What a dilemma in the New York governor’s primary today. It seems it’s down to Zeldin and Giuliani. Pres Trump hasn’t formally endorsed any of the candidates. I suspect he has qualms about Giuliani. Zeldin seems more electable. Problem is Pence endorsed Zeldin.
Zeldin is Uniparty. Most NY Republicans are. He has cozied up to sociopath Andrew Cuomo.
That may be true but two of the other three choices on the GOP ballot are in the Never Trump wing of the Uniparty.
Rather Giuliani than Zeldin but neither are great.

Hard to believe that Hochul had an A Rating from the NRA while in Congress. Zeldin would be a great replacement for her but probably impossible to get elected with New York City at 70% Black and Hispanic.
I agree, but a friend just wrote an email that said due to the ugliness of today’s politics she may have been persuaded to change her vote. I call it the “Perot” effect. If we vote for Zeldin despite some Rino leanings, he may garner enough votes to appear on both the Republican and Conservative lines—Which gives him much better chance of defeating Hochul. If Giuliani acts as the disruptor and gets enough votes to grab one of those lines- it could split the repub-conservative vote in Nov and virtually assure a Hochul win. There is really a chance this year to grab the governorship. We shouldn’t blow it. Either one of those would be far better than 4 more years of Hochul.
This is a bold statement but if Giuliani got in by year 4 of his term, he would have NY competing with FL as one of the best states in the country, Zeldin would get dominated by trying to concede with Democrats and absolutely nothing would change in the state during his term.

New York State has the Conservative Party which is officially on the ballot.
Giuliani would absolutely dominate and destroy Hochul in a debate, that could be where he could gain some serious recognition and momentum. She is worse than Hillary if that even is possible. NY could not have two very different pathways in November, very similar to the 2016 Presidential election.
Debates are a mixed bag and how much they really change votes is open to question. Based on my experience, what happens during a debate has much less influence than what the media says about it after a debate. Hochul will likely win the “media spin” regardless of what she says or does. Whoever gets the nomination will have to fight like Trump did in 2016….with good ground and social media games.

As for NY, by adding a “slice” of the Blue areas to the surrounding RED areas and porperly carving up the Blue, viola BLUE Legislative Control. The allocation of Legislative Representation is based on population within Districts who boundaries are not the same as County Boundaries.

I am not in agreement. The GOPe/RINO owns the RNC. Until they lose what power they hold in Congress and other positions, they will not relinquish to MAGA. They made a mistake with President Trump – it won’t happen again, if they have their way.

We’re screwed Dunes. At 64 years of age, I have ben following Oregon politics since my high school days.
The biggest mistake we ever made was allowing vote by mail. Add an influx of Californian demoncrats during the 80s when Kalifornia was experiencing a terrible economy and the rest is history.
And we’re getting more California demoncrats now. I live on the central coast and I see more and more California license plates cruising the streets looking at property and houses for sale.
Heard my neighbor talking the other day. He and his girlfriend are planning on selling their house and moving to Florida. We dread thinking about who they might sell to.

CDC Used Flawed Data To Approve Covid Child Vaccines
Data overstates Covid-related deaths by more than 100%
The CDC recently approved Covid vaccines for infants and other children under the age of five. The agency justified this recommendation, in part, by citing flawed data from a pre-print study that dramatically inflated the risk of Covid to kids. Specifically, the study calculated the total number of Covid-related deaths over the past 26 months, and then compared that number against other causes of deaths for children of that age group. This comparison led the researchers to falsely claim that Covid is a “top five cause of death” for children in this age group.
Yet, the comparison was fundamentally flawed, as the other, non-Covid causes reflected deaths that occurred over a 12-month period, whereas the Covid-related deaths reflected a period spanning 26 months. In other words, the study authors overstated the Covid-related deaths by more than double. While the study was flawed in other areas as well, this was the most dramatic and significant error.
Anyone with even a passing familiarity with Covid data would have instantly known these numbers were wildly inflated. To be clear, the CDC has accurate data on their own website. Anyone, such as a CDC employee or one of its ostensible experts, could have produced accurate information by simply navigating to the CDC website and running the numbers for themselves—a process that could easily be completed in an hour or less.

Our elites assume that all our nation’s past violent protests, all its would-be revolutions, all its cultural upheavals, all its institutionalized lawlessness were predicated on one central truth—America’s central core is so strong, so rich, and so resilient that it can withstand almost any assault.
So, we can afford 120 days in 2020 of mass rioting, $2 billion in damage, some 35 killed, and 1,500 police injured.
We can easily survive an Afghanistan, and our utter and complete military humiliation. There was no problem in abandoning some $70-80 billion in military loot to terrorists. Who cares that we tossed off a billion-dollar new embassy, and jettisoned a $300-million refitted air base, as long as our pride flags were waving in Kabul?
Certainly, we can afford to restructure all our universities, eliminate free expression and speech, and institute Maoist cultural revolutionary fervor in our revered institutions of higher learning—once the world’s greatest levers of scientific advancement and technological progress.
We can jettison merit in every endeavor, from banning the world’s great books to grading math tests to running chemistry experiments. And still, a resilient America won’t notice.
We assumed that our foundational documents—the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution—our natural bounty in North America, our cherished rule of law, our legal immigration traditions that drew in the most audacious and hardworking on the planet, and our guarantees of personal freedom and liberty led to such staggering wealth and affluence that nothing much that this mediocre generation could do would ever endanger our resilience.
But such inheritances are not written in stone. America, as the world’s only successful multiracial democratic republic, was always fragile. Traditionally, less than 25 percent of registeted voters vote in PRIMARIES, which is a gift to RINOS, making it easier to manipulate the outcome while few are paying attention.
And, traditionally voter participation is highest for National offices, and drops off precipitously for State, County and Munipal elections.
Hopefully events of the last five years have edumacated voters that EVERY office counts, and we can’t ignore those “lesser” offices, and focus all our attention on POTUS and Congress.
The loopholes in State Abortion Laws that the US Constitution protects, is the crossing of a State Border to become Interstate Commerce. Interstate Commerce is the domain of the US Congress. There is also the issue of control over transmission controlled by the FCC.
States will have a strong case for control over “commercial goods and services” flowing into the State, after that “commerce” crosses over a State’s border into the domain of the State Government.
States will have a strong case for control over commercial entities “originating” goods and services from within the State.
The two primary areas where this could get dicey:
The State’s do not have the authority to prohibit a citizen from freely moving or traveling to another State for goods and services not available in the Home State.
The US FCC can attempt to sue over States attempting to block transmission across State Lines.
Your question is an interesting legal issue that will require a hearing. the issue being:
Can a State solicit commerce across a State Border to draw clients for an activity that is Legal inside the State originating the solicitation (e.g. CA) but illegal in States where potential Clients reside. The actual source of the TAX money may also impact the case … State vs Federal or State + Federal.
Advertising the Services will likely found to be legal by the courts as numerous services and goods legal in one State are advertised in States where they are illegal.
The question will revolve around if it’s legal to offer money and/or the source of that money.
I can see Congress justifying acting because it is now interstate commerce.
The one comment I forgot to add is that it is tragic and obscene that the life and death of the unborn is subject to and/or will be considered against “commerce” laws.
As SCOTUS has ruled, the Federal Govt has no authority over abortion, as protecting a Constitutionally protected right of the mother to privacy.
They did not examine the Federal govt having a Constitutional duty to intervene, to protect the right of the unborn.
Basically, the Fed has the authority to intervene, when State laws are in conflict with the Constitution, specifically the Bill of Rights.
There is no Federal statute against murder, but the constitution asserts all have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.
How is abortion NOT depriving the unborn of its most fundamental right, without which all others are irrelevant?
A variation of this issue, came up when SOME States ‘legalised’ MJ, whereas neighboring states still made it illegal.
And yes, citisens crossed the border, bought MJ where it was legal, and took it “home”.
The States where MJ was stll illegal argued they were incurring law enforcement, court and incarceration costs,..I don’t know that it was ever adjudicated, however.
Similar argument has been made regarding guns; states with severe restrictions complain their citisens import guns from neighboring less restrictive states.
Once again, I don’t know of any court cases, so its SEEMS like this is, or has been an argument for “the court of public opinion”, rather than something that has actual legal merit.
Otherwise, we would see a court case.
And, I don’t see how one State could prevail, by argueing that ANOTHER States laws are in conflict with THEIRS, therefore the other state must change its laws to conform.
Goes in direct contradiction to the “labratories of Democracy” concept of the states advocated by the founders.

We are almost double the oil drilling rigs that we had coming out of 2021 adding an average of 20 rigs a month. By years end we should be at Pre-Covid levels!
My sources tell me this increase in rig count is mainly to redo some fracking wells that were abandoned when the oil price plummeted around 2018
The rig count has been increasing by 5 to 10 rigs every week for the past six months so production is surging along with the increasing price of oil!

You know, because a geriatric, twice-failed presidential candidate is an authority on such matters, and we really need to hear from her.
But while her talking points were mostly boilerplate, pro-abortion garbage, there was one moment that raised eyebrows. While attacking Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Clinton dropped a series of racist tropes. Gayle King, of course, dutifully nodded along.
One of the most long-standing, common racial tropes is that of the “angry black man.” It’s been used to justify all kinds of racism towards all kinds of innocent people for centuries, and Hillary Clinton just drops it like it’s nothing.
It’s truly incredible to witness the double standards at play. What do you think would happen if a major Republican politician accused Barack Obama of being an angry, grievance-peddling, black man? Perhaps that actually happened during his presidency (my memory isn’t perfect), but if it did, I can guarantee that it was met with outrage and accusations of racism.
Still, what makes Clinton’s comments even more egregious is how obviously false they are.

I believe Susan Collins is bleating about him telling her that he wouldn’t overturn it but I doubt very much that he actually said that directly…he may have told that he would “honor precedent” and she took that to mean that he would leave Roe alone, since it was considered (by the Left) to be “settled law”.
