Don’t buy a new crockpot. They changed the temperature control and one cannot set to cook all day at 160 degrees. The Chinese decided decided 160 is too low leading to food poisoning so the cook temperature is too high and turns a chuck roast to rubber in about 2 hours.

My 1980 Kmart bought crockpot still works like a charm. Replaced one of the rubber feet -and all is well.
Bought us a counter top convection oven……a lot less time to heat up and uses much less electricity. It will also be there if my oven goes on the blink….it is a built in oven and hard to find parts or a replacement.

I’d be careful about signing onto any international climate treaties. Recipe for disaster.
That doesn’t mean that we can’t make domestic policy that parallels good suggestions. If it ends up a bad idea, or there are unintended destructive consequences, it can be modified or terminated as needed. Treaties, on the other hand, are binding.

But when the PREP Act is no longer invoked and EUA expires, any COVID boosters should be governed by law that applies to treatments, not laws for vaccines.

A Baptist-affiliated university in Alabama has outraged a segment of its alumni after announcing two pro-same-sex marriage churches would be barred from the school’s campus ministry fair.
The restriction on the two churches was reportedly a marked departure from previous years when both congregations had been permitted to send chaplains to the campus.
“If Samford doesn’t turn back to the way it was before, this will have signaled a very far right turn à la a Liberty University type of college, which is not what Samford has been for decades,” the group’s founder, Brit Blalock, said, according to Inside Higher Education.
Philip Kemry, the university’s vice president of student affairs, defended the school’s actions in a letter to students, saying, “The university has a responsibility to formally partner with ministry organizations that share our beliefs.”
“I recognize that the university’s choices about with whom we partner in student ministry may disappoint some,” he wrote. “Please know that those decisions are made prayerfully and with the university’s theological commitments in mind. Regardless, we desire to see every student grow in their Christian faith, and we want all students to experience the love of Christ on this campus.”

I was reading an article over at Redstate about the FBI going after Mike Lindell when something caught my attention.
According to all accounts of the incident I’ve heard, to date, the FBI “seized” Lindell’s phone, when they stopped him in the Hardee’s drive-thru.
However, the Redstate article contains a photo of a subpoena, not a warrant, which orders Lindell to appear before the grand jury, at the district court in Colorado, on November 3, 2022, at 8:00 am, and to BRING his phone with him on that date.
Sometimes a subpoena will offer you the option of providing the subpoenaed documents to a third party, like a prosecutor (usually in lieu of personal appearance), but I’ve never seen one that gave that third party the authority to seize those documents prior to the appearance date.
I’m not sure if Lindell simply turned his phone over to the FBI, in lieu of appearing personally, and called it a “seizure” of his phone, or if the FBI falsely led him to believe the subpoena was a warrant.

The more I think about this, the more it sounds like an unconstitutional seizure.
Even if Lindell voluntarily surrendered his phone pursuant to the subpoena, Lindell was not free to go (the FBI had his car blocked in) and therefore any request by the FBI would have been the equivalent of being compelled.
In order for a search or a statement, subsequent to a traffic stop, to be voluntary, the motorist has to be free to leave.
Blocking their car with police cars and!or securing the motorist in the back of a police car with locked doors would lead any reasonable person to believe they are NOT free to go.
Sure, Lindell would have eventually had to turn over his phone, but he could have kept it temporarily and that might have bought his attorneys time to try to fight the subpoena.
I’ve paid no attention to this since his endless ads for overpriced stuff annoy me (thank heaven for DVRs) and I’m already in the “no longer give a ****” stage when it comes to election “integrity” (see 2000 Mules, the bazillion videos found on YouTube from both left and right mainstream media sources over decades about the joke of voting machine security, and some HBO documentary about same which I haven’t seen which was mentioned by some poster here – anyone got the title of it?).
However, now that I have, it’s interesting and I’m surprised Sundance hasn’t done a column on it. Maybe he has and I missed or ignored it.
ANYWAY, Lindell is apparently from the Grand Junction, CO area based upon the origin of the subpoena and everything described as a no-no was a POST-election event.

By “subvert” they don’t mean tampering with the election, but a DIY investigation for voter fraud by verboten means afterwards.
The perps were all, I’d guess, looking for evidence of voter fraud and someone(s) on a Q-nutter Telelgram channel revealed “closely guarded election passwords” (which, of course, was AFTER an election and, no doubt could be easily CHANGED after the compromise, so that’s a “so what?” other than being a basis for investigation) for reasons not given in the CNN article.
SO, the moral of the story, kids, is DO NOT EVEN try to conduct officially unauthorized and therefore illegal election integrity checks AFTER an election which could have no effect ON the election… unless hacking and fraud were discovered… and not even then since as has been pointed out here before in detail there IS NO constitutional mechanism to remove a Prez elected fraudulently anyway. However, the fact that you broke laws by conducting such an investigation will be vigorously investigated and prosecuted… unlike the illegalities so clearly shown in 2000 Mules.
And now, back to my games and circuses…
It was Tina Peters JOB to safeguard election records, ballots, files on the computer. Dominion was going into the computers under false pretense and erasing all the files. Peters had the files copied as per her job to safe guard for the 22 months. This is why they are going after her….guess they thought Mike has info on phone about the copied files. Just like the DOJ is going after Trumps records.
Mike Lindell was served a subpoena and a warrant to seize property. I clicked on the link to Emerald Robinson’s substack shown on the RedState article link you provided and she had pictures of both. So I think he had to turn over his phone. He said on War room that he called his lawyer at that time and the lawyer said give them your phone. I guess he had no choice at that moment.

The US Army has a major recruiting problem and can’t find enough young people who meet the basic requirements to enlist, according to Army Times.
Lt. Gen. Maria Gervais, second in command for Army Training and Doctrine Command, sounded off Thursday about the troubling developments. She highlighted disqualification rates for potential recruits jumped from 30-40% (pre-Covid) to a whopping 70% this year due to obesity, low test scores, and/or drug use.
Gervais pointed out the service has experienced a “nosedive” in recruits since July 2021. She explained Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) scores were 10% lower during the virus pandemic in 2020-21. That figure has since increased to 13% for the most recent high school graduating class.
What will all those nations do if we can’t protect them, on our dime? Oh my!

This is 100% correct. What’s more, the farmer has to operate organically for 3 years, and hire a USDA accredited certifying company to monitor you those three years. AFTER you’ve operated for 3 years in compliance, THEN you can claim organic. This is why organic products are so expensive.
Organic imports can be “certified” by a local USDA accredited “certifier”. You can be confident that a certifier located in Honduras is not getting paid under the table to certify local producers….
How do you know if it is organic? Because the sign is labeled so. 🤔

Way back when the whole vaxx malignity was in its early stages, there was much discussion of “anti-vaxxers”.
A woman right here at this very site posed the question, “what’s wrong with being an anti-vaxxer?”
I do not remember the poster’s name.
She said that she became an anti-vaxxer due to her work animal welfare. BTW, those people are often smeared as ‘animal rights activists’ to discredit them, just as those questioning the vaxx horror have been smeared.
I have heard similar remarks about shots from others who work with animal rescue.

A Sept. 14 notice reads that the “Marine Corps will not enforce any order to accept COVID-19 vaccination, administratively separate, or retaliate against Marines in the class for asserting statutory rights under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.”
The guidance references the temporary order blocking the Marines from taking action against individuals seeking a religious exemption.
“Involuntary administrative separation processing of class members for refusing COVID-19 vaccination is suspended,” reads the memo, which directs commanders to “pause all administrative actions related to the involuntary separation of a class member, regardless of the current status of the separation process.”
