It’s a very interesting problem. The new normal is that workers don’t want to go back to the old normal.
I was out driving in the PA suburbs doing errands yesterday, and stopped at good old Wendy’s. At the drive thru, we have a job list for PT starting $12/hr all the way up to FT Closer at $15/hr. Is that really enough pay for a COVID-terrorized family sending their teen son or daughter out into the world risking an infection (that the media tells them is life threatening)? Maybe that dad thinks, my son doesn’t really need that job yet, let’s wait until spring when things calm down. That teen thinks, I can’t afford that used car anymore, what am I working for?
Then I watched a commentary later on YouTube, asking Why do we work for other people? Most of us had dreams of running our own business, being the boss, but we sideline them for the promise of stability. We help another company reach its dream, and we get a low risk salary medical etc… so we thought. COVID taught us that most companies will furlough you in a second when the going gets tough, and then what? Why not take that gig job doing what you love, or start that online business crafting, or whatever. You might find your “take home pay” is better without all the middlemen management.

I’m old enough to remember a time when there were no fast food restaurants looks like we’re headed that way again if progressives have their way! The rich will dine at fine restaurants no matter the cost so they won’t be effected but for the rest of us who is going to pay for a $25 burger at McDonalds? Back in the early 80’s I read article in the business section of The Oregonian {back when it was a newspaper and not birdcage liner). It was about he fact that the US economy would eventually end up as a service sector economy. That our manufacturing base was end up in third world nations where labor was cheap and there were no environmental laws to keep down industrial pollution.
Look where we are today.

Why do we need “immigration reform?” I consider it a buzzword phrase that’s become catchy and people suddenly feel compelled to believe we need it. In my view, what we need to do is enforce the law ie: secure our border. And if there’s going to be any reform, I’d want to see less immigration right now.

The federal district judge who tortured Lt Gen Flynn handed down a ruling a few days ago that said the folks who show up and claim asylum must not be sent back to Mexico under Section 42 public health rules. I posted this on the thread about the parliamentarian.
During the Trump and Biden administrations, migrants who have reached the United States have routinely been expelled to Mexico under a health order put in place at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. But a U.S. district judge ruled Thursday that the order is unlawful because expelling asylum seekers denies them “the opportunity to seek humanitarian benefits” they are entitled to under immigration law.
Handed down by Judge Emmet Sullivan, the ruling takes effect in 14 days. However, it applies only to families and not single adults, who represent a sizable portion of migrants recently detained by the USBP.

Out of all the vaccines I have taken in my life: Tetanus, small pox, polio etc., never before have I seen so much confusion over a vaccine that says I have to wear a mask, and socially distance even when fully vaccinated. Apparently I could still contract or spread the virus even when fully vaccinated.
Never had to have a double shot, never been bribed by establishments to take the vaccine in order to win a car, cash, or other prizes.
I never had to worry about cardiac issues and/or blood clots and sadly more, I didn’t have to worry about death.
I was never judged if I didn’t take it.
I was never discriminated against for travel or other regular services.
The vaccines I have listed above never told me I was a bad person for not taking it, or taking it for that matter.
I have never seen a vaccine that threatened the relationship between a family member or a close friend.
Never seen it used for political gain and never seen it used to persuade children in favour of free ice cream or teenagers going into a night club.
I have never seen a worry about a mix and matching and yet told it’s OK to do it one day and not the next and on and off again.
I have never seen a vaccine threaten someone’s livelihood, job, school, etc.
I have never seen a vaccine that allows a twelve year old’s consent to supersede his/her parent’s consent.
So after all I have said, can someone tell me how on God’s green earth I am a racist or conspiracy theorist. Non educated, non researched because I am not willing to take this vaccine.
And the clinical trials will not be over for at least two years from now.
Finally, after all the vaccines (shots) I listed above, I have never seen a vaccine like this one that discriminates, divides, and judges a society such as this one.

More Republican governors across the United States are publicly supporting President Joe Biden’s massive refugee resettlement operation out of Afghanistan which is set to bring at least 95,000 Afghans to the U.S. over the next year.
Last week, the Biden administration announced that the first group of roughly 36,000 Afghans brought to the U.S. at rapid speed will be resettled across 46 states — including Texas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
The only areas not receiving Afghans are Hawaii, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming, and Washington, DC.
With more details from the Biden administration on the resettlement operation, more Republican governors have come out to support the plan. In August, without having vetting or screening details, 10 Republican governors announced their support for the plan and asked Biden to resettle Afghans in their states.
Those 10 Republican governors include South Carolina’s Henry McMaster, Maryland’s Larry Hogan, Massachusetts’ Charlie Baker, Utah’s Spencer Cox, Georgia’s Brian Kemp, Arkansas’ Asa Hutchinson, Arizona’s Doug Ducey, Iowa’s Kim Reynolds, Oklahoma’s Kevin Stitts, and Vermont’s Phil Scott.

When you upvote, it “refreshes” that individual post, and you then see the new total upvotes for that post. If, instead, you refresh the entire page; you’d then see updated upvotes for all posts on that page (instead of just the single one that got refreshed when you upvoted it).
That’s all just my guess. Hope it makes sense…

DELIBERATE Ignorance And Death by ‘Health Care’
Now enter Covid-19. Fauci runs an unproved line of crap on Remdesivir, claiming “clear-cut evidence” that it helps people recover from the disease.
What was Remdesivir?
It was a three-time loser! It had been trialed as a drug against both Hepatitis-C and RSV, a viral disease that usually attacks young children and can be fatal in them. It failed both trials.
Next it was tried against Ebola and failed there too.
But this time, with very limited evidence that it might shorten hospital stays and in fact zero evidence that it cut mortality, because we were in a pandemic that very limited evidence and no evidence that it prevents death allowed it to be given an EUA. It’s quite-expensive too since it’s on-patent — about $3,000 to be precise for the usual course of administration plus thousands more in charges by the hospital to administer it since it is an IV medication. Any hospital using it makes a crap-ton of money giving it to you.
Further trials occurred over the next months with the most-important one arguably being SOLIDARITY, a very large multi-national in-hospital trial that covered multiple drugs. It failed there too; it not only had no statistical benefit on outcome it wasn’t the only one; indeed, zero of the trialed drugs when used in the hospital setting, that is, presumably late in the disease, worked — including HCQ. I was not surprised by any of those outcomes; HCQ, for example, would not be expected to work in the hospital because at that point viral replication is complete and its mechanism of action, such as it is claimed, was against viral replication.
The problem is that Remdesivir was developed and sold as an antiviral so why did anyone think it would work in the hospital under the same circumstance — viral replication having completed — where HCQ fails?
Yet even today it will be given to you if you check into a hospital with Covid-19. It is part of the “official protocol.”

She refused to consider it — even after the days and days came and went with her sitting in the hospital for little reason…
— The same phenomenon/mindset is going on all over concerning how the Hospitals are treating Covid Patients: From the very first days of the Virus in the US —- we’ve heard about —- the use of Ventilators.
They were part of the recommended treatment from the national + global health orgs. — But, doctors were reporting everywhere, they were destroying people’s lungs + killing them. That whatever damage the virus does or problems it causes in the lungs — makes the Ventilators cause more harm than good….
But – the National Health Orgs tied —– federal funding — into using — ventilators.
Hospitals that were laying off doctors + nurses because other patients were too scared to go to the Hospitals — were given a HUGE financial incentive to — list more + more people as Covid Cases. They were given more + more $$$ to follow the national protocols —- even when some professionals were blowing the whistle that the protocols were causing more deaths than need to be…

Anyone who runs dialysis for other people as a nurse or who has had to have it done knows damn well that the process is not just about removing what would otherwise be piss. Oh sure, that’s part of it — but it’s a complex dance when you try to replace that which the body does on its own with external process and doing so requires a crap-ton of attention and replacement of those functions. When you are under severe disease stress the odds that this sort of dysfunction and the inability to match natural response artificially, even in the short term and the best of skill, will kill you is quite high.
As a result it is entirely reasonable to expect that if you give Remdesivir, with a known 10-20% rate of significant kidney disruption rate to a group of people who are ill enough to be hospitalized it might well kill 10% of those it was given to via this toxicity. Therefore in order for the drug to be considered worth the risk it would have to save statistically more people than it harms by enough to produce a hazard ratio that was materially in favor of the treatment and the confidence band would have to conclusively show that.
The data from SOLIDARITY said that isn’t the case.
It gets worse.
Death from the above can be determined at autopsy. Dysregulation of the first several of those items will produce differentiated edema, particularly in the lungs. That is, excess fluid. This is immediately obvious on autopsy and is wildly different than what is apparent if coagulation killed the patient, which is typically what results with Covid pneumonia that leads to death.
They aren’t looking, on purpose, and in fact people who have specifically asked for autopsies are being refused.
If you did 100 of them on Covid hospitalized deaths, all of which got Remdesivir and found half of them had evidence of systemic harm from the drug well……
History rarely repeats, but it frequently rhymes. Fauci, at the same time arguing for Remdesivir, an on-patent and expensive medication along with mandatory vaccination, argued against, and continues to argue against the early use of Ivermectin, HCQ and even Budesonide, three drugs for which we have decades of safety data and which are used routinely by huge numbers of people — we have history on close to 4 billion human doses consumed for Ivermectin, millions of RA and Lupus sufferers use HCQ daily and Budesonide is commonly prescribed as a maintenance drug for daily use by asthmatics.

He was vice-president only of the respiratory research unit in Sandwich, Kent, which was a small unit and was subsequently closed. He was not “Former VP of Pfizer and Chief Virologist.” That claim has been discredited.
