When I heard we were sending in more troops, my first question was, “how do we get them back?”.
When we left a few weeks ago, we had a 300K Afghan army backing us up. We were in control of most of the ground and all of the air. Now we have 6000 troops, 2000 civilians and 10,000’s of civilian allies stuck in the middle of a hostile, landlocked country, with no reliable allies nearby. This is not going to end well.

I think the most underreported story thus far is the number of Americans trapped behind enemy lines and unable to get to the airport. I’m sure it’s at least in the hundreds, if not thousands.
The revelation of the collapse of the vaccine narrative is conveniently covered up by the news of the atrocity in Afghanistan.
These things do not work for what they were intended to work for, let alone as a vaccine, yet the fanatics will not let up.

There are a major pre-conditions that had to be set before the disasters of Afghanistan exploded across the TV screens to divert 100% of attention. These need to be included, when looking back at reasons why.
First, a totally resurgent and utterly confident China Inc. had to be established. It was always the plan for them to assume control of the franchise in Afghanistan as a business deal vs nation building exercise. Russia was always there but they no longer have to be wary of any economic damage the US can do to them.
Second, the US had to be financially neutered…which it is, now dependent on imports with a total roll back to the 2015 main street economy. Then there is a central government marking the US down the road to a fascist-Marxist totalitarian system. Plus, the US will be unable to apply any of the President Economic magic to control the Taliban with China Inc. and Russia in the ascendancy.
Third, the US had to be militarily neutered to preclude any meaningful strikes vs the Taliban central Taliban royalty, terrorist camps or separate warlords who misbehave. Just in case see, First Condition…China Inc. now protects them diplomatically.
Very hard to predict the future after the collapse of the western democracies(happening as we speak). Maybe we’ll all turn into the medium level totalitarianism of China, or maybe mercantile China collapses as we do. this just amazes me – attached is a link to a JCS website that provides a description of a plan all overseas military organizations are supposed to maintain, a Non-combatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) plan. I had to comply with this during my assignments overseas. I also had to provide similar information to my employer when I was in combat zones as a contractor. So, the JCS has a requirement to have a plan to evacuate non-combatants in the event of increased threats. Did CENTCOM or any lower echelons have a plan, and why was it not implemented prior to troop withdrawal? Bunch of CYA going on now, and I’d bet the current administration just blew off any advice they were getting to clear the country of non-combatants before the drawdown.
