I had never heard of ISIS-K until I read these agreements this past week.
Afghans are fighting among themselves over Shia-Sunni. That’s not our affair. The only reason we went to Afghanistan is because they harbored/hosted etc AlQaeda. President Trump’s team had negotiated with the Afghan government and the Taliban to prevent AQ and IS or any other group from Afghan soil, a major accomplishment. My dear friend’s son is also on the ground in Afghanistan. He said it was chaotic and emotionally draining.
I’ve been keeping all of these military in my prayers, this abysmal ending was all so unnecessary.
After the news this morning of American military deaths I almost wish I didn’t know; either my friend lost her son, or some other mother’s son is dead. My heart is breaking.
