This is what Chicago is doing about rampant carjacking, armed robberies. The following is the police talking, what they think they need to do is set-up support groups for victims. Not stop crime or punish offenders, the problem is victims need to learn how to cope with it.
“We’ve been making sure a lot of those victims are getting the help they need after the fact,” Edens said at the time. “Someone running up to you and putting a gun to your head and demanding your belongings is a traumatic experience, and that’s one of the things we want to make sure that we focus on, is that they are getting the help that they need.”
Edens said the district also plans to organize an in-person event for people to connect with others who have gone through similar experiences. “We wanted to make sure that they’re not alone in some of those feelings and those thoughts,” he said.

Yes, I would love to have the 2020 election corrected, but does any really think that’s a possibility at this time, after 1 year? I know there is a sound legal argument for how it could happen, but can anyone honestly say it will happen? The answer is NO. Yes, we need to investigate what happened and do everything to prevent future fraud from occurring in the R controlled state and localities.
Saying, well there was fraud in 2020 and they stole the election so I’m not gonna vote again is BS. The fewer “conservative votes” the easier it is for them do fraud again.
Also, as far as these R committees , I could careless that the theater in that it does provide information on what was done. That information needs to be used to put mechanisms in place to prevent it from occurring again. Yes, I’d love from them to be held accountable, but I’ll take the information as a second place prize instead of nothing. We can only control so much. Building up a new R party starting at the local levels , then the states and then federal offices is the only way forward – that’s how the commies took over the Dem party, slow, steady progress.
We will not transform the R party in a single election cycle, but we need to keep adding a few MAGA types every election. A state R party can be slowly taken over with more MAGA than Rino types, that’s where the fight should be focused. We need enough MAGA types in federal offices to slow the Ring/commie agenda until we can have a big MAGA type push. Just think what PDJT could’ve done in Mitch was MAGA-minded – however, we can’t change and dwell on the past, we need to ensure we work to take advantage of the next opportunity just like the commies dems are trying to now.

Eric, I understand, I think, where you are coming from on our current situation. I also doubt that no matter what fraud they find in the 2020 election President Trump will not be reinstated.
However, all hell should break out if indeed it is legally established through all the audits and investigations that there was enough fraud to actually steal the election. People need to go to jail and and Republicans need to aggressively raise the visibility to all the nonbelievers that yes the election was stollen and Biden is not a legitimate president.
I would hope Trump could be reinstated, but just grumbling about it and hope we can fix future elections and grow a more responsible Republican Party will doom us. We have to become outraged with the system and the people who made this happen or allowed it to happen, including Republicans.
I think our biggest problem in government is we have no accountability. They can lie, cheat, misrepresent things, enrich themselves and just go along to get along. That’s why we are in such a mess we are in today.
I am one of those who sees Trump being reinstated. If not, then it is all over. At his point, it is not about the fraudulent election. At this point it is about the Constitution. Solve the Constitution question and the fraudulent election is remedied.

Fangdog I hope you are right that Trump will be reinstated. I expect, though, that there are enough people in government that will not allow that to happen. It’s been a year since the election and we have yet to have any state complete an audit and take any action.
The courts are not on Trumps side either. Even if the fraudulent election is confirmed it would probably take years of court fighting to get to the Supreme Court for a ruling. The Supreme Court probably would take its time to rule, if they ruled at all. The current ruling against Trump and for J6 committee is another example. I think their ruling only applies to this case and not a precedent for future rulings. So Republicans probably could not reply in kind to Biden or Obama.
You certainly have no argument from me. My take is just an opinion. I see events coming at a more rapid pace from here on out. As the American people experience a worsening painful feeling the more receptive for a quicker remedy.
Also, the remedy may be ugly, but more acceptable as the result of real personal felt pain gets worse with time and not better.
I understand what you’re saying. I would love more than anything for PDJT to be rightfully placed back into office (I’ve joked that they’ll do it in Oct 2024 and say, oops, sorry bout that, you’ve now served two terms) and I believe there is a sound legal argument, BUT I’m telling you as sure as the daylight sky is blue and not green, it will never happen.
So, do we just get mad and take our toys home? No, we continue to fight and expose the fraud but we need to put more energy and effort into preventing the same fraud again and restoring our local and state R’s to be more MAGA aligned. The latter is what will make long term changes, not singular focus on outrage against something that is highly unlikely to happen.
It is ok to be outraged against the fraud and demand accountability, but just know it probably will never happen, therefore we must focus on areas we CAN change for the better.
And again, 1 single person elected President can’t fix everything. Yes, they can make a huge dent as PDJT even with two hands tied behind his back. We need to focus on rebuilding the foundation of America and that starts at the local level working towards the state and then ultimately the federal government.
Imagine a state completely self sufficient where there is no need for federal dollars and medical costs were brought under control by restructuring health care delivery as to eliminate the need for medicare dollars. That state would be free and independent. I believe that is more possible than restoring PDJT to office this term.

I put “vaccinated” in quotes because from this data it is clear that these are not *******s at all; they do not induce immunity, sterilizing or otherwise, at anything approaching that which occurs if you get infected. By any rational set of analytical standards they are defective products and grossly unfit for purpose.
What’s even worse for the jabs is that when Delta hit there were no jabs more than six months old, approximately, yet there were many infections that occurred more than a year prior. Therefore being infected was not only three to five times as protective it was protective over a much longer period as well!
So if you were infected and then talked into or even coerced or forced into taking the jabs you were conned. You got statistically nothing out of that jab of value but you took risk — maybe very serious risk and permanent harm.
This isn’t my claim or data this is the CDC’s data.
Time for lawsuits against every entity that deprived someone of a liberty or privilege, or who successfully coerced you and then you suffered a side effect from the jab. Not only has there never been a viral disease, ever, for which being jabbed was defensible on the premise of immunity after being infected in the past this one is no different. As for all of those who coerced, urged and now, since it is now proved they lied as they had no scientific basis whatsoever for their claims it is my sincere hope that every one of them are brought to justice in this life and I am certain they will be in the next.

We pack every day exactly for this reason. This may be fine for a kindergartener but not any one past the 2nd grade. And look at the lunch. Frozen chicken that is mostly breading with a pile of instant rice and some raw pre-peeled and cut carrots most likely uncooked. This lunch requires the minimal effort from the lunch staff, and they get paid the same no matter what thanks to my sky-high school taxes.
They made better lunches years ago and they lectured parents less on nutrition as well. This is a communist lunch. It’s what the government gives you when they don’t give a fig about you. Just keep paying taxes or lose your house.

I forfeited millions of dollars in future earnings because I cannot support such an immoral, anti-science show of force.
Well before the Supreme Court struck down the Biden administration’s authoritarian Occupational Safety and Health Administration vaccine mandate, I quit my professionally and financially rewarding c-suite position after my company issued this coercive edict to its U.S. employees. I am vaccinated against Covid-19, so the order would not affect my employment, but I told the company that if I, as a top executive, were expected to cheerlead for such an immoral and anti-science imposition of brute economic force by the powerful upon the weak, I would have to resign.
I tendered my resignation from the pharma company Insmed Incorporated, headquartered in Bridgewater, New Jersey. It was accepted. In so doing, I forfeited what could amount to millions of dollars over the coming years.
That said, my decision was easy. I can comfortably afford to be unemployed. Other colleagues at Insmed I spoke to are not so fortunate. Some would even have to sell their homes. The economically weak are hurt by these mandates imposed by the economically strong.
The attitudes and views of my fellow executives towards the unvaxxed were patronizing and factually erroneous. They took the pronouncements of Anthony Fauci and the Centers for Disease Control as the Gospel Truth, and anyone who dissented was derided as a “science denier.”
Before the vax mandate was issued, the company polled employees about their opinions. I was present when several of my colleagues mocked the responses of their fellow employees who expressed reservations about vaccines and mandates. They howled with derision when reading the response of one employee who cited the Nuremberg Principles prohibiting drug experimentation on non-consenting subjects. Even though I thought the response was a bit over the top, the sneering condescension irked me.
Other executives bubbled with anticipatory glee about the coming prospect of getting their kids under 12 vaccinated. When I asked them if they knew the data concerning Covid risks to this age group, one retorted: “You sound like an anti-vaxxer!” In a private moment, away from the others, one of the executives, an M.D., quietly conceded that the risk to kids was very low.
After Insmed publicly announced I resigned because of the vax mandate, numerous employees contacted me. Some had health reservations; others objected on religious grounds. Still, others objected simply on personal autonomy grounds.
All expressed profound anxiety over how they would support their families if they were fired. They told me how much they admired me for taking a principled stand. I was deeply embarrassed by this, as I could easily afford to stick by my principles. They could not. They were the brave ones, not me.
Even before the Supreme Court’s decision, I learned that Insmed had, at least temporarily, granted all requested mandate exemptions. Although the edict is still in force and can be invoked at any time, no one has yet been fired based upon their vax status. That is great news, as the company has thus recognized that the health and safety of its employees and other stakeholders can be protected through less coercive and draconian means than mass firings.
Perhaps the seeming omnipresence of omicron among the vaxxed moved the needle on the mandate. Perhaps my resignation led to introspection about its nonsensical nature. And now that the Supreme Court has ruled, maybe the exemptions will be permanent; or better yet, the mandate will be reversed.
It is lamentable, though, that my former employer reached this rather obvious conclusion only after its “get vaxxed or get fired” edict, absent any government requirement whatsoever, caused the roiling anguish and distress that former colleagues shared with me. What a shame.

One thing I think happened to millenials is they were forced to go to schools where teachers were not allowed to have discipline. At the same time, the colleges of education at universities were pushing out the completely ridiculous idea that children needed ‘stimulation’ (aka lots of games and colors instead of educational content). Requiring students to sit quietly and be attentive was stunting their minds, according to the lefty profs in my master’s education classes. This caused many teachers to turn their classrooms into factories of distraction.
I think that experience gave that whole generation a feeling of chaos and insecurity, causing them to overreach for ‘order’ now.

I’ve always been grateful for my country education in a very small Montana town of about 500 residents. Our farm was 9 miles away.
No kindergarten. We were playing with our friends at home, at church, riding bikes together through the huge countryside, and playing with our many siblings. We were counting things at home and learning to read by watching and listening to our parents and siblings.
When we arrived at 8:45 am the first morning of first grade, at 8:45 am, many of us riding the huge (to us) orange school buses, having been on them for up to an hour, we gathered at the school house door as the teacher (no assistants–one teacher per class) gathered her new first grade class. She told us to get in a line. We did.
We followed her in a single line into the first grade room and found the desk with our name on it. We sat down. We did not chatter. We waited. We listened. We looked.
She began to explain the classroom to us. We listened.
She escorted us through a day of learning.
From 9-12, and then from 1-4 (except for a 20 minute recess morning and afternoon), we sat at our desks, except for rhythym band when we would stand in a loosely formed group with our sticks, our triangles, and our tambourines, learning how to recognize 3/4, 4/4 patterns.
Everyone went to the basement to use the girls’ bathroom or the boys’ bathroom at lunch time and at recess. It was rare that anyone ever had to raise their hand to use the bathroom during class time. If they did, they went there unescorted and returned in a timely way.
At recess time, with about 150 children (grades 1-6) on the huge playground which filled a country block, there was one teacher on playground duty. Only 37% would stop using the drug. Men were especially willing to do what they could to get their pills (60% would try to get them elsewhere, compared to 50% of women).
So to what lengths would we go? Some 78% would try to buy them online; another 17% say they’d travel to another country to get them, both risky moves at best.
Seems to me the boys were given the ADD medications at a higher rate than the girls, at least when my kids were growing up.
My question is…where are the men?
