I got a question. Its a simple, complex question I’d wager. Why are politicians not asking for votes but rather money? I recall in my youth that those running, except for president, would ask people in their state to vote for them. Isn’t that one of the problems of today? Money. It seems they start expecting citizens to pay for their needs even before they get in office and continue until they leave which, by the way, is often after making millions. Lindsey Graham was on my facebook feed last election year asking for donations. I responded that he should be asking for votes from his state, not money. That might be the problem in elections today. Everyone is up for money and what does money buy? Stolen elections?
They obviously no longer need our votes to install themselves into power. But who doesn’t like some extra cash?

in my view the country is actually being run by three states. CA which is Pelosi and a number of other big mouth democrats, Schumer who I think comes from New York and guess who? Kentucky who keeps us ever burden with McConnell. Its a shame that we have six; 2 chairs, 2 co chairs, and 2 whips that more or less runs the rep and senate. Now that vaccinated people are HOSPITALIZED (with serious symptoms) they completely ignore those presenting with vascular issues like blood clots, heart attacks and strokes.. No correlation to the vaccines is presumed and no autopsies are performed, in any case.
Hospitalized vaccinated people having COVID symptoms, however, are said to be “waning” and in need of another kill shot STAT.

I’m tired of hearing the “they are lazy and can make more on unemployment” MYTH being repeated, on the topic of what is happening to our workforce in America.
The unemployment situation only affects a small number of workers. Many workers are quitting, if you quit your job you are ineligible for unemployment. If you refuse to come back to the same job you were barred from due to the COVID, you are ineligible for unemployment.

It becomes obvious, the “vaccine requirement” for a dangerous, untested, non-vaccine is the coup de gras to the exceptional American worker/business.

It was a little place. It became almost a home. People you knew, but didn’t really know. You knew ’em well enough to rub elbows, you made “friends” and knew their names, but they were not, for the most part, really “friends” per-se. Few if any ever came to your home, or you to theirs. But it didn’t matter. It was a community.
It went on for years.
Covid-19 comes. Yeah, there are tough times. Governors being dickheads, people being stupid. Can’t have anyone you don’t live with in your group. Must maintain six feet. Take it outside. Slowly, the stupid recedes. The people come back. Some of the camaraderie was damaged, maybe even critically damaged, but the rest of it remained.
There was a rot underneath, however. It had been there a while. Years, even. Management didn’t really give a **** about the people who worked there. The employees were basically to be exploited, even maybe a crass word once in a while — or once an hour.
But — there were perks. The people who worked there knew you. You knew them. You made their day, and they made yours. They smiled, you smiled. There were hugs. There was a balance, and so even with the ****, for the most part, people considered it worth it.
Such balance only exists to a point. Eventually people who run that sort of crap go too far. And…. they did.
Key people said **** this and left. Oh sure, you can hire someone else. But it wasn’t a body that made the difference, it was the person. The person isn’t there. They weren’t replaceable — not easily, and certainly not for the pay on-offer. So you got the lowest common denominator, key word — lowest.
Now what was is gone. Oh sure, the name is still on the front door. The place is still, well, allegedly what it was. But it isn’t. Nobody knows you anymore. The service is for dog****, the selection has gone down the toilet, the people, well…. robots.
Who knows whether the tourist nature of things will keep the doors open. For a while, on inertia, probably.
But for long?
No.
What was, and what made it all special….. is gone.
If you’re one of those *******s running a business — a hospital, a medical clinic, a store, a bar, anything who thinks you can be a douchebag and get away with it — mandates, screaming at people, demanding more, paying less, hiring contractors rather than paying your own folks and expecting 2 people to do the work of four but not giving them the other two people’s pay: You deserve what you have coming for what you’ve done to people. I hope you get a 60grit sandpaper dildo up your butt, put there by the people you abused.
It’s been a long time coming.

They are saying that most likely disqualifies you for unemployment.
