Now comes this… TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Florida will start issuing $5,000 fines to businesses, schools, and government agencies that require people to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination.
Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill earlier this year that banned vaccine passports. The fines will start on Sept. 16 if people are asked to show proof of a vaccine. Violators will have the chance to appeal but, once the fine is finalized, they will have 30 days to pay. (read more)

Scott was actually good as our Gov but had to leave his “nads”in FL to get inside the Beltway, you know that Rhino Toll that they collect for their support. Gov D was trashed on this site when he signed the bill that allows FL to have mandate authority by those who do not understand that it was to elevate that authority to a tenth amendment issue that should survive SCOTUS when Federal mandates arrive.

So, Gov. DeSantis must start a forensic audit of the 2020 election in Florida. Moved from Maskachusetts to Fort Myers this June. One of the best decisions I ever made. A lot more people are now wearing the face diaper because of the constant fear mongering from local news regarding the Delta variant. I also think a lot of new visitors are still conditioned to the mask.
The only place I am required to wear the diaper is at the dentist waiting area and I presume other medical facilities. Governor DeSantis is a warrior and leading the nation away from government tyranny.

I dunno. I’m in Michigan. Favorite sub shop down the street made a Facebook post in fear of having to close up shop after 47 years for lack of employees. Luckily on day one after the post they got more applications than in the past several months combined. Side note: After being closed for months last spring/summer they shortened hours way down to only open M-F 10-5. They make just as much money in those hours as they did when open til 9pm 7 days a week. The die hards love this sub shop.
Daughter and SIL are both gainfully employed. She’s an accountant for a major university and he calibrates robotic arms. Both have been threatened with demotions and other disciplinary action for failure to get vaxxed. Thank God, daughter was approved for a religious exemption. Son has been passed over for a promotion, in fact, is facing demotion to make room for a vaxed person.

Florida state UI states that you must show that:
1) You were not fired “for cause” which is misconduct connected with work; or,
2) You did not quit solely for personal reasons.
Yes, and right to work, the term, mainly applies to affiliation, or not, to collective bargaining. Outside that, one can be let go for no reason at all.
In the current legal climate surrounding anything Covid, the judiciary has predominently sided with ‘the crisis’ and what we heretofore considered draconian measures and actions have been supported.
So, if one is fired and one desires to file a wrongful termination lawsuit and has the deep pockets to enrich the currently glacially slow legal system to pursue it, one might receive a modicum of justice, might, months if not years down the road. Of course the Communists know this. They designed the current legal system, how it works right now, and who’s employed in it. And then there’s the unvaccinated not being a legally protected class at the federal level.
I run into a similar problem as an old guy. Companies can and do discriminate regarding age; they’re simply smart about it because they have, ta da, smart lawyers advising them on how to do such discrimination. IMO, learn from Lawfare. As for leftists, I think that they should be seen as members of a cult and the same methods of de-programming can be used against them. Isolating them from the cultist messaging though will prove tricky due to it’s prevalence. One highly effective way, which I have witnessed, is constantly asking questions about their beliefs. It may seem ineffective, but each little doubt chips away, rather like shooting at an atlas stone with a 9mm. The trick is not to attack straight away, as a cultist will defend with the same strength as the attack. Just questions, ask why, be clever, understand as you undermine.

You’ve got to be *clever* and patient as you chip away their beliefs. Helps to even find places where you agree w/ them and then express your own doubts about aspects of that belief at some point. Like you are “trying to work it out for yourself”. It’s a way to get them to start questioning that belief themself.
It’s kinda fun, once you get the hang of it.
Does this mean he will be charging Delta 5000 dollars per month for each unvaxxed employee that is charged the 200 dollars per month in increased health insurance premiums for not providing vaccination proof as required!
