Here’s a very long thread seeking to clarify the issue of how guns are typically handled on movie sets. One thing that was confusing to me was the constant reference to a “prop gun” that was loaded with a real bullet.
This explains what a prop gun is.
One thing I see from this tragedy is perhaps one of the reason some of your liberal elitist types don’t want us to have our guns, is because they know how careless they are with weapons, and assume we are the same way.
Only they assume they can get away with their carelessness, because they are superior beings to the rest of America, the flyovers.
The one nagging thing about this whole incident is that Baldwin has a history of being an out of control hot head when he gets upset. He also made some very dark statements on social media towards people who displease him. Can’t help but think he purposely aimed that weapon at the Halyna Hutchins’. The only question is, did he know it was loaded? This where the statements by studio armorers become important.
One also wonders why CG could not be used along with sound effects to mimic the shot being fired without there ever being a bullet or a blank. The actor shouts “Bang!” And they cut that out, insert the sound effect, and CG in a little smoke and muzzle flash.
Many action movies made today already use CG and are hybrids, live mixed with CG, for dangerous scenes as well as for battle or fight scenes.
You comment just adds a 3rd major question that would be asked as part of a serious investigation.
Did the script and production plan even call for weapons on the set?
1-Did he know it was loaded?
2-What peripheral events occurred leading up to the time of the shooting, which impact motive?
I think he totally did it on purpose/ but he’s so dumb that he didn’t know that a “blank” still ejects matter.

Seemingly, there is sufficient grounds to charge Baldwin with negligent homicide. To avoid a fate similar to his, read, memorize and obey the Four Rules.
I also understood that you never point a gun directly at a camera.
Agree but that is not my point. It should now be a question of which crime was committed, somewhere between: negligent homicide to premeditated murder.

I know Hollywood may close ranks to protect one of their own but a real investigation would answer those two issues.

Were the cameras rolling with the cinematographer and director close by monitoring the filming? If Baldwin is shooting directly at the camera (as it is rolling) for dramatic effect, I could see how he hit Hutchins.

I agree. With hindsight, I believe Pres. Trump would be less trusting of many who were recommended to him. I believe a committee will be formed just for vetting for a next term should he decide to run. Then the weasels can be fired on Day One.
The progressives have spent about 150 years making that impossible. before that, presidents were fully responsible for all government employees. Which meant that voting in a new president had a real change in government.
Now, there are only a handful of employees that a president can appoint or fire.
A lot of laws have to be changed, and a lot of unions have to be busted, before the people can once again fix government by electing different people to run it.
But the best fix would be to bust government down to almost nothing.
In my opinion, those “laws” that you speak of are unconstitutional infringements by the legislative branch on the executive branch. The president should fire everyone and tell the Supreme Court to go to H#$$.
The only way to do that is for Conservative States to secede from the failed union and start a new union from scratch, using the present U.S. Constitution as base, with a few things added, such as term limits for politicians and judges, voting in person with I.D., paper ballots only, etc..

My complaint for PDJT was his team not controlling the narrative. Clearly, they gave too much screen time to Fauci, Scarf, and Redfield and not enough pushback from, you know, actual practicing doctors and experts (internists, virologists, immunologists, etc.) that may have brought different opinions Fauci would have to address.

It got me thinking, with so many Americans struggling with weight issues, and it goes so far beyond them just eating too many snacks and not exercising enough, and so many families coping with caring for their autistic child, how are these not the number one most important “public health” issues, and how is it that 99% of our research dollars aren’t being spent on these “emergencies”?

Working in a grocery, I must disagree. Of course there are those who have severe metabolic issues, but most of the folks I see who are overweight aren’t even making an effort to help themselves eat reasonably. Worse, we taxpayers are often paying for their ridiculous purchases and healthcare.
Additionally, the ones who need to lose weight usually park closest to the door. They’ll sit in the road forever and wait for someone to pull out of a closer parking space. Sometimes, these lazy bums will just park right in the fire zone so they don’t have to walk a few extra steps!
I see this all day long, every day, as does everybody else I know who work at other stores.

I was at a family event this weekend, and all they had to drink was full-sugar sodas. I drank one, it had been ages since I had one, and I about gagged on how sweet it was. I drink coffee with a little cream, water, and unsweet tea.
Americans today are to lazy to cook many eat fast foods, processed foods and drink a lot of soda. Ever noticed those getting fast foods are all obese . Some people will always struggle to keep their weight down (heredity) and it is hard for them, but they try. I greatly respect that. It’s the ones who are lazy and make no effort to eat reasonably that bother me.

If you want to lose weight, learn to cook. Cook high-quality meals, eat some of it, and put the rest in the fridge for another day. You will lose weight and feel better besides.
I have a very interesting nutrition book written by a man who had both a DVM and an MD degree. (He was a vet to the Kentucky horse-farm people ?.) He said that he learned more about nutrition from his vet school than from med school. He also pointed out that a horse which is deficient in minerals will begin to eat the wooden sides of his stall – it’s called “cribbing.” But the snack-food industry calls it “the munchies.” The phosphoric acid in soda strips your body of minerals and causes you to excrete them in your urine. Your body instinctively starts looking for food … but the snacks don’t have it. So, you keep eating snacks, and drinking sodas that are in fact designed to make you thirsty.

A few years ago, a company put out a commercial where people – when asked for a soda, or even cereals – dumped piles of plain sugar from large measuring cups. When the manufacturers objected, the producers matter-of-factly told them that the amount of sugar used in each shot had been measured and was accurate. They had done their homework and proceeded to prove it … and the manufacturers immediately dropped the subject.
We shouldn’t wonder why we have an epidemic of diabetes. By and large, the world is not a “sweet” place except when the sugar cane and sugar beets ripen. Your pancreas is overwhelmed. Your bloodstream also contains sugars that haven’t been metabolized because the pancreas can’t produce insulin fast enough, and this, in and of itself, is physically dangerous.
Drink water. Maybe with a nice slice of lemon. Another refreshing summertime drink, although slightly sweet, is a high quality tonic water – with or without(!) the gin. (No, I’m not talking about Schweppe’s … I mean the good stuff.)

People who carry extra pounds will often blow out a knee or suffer from chronic aches and pains due to the increased weight on their joints. Then they get addicted to their pain meds and walk around in a perpetual fog.
Obesity also invites crippling diseases like diabetes and hardening of the arteries. If I were terrified of Covid, the first thing I would work on is diet and exercise.
Because the obesity issue is tied to big ag – if they stopped putting seed/vegetable oils in everything we eat, we’d all lose a ton of weight and lower the risk of heart disease and high blood pressure massively.
Ever wonder why young adults are so darn fat? They aren’t all eating crazy amounts of food yet are fatter than their parents and certainly their grandparents – the quality of our food is crap and is making each successive generation fatter and more unhealthy.
Yes!! There are many issues that are responsible for the current unhealthy state of many young people but one of the main reasons is the amount of processing that goes into so much of our food supply! Additives, preservatives, chemicals, food dyes, antibiotics and on and on…when I was a teenager, in the 70s, there were a few overweight kids in my classes but for the most part, everyone was relatively slim and healthy. Fast food wasn’t really a thing for most of us yet and most of our food was still locally produced by smaller, independent farmers and ranchers.
Now, almost everything is coming from huge AG conglomerates and much of it is full of chemicals, even things that are marked as “organic”.

The twin ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach said in a statement that arriving containers scheduled to be moved by trucks will be allowed to stay for nine days before fines start accruing. Containers set to move by rail can stay at the ports for three days.
After that, ocean carriers will be charged $100 per container, increasing in $100 increments per container per day, the statement said.
The new rules will go into effect Nov. 1.
“The terminals are running out of space, and this will make room for the containers sitting on those ships at anchor,” Port of Long Beach Executive Director Mario Cordero said in the statement.

The only way to quickly solve this problem is to suspend the green truck dictate so the containers can be hauled out.

“They won’t be able to walk down the street”. We’re getting there folks. You see it with FJB chants, breaking out around the world. People are taking it to the streets around the world. The most popular president in the history of the USA does a town hall on CNN and gets 300-thousand people looking in, huh? I would bet CTH gets that many views per day. When Potatus shows up at an event and the streets are lined with F-Biden and Trump Won banners and center finger salutes.
This national nightmare will end when We The People “Just Say No”! We are either going to have the Great Reset or the Great Awakening. My money is on the Great Awakening, how about you? We’ll see.

The only difference between now and then is that now the alphabet agencies monitor the communications, and infiltrate resistance groups and grass roots movements. Creating crimes and inciting violence to get their buddies to move in and make arrests.

The problem with this strategy is that the infiltrators will be able to identify their handlers, allowing them to be rounded up and imprisoned for their crimes after the Restoration is accomplished.
Correct, and we know they do (monitor us). Use it. Or comply. Or make like a hole in the water and disappear. Many choices, all valid. God gave us free will. No man, nor group of men, can take that away from us. Their lives are no more or less sacred than ours.

My late father in law used to say decades ago that the second we all, down to a man and woman, refused to pay federal income taxes, that would be the end of government. He was not wrong in principle. We have a better chance with this issue. As Rand Paul said, they can’t arrest us all.
Except 61% of citizens don’t pay federal taxes. So you only need 39%. Problem is millionaires and billionaires pay because they enjoy carve outs via lobbyists.

They then talked about the hundreds of thousands that showed up and surrounded the Pentagon in protest. ( This event has been memory-holed , only Jan. 6th ever happened … )
He said again , how many people ? The number is irrelevant …. ENOUGH … Enough got pissed off to inspire change and awakening.
