They are reporting over 10,000 head of cattle died from heat in Kansas.
Why only in Kansas? It was not the only place that was over 100 degrees.

Lots of things are suspicious about this. I worked in Kansas in the early eighties in hotter temps than these near large cattle operations. They would have a few cows succumb to the heat which was attributed to the weak and unhealthy of the herd. This looks more like poison.
It gets over 100 degrees in Kansas quite often during the summer. Unless they had these cattle somewhere that they couldn’t get to a water source or were inside a stifling building, there’s something else going on here.

Yep, my seven decades in the same area agrees. In the same realm, Harris finishes out tens of thousands on the blazing hot soil of the west side and has been dealing with the heat and cow equation since the ranch has been there. It’s not rocket science. For others who aren’t familiar, this is what it looks like, one part of it anyway..
Harris Ranch is dead center of a huge, dry, hot, valley, alongside I-5, halfway between Los Angeles and Sacramento. It’s hot, and the cattle do just fine.

Change in temperature was faster in a shorter period of time.
A prolonged, lingering winter battle with Spring,
then springing into weather normalcy,
with a shortened transition from cold / cool
to warm / hot
( and lingering winter fur on animals).
Without sufficient water / ponding / shade / spacing to provide transitional cooling.
Animals, including people can acclimate to changing temperatures, over time.
If the time is shortened, then it becomes a challenge to acclimate…..

Sorry I just went through there yesterday and there was not 10,000 the state has estimated 2000. The ranchers are pushing back this is not normal. All pictures have shown the cattle with legs extended as in some sort of convulsion prior to death. Heat exhaustion will cause them to lay down and expire with legs folded not like the y were suddenly shocked to death…. anyway more will come out it gets way over 100 for days at a time down here and this does not just happen West Texas was way hotter over the some time frame and nothing going on down there?….

I go to multiple science study news sites daily and have often commented about how absolutely amazing it is that virtually EVERY study about climate change claims a negative effect meaning that we are miraculously living in absolutely the best possible climate EVER experienced by mankind and, therefore, absolutely nothing good can possibly come from ANY change to it. All ranchers and farmers are laser focused on the weather.
We know what is going to be coming our way for the next week as best as the weather forecasters can predict.
Most ranchers will make sure their cattle have access to all the water they need and shade also if possible during extreme heat.
They do not neglect their livestock.
We are up and out day and night during extreme heat or cold, checking on them looking for signs of stress and doing what we can to off set the stress before it weakens and sickens the cattle much less kills them.
Let’s do a little math here…. 10k heads of cattle equal about 1k of usable meat. That’s 10k pounds of meat that is not going to market. And at 5 bucks a pound that $50k in meat lost. Most inflation……

Lady I know whos vet owns a big cattle ranch there said it was combination of heat, no wind, black cows, and no humidity to cool them.
My grandfather was a DVM researcher at KSU where the lady that made that statement hales from. My grandfather has written books, has patents, and ran a successful vet practice in addition to him and his brothers operating a 28 section dairy and farm operation. All I can say is her excuse is nothing but that, an excuse. Literally everything she stated happens probably 30+ days a year in many parts of Kansas.

1) No addict is responsible for their addiction.
2) No homeless person bears any responsibility for either their status or their behavior.
3) No suicide-successful person bears any responsibility for their success in taking their own life.
If we were to return to the notion of personal responsibility, it follows that the never-ending funding streams flowing from charitable organizations, state funds, and federal funds might dry up a bit. There’s considerable opposition to that possibility.

I happened by a short video of an older field scientist a PhD Ecologist and what was interesting to me was what he thought of the new coming up “ecologist” and their approach to the scientific method, or lack thereof, in short science is never settled.
He would take these future “scientist” into the field and he is shocked of their lack of scientific curiosity…hypothesis to theory. In every case they would regurgitate this or that was peer reviewed and is settled science and no need to look any further. This is the way these young PhD’s or Masters students coming out of the University system can think is in a purely academic manner with zero scientific curiosity.
He was truly alarmed. Real science is never settled as this is how new developments in science or any discipline occur. Without saying it this leads directly back to a great example; “global cooling/warming – climate change”. Think of how many times we’ve heard this dumb statement, “it’s settled science”, or this is peer reviewed, therefore it can’t be questioned. This same group will instantly start throwing, “you are anti-science” like a chimpanzee slinging its poo.
We have yet another field, all sciences that are being intentionally tamped down so that the message can be controlled to fit a narrative. One of the great examples of this in our history is how the cabal treated Nikola Tesla and the fight over AC/DC currents and his intention to deliver “free” electric power. Well the bankers can’t allow that “JP Morgan” famously said; “if anyone can get electricity anywhere, then where do we put the meter?”
There’s nothing new under the sun and even a 100+ years ago science was being controlled by the cabal/bankers etc. Their money went to Edison and Hyde Park (this is not a dig on Edison, he too was operating within “their” corrupted system) he was more accommodating for his cash flow.
My point; the university system is producing “mind numb robots” …shout out to Rush. Un-curious PhD who simply say yes master while science dies for all of humanity. In the long run this is tragic, and it is sadly true with all disciplines, medicine, arts, journalism, law, architecture, financial, poly-sci, music…and on and on it goes. We are creating lazy, risk adverse, un-curious, stooges who simply regurgitate academic peer reviewed crap who will simply say; “the science is settled”. Not good.
These kids need to be asking “what if” and not lazily spewing; “just because”.
Education is intentionally failing our world. This must change.

Here in Oregon, at the Department of Fish and Wildlife, it seems as though the new hires that are recent college grads have a very leftwardly skewed idea of fish, wildlife and wild land management.
It use to be that the ODFW would get their funding directly from the sale of fishing and hunting licenses. The legislature change it and the sale of the F&H licenses now goes to the general fund and the ODFW gets its funding from the state budget. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is no longer responcible to the needs of the sportsman but is beholden to the state.
I suspect that the model of how the state took control of the Department of Fish and Wildlife for it’s own leftist control agenda applies to how they took control of the scientific method and how it’s applied.
When students had to come up with their own funding for college, the college was answerable to the student. When the student loan program came under the control of the government, the colleges became answerable to the government and it’s 2+2=5 agenda.
No doubt, the dumbing down of everything. Everybody gets a trophy and mediocrity will become the norm.

Case in point. Niacin reduces cholesterol. Try asking your doctor (traditional AMA doc) about it.

I am an older man and a few years back I was a “few” pounds overweight and was on a statin, blood pressure and GERD. I asked my doctor how to get off these meds he said lose 10lbs so I lost 35lbs. He couldn’t believe I actually did it, I made his day. He says nobody ever does it.
Long story short no more meds, but he still pushes them on me as a precaution.
Better diet, little exercise, and let the sun hit you in the face and nature will do the rest.
You should ignore your doctor’s “precautions.”

My son suffers from GERD…any advice for a Dad who’ll do anything to help him, he’s only 27.
I’m not an expert on GERD, but for me mine subsided when I lost the weight. But a greasy diet, stress a lot of things can cause this.
It’s all about what you eat, and what vitamins you need to correct it.

There is more than one cause for GERD. I’ll refer to the two most common:
1) Someone with a week diphragm muscle and bad posture (for example, sitting in front of a computer with the torso bent forward for hours) may result in a hiatal hernia (the upper (sphincter of the stomach got pushed into the chest cavity instead of staying in the abdominal cavity, where in belongs and leaks back gastric fluid. Correct posture and exercising the diaphragm muscle will help.
How to do that? Check relevant videos on YouTube or go to see an experienced chiropractor (I’m not)
2) Increased production of hydrochloric acid by the stomach. See an experienced dietist (I’m not) or an experienced gastroenterologist (I’m not).
Reduce heartburn by drinking a glass of milk (or water if milk is not available).
3) Stay AWAY, AWAY, AWAY from proton pump inhibitors unless you take one for a just few days in a severe case.

Face it – there is a lot that we simply don’t know about this planet, for all the centuries we’ve lived here. We have evidence that huge sections of the world were covered by thick sheets of ice. But we don’t know why that happened. Every time we turn around and think that “we know the answer,” we are always surprised again. We are surrounded by evidence of huge, slow, climate cycles related to temperature which we cannot explain. And I have no confidence that “human activity” is the true cause because many of these changes might have occurred before humans existed. They certainly occurred before any sort of pollution-causing human industry existed.

The group went to the back of the castle to the docks and the ocean was some 300 feet from the ocean. They had a little chuckle and quipped I guess they didn’t know where the water is.
It made me think, of course they knew where the water was, but why is it all the way down there? Sea levels rise and fall as do temperatures and there is not a damn thing any of us can do about it. Doesn’t mean we should be pigs but we have to use some measure of logic when solving problems.

You can’t “Build Back Better” without tearing everything down.
Vaxx injury in Canada awarded compensation.
I haven’t heard of any lawsuits against the vaxx so this is the first. This guy winds up paralyzed from the waist down and had paralysis of the face. The diagnosis was an auto immune reaction to the vaxx. Even with some recovery, his muscles are now weak and limited.
The award is paltry. Even if you are awarded the maximum available of $284,000 it is nothing compared to the cost of losing your mobility and quality of life and he didn’t get the maximum award.
Unless the entire medical/science community is financially punished at levels comparable to usual medical lawsuits, they will never learn their lesson about doing this again.

Stock market below 30,000
We are at a critical point now in the market. The sentiment has changed from making money to hoarding money and that is very bad for the markets. People will now begin pulling out of the market to hoard their cash so more down weeks from here. If you have cash you should actually be getting ready to buy as the market falls to average down your positions on good stocks or pick up bargains. Any good dividend paying stocks or companies that generate a ton of cash that are hitting near 5+ year stock lows should be gobbled up on their way down.
I doubt we’ll ever unite over anything, which is why the enemy will win, but this market thing is one canary of the power we possess, at least for now, if we chose to unite to destroy the fascist corporations and government humans.
Else, decades from now, if we’re fortunate, it’ll be like 1990 when the USSR fell largely without firing a shot. Tens of millions died and hundreds of millions lived in poverty over decades, and with outside pressure from another superpower, the U.S., to get to that point. We’re at 1917. The enemy is inside the gate.

I first started coming here for the economic wisdom that Sundance brings and I’ve learned a lot. But still learning.
Given that the current inflation is only partially fueled by reckless spending and free money, I am thinking that this is not something the fed can fix without destroying the economy?
If the inflation is largely driven by Biden energy policy and our idiotic Russia sanctions, these aren’t things the Fed can tweak.
Absent a complete change of direction by the current admin that even a red wave may not be able to change, raising interest rates wouldn’t slow down inflation much but would further stagnate the economy.

In short everything you own will go down in price while everything you consume will go up in price.
It’s a double whammy of high energy prices and interest rates all in order to get us into the ” you’ll own nothing and be happy” plan. Though if we aren’t happy they will just keep stealing the election.

It has been my belief things are going to have to get far worse. That life in America is going to have to get so much harder, to a point of hunger and suffering that generations never seen. There is very little that government can do without force of some kind.
The American Exception is that the people made an agreement to govern themselves. And we put restrictions on what we would do to each other. Those are liberties that Obama despises as ‘Negative’ since they restrict government.
Economics is the opposite. It is the exercise of choice by the people. We can choose to buy or to sell, to work or to goof off.
There is some overlap, can’t not have overlap. A currency is forced upon us. Rules that govern contracts and transactions are forced upon us. Courts to resolve disputes. Some of that force can have beneficial results. Even when we govern ourselves, we vote to have these things.
But most government force is harmful to the free exercise of choice by the people. It is harmful to the economy.
When there is a problem, as long as the government stays out of it, the economy restores itself quickly. If that problem is government, then the problem won’t get fixed until the government changes. (Not just who runs it, but real systematic change.)
Since 1989, our government, under both parties, has been undermining our economy to hurt you for someone else’s benefit. MAGA was a fundamental change to help the economy and benefit the people, not the ‘self-anointed’ elites.
The entire concept of ‘elites’ is a fundamental denial of Government By the People. It is an imposition of force to separate people.
Under Obama, these bad changes, benefitting only the ugly elites, have been accelerating. Now that MAGA and Trump are excised, Obama and his installed Puppet Joe are openly rushing them into place, racing to destroy America and your freedom and liberty by first destroying your economics.

I recently led a group of about 100 citizens on a tour of Israel for nearly two weeks. Before returning to the United States, all participants had to indicate their vaccination status and take a COVID-19 test for reentry.
Anxieties swept the group as Israeli testers swabbed them.
Anyone testing positive would have to delay his or her return.
That quarantine would entail spending thousands of dollars in finding scarce hotel accommodations, additional living expenses, and rebooked airline tickets—depending upon the length of the mandatory sequestration.
Contrast this to the tens of thousands of foreign nationals now mustering to cross illegally into the United States this summer.
They follow the already 2 million who’ve entered the country unlawfully since Joe Biden became president.
Does any foreign national worry about being tested for COVID-19, much less fear being turned away if he tests positive or lacks proof of vaccination?
It’s kind of like the gun issue. Criminals have guns without a hassel. Illegals walk in without a hassle. However in both cases, the compliant, law abiding citizen trying to do the same get it endlessly in the buttinsik😒

No science involve, just my gut is telling me it will be around 18,000 and that the market will pick up downward momentum, so much so that it will reach it before the end of the year. That is unless there’s a massive red wave in November, one so vast it demands that the republicans actually do something other than put their thumbs up their butt and walk on their elbows.
The MacPublicans prefer walking on their elbows and so I still think 18,000 will be the bottom, maybe delayed for a little bit by a red wave.
My non-scientific approach is close to yours. I always guessed that a trillion dollars of printed money propped the Dow up by around 1000 points.

Our company employee life insurance co-pay ‘doubled’ this year. Normally it went up by about 3%/year for decades.
I have to think that HR in these companies with these policies has seen the same trend of deaths running well above normal.
We already know that the jab increases the death rate, so this is all very consistent. It’s hard to hide all-cause mortality.
In addition, the number of jab injuries is likely 2-10x the death rate; ranging from cognitive issues to various forms of paralysis, both of which would affect work performance.

Tell me how many nuclear fuel reprocessing plants are online today in the United States. In 1977 it was banned by Jimmy Carter and while Reagan reversed that E/O when he took office it did not matter as the former investments that had been made were destroyed by Carter’s action and nobody in their right mind would do it again, given that Carter ruined their investment by executive fiat.
There is basically zero fabrication and development on the nuclear fuel front today compared with requirements; we only produce about 5% of what we need. This isn’t because we don’t have it — we do have it. It’s because Carter screwed industry out of billions of dollars and nobody in their right mind is going to let that happen to them twice. The entire kerfluffle over waste disposal is of our making; the safest and best thing to do with high-level nuclear waste from reactors is to put it back into a new fuel pin (the fissile portion in commercial power reactors is only 5%, so you have 95% of the fuel pin contents available for such waste) and burn it up. Over time this process reduces the high-level waste that is dangerous for 100,000 years into lower-level waste that is dangerous for a hundred or two years which we can reasonably expect to be able to keep out of the environment using existing technology.
The same is true when it comes to petroleum, coal and natural gas. The latter, I remind you, is essential to make fertilizer, without which crop yields will be half or less of what we produce today. The far left, along with those who go along with it on the right, either do not understand any of this or don’t care and they both ignore the history including what happened in the 1970s and the impact that persists forty years later when it comes to civilian energy production.
If you want to see energy development resume here in the United States there is only one way to do it: Pass into law that (1) it will and may continue and expand, (2) Executive Action cannot curtail, impair or stop it again and (3) a serious supermajority of both houses of Congress will be required to change said law.
Since Biden would never sign such a bill and it will take 2-3 years once it is signed before the investment can bear fruit if you think the insanity in energy prices and availability is going to end before 2026 or thereabouts you’re crazy. The one thing we could do now is to bar the export of refined products; we are currently exporting about 25% of refined petroleum product we produce .vs. 5% a couple of years ago and that could be done today — and would have an immediate and real impact on gasoline and diesel price.
Further, let’s go here and solve the problem for the next 500 years. That we can’t do in a day but we can do it in a decade.

I read a few years ago that the Chinese allocated 1 BILLION dollars to develop the US created and tested technology in the TED talk video below. They visited Oak Ridge where it was developed and tested before that to grab copies of all of the documentation they could.
By comparison, the US isn’t doing crap.
You see, unlike in the US, as Sorenson points out in another video, they don’t have a long established vested interest conventional nuclear industry which works on the razor/razorblade profit model – the profits come not from building a nuclear power plant, but from supplying a particular reactor design’s UNIQUE, CUSTOM and very difficult to make fuel element packs.
And, gosh, how much profit could be made with LFTRs that only require BAGS of lithium salts…
Oh, and besides LFTRs, there are reactor designs which completely “burn” and use up radioactive waste from the worlds current CRO MAGNON TECH reactors. As Sorenson and others have said, if the long dead patent holder upon which current designs are based upon came back to life, he’d immediately drop dead again because he believed that his design was only a beginning step.
But, of course, because the entire world is such an easily propagandized ideocracy there hasn’t been progress because, as Mongo says, “Nuclear Power BAD.”
