I am skeptical of the story and choose not to believe it, because it presupposes both that the Prime Minister of the UK would use “an ordinary iPhone” for diplomatic communication, and that Apple would have a record of it. I dearly hope that both governments are not so stupid, and I don’t think they are.
Providing secure communications is exactly what groups like the US National Security Agency and Britain’s “GCCS” do for a living . . . Surely she did not just send an “iMessage.” Surely she couldn’t have. Therefore, I consider the story to be a palatable, easily-swallowed hoax.

In the past week, seven people have indicated to me that they are voting Democrat, notwithstanding anything else, even though they are appalled by other Dem policies and effects… because “abortion”, phrased as “women’s rights”. Apparently decades of propaganda have induced a terror in some people that nothing but nothing is as important as abortion rights.
Every time I hear this, my irritation at us grows greater. After 50 years of Roe and then Casey, why oh why did we have to hand the left this one issue on a silver platter. Making things worse, some legislatures just had to gleefully spring into action verifying the leftists’ fears. Making things even worse, anti-abortion protesters likewise, and the conservative media just can’t let go of the “discussion” — and unfortunately their “facts” are as bad as those on the left.
We are in a war to save this country and even western civilization. In war there are choices that must be made. You don’t go send the troops into a battle that even if won, will be unnecessarily bloody and weaken your troops while gaining no advantage in the overall long-term war.
Moreover, advocating religious beliefs as facts gets nowhere. All arguing religious beliefs does is make the left even more fearful of “Republicans.”
Facts: Conception is not the “start of human life”. Sperm and ova are not inanimate objects and they require nutrition and every cell in the human body is “living”. The response that conception is the start of a “new unique human being” also is unable to be scientifically defended. It is founded upon the belief that upon conception, God imbues the new human being with a soul. This ignores that identical twins and triplets can form many days later when a zygote splits. The reverse (absorption of one zygote back into the other) also occurs, albeit very rarely (do these individuals when born retain two souls?) Some religions believe that a soul enters the body upon a first breath.
I am quite sure that this is not going to be an appreciated post here. But I do not understand why it’s more important to some to choose to raise an issue right now that could more easily be addressed later. And no. If numbers of people saved counts at all, priorities. Far more lives can be saved by someone with power than someone without.

First off, this is a “culture wars” issue, and I believe “our side” made significant progress, due to several things;

Ten years ago I helped a friend during the 2012 election. He was running for a local mayor office and I worked the booth near the local library where the people where voting. I ended up in conversation with the St Johns Democratic party reps. All of them where either teachers or retired teachers and they where the nastiest group of women I have ever met. These women will never vote for a Republican.

And while you may not agree with Paganism, that does not make it any less valid a belief that your own (assuming you have one, not everyone does). Gaia refers to the earth and nature, the seasons, etc., but it has to do with learning about those things so they can be used to the benefit of planting and harvesting of crops.
Along those same lines, find an actual believer in Satanism and ask them what they really believe. Again, it may be different that what you believe, but I guarantee you it is NOT everything you think it is. Satanists are just as disgusted by many of the things the left does and we are.
Just because someone follows another religion or belief system doesn’t make them a bad person, and it doesn’t mean that what they believe in is not valid. It’s just different. Just once, just for once, would like to see Chief Justice Roberts do the right thing and block the committee from further tearing apart the separation of powers and block the release of these tax returns.
It would of course be wonderful for the Chief Justice to declare he is not allowing the release because, among other reasons, it is not a duly or legally formed committee and end this nightmare for all of us.
