In the 80’s, then speaker of the house Jim Wright was on trial for corruption. I was driving to work listening to NPR, the trial was being aired live. While on the stand Wright said, paraphrasing “If the public knew of our contingency plans for an uprising against us, they would have our heads”. IMO, this was his ace card to save his own skin. The trial went into recess, there was no more mention of what Wright said. He was allowed to step down and retire.
I’ve tried to find what he said, but it’s been scrubbed from the public record.
To think that government doesn’t have multiple battle plans to suppress us and that they are constantly updating the plans, you’re naive.

We could place an armed security guard at the single entry point of every school in America and pay them $70K per year for roughly 1/5 of what Congress has sent Ukraine.
Why waste money? He would only betray his trust. Better yet, empty the schools of all children and let them be taught where they are loved.

When I was a kid I would go to friends house over a weekend during hunting season and I’d walk into school with a 12guage shotgun a couple boxes bird shot and 3 Buck Shot shells just in case a turkey or deer opportunity. The routine was take the gun and drop it off at the front office pick it up at the end on the day. I was one of many. Hell, I even had the principle pop the case open and check out the weapon on occasion, he was a hunter.
I also knew teachers who would keep a pistol in the classroom, keep in mind that many of my teachers were WWII or Korean & (early) Vietnam vets.
Lunatics stayed away from schools or other now Gun Free Zones because you’d get your ass shot off, not nearly as much fun with return fire.

There are a lot of people working as cops that should not be cops. Look at how cops are depicted now a days. Used to be being a cop was an honorable profession. So now we have the good, the bad, and the ugly as cops with the balance tending toward the bad and the ugly. Wee need to positivize the police department and get good people to do the job. I have a different perspective on the money aspect. The cops should definitely be paid a fair amount for the work they and the dangers they face, but we need to get people into the police forces that are community minded and care about the welfare of people in the community. Otherwise we end up like a lot of the medical profession has become.

Another misused/overused word “alleges”. Studies don’t allege, they conclude.
Keep your ears and eyes open, every criminal is now an “alleged” criminal. The person can machete 10 people on a bridge, be seen by 20 witnesses committing the act, get arrested with machete in hand and blood all over and he will be referred to as “the alleged attacker”. Why?

Taking guns. Anecdotal from small rural south Georgia county jury pool. 150 or so citizens in the room. I was 1 of 42 (3 sers of 14 or so) called for questions. One question was, do you own guns, types (shotgun, rifle, hand gun), how many? 85-90% said yes, all types, and usually “several”. Hunting, sport, protection. Also, black and white alike owned them.
Extrapolate to the rest of the room, rest of the county of 15,000, rest of the other many rural counties in GA, rest of rural US. They will have a problem.
Also, what percent of citizens in other countries had guns. Australia and Canada have populations of some of our larger states (or a few states combined).
