I have heard that the CTH has been referred to as being more “cerebral” than other sites. I took that to mean more ‘educated’ on discussion topics (and yes, we also feel very strongly about our conservative heritage as related to those topics)…

100%. There’s an “outbreak” in my department at work. Meaning one dude tested positive with a home kit and two others are in “quarantine” and can not come to work for 2 weeks.

The above seem contradictory to me. I think what they are saying is that the vaccine enables the variant to continue to spread which is allowing herd immunity to be achieved but with the vaccinated not getting severe symptoms in the process. So the vaccine does not work (people still get Covid) but ironically does work (it leads to herd immunity).
When you read what their FHI is saying, it is really a championing of the vaccine (they are at 84% now) and attribute that vaccine coverage as the reason they can return to nearly normal life.
Of course nowhere in this is there any acknowledgement of vax side effects or long term consequences, so there’s that.
