We used anew tax preparer this year. Made the mistake of not telling her wanted direct deposit. Finally got ours last month.
Got mine last week. The IRS reduced my refund by $700 ~ a letter of explanation is in the mail. ?
My refund has been withheld since I filed on April 13th – I have a suspicion that they are training auditors To punish taxpayers who may not be the right category… (ie liberal)
We filed the simple form – standard deduction. its a pretty straight forward return. We are expecting about a 3k refund. That may be the reason. They just want to keep it. Maybe we will forget. I am hesitant to contact them.
I guarantee you, If I owed money, it would not be in limbo.
I am quite certain we are not going to see a kinder, gentler IRS under this regime.

I mailed a paper return on April 11th. Checked again 2 week ago and IRS site still could not acknowledge the return was even received.
Refund was in the mail this week with interest. Not much but I bet they will be looking next year to make sure I claim it.
Personally, listening to many stories, I believe it’s date-related more than anything else, with later returns getting swept up in the processing mess and delaying refunds and/or other actions.
As an antithesis, I file a complex return every year, this year kinda light at just under 100 pages, all for nothing more than getting refunded what I paid in ACA premiums last year and filed that return as soon as it was possible to do so in early February and had the refund within ten business days. Filed electronically as done for last 20 years or so, and refund received similarly. Been doing my own tax returns since 1975.
Anyway, good news is when your refund does arrive it will include interest on the delay. There’s a published formula for that. My bet is it will be no problem. Frustrating, yes.

Even if polls were only to measure opinion the problem is that it fosters the idea of majority rule. That is antithetical to human justice and our American system. So yesterday I went to Walmart primarily to get socks. Two aisles of socks were under locks and key with a button to push if you needed socks. I pushed the button and nobody came (of course).
I first noticed lockdowns years ago on AA hair products. Racist! Researching that I see they changed that policy. If you lock down all the socks of course, nobody can claim racist. You just have to inconvenience everyone equally and you are OK.
This is where the vax passport would come in handy. You need socks. You press a button and a robot comes by to unlock the case for you but it requires your passport to get the socks. You are now registered as having the socks. If the socks do not show up as paid for you lose unlocks privileges in every store nationwide.
This would of course be socking it to shoplifters.
Shoplifters can get a fair number of socks for under $ 950. But with inflation maybe not, the $ 950 limit needs to be raised to be fair to the shoplifters.

I believe there is a $1000 exclusion so if you shoplift $ 950 you owe that plus $ 50. And there’s a mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years.

I will say that I think that there is something that has changed in our environment that has caused a dramatic up tic in the cases of autism. I also looked at anotther study that the group did on HCQ, financed by the Gates Foundation.
The time to hospitalisation was longer, the time to Viral clearance was shorter and nobody died in the HCQ group.
But it was “no better than the control group” where 1 person did die.
There are quite a few studies like this where the conclusions do not match the actual results.

SARS-CoV-2 Transmission among Marine Recruits during Quarantine
RESULTS
A total of 1848 recruits volunteered to participate in the study; within 2 days after arrival on campus, 16 (0.9%) tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, 15 of whom were asymptomatic. An additional 35 participants (1.9%) tested positive on day 7 or on day 14. Five of the 51 participants (9.8%) who tested positive at any time had symptoms in the week before a positive qPCR test. No SARS-CoV-2 infections were identified through clinical qPCR testing performed as a result of daily symptom monitoring.

The above tests shows a profound change in how we view sickness. If the daily monitoring had been done prior to the use of the emergency authorized PCR test we would have concluded that one recruit out of 1848 (0.05%) showed up with either a cold or flu symptoms. Over the course of being on campus together for a 14 day period, an additional four (0.20%) recruits also had cold or flu symptoms.
But notice in this test, all positive PCR test results are labeled SARS-COVID-2 even if the marine had no symptoms o sickness. By doing this the authors are saying that 90% of the SARS-COVID-2 cases have no symptoms, 46 out of 51 cases.
It seems incredible to me that there is no mention that some of these cases might be false positives, or that the cases with symptoms might be a cold or the flu, but no they are all labeled as SARS-COVID-2.
So either we have a PCR test that produces a tremendous amount of false positives or we have a disease that has no effect on the vast majority of those who catch it. Since nothing was said about the severity of the five marines that had symptoms I suppose the latter possibility is true regardless of the validity of the PCR test

That is my concern. We have been homeschooling for 10 years in Illinois, which believe it or not is pretty lax. There was a brush up a few years ago where they tried to enstate some sort of oversight but the parents flooded to statehouse and made them table the bill.
My hope is that all the new homeschoolers actually homeschool and not just leave their kids alone in front of a computer all day and call that home educating. Point here is if the carriers and/or adjuvants don’t activate the innate immune response, the dsRNA resulting from the current vaccines certainly should. Can the current covid vaccines, when given to pregnant females, increase chances of an autistic child? I found out you can take ivermectin as preventive for a couple of months and then as needed.
It only works in phase I of infection when the virus is multiplying. So if you have been exposed to the virus by being around someone who after being near you tests positive. You can take Ivermectin.
It doesn’t work after the virus has already infected your whole body and you have severe symptoms.

To clarify HCQ is more effective as an early treatment and protector, where as Ivermectin acts in all stages of the infection. But as in all viral infection early is always more effective than later.
