The wheels have come off the Biden presidency. What we’re seeing in VA. is the dominance of MAGA. Trump and MAGA are the Republican party—the RINOs are basically zombies wandering around looking for people to bite. Without the MAGA base no Republican candidate has a chance of getting elected because there simply won’t be anybody who will vote for them. If they don’t have Trump and Maga backing they’re toast.
What this means is that there are a lot of RINO/UniParty Republicans who can read the tea-leaves and realize that they’re time is done. The real question then for the Republican donor class, which seriously doesn’t like Trump, is where they go politically. They can suddenly become Har Left=Fascists of course but that would require an act of political double=think that even they would find difficult. They could become never-Trump-“conservatives” like Bill Kristol and support Biden and the progressives but that would simply make them irrelevant. So whre do those guys go? The answer is pretty simple: they better start thinking nice thought about DJT and the MAGA movement if they want their political beliefs to remain valid. Trump and MAGA ARE the Republican Party.

Fairfax County and City went 64-65% for McAulliffe.
Loudoun County went 55% for McAulliffe.
I am very relieved that Youngkin will be the Governor of VA for the next 4 years. And, yes, Trump’s endorcement was critical to his victory– to get MAGA voters to the polls.
FYI: McAulliffe has not yet conceded. Absentee ballots can still be received and counted until Nov 5.
Also, I’m still concerned about the 2020 election. What this victory arguably proves is that our elections are NOT rigged b/c: “see, a Republican won!”
With 45 days to vote in VA (w/stored ballots) + mail-in voting, DID the political class merely make a decision not to commit election fraud THIS time? If so, why did they make that decision?
The problem of election fraud still exists– the left/rinos COULD have committed fraud and installed McAulliffe. They simply decided not to that.
Most of us know President Trump won the 2020 election by a lot. That reality hasn’t changed and I don’t think this win helps PDJT.
McCain is making the valid point that Virginians voted against Trump in 2020 but for Youngkin in 2021 because they really didn’t like Trump. They voted for Youngkin b/c he wasn’t Trump. I would like to hear Youngkin give some credit to President Trump for his victory. Will he? Probably not.
Ultimately, it was critical to stop McAulliffe from becoming Virginia’s Gaovernor, especially after 2 destructive leftist Dem Governors. I’m grateful for that but I’m also very worried b/c election fraud is still easily committed in VA, and in most, even all states. So, in a way, we are being lulled into a false sense of trust — that our elections are authentic.
With all that has been revealed in Loudoun County all I can think is, WTF is wrong with that 55%?

Yes, they can still cheat. They backtracked from 97% precincts reporting to 94%, and counting has halted for the night. Dem counties have yet to report. We’ll see if trucks of ballots are delivered during the night. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus (for Dems).
Local VA coverage stated the difference with stopping the steal in VA last night is the number of GOP poll watchers. Over 90% of precincts in VA had GOP poll watchers. In 2020 it was about 30%. Steve Brannon has been pushing for over a year now for GOP activists to get involved as poll watchers and precinct committeemen. The big cheat of 2020 (with all the ballot harvesting and ballot stuffing) that occurred was not able to be pulled this time by the Democrats because too many people were watching and reporting it. The Dems tried several dirty trucks in the last week in Fairfax County and on Election Day. VA GOP took them to court and won. Trying to uncover and prove the fraud after the fact is too hard as we have seen as the courts just rule no one has standing.

Look to The Past, and you may see your own era, dim, somewhat distorted, but recognizable.
In the late 1970’s a journalist-turned-amateur historian* named Barbara Tuchman published a book called A Distant Mirror, whose thesis was that the turmoil seen in the late Middle Ages reflected that of the Twentieth Century, two massive World Wars followed by the break-up of empires amid countless smaller wars throughout the world, the Communist Revolutions, the Civil Rights Movement, etc.
In the later Middle Ages, starting in the early 1300’s (although one could start even earlier) , one can begin a litany of unrest, wars, revolutions, and disasters which seem eerily similar to those Tuchman saw in her lifetime…and which are continuing down to the present moment.
e.g. The revolt of Scotland under William Wallace and then Robert Bruce, the Black Death, Peasant Revolts from Sweden to Sicily (some united unlikely groups e.g. in the mid-1200’s Islamic peasants in Sicily joined Christian merchants in a revolt against Frederick II, French peasants went into Spain to crusade against Jews and were joined by Spanish peasants (see: The Shepherds’ Revolt of 1320)), The Hundred Years’ War, the Battle of Nicopolis (a disaster where a polyglot Christian army was routed by the Islamic Turks, allowing the latter to penetrate even deeper into southeastern Europe), etc.
At the same time, however, advances were being made in technology and science and geography: this was also the time of Marco Polo, the Portuguese explorations, gunpowder and its attendant weapons, and by the mid-1400’s the invention of the printed book and newspapers, which was even more revolutionary than the Internet and computers.
My point this morning is that eventually this chaos around us will settle, people are exploring and creating things as I write these words on a machine nearly impossible, to an audience nearly unimaginable, during my childhood, things which will help us either to prevent the destruction of Freedom or to re-establish it in the dim future, when perhaps the idea of Freedom will be reborn – will need to be reborn! – from the memory of our attempts to protect it.

My “litany” of chaotic events above could also include The Avignon Papacy and The Albigensian Crusade and the pre-1500 splintering of the Christian faith. Our era is seeing something worse: not a splintering over theology or organization but a complete loss of faith among previously Christianized areas.
The effects of The Black Death on increasing the chaos and on leading to revolts against the medieval establishment (e.g. Wat Tyler’s in England) must not be underestimated.
Because of depopulation from The Black Death, by the last half of the 1300’s the importance of the survivors as laborers and – since gunpowder was making the knight in armor obsolescent and then obsolete – as soldiers became great, and they used their indispensability as a lever for more freedom.
It will be interesting to see the results of the Wuhan Flu: certainly “depopulation” has not been great – unless you are talking about nursing homes in New York state – but other effects may arise, which we do not yet realize.
