That just frosted my backside so much I hate Joe Biteme. But it was obama who was obsessed with men in women’s bathrooms so he is still running the show.
When I was a kid I had a good friend who lived way out in the country in South Georgia. It was awesome, hunting, fishing, swimming, dirt bikes, hell we’d take the farm truck and go for a spin, no driver’s license.
His family owned a Feed Mill and had giant siloes filled corn. They would have rat problems that would get out of hand and from time to time would have us go kill off some of the rat population. We’d use little pump .410’s with bird shot, safety issues with .22’s and what not. My buddy had a couple German Shepherds that would come with us to help with the kill.
When we first arrived the rats were in large nasty packs and you could fire your .410 into the packs and kill a handful of rats at least until they figured it out, rats are clever and after a bit would be in their hidey holes. While they were scurrying off some would get cornered and the dogs would ragdoll them. In some cases these wharf rats that were cornered would turn and fight and would back off the dogs and we’d clean up with the .410’s. A cornered rat is a vicious mother, I’ve seen it.
The reason for this futile disgusting tale because it’s analogous to the swamp and the swamp rats we are dealing with. There was no way that me and my buddy with his dogs could kill off the rats at that feed mill. That could only be done by closing the mill down poison the rats and clean them out. It was important to clean them out as it was a feed mill for farm animals aka our food, poison not good. However they would always come back, it required eternal vigilance.
President Trump faced the same thing in the swamp. There was no way that one man, no matter how great in 4-8-12 years was going to drain the swamp and get rid of all the swamp rats. But, they are cornered and fighting as if their lives depended on it, just like the rats at the mill. As long as there is this massive amount of corn the rats will return, think of the graft/money as the corn. As long as we allow these rats to feed and enrich themselves at the government trough they will keep coming back.
We’ll see what happens, but this play is far from done and neither is President Trump we hold together, with the consent of the governed, and we will eventually crush them. We splinter off and fall back into “normal” they will re-infest and this moment will be lost, as will the USA.
Will we be wolverines or will we be the cornered rat in the story and the swamp will continue using poison/war/starvation to kill us off. We’ll see.

The problem with Trump is he was participatory in an unconstitutional act called an impeachment trial while he was out of office. It is a slam dunk win in civil court. He has not pursued a lawsuit on this to defend himself. I suspect that he agreed to it and if he agreed to it then he cannot sue for damages.
Trump is therefore compromised. Trump needs to get out of the way and let a new leader rise to the top to carry the movement forward. As long as Trump stays in the game he is controlled opposition. That is a bad thing. That makes Trump a rat.

It is wrong to speculate that President Trump may be compromised without evidence and to assert that he is controlled opposition. The evidence is actually to the contrary. President Trump had the 2020 election was stolen from him. Now the J6 commission is out to destroy him and Eric Holder wants the DOJ to indict him based on the findings of the J6 commission. President Trump is in deep personal jeopardy and he risked all he has to stand up for his country. He gave up a life of ease and wealth to try to save this country from the globalists and their wicked scheme to set up a world government.

He is promoting them because he wants them to be able to lead. Ron DeSantis is one candidate who has benefited from Trump’s advice and is now respected as one of our greatest governors. Trump is helping other candidates in a similar way.

I think there is too much protection on juvenile records. Even Governor Abbott said in his first press conference he did not have access to the shooter’s juvenile record yet.

Today, to me, that means if one chooses to be armed one has a responsibility to practice and train.

I would point out that back in my high school days every pickup truck had a gun rack in the rear window with a shotgun or deer rifle in it, in the high school parking lot and no one in my county of schools ever got shot. Of course we where all proficient in gun safety having to pass a test to get your 1st hunting license.

First, it’s physically uncomfortable and (at the beginning, at least), a huge inconvenience–as in a real pain in the you know what–until you get used to it and figure out how to do it, without causing yourself all kinds of problems that will get you in big trouble.
Too many people are under the misapprehension that “concealed carry” is simply a matter of stuffing a gun in your pocket. For the law-abiding gun owner, it does not work that way!
thedoc00: I don’t entirely understand your concern. People who want to carry largely self-select for their willingness to assume the responsibility and train themselves to some level of proficiency. My assertion is borne out by the lack of reported illegal use of a firearm by permitted CCW holders.
I researched concealed carry when the muslim attacks were spreading under Obama. My wife and I took a firearms course and I was dispelled of the idea that, if I encountered an active shooter, I would take him out. No, I learned that I would get us out or take cover; I learned to always have an exit plan in mind at any event or gathering. I learned that, unless you can draw and fire -accurately- a concealed weapon in under 3 seconds, it won’t do you any good in the vast majority of situations one might encounter.
I don’t want to go to the gun range weekly to develop and maintain the competence needed to carry a gun, but I want to be able to defend myself. I opted for Pepperblaster, made by Kimber.
