checking out American Thinker , I see one of their main contributors is a a closet Cruzbot , good to know , her Article is a backhanded defense of a poor Ted , and at very the end she finds his “ sloppy’’ excuse credible , as ‘she has often used words sloppily “ = pretty weak , but good to know for future reference.

comment sections keep news/opinion sites honest. The lack of a comments section is always a red flag for me,
I agree , comments were best part , eliminated , I just glance at headlines quickly and seldom read stories , but curious/ had suspicion on Cruz article , which were confirmed , the fake conservatives still in love with Lyn’ Ted , just not as obvious , like the overt hatred that the Bushies / Cheneys have for President Trump for knocking out their man in the first round .

Please read my comment- American Thinker was threatened with a billion dollar lawsuit from Dominion. They were forced to move comments offsite. None of the writers and publishers could afford to defend against that kind of suit.
Agree, it was an attack, and attempt to silence a conservative site,, much like the short notice deplatforming of TCT.
AT did what they had to do, given their limited resources.
When we support such efforts by the enemy, to “pick off” member of “the rebel alliance” we give a victory to the enemy.
I continue to support TCT, GP AND AT, with my $ and clics, as a way of “thumbing my nose” at the enemy, like yelling “Lets Go Brandon” every day.
American Thinker is not what it once was, however, it still has articles posted that are worth reading.

The whole AT site – article writers, commentary, contributors – got censured over a year ago.
Some of the article writers were brought back, watered down ( negotiation with censor$) and the chance for AT comments went to a third party ( for the censures, to censure ).
Contributor Mr Loyd Marcus is missed.
Others are adapting to change, filling in, in other places…on frank speech, bannon, S Peter, s ….
and growing… etc.
That is why th eleft works so hard to get them removed, so you leave. AT now will let you pay them to comment sorry I read, don’t need to pay anyone for my opinion.

American Thinker is one of the best daily conservative/ political blogs out there and I am really surprised to see some of the comments claiming otherwise. Every day they have some of the best, most informative articles out there that include a lot of valuable information.
Note- the comments were removed after AT was almost put out of business by Dominion who threatened them with a billion dollar lawsuit that would have bankrupted them. I don’t think any of you would have stood your ground under that kind of pressure.
Finally- too many people around here that let the perfect get in the way of the good. Keep it up and this nightmare will never end.

I’m with you. I miss the comments at American Thinker but it usually has good articles by authors who support the MAGA agenda. It’s one of the better conservative sites in my view.
They still have comments. You have to go to MeWe to find them. As Seneca has already stated, they was an attempt to put them out of business so they had to detach the comment section. Now you have to sign up on MeWe to see the comments.

AT is one of my regular stops. I find the articles stimulating and worth reading.
I still READ AT, doesn’t mean I agree with what is written.
Ever since high school debate class, I have enjoyed ‘debating’ issues of the day, with those who hold views contrary to my own; it helps me to refine and articulate exactly what it IS, that I believe.
It is almost impossible, today for me to find individuals to debate with, because pretty much everyone who has views opposite to mine, have NO understanding or appreciation of the concepts of HOW to debate, immediately become extremely emotional; why do my opinions, and even the fact that I hold opinions that differ from theirs, make them so angry they can not even express themselves?
Anyway, lacking people I can debate, face to face, and finding most comments sections overrun with screaming nutjobs, I read at AT.
It doesn’t mean I AGREE with everything they say, but it gives me perspective, refines my views by challenging them, and gives me perspective on current events, by
hearing how others view them.

She gave an interesting take and analogized from her perspective as a writer – and while I’m not sure I agree, she makes an excellent, ultimate point – what happens/what she would do if in fact it came down to whatever Democrat vs. Cruz – she’s voting for Cruz.

That’s always good. Back 25+ years ago when a Trump like candidate ran for President, Chronicles Magazine was always solid backing him. I even talked to one of the editors during heightened Saul Alinsky attacks against him, and they told me, not to worry, they knew the truth and would continue to support him. I will say this: what the Dems are doing is destructive to the country, of course, but smart politically.
What they are doing, of course, is stirring up the hate for Trump again, and underscoring that as long as Donald Trump occupies the Oval, the country will be in a constant upheaval.
Are they the cause of the upheaval. Well, of course they are, but they understand human nature: a huge number of human beings absolutely shrivel in the face of any conflicts around them among family members, neighbors, fellow citizens.
They also understand another large group of voters recognize that the Dems and the Left are themselves responsible for the conflict but that were he elected to office again, the Left would make it hard, if not impossible for Trump to succeed. They see impeachment trials again.
Result: they feel they accomplish a great deal by showing that their hatred of Trump will always make life hard for the body politic.
Trump has to fashion language (substance and style) to that block of Americans with appearances that balance out his rally persona.
What I don’t get is why? They constantly tell is Trump is finished, yet they can’t stop talking about him. They can’t stop invoking him into every discussion, every plan, everything. Why? Why? Why?

How many times have we seen this headline? These people are losers and traitors and they know it. They NEVER were on the Trump team.

As Sundance stated, it was interesting, or better stated, ironic to me that Glen (Cheetos) Beck almost simultaneously interviews President Trump and the person he vehemently supported in 2016 Ted (Lyin) Cruz was disparaging what was essentially Tea Party (God fearing, patriotic, law abiding Americans) gathering II on 1/6/21 as terrorist.
Keep in mind Lyin Ted won his senate seat in 2012 riding the Tea Party wave just like Little Marco earlier in 2010, and what did we get for our sacrifice. “Zero, Zip, Nada” (RIP Rush)! Inside of this we must remember the words of Trent Lott R MS who retired from the senate in 2010 (to make some money) in regards to what happened with these Tea Party senators/weasels.

I had the distinct pleasure to see her speak twice, once as VP candidate and then in 2010 helping what became usury future swamp rats ascend to their positions of power. Not only was she beautiful, but she was sharp as a tack. Both times speaking extemporaneously (30-45 minutes), with a postcard size piece of paper with bullet points. Think of the “brilliant” Barry doing that, “ah-ah-umm..” To me, she was the early President Trump without the bankbook.
I know that President Trump is aware of “Cheetos” Beck’s duplicity and is using him to reach more Americans, but you can be certain that Beck has put his finger in the wind and is smart enough to understand where America really is, MAGA! But we all must be very careful with this creature; he’s a back stabbing, shape-shifting weasel and is up to his nostrils in swamp ooze.
I haven’t watched or listened to Glen Beck since his TV show and his speech on the Mall. But will suspend my standing rule of no Beck and watch as the Great Sundance recommends the interview, though still oozing with irony.

Beck organized the rallies in DC in 2009 and the next year I believe. We attended both and he had Sarah Palin at the second one as a key note speaker. He praised her and talked about her in positive ways all during that time after Obama’s election.
The first rally of mainly tea party people was massive. We were talking to a DC police officer as we left the rally—at the capitol no less-and he said they estimated the crowd at around a million. He was truly amazed at how calm, friendly and responsible this number of people were as they cleaned up after themselves. It really stuck with us what his reaction was.
My point is Beck at that time did a lot for the tea party. No one else since, until PTrump came along, has had the ability to gather people together, to impart well analyzed information and to take his media platform into the mainstream touting America’s history and her values and our freedom.
Whatever/whoever caused Beck to go off the rails and change his views, to encourage his anti Trump days and his pro Cruz stance before 2016 election, he has since done some very good things. Lately he has gotten back to some of his original platforms. So whatever good he can do for the anti globalist agenda we need to fight against with all hands on deck, is welcomed by me. Yeah he has a lot of ego faults and some mental hiccups, but if he can bring good information to the public which he still has influence in, then I say bring it.
Never understood it. Remember Neocon Fox fired him after he produced the Revolutionary Holocaust and had the director of the Soviet Story on his show. His video on Obama/Hillary op looting the Libyan armories to send the weapons to the ISIS terrorists was gold. He also has been great on immigration for decades.

I believe Beck has a medical condition. The meds required cause facial bloating as well as the skin color changes. So maybe we should go easy oh his appearance. Could be us someday.
I believe that Beck has commented in the past that he has gotten treatment for psychological disorders but am not sure if he is bipolar. He definitely seems to be all over the map in who /what he supports!
President Trump is doing a media blitz right now and so I suspect that he is willing to go onto shows that may or may not be supportive of him, just to be able to get his message out to as many people as possible.
When Beck was on Fox with his daily show, I saw him in what I’d call a bi-polar manic phase. I realize one can’t make an accurate diagnosis this way, but he showed all the signs of mania: pressure of speech, perpetual excitement, creativity.
He was reading, reading, reading, all night, no sleep, week after week, coming to the studio and explaining to us the connections he had made.
He started off coherent and articulate, in the manner a good teacher would lead his students, but as the days passed, one could see he hadn’t slept (he admitted so), and
he became unglued in front of me.
I am sorry I can’t recall specific things he said that made me think, “He’s off his rocker right now.”
Those were my observations as well.
The only thing that makes sense is someone threatening wives or children’s lives. Never underestimate what lengths they will go to. Harrison Deal for example.

But when we had the man, our Great American President Donald J Trump, he whiffed and zigged when he should have zagged. He was all about Ted Cruz. I was listening to his radio show the day he decided to go Never Trump. His two sidekicks were saying “No. Don’t do this. No!” but he did. I turned off his show that day and haven’t listened or watched one second of stuff since. Don’t plan on starting now. To be THAT WRONG at the time was beyond the pale for me.
It’s strange. he has done some excellent work, and some dumb things.

Friend of mine is “vaxx’d”, has been for months and just tested positive. Extremely sick. Several other people (work related) who took the jab and boosters also tested positive with symptoms.
My employer has a dedicated quarantine determination unit now. They do contact tracing, or a rough form of it. So they’re telling people who were jabbed and were exposed at work to “self monitor”. People who were jabbed (or not) and were exposed in their personal life are sent home, kept off work and charged sick time for being gone.

Exactly. And there are huge child credits/monthly payments, courtesy of we the taxpayers, currently going to households with children. Like 300+ per month PER child IN ADDITION to tax credits. I personally know people using these monthly payments for everything but child care, more like trips to Lululemon and mani/pedis for the moms (yes I understand many do have difficulty paying for childcare, but there is a whole lot of abuse). I like to tell one particular mom, 4 kids, “conservative” but happy with the extra cash (not wealthy but they were already paying for childcare without the extra $) “you’re welcome” when she flashes her new purchases she previously could not afford.
Most Lululemon shoppers aren’t eligible. They cut you off at a certain income level. That extra cash – for the ones who pay taxes is just their child tax credit early – they’ll likely owe taxes or get no refund in April.
