I believe civilian national security force means not part of the military. They tried to pass it off as akin to the Peace Corps. It’s a work around their inability to legally implement martial law.

If some kind of force like this makes it past Constitutional challenges all the way to the SC, then why cannot Congress just eliminate it when the right people are in Congress to do it, put limits on who can be hired? Must be an American citizen of at least 10 years, must have a current job, must not be on any govt. assistance at all, etc.

What do we do if they bring a battering ram? I’m not sure how polite they are going to be and the law certainly isn’t a big deal to them– not where we’re concerned, anyway.
The IRS operates outside the the constitution in many ways. They accuse people of things and require the accused to produce evidence of innocence.
We need an army of patriot lawyers. Take every case to court and let the backlog destroy their system. The reason why the new taxation targets the middle class is because the rich hire lawyers to keep this in court until the IRS gives up. We need to prepare to burden the system.
Many government systems (mostly justice) expect and need people to bargain and plea rather than challenge them in court. The answer of resistance is obvious.
This is why “suspects”plead the fifth. It doesn’t mean they are guilty. It means they are too smart to submit to interrogation, soft or otherwise, unless it is absolutely required.

I am really profoundly disturbed by the media’s Orwellian usage of the terms supporting / undermining “democracy” to mean supporting / undermining the deep state.
It’s one thing for actual politicians to use rhetoric like that, and doesn’t bother me all that much. But the media’s use of it just highlights in big flashing lights that all the press organs are simply the PR wing of the uniparty deep state, while the politicians are apparently just the front men for the same.
Sundance and others have been pointing this out, so I’m not saying it’s a revelation to me, but this is just another example that they’ve reached a point of arrogance where they aren’t even pretending anymore. And how some people miss it or don’t care is incomprehensible to me.
I have several books in my library on the science and history of propaganda, and its sometimes-awesome influence on actual world events. It can be either light or dark. But it is always terrifying in its influence, and effectiveness.
People call themselves “individuals,” but in a group as small as six or nine they become “herd animals.” I definitely recommend that you study this … as your opponents have. You need to study “mass psychology.”
However, I would also add that I watched an interview with someone who worked at Pravda during the Soviet days. His comment was, more or less: “Unlike you folks, we knew how to do it and did it well.” 😜

Just had this conversation the other day… my four year old asked why everyone was driving 5-10 miles over the speed limit and I told him that “People are stupid, and the more people you get together in one place, the stupider they are.” My husband got real sniffy and was like “That’s not how that works.” I brought up mass psychology and herd mentality.
(My husband also masks up still, so he doesn’t like it when I bring up that sort of thing.)
I drive very slowly in neighborhoods with pedestrians and children walking about, but I always speed up on expressways. This is to avoid being roadkill when everybody else is driving 10-20 mph over the posted 55mph speed limit. In those circumstances, it is actually SAFER to keep apace with other drivers, and definitely to stay in the right lane unless passing.
Relatively safer, yes, one doesn’t want to get rear-ended, but objectively, going 70 just isn’t safe. Not in cars that crumple like paper.

Meanwhile, one of my good friends, an eighty-four-year-old man with heart disease and diabetes, came down with covid last week. His wife took the recommended prevention dose of .2 mg/kg and never got sick. To protect others, my friend stayed home for a few symptom-free days (still enjoying the company of his wife, unlike Joe), then happily walked four miles in the heat with friends yesterday. That’s still not a problem. Both of these drugs are approved by the FDA for off-label use. It doesn’t matter what the CDC says — they are in the business of “recommendations.” The FDA is the regulatory agency and they didn’t “unapprove” those drugs for off-label use.
It becomes a conspiratorial issue when the pharmacies refuse to supply a thing, however, because it is approved for off-label use and therefore they should be able to fill prescriptions for it… and mysteriously refuse? THAT’s where attention should be directed. There you will find the unholy and illegal means by which the government interferes.
That’s the problem with no approval for Covid-19!!! In Texas CVS, Walgreen’s, HEB none of them will fill an Ivermectin prescription for “off-label use”! As a result I have to go to an out of town online compounding pharmacy to get it filled! Not a big deal just a hassle but I shouldn’t have to be treated like a leper to get a prescription filled!!!

Democrats know they are in trouble in the court on the RICO lawsuit. They spent $6 million to compile a fake dossier to de-legitimize Trump’s presidency. That’s a tort. Make them pay.

You make an important point about filing the RICO lawsuit in Florida to get a change of venue from DC or NY. PDJT probably did have that in his calculation to move to Florida.

How many other Treehousers that are USAA members have had to make a claim in the era of Bidenomics? My family(both sides) have been members for over 40 years. My nephew totaled his car on the way to Engineering School back in mid July, the towing company contracted by USAA towed his vehicle to Orlando instead of the body shop outside Tampa, where it was headed. The Adjuster couldn’t find the vehicle for a week. We were supposed to have the check direct deposited after the car was deemed a total loss, it was not, the first time we called a week ago, USAA “put the check in the mail”, a week later no check, so I call them again yesterday, I was told the adjuster just released the check (it was never in the mail) and it would be direct deposited into my account. It has not. I have never seen anything like this.
Their claims dept has always been overwhelmed and understaffed. They are worked relentlessly.
But, it’s gotten worse…a real sh..show. They became way too woke a few years ago. You have trannys too
worried about their hair to get the work done.
It feels like they are trying to “Net 30” our claim. I have just about had enough.
Sadly, so much depends on who is handling the claim.

A suggestion for moving to resolution: look into your state insurance commissioners office and/or your state consumer advocate’s office — get their contact info lined up. Then call USAA and tell them you will be calling your state (either the insurance or consumer advocate office – whichever applies to consumer complaints). You will be telling them that USAA is “not acting in good faith” and dragging out your claim. Use the term good faith. It has meaning in insurance. I’d also give them a deadline for responding to you.
If your state agencies doesn’t respond, call your rep (federal or state) so they can contact those state agencies for you. The state agency will respond to the rep.
The point: tying up USAA’s regulatory/legal people with nonsense is more costly and time consuming than handling your claim. They can’t blow off a query from the state insurance department.
This tactic would work pre-covid, though I’ve seen customer service evaporate in the last year. Good luck to your nephew!

Have been insured with USAA for 46 years and have had several auto and home claims. All have been resolved satisfactorily and without undue delay. The USAA organization has expanded since the days it was a “reciprocal inter-insurance group” (or something along those lines).
Same experience here… membership via FIL for about 25 years. Couple smallish home claims and several auto claims. Last auto claim maybe 2017? 2018? Also have life insurance policy through them… should Mrs. Piddles be worried? :^p

In my little sarcastic observation, I was basing everything on what I experienced at a public-school administrative office in a rather rich Dayton suburb, where I worked for a few weeks in the early 1980’s on a temporary job concerning curriculum.
The Assistant Superintendents all had offices near my desk: there were an amazing number of them!

e.g. I was teaching German at the high school. The only time I ever saw the Assistant Superintendent for Foreign Languages was when he stopped by and wondered if I could use the textbooks in his hands.

“Communication Expenditures” can be organized by individuals and organizations, and paid using FEC reported campaign donations.
Then there are non-political advertising that can be paid for by individuals and organizers. These funds don’t have to be reported to the FEC and the fact that the bill was paid doesn’t have to be reported to the FEC.
The only thing you’re missing in my opinion is that these “Independent Expenditures” are one of the biggest money laundering opportunities around…..:0)

So I am back on the passport thing. Here is the email from DOJ (NSD-Division). Seems like Jim Bratt is claiming 2 passports expired and President Donald Trump is claiming one has expired. Another discrepancy. PDJT would have had a traditional passport, a diplomatic one and an official one as President.
Perhaps there is a conflict of who has the current Presidential Passport? I know who I would vote for. Strike that to “did” vote for.

What’s the problem ? A passport is either active or expired depending on the date printed on it. You can keep your passport in your possession after it’s expired.

You are not understanding. DOJ is saying TWO passports are expired and President is saying ONE passport is expired. There is a discrepancy, most likely over a Presidential Official passport
