What are the Senate rules if you go independent but do not caucus with either party? Do all parties get a certain amount of committee assignments even if there is only one member – like a lone Libertarian in the Senate; or do they just get to vote?

There is a reclaimed value on cans and bottles and an enterprisng homeless person probably thought you had a nice collection.
In order to enjoy a regular trash and recyclable pick up service in most urban areas you have to use wheeled containers that the refuse company provides. I believe the price of the containers is included in your monthly service charge? The containers have the refuse company’s logo on them and they each have an individual serial number. The containers are made to match up with the refuse truck’s lifting mechanisms. If your containers are stolen I also believe you have to buy new ones from that refuse company? I’m thinking they’re about $100 a piece?
I photographed the containers in front of my friend’s house with the serial numbers visible. I also etched into the plastic bottom of each container a number that links to my friend specifically. I also found a florescent paint that nearly matches the color of the container. The containers have to be facing the street a certain way on garbage day so you place a “mark” on the front of the container with the florescent paint that isn’t noticeable enough for the thieves to remove. You could also place some reflective tape in a place that looks like it was manufactured that way so the thieves don’t remove it.
If paying $200+ for new containers is not affordable, you can now drive around on garbage night with a flashlight and you might just spot your florescent mark.
I know here in Norcal that they do not charge for lost trash cans. Occasionally the truck accidentally takes the can with them…

Cases of myocarditis, diagnosed clinically by laboratory tests and imaging have been described in the context of mRNA-based anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. Autopsy-based description of detailed histological features of vaccine-induced myocarditis is lacking. We describe the autopsy findings and common characteristics of myocarditis in untreated persons who received anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. Standardized autopsies were performed on 25 persons who had died unexpectedly and within 20 days after anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. In four patients who received a mRNA vaccination, we identified acute (epi-)myocarditis without detection of another significant disease or health constellation that may have caused an unexpected death.
They actually found five possible caused deaths, but one had a potential alternative explanation in the form of a separate and distinct infection that might have been involved.
None of these were Covid related; that was excluded as none had a recorded infection prior to being jabbed and all were negative at the time of their death.
20% of these “unexpectedly” deaths were linked directly to the Covid vaccinations. That is an utterly huge percentage that wildly outclasses anything else.

No, the story here is not that Congress is attempting to lame-duck a DACA “fix” in legislation. That’s what CNN and the rest of the media would like you to believe.
The story is this:

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin – an Illinois Democrat and longtime advocate of Dreamers – said he supports the framework from Tillis and Sinema.
“As the author of the original Dream Act more than 20 years ago, I applaud every good faith effort to give these deserving individuals a path to citizenship. I’ve been in touch with my colleagues and will carefully review their proposal,” Durbin said in a statement. “I am determined to do everything in my power to help deliver a Christmas Miracle for Dreamers.”
Dick Durbin couldn’t pass the original Dream Act.
So Obama did it anyway, knowing it had no justification in Congressional action, that is, with every expectation it was not lawful.
It was unlawful.
It was done knowing it was unlawful, with near-certainty, and with the intent of forcing codifying said unlawful act retroactively by more than a decade. There is no means in United States law to redress this and we have repeatedly seen this sort of insult over the last number of years from both Democrat and Republican administrations.

Note that it was Trump’s CDC that issued the illegal rent moratorium despite having no reason in the law to believe it was lawful; it clearly impacted the “major questions” doctrine and the CDC’s authority was limited to quarantining or ordering destroyed things; nowhere was it given power to allocate private property to another person, in this case a rental residence.
In the case of the CDC’s moratorium it can be argued monetary damages could be reasonable compensation. That amount might be much larger than the unpaid rent, since the landlord was compelled to continue with the costs they had to maintain the property (e.g. property taxes, in some cases utilities if they were included in the rent, upkeep and similar) but it can certainly be argued that in the specific case of the CDC’s moratorium money damages can remedy the issues in question.
This is not true in a situation like DACA, especially when the administration crafts the policy in such a fashion as to render the harms diffuse and thus destroy standing to bring a suit in the first place. That is a taxpayer has no standing to sue on the diffuse and non-particular injury that adding such people to the nation, complete with their costs for schooling, health care and similar which may wind up being borne by society at large, imposes. The same problem applies with so-called “college debt forgiveness” which is no such thing — it is forcing the taxpayer generally and on a diffuse basis to pay a privately contracted debt many years down the road and for that reason is wildly unconstitutional.

This is one of the primary reasons the Executive can act only within the boundaries of the Constitution or specific delegation by Congress, since by the time you can bring the case through the system the President is no longer President — but in most cases many of the members of the House and/or Senate are still subject to losing their jobs.

Looking for justice in the Justice department or judicial branch is dicey at best. They are captured.
I’m not so sure the Court wants this case to establish the Congress is under obligation to act. There is precedence that police and fire departments under under no legal obligation to respond to your call for help because they may have other priorities. Does the court want to be in a position to determine or assign Congressional priorities? I think not, and that is why they probably agreed to hear it.
They are under an obligation. Why do they have the process in the first place. Our founding fathers had “checks and balances” as a very high priority standard for a primary element of everything to do with government.
