, from a thread a couple days ago, I wanted you to know that I appreciated your description of canals in England, which is very different from what I’ve seen from canals in America, where you buy a ticket as a passenger aboard a flat barge for an hour and a tour guide tells you the local history. Your description of canal travel complete with being the captain of your own vessel sounds like it’s more my speed!
Bing today:

Thanks for the tip … I just saw it! 🙂
Morning Ya’ll 🙂
Mornin’ jay 🙂
Absolutely incredible. Again, it’s a classical composition. The benches lead you back and left and the lights swing you up to right, even leaning toward to the bench. Colors. Detail. Sharpness and fuzz. It’s got it all.
Quite festive!
Good morning, Mr jay. I do love this one for a December Bench Monday.
Maidin Mhaith Betsy 🇺🇸🙏🏻🇺🇸
Good afternoon jay!
Good morning, Garrison. Beautiful!!
I hope you are provisioned up for the incoming cold, my friend. Praying the grid holds, so we don’t have a repeat of two winters ago.💕
Mornin’ Bet. Thanks for the reminder re: provisioning. I laid in some survival rations just before the last big freeze—MacNcheeze foreover —just add water :-). Now you reminded me, I think I’ll do a grocery run after lunch. This will be my first Christmas alone in 55 years. I’m doing my best to not feel like a Christmas orphan . . . Sigh, alone is very different than solitude.
Howdy Garrison,
If I went grocery shopping AFTER lunch, I’d never buy anything. I’m of the kind that need to be hungry to be inspired while shopping. Splurge for something special and enjoy!
Good morning, Bet. Did some grocery shopping earlier this morning; I think I’m ok when the cold front arrives. As you mentioned, hopefully the grid stays up. Looks like the cold front will arrive here this weekend, possibly Thursday.
I’m going to keep a trickle of water running through the taps and pray the pipes don’t freeze up or burst. I have some extra charcoal to light the barbecue grill outside for cooking (I’m not doing that inside the house, no matter how cold it gets outside). Again, hoping the gas and electric stay on during the extreme cold we’re expecting. Picked up a couple of ribeye steaks for the weekend.
Blessings to you and stay warm.
Oops. Afternoon, not morning. Time flies when we’re having fun. Hey, Bet and all you wonderful Treepers. Have a great afternoon. Days are getting shorter; winter is almost here.
Afternoon Garrison!
Howdy Garrison 🙂
Howdy, jay 🙂
XMAS – Camera – Kaleidoscope 1 – Bring a Torch – The Trail Band
Steve Grimes made this kaleidoscope which we handturned to videotape for the music videos.
XMAS – God Rest Ye – Steve Grimes Machine Shop – The Trail Band
With Steve Grimes. Steve was a marvelous man and a good soul. I met him when I had a program on local cable and he wanted to learn how to make music videos. He had a metal working shop in his basement, and I had him make ornaments for a Christmas video. He also built my dream – a kaleidoscope that he helped me video for other music pieces. His death was such a deep loss to everyone who knew him.

Wow, Mary. ‘Trek was taking on gender issues before most people realized there was a difference between a person’s biology and their identity. Good on ‘ya, love! 🙂
Humor. It’s what makes waking up worthwhile.
Computer hard drive crashed this morning. Poor husband spent the whole day replacing it.
A lot of my friends are gay, but I know no one who is trans. I’ve always wondered how I’d react meeting someone in reality. The idea of pretending to be something that’s physically impossible is so ridiculous, but hurting others is also wrong. I can’t imagine using the pronouns you hear about, so I guess I’d go around in circles trying to avoid any use of pronouns at all. “You” should work, I imagine.
Glad you got our computer fixed, Mary. I taught the social psychology of gender identity for many years. Over time our whole department incorporated gender-issues into their classes. About a year ago I overheard someone ask an Office Depot clerk if their appearance was upsetting. I looked up and found the speaker was an attractively dressed crossdresser.
The young 20 something employee promptly said he wasn’t at all upset, that his criminal justice prof had talked to his class about gender identity. Turned out he was a student at my old school. I couldn’t have been more proud of him. I thought “she” looked pretty nice, by the way. 🙂
We differ, but I support your different opinion completely. I respect others’ opinions being different from mine, I just won’t appear to buy into the opinions I can’t accept. I’m not into arguing on the boards on topics that make no sense to me. It’s always a waste of finger tapping. But not hurting other people. That’s fundamental.
Agree entirely, Mary. And I am in no way trying to be argumentative or even a little bit polemical. Things have gotten so politicized nowadays that it’s almost impossible to have civil discussions anywhere (and especially on-line). I could do it in my classroom but I no longer teach. My emphasis back then was always on tolerance and understanding which was what our student showed in that chance conversation.
Thank you for the kaleidoscope video Mary; Bring a Torch is my favorite Christmas song, learned in French only though. Haven’t a clue how to sing in English 😉
From my schooldays, I learned a lot of songs in Latin that I never hear translated. They always seem to sound best in the language you first heard them in. I collect kaleidoscopes, so I was always frustrated that I couldn’t keep what I was seeing or see it without having to keep my tiring arms up. The other thing I discovered from the experience was that when you choose your own objects to put into the kaleidoscope, it becomes a personal representation of you. Steve put broken beer bottles and gears into his. I put tiny Christmas lights and ornaments into mine.
Now I must look into how to make my ‘own scope’.
Fr. Pavone Responds After Vatican Dismissal
Fr. Frank Pavone: So the light came into the world. Some preferred darkness. That’s the cause of division. That’s the cause of conflict. And if you don’t want to go into the light, because you’re doing something wrong, maybe it’s jealousy, maybe it’s pride, maybe it’s selfishness of some kind, and you’re trying to stop somebody else from shining that light, you’re not just going to try to avoid the light yourself, you’re going to try to shut off the light that others are shining.

Am not knowledgeable about Church/Cannon Law…but I wonder how he can fight this or wait until the next Pontiff to reinstate him.
Padre Pio was quoted (late ’50’s or early ’60’s) …that ‘satan is already in the Pope’s slippers…
Am thinking that these Vows taken,
called “Holy Orders”:…
one of the Seven Sacraments of the Catholic Faith, foundational to Catholicism….along with Baptism, Reconciliation, Holy Communion/Eucharist, Confirmation, Holy Matrimony, Anointing of the Sick…
The pope needs to step away from politics. He needs to ensure pro-life values are taught in the Churches, and in family life. And political life, will follow if those values are taught…
Thou shalt not steal…kill…commit adultery….Are still relevant…rather than ‘mistaking darkness for light’….
That is the ‘darkest’ version of Adeste Fideles I’ve ever heard
Holiday reminder. Give useful gifts and stock up now!
Coming soon to a grocery store near you.
Enough of the scare tactics. This has been predicted here for the last several years. Time to retire that picture.
Sooner than you think…predictive forecast models show snow, some calling for a good old fashioned “blizzard”… for Thursday and Friday, in Chicagoland and other Great Lakes regions…to be 9-12 inches of the fluffy white stuff. Too soon to tell yet…but its gonna be more than we want!
Yep, cold weather coming this week. Watching Canadian Prepper’s video “Winter Vehicle Survival w/Normalcy Norman”. The vid is about a month old but worth watching. The skit with Normalcy Norman is hilarious. Great demonstration of survival gear while traveling in extreme weather. Personally, I’d rather stay off the roads during heavy snow and icy conditions.
I’d post the vid here but don’t know how to do links.
To anyone that likes Mark Steyn:
Almost 2 weeks ago, Mark’s Steynonline website reported that “Mark was having health issues” or “he was still under the weather” and so on. He has been off air for his GB News show as well. We learned a few days ago that Mark is recovering in France after suffering 2 heart attacks.
Gratefully, he survived and yesterday he posted a Q&A session on his website that might have been recorded in the French hospital. (Not sure) He answered some questions that were sent to him.
The link below connects to Mark’s full Q&A audio session where he begins explaining his health situation including how it started and so on. The headline tells it all.
Only members can comment but if anyone would like me to post a short get well message on his site I will pass it on. (1:12)

Please do pass it on!

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year. And most of all, get well soon!
This is not good. His is a voice I heard first decades ago in Britain when he was writing a small column for the Daily Telegraph. That voice has only gotten stronger as the years have gone by.
As Lincoln said of Grant, I will say of Mark…
We cannot spare this man; he fights.
Praying for a full recovery for him.🙏
Hi Betsy…yes, we are losing strong voices, that is for sure…
I first became ‘acquainted’ with Mark, somewhere around 2007, during a Rush show…I remember hearing him and thinking “Who is this guy and is he ever good?”! I loved hearing him almost more than hearing Rush…!
Afternoon Bet, joining you in your prayers.

Ah…Chitty Chitty Bang Bang..my kids loved it.
A classic to be sure, even after decades I still remember a few parts of it, as well as a few other Disney classics (RIP Walt).
I used to watch the Wonderful World of Disney every Sunday as a kid right after Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom. All of those fascinating animal stories and of course the gems from Disney like “The Fighting Prince Of Donegal” “That Darn Cat” “Rob Roy” etc etc
That was every Sunday night for the family.
One of Ireland’s greatest heroes who they are trying to make a saint.
Yes, Sunday had the same schedule in our house, too…looked forward to it!
As an adult, I now understand the “Vulgaria” song…LOL…(or am I thinking of a different movie?)…
One of the best movies of all times. Watched it many times with my kids, grandkids. I was and am fscinated with Dick Van Dyke. And the girl was very pretty too.
Dick Van Dyke was double blessed…he could sing and dance….at the same time!
We loved it too Aggiegirl, but in todays’ world it looks like adults stealing children and putting them in cages. Scary

The Focus Of Our Message
I did not come to bring peace but a sword. —Matthew 10:34
Never be sympathetic with a person whose situation causes you to conclude that God is dealing harshly with him. God can be more tender than we can conceive, and every once in a while He gives us the opportunity to deal firmly with someone so that He may be viewed as the tender One. If a person cannot go to God, it is because he has something secret which he does not intend to give up— he may admit his sin, but would no more give up that thing than he could fly under his own power. It is impossible to deal sympathetically with people like that. We must reach down deep in their lives to the root of the problem, which will cause hostility and resentment toward the message. People want the blessing of God, but they can’t stand something that pierces right through to the heart of the matter.
If you are sensitive to God’s way, your message as His servant will be merciless and insistent, cutting to the very root. Otherwise, there will be no healing. We must drive the message home so forcefully that a person cannot possibly hide, but must apply its truth. Deal with people where they are, until they begin to realize their true need. Then hold high the standard of Jesus for their lives. Their response may be, “We can never be that.” Then drive it home with, “Jesus Christ says you must.” “But how can we be?” “You can’t, unless you have a new Spirit” (see Luke 11:13).
There must be a sense of need created before your message is of any use. Thousands of people in this world profess to be happy without God. But if we could be truly happy and moral without Jesus, then why did He come? He came because that kind of happiness and peace is only superficial. Jesus Christ came to “bring…a sword” through every kind of peace that is not based on a personal relationship with Himself.

Bet did the same the other day also. 🙌
A Christmas for Shacktown by former Disney animator Carl Barks * is a not just a great Christmas story or a great comic-book story…it is a great story, in any genre, period!
It came out in 1951: Carl Barks had conjured forth Uncle Scrooge McDuck, uncle to
Donald Duck ** and great-uncle to Huey, Louis, and Dewey, in a 1947 story called Christmas on Bear Mountain. Barks had felt stifled in the animation department – creation by committee reigned – and so was put in charge of creating comic books, where he could work alone. For the last 25 years of his career, Barks created c. 650 stories, writing and drawing everything, and receiving no credit. Only in the 1970’s, after he had retired, were his now adult fans able to track him down and lionize the great man.
His stories were reprinted in the 1980’s, and have been reprinted again, now in marvelous hardbound form, in The Carl Barks Library. Excellent Christmas gifts or books to buy with Christmas money!
Someone has scanned the original A Christmas for Shacktown and placed it on YouTube! As a comic-book story it is of course humorous, witty, and laugh-out-loud funny! It is also a dramatic, poignant, and subtle parable full of the unexpected with touches of irony NOT found in the tiresome “superhero” comic books, which I never bought and only rarely skimmed through to see if in fact I might be missing something.
I was not! So I spent my dime at the drug store on Uncle Scrooge! When I was 6, my mother got me a subscription to the comic book. You see, I had quickly learned how to read by age 3 or so, with the help of my mother, and my enthusiasm for the Carl Barks stories was immediate, albeit Barks himself was still anonymous.
You can mute the soundtrack…or not! (I find it distracting.)
* Although his name rhymes with Karl Marx, Barks was no Communist! Scrooge McDuck is a capitalist, a hard worker, who started in poverty and never wants to experience it again. He also learns in many stories the dangers of his miserliness, the limits of wealth, and the true treasure of a life with a family (i.e. the 4 nephews).
** It has not been sufficiently appreciated that in the Carl Barks stories, Donald Duck is an adoptive, single father, who is constantly struggling to find employment to support the three little nephews, who themselves show initiative in supporting the family and, as members of the curious group known as The Junior Woodchucks, have learned skills to help Donald and Uncle Scrooge in the adventures. In other words, Barks went well beyond the one-dimensional characters found in the animated cartoons, i.e. Donald as easily riled and the nephews as eternal imps.

BE MY VOICE
BABY LIVES MATTER
JESUS LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven. – Acts 1:11
One of the great challenges with death is that a person, while here one day, is literally gone the next. However, after Jesus died, He returned bodily to His friends, talking, eating, walking, and planning with them, just as He did before, but this time in an immortal body.
During His life, Jesus’s disciples were occasionally slow to understand His words and actions, and it was the same after His death and resurrection. About forty days after His return to them, Christ was teaching, preparing them for a coming gift of God, the Holy Spirit. But, again, His followers displayed their misunderstanding of His mission and their part in it!
Jesus taught, “John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now” (Acts 1:5). The disciples assumed He meant that He would soon be taking over leadership in Israel. You can sense Christ’s clarity as He replied, “You will receive power… and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the Earth“ (Acts 1:8).
As the disciples began to grasp that THEY were to go and tell the WHOLE WORLD about the Savior, “a cloud took Him out of their sight “(Acts 1:9).
Similar to those disciples standing, mouths agape, you may have little idea what God would have you do next! Like them, you can keep your heart open and eyes to the sky looking for Christ’s return, while making ready to proclaim the gospel of Christ. Pray for those in positions of authority in the United States to look to the Lord for guidance and strength in the days ahead.

I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness. Micah 7:8, 9

“Who is among you that “feareth” the LORD,…” I have it on good authority that the correct translation or “meaning”/intention of the original Hebrew word is “admiration” or at a stretch “awe”. So, not so much a knee shaking, hand trembling “fear” but instead a jaw dropping, eye popping , breath taking WOW – and if one finds oneself on the right side, it’s a joyeous wonderful WOW.
You need to do a post on the NC Court declaring the blacks are too stupid to get an ID for voting. This ruling needs to be blasted so that SCOTUS sees why the Framers specified State Legislators as the sole source for election laws, never State courts.

America, America has fallen! America will be like Dan 4:19 Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies. 20The tree that thou sawest, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto the heaven, and the sight thereof to all the earth; 21Whose leaves were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches the fowls of the heaven had their habitation: 22It is thou, O king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth. 23And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him; 24This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king: 25That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. 26And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule. 27Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.
Sundays New York Times crossword has a peculiar design which was released just in time for Hanukkah.

I’m watching the fakydo “Congressional Riot investigation” with as much forbearance as I can muster. The whole thing is a never-trump celebration conducted by a confederacy of political dunces. What’s particularly interesting is how hollow these carefully curated statements sound against the backdrop of the legitimately stunning revelations coming out about how our government—in the form of the FBI— manipulated public opinion through a deliberate propaganda effort straight out the very worst practices of totalitarian states.
Regardless oi what is being said in this shameless hearing populated by failed politicians, the 2020 election was indeed stolen. Sidney Powell’s investigations are a powerful indictment despite the fact that her solid work has been deliberately ignored. In addition Mollie Hemingway’s Rigged described how more than 400 million dollars were spent to influence the election. True-The-Vote’s excellent forensic analysis of just how mass scale ballot stuffing was carried out provides compelling evidence in the documentary 2000 Mules.

The Santa Claus Association
In 1911, the local postmasters began giving the letters to charity groups in their area instead.[2] In New York City, there were no charity groups willing to participate in this program.[6] Gluck contacted Edward M. Morgan, then Postmaster of New York City, with a proposal to set up a not-for-profit organization (the Santa Claus Association), which would receive, verify, and respond to Christmas letters sent by needy children in New York. Gluck, who was born on Christmas Day, was seen as a natural choice for the role.
The Santa Claus Association essentially served as a middleman between donors and children. Volunteers would spend their time reading and organizing letters while donors (often wealthy businesspersons or other members of the social elite) would fund the gift-giving operations.
The Santa Claus Association became embroiled in controversy as a result of dubious fundraising and accounting practices. Bird S. Coler, then the commissioner for public welfare in New York City, investigated the organization in 1927. Coler uncovered tens of thousands of dollars in unaccounted-for funds as well as a lack of institutional oversight over Gluck’s use of donors’ funds. Coler’s audit revealed that almost all of the money raised for the Santa Claus Building had been embezzled by Gluck himself, who had also embezzled most of the funds raised to purchase gifts and pay for postage.
Gluck was never charged with a crime for his activities with the Santa Claus Association. After the collapse of the Association, he and his wife moved to Miami, Florida where he became a real estate agent. He remained there until 1951, where he died at the age of 73.
A new version of Eva’s Songbird Treepers!
Praying for y’all.
As I sometimes check out the Daily Thread, and notice there are many music lovers here, Sundance’s post about time with his Grandfather is motivating me to go public on the Treehouse. Specifically, my song Blue Skies & Golden Grains invokes my grandparents, sitting on my shoulder metaphorically, as I have struggled with the continued demise of our Republic:

Newport Oregon St. Stevens Episcopal Church proudly flies the rainbow flag. Poor old Satan relegated to the B team now and American evil about to take over Hell.
Pray like never before. Jesus is coming back soon.

Took the 1995 Ram in for oil change. That 10 cylinder takes 7 quarts of oil. Put Kendal synthetic in it. Put new Rain-X wiper blades on. Checked shocks. They are OEM and not a one leaking. Technician, the guy I have been using for years, told me, never ever put after market shocks on a Dodge. Only OEM. Drive train and steering tight with no play. Found 9 zerts for lube. Antifreeze good to -60 deg.
Brake shows show some wear but are still good. No leaks in brake system evident. Will get new brakes in the spring.
So the only other thing I’m going to get done to my new/old truck before next spring will be a remote start. That big V-10 8 liter engine takes longer to warm up than a V-8.
I am convinced that this 1995 truck is more than worthy of total restoration to like new condition. So eventually I’m going to be working towards that, including body work, new paint job, undercoating, and a spray on rhino hide bed liner.
