They are a passive management company which focuses on very low cost management fees. They have been so successful that they are some of the largest shareholders of many stocks, but their purchase decisions are passive not active and they do not vote the proxies.
I could be wrong but I think the Vanguard thing in the media is mistaken. Their corporate culture is outstanding.
The other thing I have wanted to type for a while is something important but is not investment advice from me. The indexes that are so closely followed are weighted towards market cap. This means that the largest stocks make up the biggest percentage of the index. The top 10 stocks account for approximately 33% of the S&P 500 weighting. So If those stocks did not exist tomorrow the S&P would go down 33% automatically when the market opens. Empirical view but conceptually accurate
Now, here is why that is important. These large asset managers with billion $ plus portfolios cannot buy small and medium companies efficentiently. So what happens is they buy the largest market cap stocks (and charge active management fees). They all own Facebook, Apple, Netflix etc…The end result is a “centralized stock market” very much like a centralized monetary system.
This creates something called systematic risk which I will not bore you with right now.
The monetary system decentralization is what is causing the pain right now, but we have a problem in stocks too…and I havent even started on the Depository Trust Company

Frankly, I do not believe any reports of “case counts” anymore. If you are healthy, exhibiting no symptoms at all, but you are then (supposedly … did they actually do it?) given a medical test that isn’t supposed to be used that way, and it gives a (probably false) positive result – you are now “a ‘case?'” There is no uniform, standard, objective measure that is used by everyone who uses the term, and no real reason to conclude that it is meaningful at all. Pennsylvania was set up for major fraud in the 2020 Election. The Pennsylvania Auditor General warned us. In late 2019 the state’s Auditor General released a report that provided evidence that the state’s election process was not accurate, complete, or in compliance with election laws.
In December 2019 the Auditor General for the state of Pennsylvania released a report with terrible results related to the state’s election process. The Department of the Auditor General (DAG) was unable to confirm the state’s election process as being accurate, complete, or in compliance with election laws.
Not only this, but the state’s Secretary of State Office, the State’s Department of Transportation, and four local county offices would not comply with audit requests. These entities purposely blocked efforts to get to the truth in the election process so fixes could be implemented before the 2020 Election.

Illinois Democrats redistricted his seat in such a way that only Democrats can win in that area. All he can do is run and lose, so he quits.

Democrats are his team. I’m sure this was a coordinated move. RINOs are Democrats. The same party, same donors, same interests, vote the same, believe in the same things. They just choose the label Republican so they can take our donations and votes. In some areas that’s what they need to so to win. But now that they don’t need to pretend to be Republican so, no need for any RINO, he will pop-up somewhere else.
RINOs are only needed in red areas so the Ds can get elected. In blue areas they can be themselves and win as a D.
However when one pretend to be a Republican he can’t just switch party or the farce is over. It happens after they leave politics, like Bush, Collin Powell…. the mask comes off.
We will know when they are cornered the day they come out of the closed as D. That will be the day they know their time is up.
